he's summing it up with the power of the Holy Spirit in your life in verse 18. 00:05:02.639 --> 00:05:04.000 So look at verse 18. 00:05:04.160 --> 00:05:11.439 In verse 18, we read, do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. 00:05:11.600 --> 00:05:16.959 Now, this this is the, in my opinion, this is the pinnacle of the book of Ephesians. 00:05:17.199 --> Diana, one of the six great wonders of the world, 2,000 years ago in Ephesus, they had these drunken religious parties. 00:06:45.680 --> 00:06:49.199 And he's talking to people who've gotten saved out of that. 00:06:49.519 --> 00:06:49.839 Okay? 00:06:50.480 --> 00:06:53.839 So because of that, they understood about getting drunk. 00:06:53.920 --> 00:06:55.759 And some of you in this room know apart after a while, and they're and they're grasping to hold it together and they do bad things and they hurt people. 00:08:24.160 --> 00:08:26.079 We all have that tendency, right? 00:08:26.240 --> imperative, he's commanding us to be filled with the Holy Spirit because Jesus knows, and Paul understood, and Peter definitely got it, that we cannot live the Christian life without him. 00:11:21.519 --> 00:11:38.720 And so Peter, who disavows any relationship with Jesus as his disciple, to a servant girl at night, some 40 days later gets filled with the Holy Spirit and reaches 3,000 people for important today in understanding the spirit for the life and understanding how much greater he is who's in you than he that is in the world. 00:15:16.240 --> 00:15:20.559 So look at chapter 4, 1 John
