Your life can look “successful” and still feel like it’s quietly falling apart. We see it all the time with high achievers: career and finances are strong, but health, relationships, fun, and personal growth are running on fumes. That gap is not a character flaw. It’s a visibility problem, and it’s exactly what the Wheel of Life assessment is built to fix.

We walk through the Wheel of Life framework across eight categories (health, career, money, relationships, personal growth, fun, environment, contribution) and show you how to score each one honestly from 1 to 10. Then we use three questions to turn those numbers into clarity: which area would create the biggest ripple effect with a two-point improvement, what “good enough” has actually cost you, and what a real eight-out-of-ten Tuesday looks like 90 days from now. Health comes up as the foundation because without energy, every goal becomes harder, slower, and more fragile.

We also share a practical way to use AI for holistic life coaching. You’ll hear a ready-to-copy prompt that helps AI spot the low-score areas creating drag and generate three specific micro actions you can take this week. For ongoing reflection, we talk about AI journaling with Rosebud and why quarterly reviews beat waiting for a yearly reset. The goal isn’t a perfectly balanced life. It’s a life that’s moving forward on purpose, with fewer blind spots.

Take the free Wheel of Life assessment linked below, then share your lowest score with us. If this helped, subscribe, leave a review, and send it to one person who needs a reset.

Enter the following prompt into your favorite LLM (I use Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini but my favorite is Claude)

{Here are my Wheel of Life scores across eight areas: [paste your scores]. I want you to act as my holistic life coach. First, identify the two or three areas where low scores are most likely creating drag across the other areas. Then, for my single lowest-leverage area -- the one I should address first -- give me three micro-actions I could take this week that would move my score by at least one point. Be specific. Not motivational. Actionable.}

The Expensive Myth Of Success

SPEAKER_00

The Wheel of Life, the framework that shows you everything. So I want to ask you a question that most people can't honestly answer. On a scale of one to ten, ten being absolutely thriving, one being barely functional, where are you right now? Not in work, not in your relationship, in your life, your whole life, all areas of it. Most high achievers I talk to score an eight or nine in one or two areas, usually career and finances, and a four or five and everything else. They've been excellent at one thing by sacrificing everything adjacent to it, and they call that success. Today I want to show you why that's the most expensive bet you've ever made and what you can do about it. Welcome to Becoming Limitless. I'm Claude Furlong, author, AI transformation coach, and the person who will tell you what your friends are too polite to say. Every week we go deep on one of the eight areas of life that determine how big your life actually gets: health, career, money, relationships, personal growth, fun, your environment, and your contribution to the world. If you're ready to stop optimizing for survival and start building a life that actually fits who you are becoming, you're in the right place. So let's go. A few years ago, I was objectively successful by every external marker, the business, the income, the reputation, the network, I was doing well. Really well. I was also exhausted, disconnected, and running on fumes in about five of the eight areas of my life. But because career and finances were at an eight and nine, I told myself I was fine. I was better than fine. I was great. And I kept telling myself that until my health just crashed the story completely. And here's what I learned and what I now teach. You cannot optimize what you cannot see. And most of us are walking around with massive blind spots in our own lives, convinced that the areas we're not looking at are probably fine. But they're not fine. They're not fine. They're leaking, they're leaking energy, they're leaking money, they're leaking time. Every area of your life that you're neglecting is quietly draining energy from the areas you supposedly are excelling in. It's a system. And an unbalanced system will always find a way to correct itself, usually at the worst possible moment. The wheel of life is the tool that makes the invisible visible. And once you see it, really see it, but you can't unsee it. Here's the lie that high achievers tell themselves. Right now I'm focused on building the business. Everything else can wait. We can push it aside. We can put it to the side. Right now I'm focused on my health. I'll deal with my finances when things settle. Or right now is just not the right time to work on relationships. The business needs me. Does that sound familiar at all to you? Here's the truth there's no right time that's coming. The settling, it never happens. The weight is not strategic. It's avoidance, dressed up as discipline. And the career relationship trade-off, high achievers lose that bet every single time. Not always, but often enough that I've stopped being surprised when someone who has built an extraordinary professional life find themselves completely alone or completely burned out or completely disconnected from why they started in the first place. A two in fun is telling you something. A three in health is sending you a message. A four in relationships is not sustainable. Not for you and not for the people in your life who deserve way more than your leftover energy. And the wheel of life, it doesn't lie. That's exactly why people avoid taking it seriously. It's a tool that I use all the time with my clients. That's where we start. I send them to my assessment. I tell them, take this, let's see where you are. It's it's it acts as sort of a benchmark for me to see where they are in their lives and what needs the most attention the quickest. And so here's how the wheel of life actually works and how to use it as more than just a pretty diagram in a workbook. So let's take a quick break so that I can tell you about something I think you're actually going to use and love. It's called Rosebud. And it's an AI journaling app that does something regular journaling can't do. It asks you follow-up questions. You write an entry or you voice record it, and instead of just sitting there on the page, Rosebud responds. It asks, what's underneath what you just wrote? It spots patterns across your entries over time. It functions like a thinking partner that remembers everything you've told it, which means it gets more useful the longer you use it. I use it for the processing work we talk about on the show, the stuff that happens between the big moments, the weekly reviews, the thoughts you need to externalize before they start making any sense. If you've been meaning to build a journaling practice and never quite stuck with it, it's because journaling alone doesn't really talk back. But Rosebud does. And you can even program it so that it sounds a certain way, approaches you in a certain way, for an even more personalized experience. The links in the show notes, my.rosebud.app. Try it for a week and tell me what it surfaces for you, what it does for you. I've been using it for over a year now, and it's been a total game changer. Try today. Each one gets a score from one to ten. One is this area is in crisis, needs immediate attention. Ten is this area is thriving, and I'm super proud of it. The rule is honesty, not where you want to be, not where you used to be, where you actually are right now, today. Once you have your scores, three questions tell you everything. First, which area, if you improved it by just two points, would have the biggest positive ripple effect across all the others? Usually it's not the one you'd expect. Usually it's health. Because of course, energy is the foundation of everything. Without it, everything else suffers, regardless of how talented or disciplined you might be. Without your health, you cannot do anything. Without your health, you can't achieve, you can't improve, you can't do it. It is the foundation. It is number one. Second question What has good enough actually cost you in the areas you've been neglecting? Not in theory, but in real terms, relationships you didn't invest in, fun you postponed, health you deferred, add it up, honestly. Third question. If all eight areas were at an eight or above 90 days from now, what does a typical Tuesday look like? That third question is not a visualization exercise. It's a diagnostic. The gap between your current Tuesday and your future Tuesday tells you exactly what needs to change. Here's where the wheel of life goes from a static snapshot to a dynamic system. Because once you have your scores, you can take them to AI and use this prompt. Here are my Wheel of Life scores across eight areas. I want you to act as my holistic life coach. First, identify the two or three areas where low scores are most likely creating drag across the other areas. Then, for my single lowest leverage area, the one I should address first, give me three micro actions I could take this week that would move my score by at least one point. Be specific, not motivational, actionable. Now, what you're going to get back is a personalized action plan based on your actual life, not generic, listical about balance. And here's what makes this sustainable. If you do this quarterly, not annually, not once and done, every 90 days you retake the assessment, update the scores, and run the same conversation with AI. Your wheel will never be perfectly round. That's not the goal. The goal is that it's rolling consistently in the right direction, with your eyes open. If you go and take the assessment, the interactive assessment right now, click on the link and do that. It will give you your scores, but it it will also give you a very short prompt per area of life that you can also use to optimize and improve your score. Now, one action this week, no exceptions, take the free Wheel of Life assessment. It's free. You've got nothing to lose and so much to gain. The link is in the show notes. It's my assessment. It's built for exactly this framework, and it takes about two minutes. Take it, write down your scores, answer those three questions I gave you. And if you want to go deeper, take your scores to the AI and run that prompt I just shared and all the other little prompts you're going to get as well in the assessment result. It's the entire action that you have to take this week. And if your fund score is below a five, I want you to sit with that number for a minute before you move on, because that number is telling you something important about the life you're building and whether it's actually the life you want. And if today's episode gave you something real, something of value, then share it. Share it with one person who needs to hear it. That's how this show grows. One honest conversation at a time. And that's it for me today. Make sure you come back for another episode of Becoming Limitless. I'm Clove Furlong. Now go up there and make a count.
