Have you ever had a full circle moment? A moment where you realize you've been here before, but now you're at the next level, kind of like going up a spiral staircase. A moment when you see that many experiences of your life converged to bring you to a new beginning. That is Highlight Her for Me. Welcome to the Highlight Her podcast. I'm excited you're here. In this space, we discover, we celebrate, we encourage, we inspire, and we stimulate. I know that sounds like a lot, doesn't it? But in reality, they all come together quite nicely. My name is Jenny. I am the only girl in my apartment. Even the dog is a boy. As you can see, I need some other women in my life. Since before 2010, I've been connecting with and cheering on businesswomen. It has become part of my DNA. I simply love seeing women succeed and I love learning from them. They have so much to teach me. This is a full circle moment of sorts. Way back before 2010, I decided to get brave and reach out to authors about reviewing their books. That was the start of a successful blog, which eventually led to my creating a Facebook group that reached, are you ready? 25,000 special needs moms from around the world. It was crazy and amazing and special all in one. I still sometimes have a hard time believing that. Last year, I was thinking what I could do with my love of cheering on business women. And after much brainstorming, voila, highlight her came to be. I tried a couple of things and they didn't work the way I had hoped. My husband suggested a podcast, and I wasn't a fan of the idea at first. Now I'm very excited because it has given me a new way to do what I love, refer and encourage businesswomen. And I can't wait to see what is coming. Remember how I had to be brave over a decade ago? Now I'm being brave and approaching women I admire to invite them to be a guest on my show. As I said, full circle. Highlighther is here to share stories of tenacious, savvy, and sassy businesswomen. Sometimes it's a lady in my local community. Other days, it's someone halfway across the globe. By sitting down for a chat, I get to hear about their fascinating experiences, the ups and the downs. I get to discover what works and what didn't. I get to share their stories and their wisdom with you, dear listener. I can't wait to see what I, what we are going to learn together. Speaking of together, what can you expect from Highlight Her? Real conversations. Consider yourself sitting in the third chair at our virtual table. This won't be only highlight reels, though. Life is hard. And while these women have a lot to celebrate, they'll also let you peek inside the challenges so you know you're not alone. You'll also find priceless inspiration. When someone inspires you to dream, to create, to take the plunge, well, there aren't words for that, are there? You'll be inspired, and perhaps we'll inspire our guests as well. During each episode, I'll ask my guest what her next step is. You'll be able to follow her journey and give her some encouragement along the way. And finally, you can expect practical action. At the end of each episode, I will ask each guest to share one tip they recommend for you, my listeners. Think of that. One tip each week that you can implement. Imagine all of the wonderful things you can do after a year of tips. You might want to start a notebook to keep track of the tips and ideas that come from listening to highlight her. Speaking of one tip each episode, I'll start you off with a tip today. Here's one thing I've learned through my years as a businesswoman. When you can shift from I'm in competition with her, to there's plenty of room for everyone. You will be a happier, less stressed, and anxious person. And what does that do for your business? You stop giving off desperate vibes. I'm telling you, people can smell desperate and it's not pleasant. I confess I've done that myself. Losing that desperation makes people more likely to want to do business with you. Now that you've gotten a feel for what the Highlight Her podcast will be like, I have an invitation. If hearing fabulastic stories of women building something meaningful sounds like a good way to spend a half hour, if you need a weekly dose of feel good moments and inspiration, if gaining practical tips you can implement in your own journey will make a difference for you, I invite you to follow the Highlight Her podcast now. After all, the next story you hear might inspire your next step.
