surround us, those that define the length, width, and depth of all objects in our universe. 00:04:31.360 --> 00:04:36.160 Beyond these three dimensions, scientists believe that there may be many more. aspects govern the universe, the fundamental forces of nature and all the elementary particles contained within, all created by God. 00:04:55.360 --> 00:04:59.600 Remember what I read in Colossians 1, Basonic string theory suggests 26 dimensions. 00:05:15.600 --> 00:05:24.000 So even science, men and women, is proving that there's an unseen world of thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers. 00:06:31.839 But when you go deeper, you're finding that science, both in the medical realm, physics, and especially quantum physics, supports these dimensions of something happening that we cannot see that has a cause and effect. 00:06:32.639 --> 00:06:45.439 So what I'm introducing you to over these weeks is the worldview of Jesus, the worldview of the Sumerians, the worldview of the Jews. 00:06:45.839 --> 00:06:54.240 And the reason that's important is because the American worldview, our scientific theory worldview is not the same. 00:06:54.879 --> 00:07:13.839 So I'm trying to dial it in as one who's lived in Asia for 10 years, where I was exposed to more of the two-thirds world worldview, and then back to America where I'm back to a scientific worldview, which is great, to the limitations that it has. 00:07:15.040 --> 00:07:32.959 And in my opinion, you're you're at the best place if you have a Western worldview scientifically, but you have an Asian or two-thirds world or is blind, or Jesus comes upon someone who can't hear, or Jesus comes upon someone who's having what we might call an epileptic fit, and he doesn't say, you need to go to the pharmacy and pick up some drugs. 00:07:55.040 --> 00:07:58.160 He doesn't say, Have you seen your pediatrician lately? 00:07:58.800 --> 00:08:05.839 No, Jesus immediately, in his worldview, biblical worldview, all through scripture, was this is demonic. 00:08:06.720 --> 00:08:19.040 There's a spiritual reason behind, again, cause and effect, this person being blind, this person not being able to hear, this person having an epileptic fit. 00:08:19.439 --> 00:08:25.759 So you and I, in a Western worldview, think, what's the drug I need for this? 00:08:26.000 --> 00:08:28.160 Who's the doctor I need to see for this? 00:08:28.480 --> 00:08:37.440 When actually, in many cases, if we believe in a biblical worldview, demons are behind much of your sickness. 00:08:37.679 --> 00:08:41.519 Demons are behind much struggling with with headaches and the stuff you're struggling with with cancer, the stuff you're struggling with, issues related to hearing or related to stomach ailments, let's just go through the first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you, it's the healthiest way to live. 00:10:06.720 --> 00:10:15.360 In other words, the more kingdom you are, quantum physics theory side of things, they also acknowledge there's a spiritual realm that has a cause and effect. 00:11:25.440 --> 00:11:32.080 And so for Jesus, he recognized a demon was causing 00:12:06.480 And I'm hoping that 10 weeks from now, your eyes are a little more opened to the reality of a biblical, Christian, uh, Old Testament, New Testament worldview that will even challenge some of our just science solidly kind of Western, dualistic, scientific, medical worldview. 00:12:06.559 --> 00:12:09.519 So now turn to uh Psalm 82. 00:12:09.679 --> 00:12:17.840 So turn to Psalm 82, and I'm gonna call this series, this message today, the Divine Council Activated Over Nations. 00:12:18.000 --> 00:12:25.919 The Divine Council activated over nations, and I'm gonna have to talk really fast to get through just part one, and we'll do more next week. 00:12:26.240 --> 00:12:30.799 God stands in the divine assembly or congregation of the mighty. 00:12:31.120 --> 00:12:33.679 He judges among the gods, plural. 00:12:34.720 --> 00:12:41.840 In my spirit-filled study by mighty is mighty ones, assembly or the congregation of the mighty ones. 00:12:42.000 --> 00:12:45.360 And if you look up at the PowerPoint, I've put in a little bit of Hebrew. 00:12:45.440 --> 00:12:51.200 So God, Elohim, stands in the assembly or the congregation of the mighty ones. 00:12:51.519 --> 00:12:55.039 He judges among the gods, Elohim again. 00:12:55.360 --> 00:12:58.080 Elohim occurs twice in our verse. 00:12:58.320 --> 00:13:03.600 Other than the covenant name Yahweh, Elohim is the most common word 00:13:17.440 But it's the second use of the word, translated plural, that may surprise some of us. 00:13:17.679 --> 00:13:31.840 The singular God of the universe stands in a congregation of gods or divine beings as part of an assembly, a pantheon of spiritual beings or small G gods. 00:13:32.399 --> 00:13:36.960 Now, this was the way people thought in biblical times. 00:13:37.200 --> 00:13:47.759 You couldn't find any self-respecting Jew, you couldn't find anybody from any of the lands of Babylon or Persia who did not believe that there was a pantheon of gods. 00:13:47.840 --> 00:13:49.360 And you see it all through scripture. 00:13:49.440 --> 00:13:52.559 This is going to open your eyes to a lot of passages in Scripture. 00:13:52.799 --> 00:13:54.559 Now, here's what I Elohim, capital E, in the phonetic spelling of the Hebrew, Elohim, as the one true God over a pantheon of divine beings. 00:14:15.440 --> 00:14:21.919 But what I'm telling you is the way the translators translated it was small g gods. 00:14:22.159 --> 00:14:29.440 Michael Heiser writes, God's divine council is an assembly in the heavens, not on earth. 00:14:29.679 --> 00:14:35.519 This is precisely what we'd expect if we understand the Elohim to be divine beings. 00:14:35.759 --> 00:14:45.360 There's no reference in Scripture to a council of human beings serving Yahweh in the skies, Jews or otherwise. 00:14:45.759 --> 00:14:58.559 So the rest of the passage, if you're gonna come back to, we're gonna, do you guys, if you have those little dividers, those little strings that are on 00:15:00.480 I don't know what you call that. 00:15:00.559 --> 00:15:11.440 But anyway, that little string thing that you have that's usually red, purple, black, whatever, put that in Psalm 82, because we're gonna dance around to a few passages and we're gonna come back to Psalm 82. 00:15:11.919 --> 00:15:18.240 So, one of the most controversial, if not the most controversial passages in all of Scripture is Genesis 6. 00:15:18.480 --> 00:15:20.879 Genesis 6, 1 through 4, don't go there. 00:15:20.960 --> 00:15:22.320 I'm gonna put it up on the screen. 00:15:22.639 --> 00:15:23.679 Um 00:16:04.159 So in Genesis 6, we read, Now it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God, Ben Elohim, saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful, and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. 00:16:04.639 --> 00:16:09.440 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh. 00:16:09.679 --> 00:16:12.960 Yet his day shall be one hundred and twenty years. 00:16:13.200 --> 00:16:24.480 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God, Ben Elohim, came into the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. 00:16:24.879 --> 00:16:30.960 Those were the mighty men who were of old and men of renown. 00:16:31.200 --> 00:16:46.720 So what's interesting about this passage is that it appears that the divine counsel of God, that some of those gods, as it were, these divine beings, mated with the daughters of men and had a progeny of giants in the land. 00:16:46.960 --> 00:17:01.840 And this this leads credence to why when Joshua was taking the promised land, I'll show you in scripture, he chose certain tribes to when God laid the foundations of the earth, the sons of God and the morning stars, which is parallelism in the Hebrew, they both mean the same thing, were shouting for joy. 00:20:42.880 --> 00:20:46.559 They're not humans, because man has not even been created yet. 00:20:47.119 --> 00:20:56.880 It would appear that the unseen invisible world has a hierarchy reflected in such terms as
