Dad jokes, sports tears, and a truth a lot of parents don’t say out loud: fatherhood can feel like freestyling under pressure. Whit and Twon dedicate this Father’s Day episode to the dads who teach you “you’ll figure it out,” then turn around and admit they’re figuring it out too. We laugh about the little things that make dads dads, like making friends with strangers in any line, needing that quiet “reset” after a long week, and calling a beer “grown up juice” like it’s a sacred adult ritual.

Then it gets real. We talk about the moment parenting stops feeling theoretical and starts feeling heavy, the nonstop responsibility, and the fear every present father carries: leaving this world without giving your kids the tools to survive it. That leads into legacy planning in plain language, from life insurance and avoiding debt to the bigger idea of setting your children up emotionally, physically, and financially. If you care about parenting, co-parenting, and building stability for your family, this part hits.

We also play our signature “Flag On The Play” game with Father’s Day themed red flags and green flags: can a dad “babysit” his own kids, is the 30-minute bathroom break a survival tactic, why dads say “ask your mom” before hearing the question, and what happens when one parent corrects the other in front of the kids. We close with classic dad lines like “cause I said so” and “I ain’t one of your little friends,” and what boundaries look like with modern kids.

If this made you laugh or made you think, subscribe, share it with a parent who needs it, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What’s the most dad phrase you grew up hearing?

Cold Open Dad Jokes

Whitney

Give me that your best dad joke that you got.

SPEAKER_03

Um look at that.

Twonn

Darn it. All right, what do you call a fish with no eyes?

SPEAKER_03

Eyeless fish.

SPEAKER_00

Give me another one, give me another one.

SPEAKER_08

Oh my god, all right, all right, all right. Um she's damn thing is hard.

Whitney

Buy yourself a father's day gift because nobody else will get it right.

SPEAKER_08

You just read my mind. Look at that. Let's go next! You see my father's day gift? Let's go next!

Sports Tears And A Long Wait

SPEAKER_08

New York! Woo! Wow. Let's go, Nick, let's go, Nick, let's go, Nick. I cried like a little baby back bitch.

Whitney

I bet you did. I know I you called me. I saw you on video. She's crying. That's crazy. Yo, you don't understand what this means.

Twonn

Like all the fucking pain of them blowing a lead and them blowing budgets and people come and gone and no ring. We finally got a ring.

Whitney

After 53 years.

Twonn

Everybody, the Mets, the next. I mean, I mean, next is Brooklyn. The day Brooklyn's gonna win, they're gonna start burning buildings now. I mean, I pray Brooklyn never wins. It's not Brooklyn. It's crazy.

Whitney

All right.

Fatherhood Dedication And Father’s Day

Whitney

Hey y'all, welcome back to Flag Us. I'm Wit. I'm Twan. Tuan. Uh today we are dedicating episode 10 to fatherhood. So, with that being said, we would like to celebrate all the fathers out there who taught us responsibility by saying, You'll figure it out. And when we didn't figure it out, it became a personal problem. The same man who taught us how to ride a bike by letting us go. The same man who taught us how to swim by throwing us in the deep end. And the same man who taught us how to deal with pain by what, locking it off. I won't say that they're the real MVPs because it's definitely us moms. But fathers, they matter, and they are needed. Just like the father we have on the show today.

Twonn

You just explain my whole parenting skill, huh? You'll figure it out, huh? That was it.

SPEAKER_01

That's what you do? Yeah. That's what my dad told me. Oh.

Twonn

Nah, I'm lying, I'm lying. Most of the stuff I'm just freestyling. I think a lot of dads. I think a lot of dads, we just freestyle. Like, you just freestyle it.

Whitney

Yeah, well, today, since you always say, you know, nobody cares about Father's Day. Today we're gonna make it about you today.

Twonn

Okay. Is there any deals, any sales? Because I ain't seen no Father's Day sales going on.

Whitney

Well, Father's Day is this weekend. We got Prime Day coming up on the 23rd.

Twonn

Prime Day, right around Father's Day. So you can buy all the household items you need.

Whitney

I saw Best Buy is running some good little deals. It might be for Father's Day. I saw a 70-inch for like $200.

Twonn

Oh, really?

Whitney

Yeah.

Twonn

Was it Visio?

Whitney

That's probably real cool.

Twonn

Oh. Not the same.

Whitney

Is it what you want? An LG? A Samsung.

Twonn

A Sony, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a Father's Day. Yeah. Now how fast they would fucking sell out of them damn uh TVs.

Whitney

Yeah, I definitely would have been. I don't know where we're gonna put a 70-inch, but we definitely find somewhere. Yeah, we'll definitely find somewhere. For sure, for sure. All right, so we're gonna get into the episode. But before we start with our questions, how was your week, Juan?

Twonn

Um, productive, productive. Um, we have a vacation coming up. We love vacations.

Whitney

That's in a few weeks.

Twonn

Yeah, I think we should do a vlog for vacation just to. Ooh, that'll be nice. A little vlog for vacation. Um, but other than that, uh, money moves. Um uh I've been trying to get with different uh creators and um like local, and I'm trying to put something together. I'm in the talks with a few people, but I don't know how serious they are. You know, everybody talks at all. Talks, yeah, for sure. Everybody gives you the uh I call it the party talk. Like, yeah, yo, we gonna hook up, yo, yeah, we're gonna hook up. And then it's like it's quiet, so they give you the party talk.

Whitney

Okay. You got any plans for Father's Day? I know you usually work on Sundays, but nothing on Saturday, just Saturday.

SPEAKER_01

I plan that what you drinking? Everything. Who's gonna buy me a drink? I got you.

Whitney

Okay.

Twonn

One drink. One drink minimum. I think I'll be in Houston, though.

Whitney

Or actually, sorry, maximum, because you know I'm I'm cheap.

Twonn

There you go.

Whitney

I got you though. I'm definitely gonna get you a drink. Um, the Father's Day gift, I don't know, because I mean you're not my father, but Ooh, bars.

Twonn

I'll do you uh That's not what you call me.

Whitney

I don't call you father, I call you daddy. Oh, there's a difference. And in the moment that I call it, I mean it's not, you know, outside in public.

Twonn

I mean, anybody who calls me daddy should give me a father's day gift. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Anybody calls me daddy should give me a father's day gift, but I don't ever call you mommy or mom. You're right. Or any of those sorts of things.

Whitney

I'm sure you had a few women that called you daddy. So are you expecting some gifts coming to our absolutely?

Twonn

Yes, this is crazy. Yeah, I'm on. This is payback from way back. Give me mine.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because they called you daddy way back.

Whitney

But I had the title, so why not, you know, pay up? I think it's kind of like a, you know, when we say it, it's kind of like an ego booster in the moment. It isn't a true, like, oh my daddy. No, it's kind of like, you know, getting you in the mood. Not really.

Twonn

A name is a name. If it's a title, it's a title. It's a name and a title I was given.

Whitney

Oh.

Twonn

But all right, whatever.

Whitney

I was gonna say something, but I think I'm just gonna. You know, let's get into these questions.

Twonn

Yeah, let's do it.

Whitney

So most of these questions are just gonna be really kind of like uh, you're gonna be answering all the questions today. I'm not doing any. I'm not a father, so I won't be answering any of these questions. I might have a little input.

Twonn

Single moms can be um, nah, I can't put that. Nah, I'm not even gonna say that. I hate I hate when women do that, though.

Whitney

Have to be the mom and the dad.

Twonn

Yeah, I hate that. You're not a dad. You're not a dad. Oh, I'm mom and dad. You're not a dad. You cannot never fit those shoes. So please stop with the oh, I'm the mom and the dad. No, you're just the mom.

Whitney

Clearly, you have some strong feelings about that.

Twonn

Nah, because I always see that. I mean, this is this is my almost my 16th Father's Day. So every Father's Day is always you got that one bitter mom.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, my mom and that.

Twonn

Kill yourself. But anyway.

Whitney

Disregard what he said. He doesn't mean it. He doesn't mean it at all. All right. So the first question I have for you today.

Catching Yourself Doing Dad Things

Whitney

Um, hmm. What's the most bad thing you caught yourself doing recently that you used to say your father was OD'd for?

Twonn

Oh my gosh. All right. So what my dad used to do, everywhere we go, he would talk to people. I hated it. Everywhere we go, it's like a dad, like like he he just like he's in a line or whatever, he starts talking and they just start like becoming best of friends. And I find myself doing that. Like when I'm somewhere, and then it's like, oh man, this line is taking too long. Yeah, the line down the block takes too long, too. It's like one of those things where my dad used to just make friends everywhere. And I find myself doing that as a dad. Like, people just want to talk to you. They're not as mean as you would think they are, but man, my dad was like super famous with that. He just everywhere we went, he just started talking to people. I don't know. But people would talk to him.

Whitney

Tuan definitely does that. And me as his girlfriend, I'd be looking at him like he dropped me. And he don't act like he don't see none of the hints, and I'm saying, bring yo on. He just, yeah, you yeah.

Twonn

My dad, I got it from my dad. I definitely got that from my dad.

Whitney

Okay.

Twonn

My dad was famous before, without the fame.

Whitney

Oh, now you see why he he did it like that. I see why, yo.

Twonn

I see why. And and I find myself doing it, and just like, oh man, yo, you brother. I can't wait. Well, my kid does, my kid looked at me like, come on, dad. Let's go.

SPEAKER_00

Like, grab your hand. Yeah, come on, dad. Hold on, baby. This game good.

SPEAKER_05

Hold on.

Whitney

Oh my goodness. Okay. That's funny. All right. Next question. Um, what was the moment you realized being a dad was harder than you thought? Um, jeez.

Twonn

These are some really good questions. All right. Um, it is the responsibility. Um it's like you have to make all the decisions as a dad. Like you can't you can leave it up to mom, but dad kind of really gets the final say so if you really, really think about it.

Whitney

In some households, some not all.

Twonn

Whatever. But um having that responsibility for this child is like it's it gets real. It gets real. Sometimes, like us dads, if you never had your dad, a lot of it's just freestyle. Like you're freestyling a lot of things. You like, you know, throwing shit against the wall, open it's thick. So it's like um the responsibility part, and it's like it's non-stop. It's non-stop. You don't get a break as moms say, Oh, I don't ever get a break. Neither does dad. Because I gotta worry about the kid and you, and I gotta protect this whole shindig. Because if the ships, if the ship sinks, who you think they're gonna look at it? If the d if you're present, if you're present. Let me let me if you're present. If the ship goes down, who they gonna look at? Dad, like damn, what the fuck he doing over there? Fix it. Fix it. He I don't know, man. He he ain't writing ahead. So responsibility, constantly.

Whitney

Yeah, there's uh definitely no manual on how to raise a a child. It's literally like test and trial. Like literally, you gotta figure stuff out, you know, on the way. I mean, us moms do it too, you know.

Twonn

But he's saying about y'all.

Whitney

You right?

Twonn

Let's go.

Whitney

All right, next.

Twonn

Moms always trying to take, yeah, they always try to take the spotlight.

Whitney

I'm just saying, like we was giving when we when we just handed that baby, they handed us a book on what to do. We learn it just like y'all learning. I'm just saying. But whatever. Like you said, it's about you today. Okay. Uh, what's one thing you swore you'll never do as a father that now you see yourself doing all the time?

Twonn

Hmm. See myself doing all the time. Hmm. I'll have a beer. I'll have a beer way often than I would have if I wasn't a dad. Like after you come home and you just want to chill or whatever, it's that one beer that you open up and sit on the couch and you, you know, you undo your pants and you take that first.

Whitney

Also, growing up when you saw your dad doing that, you would like I would never.

Twonn

Yeah, I would never. Yo, I see why. Yo, that that when you come in the house, but don't forget to unbuckle your belt. Unbuckle your belt and you take that first, you won't even finish the beer. It's just it's just that first sip. And it's like, I only drink after I've completed like a whole week of work. Work. Yeah. And that's the only time, and it's just feels so relaxing. It feels so good. I just see my dad be like, What are you doing?

Whitney

Not what are you doing?

Twonn

What are you doing? So now I now now I understand. I understand it. I understand it.

Whitney

Yeah, sometimes you need that time to kind of like wind down after a long time.

Twonn

It's a very small victory. It's a very small victory that um us dads, it's it's sentimental. It's very sentimental that that that beer after the whole week. If you're drinking all week, you're a different, you a different breed.

Whitney

We a different breed.

Twonn

You a different breed. You just a different breed.

Whitney

Okay, so I'm pretty sure your kids are looking at you when you're doing that.

Twonn

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Every time I'll be like, hey, hey, baby, go get daddy a grown up, a grown-up juice. We call it grown-up juice. If my kids were really small, hey dad, go give me a grown. Hey, bring wobble a little ass over here with the bottle. I'll pop it open.

Whitney

My granddad used to call it soda water.

Twonn

Soda water? Oh, wow. Did you ever take a drink of this soda water? No. Okay, okay, because that water, I like grown-up juice because it's only for grown-up. But water?

Whitney

Oh, it's soda water. Go and give me a soda water. That's what he said. I remember he tried to sit us to the store one time and tell us to give him a soda water. I was looking like that's crazy.

Twonn

Nah, nah, nah, nah. My mom used to do that. Yo, I used to be like, Tank, go to the store, give me some cigarettes.

Whitney

I I get it when my granddad would say he already threw back a few and he out. And he just like, yeah, go down there and give me some soda water. Like, what?

Twonn

Nah, my mom used to be like, give me some cigarettes. And they used to sell it to me, too. My mom, yeah, I'm coming to get some cigarettes from my mom. They have to slide it on. They know my mom, they used to slide it on and take the money, and I used to walk down with a plastic, a little, little brown paper bag full of cigarettes. That's crazy.

unknown

Yeah.

Whitney

All right. Next question. I would say, what is your biggest fear as a father?

Fear, Legacy, And Setting Kids Up

Twonn

Oh, um, my biggest fear. Uh leaving this world without giving my kids the lessons they need to survive this world. And leaving them like nothing. Like leaving them nothing. I hear about parents who passed away and then the kids gotta figure it out and stuff like that. Yeah, I feel like as a dad, your whole journey here is to prepare your kids for your death. You have to prepare your kids for your death. Set them up. Yeah, you have to set them up. It is emotionally, physical, financially. It's your job to set them up. So from 18 to however long, it's that's your job. You might not have a day-to-day with them. You know, they might move out the house, but still, it is your job to set those children up. Or grandkids or whoever the Yeah, definitely.

Whitney

I I feel I feel the same way too, even though I'm not a father. But yeah. Yeah. Definitely want to make sure you set your kids up because I know there's times where, you know, parents do pass away and they're in debt. That stuff trickles down to family members.

Twonn

It isn't all like And that's and it's it's a real serious thing. Like, I wish a lot, I know um when my dad died, like he didn't, we had to scrape up money. And my dad died when I was like uh like younger, younger, real young. So it's like I seen family trying to scrape up money and trying to do this. If he would have had uh life insurance and you know other things in play, this would have been a cakewalk. Yeah, I would have been caked up. Let me put it like that. I'd have been caked up. At least drop a hundred grand. Like when my kids die, I'm I'm at least trying to give them 150 each. Each. That is my goal. 150 each, a few properties, some maybe this podcast. If y'all keep running these numbers up, please, yes. But uh yeah, just legacy. Like at you. Yeah, yeah. On the outside, on the inside, I'm growing up. On the outside, not so much. Not so much, huh? Yeah.

Whitney

Ooh.

If Your Kids Reviewed You

Whitney

Next question. Okay, this is a good one. So, like, if your kids could leave a Yelp review as a dad, what would their complaints be?

Twonn

Ugh, all right.

Whitney

You know, people utilize Yelp a lot, so Yeah.

Twonn

Uh my daughter would leave a review about um mostly about money. Mostly about money. That's it, be her whole complaint, like, oh, I need money, I need money. Every time I turn around, it's like daughters are way different than sons. Uh, apparently, all you fathers know daughters are way different than sons. My son would be more of a calm, like his yoke would be like, he's alright. My daughter would be extensive.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, he don't do this and he don't do that, and and and when I need crab legs, uh, I should get it right with him.

Twonn

Little girl. Not the crab legs. I call I call her my little terrorist, and I'm the United States. And I say the United States does not negotiate with terrorism.

Whitney

Oh wow. Okay, we're gonna pause on the questions for a

Flag On The Play Dad Habits

Whitney

little bit. Of course, we have to do our signature game. Flag on the play. Flag on the play. All right. We actually have quite a bit of uh questions today on Flag on the Play.

Twonn

Oh, this is all like Father's Father Days, Father Bay's. Of course, of course.

Whitney

We like I said, we're making it about you today, baby. We out here celebrating the fathers. So shout out to all the fathers out there. Father's Day is coming up. I hope you get what you deserve.

Twonn

Hey, watch this episode with a beer in your hand, please, for me. Pour up a drink for your boy. Yeah. Not pour up a drink. Pour up a drink for your boy. Crazy. Brotherhood is something. It is definitely something. It's brilliant. If you if you're doing it right, it's enjoyable. You just broke. Right.

Whitney

Broke, but your kids. Yeah, broke but happy. Yeah. Well came care. All right. So this is just gonna be more of like a you're gonna throw up a red flag or a green flag, and you know, we'll go from there. Sounds good?

SPEAKER_07

Sounds good.

Twonn

Let's go.

Whitney

All right.

Twonn

So I don't like when you start laughing before questions. That makes me nervous. That makes me so nervous.

Whitney

This question is crazy. So dad's saying he's babysitting his own kids. You can babysit your own kids. No, you absolutely cannot. How are you babysitting your own kids? Like, who's if you're not gonna be watch them, who who will? A babysitter. You're not a babysitter. I am a babysitter. You're not a babysitter.

Twonn

I'm a live-in babysitter. I'm a live-in babysitter. Yeah, you can still you can still babysit your own kid. You cannot babysit your own kid. Mom is usually watching them. If she steps out, what am I doing? I'm babysitting. You're not babysitting. Anytime the mom meeting. You're taking over the watching of the children. That's crazy. Anytime the mom leaves and I'm in charge, it's called babysitting. It's not babysitting. Y'all hear this fool? It's called babysitting.

Whitney

Y'all hear this fool?

Twonn

Babysitting. I could babysit my own kids.

Whitney

No, you can't. Well, you could babysit them, but it's not called babysitting. It's called watching your children. They're your responsibility, right? Tomato tomato. No, it's not no tomato tomato. We already getting off to a bad start. Okay. Taking a 30-minute bathroom break for peace and quiet. Oh, oh, man.

Twonn

This is all green flags. Yeah, yeah. Keep them coming. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I need a break. Really? I need a break. I'll run to the I'll run to the bathroom. Hey, I got to shit, shower, and shave real quick.

Whitney

How often do you do it?

Twonn

It'd be a few times a day.

Whitney

A day?

Twonn

A few times a day.

Whitney

Look at him running from his responsibilities. Running away from his responsibilities. A few times. I can understand, you know, every now and again. But a few times a day is crazy.

Twonn

If you don't have your own man cave, if like like before I had my my personal space or whatever. Before I had my office, I would go to the bathroom and just be in there on my phone, legs crossed, got the toilet seat down, and I'm just listening, listening out.

Whitney

Yeah, but I'll be playing that toilet seat. Oh my God. And that's why kids be breaking stuff in the house because they're unsupervised. That's a thing.

Twonn

Because you need quiet. When things get quiet, that's when you start looking around. Hey, which y'all doing in there? Hey, when they are making noise and having fun, I can hear it. But when they start being quiet, that's when I get out the bathroom. Hey, hey, hey, what's what's going on?

Whitney

Yeah, because they tearing some stuff up. Okay. Calling mom every 10 minutes when she's out because you can't find anything.

Twonn

Another one. Huh? Oh, I like this game. I like this game. Yeah, I like this game. Um, why why I I need help.

Whitney

I need, yeah. Why don't you just try looking around a little bit? Because every time you need help, the mom's coming there and finding in 2.2 seconds, and it's right there.

Twonn

Listen, as you get older, your compass changes. North becomes south, south becomes east, east becomes west. Crazy. I don't know where anything is at. So, hey Siri, call with. Oh.

SPEAKER_06

Calling with.

Twonn

Oh.

SPEAKER_03

Hello?

Whitney

Okay. Oh my God. Claiming you help with the kids instead of saying you're parenting your children.

Twonn

Yeah, I like this one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I help out with the kids. I mean, you can call it parenting, yeah. But I like the I like the words, I'm helping out with the kids. I like that better. That's great.

Whitney

Why are you acting like you're an outsider coming in to assist?

Twonn

It's just a word. In your home. In your own home.

Whitney

It's just a play on words. Oh my God. Just he's just red flags all the way around. Keeping emergency snacks hidden from your kids. I'm gonna say that's a green flag. That's definitely a green flag. That's definitely a green flag. Yeah, you gotta because every time I fill up the snack cabinet, and every time I feel like I want a snack, there's never a snack in there.

Twonn

Yeah, yeah, green flag. I usually hide some. I heard I hide a bunch of snacks. A bunch of snacks. I got them hidden everywhere. I got some on top of the cabinet. I got them hidden behind the dishes. Yeah, I got snacks everywhere. Crazy.

Whitney

Um, telling your kids, ask your mom before they finish their question. That's a red flag. Y'all just don't want to deal with nothing.

Twonn

It's just the first three words. Hey dad, do you know? Uh ask your mom.

Whitney

I don't know what you don't want to deal with.

Twonn

I don't know where the shit is at. I don't know where nothing is at. I don't know where the shit is at.

SPEAKER_01

Let them finish the let them finish the question.

Twonn

I know where this is headed. I know. This is experience. This is experience. Hey dad, can you help? No, ask your mom. Hey dad, do you know?

Whitney

Ask your mom. And that's why every time they come, dad told me to ask you. And that's how the sentence dad told me to come in here and ask you where the crazy. Crazy work. Y'all are crazy. That's how it works. Mm-mm. Mom correcting everything dad does with the kids. Oh, you got a red flag in there. Yeah, yeah.

Twonn

I didn't think your red flag works. Yeah, yeah. I had to pull this one out.

SPEAKER_07

Go, why are you undermining me? Like, why are you undermining me?

Whitney

Why are you sending the kids to us when you don't want to deal with it?

SPEAKER_07

Why are you undermining me?

Whitney

Why are you sending the kids to us?

Twonn

That's the riffle effect. Because now me and you, now I want smoke. I want smoke.

Whitney

Well, if you're doing something incorrectly, it's best to tell you in the channel.

Twonn

And it's the reason why I say, yo, go ask your mom. Go ask your mom. For situations like that, right there, undermining my what you call, undoing what I've already done. Why? You see, you just you see? It depends the situation. No, no, no. Now it's situation based. No, it's the reason. This is the reason why mom has to do everything. Because I'll be damned if I handle a situation or I handle a problem, and then you come behind me and did something else.

Whitney

Maybe you should do it correctly the first time. I'm just saying. Next question. Letting dads, letting dads dress the baby without supervision.

Twonn

Okay, we back to it. We back on we back on track. Yeah. Yo, my girls look like boys for like the first two, three years. I promise you. It was just J's, jeans, and t-shirts.

Whitney

That's a red flag. Anytime I left my kids with their dad, I would set out an outfit of what it needed to be. Oh, really? And I did their hair before I left. I had to learn that. What the heck? Kid be suited and booted, and then ponytails be cocked to the side looking crazy.

Twonn

Yo, you know what? You know the ponytail thing that I should have recorded this because I could have I could have copyrighted this. When you get your daughter, and then you grab a ponytail and you would chicku and you have her spin and just hold the ponytail.

Whitney

She'd be dizzy by the end of the day.

Twonn

Yeah, but but that ponytail be all straight and intact. Yo.

Whitney

She's mad, need to be combed out, all twisted. You sound crazy. Next question. Saying I turned out fine to defend your parenting styles.

SPEAKER_05

Because I came out fine. Look at me. You think you're fine? Yeah. I came out fine, yeah.

Whitney

I mean you're cute and all, but that's not the fine we talk about. Came out fine. You're talking about, you know, mentally stable, you know.

SPEAKER_01

All of that. I am all of the above. Yeah, all of the above. All your screws are screwed in. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I found all my marbles. All of them?

Twonn

All of them.

SPEAKER_01

I think some of the time for sure.

Twonn

They're a little chipped here, but I found all my marbles. Yeah, yeah. They'll be fine. They will be fine. Next question. Ooh.

Whitney

This this definitely sounds like you. Buy yourself a Father's Day gift because nobody else will get it right.

SPEAKER_08

You just read my mind. Look at that. Let's go next. You see my Father's Day gift? Let's go next. Let's go next. Let's go next. Let's go next.

Whitney

Why you just can't be appreciative of what's giving me to five?

SPEAKER_08

Oh my God.

Whitney

Why you just can't be appreciative of what's given to you? It's not about the gift.

Twonn

This is about I'm very appreciative. Like, like I'm just now starting to get gifts. So the gifts are getting better. Like I said, we used to get macaroni ties. Women, I get flowers and rolls. I used to get macaroni ties and you know, and and underwear and socks and stuff like that. Like my gifts are starting to get better. A little better? Yes, they're starting to get a little better. So I ease off the buying myself a gift. I'll wait till Monday. It won't be the the Father's Day. It won't be Father's Day Sunday, but that Monday I'll see what I'm missing.

SPEAKER_00

Like, oh, okay, I'll come back. Let me go ahead and give myself.

Twonn

Yeah, let me give myself a little something. But I'll wait until Father's Day is over. And then I'll see what I racked up. And then I'm like, oh, you know, I might want to trade something. But not trade. The Father's Day gifts are definitely starting to get better. As you it gets it gets better with time. It gets better in time. Soon. I'm reaching for that Louis bag. Oh that, oh yeah, you are. Oh yeah, you definitely would have done that. Get your dad some Travis Scott's or something. You know what I'm saying?

Whitney

Something. You won't be called Daddy over here. It's gonna be Antoine, Juan, Mr. One Free, whatever comes to mind, but it won't be daddy if you want to. Whatever. You know what? Yeah.

unknown

Mm-hmm.

Legendary Dad Lines And Boundaries

Whitney

Alright, so we're gonna get back into the questions. We probably got about, you know, maybe like four or five more questions.

Twonn

You have four. Yeah, yeah. Let's go. This seemed like this is this is uh dad's on the chopping block. Dad's not on the chopping block.

Whitney

You just want to see your parenting skills and how you raise your young cubs. You know.

Twonn

Anywho, uh, do you think your kids sorry to see it because I don't like when you laugh or fucking shit.

Whitney

Do you think your I'm gonna say children? Do you think your children will sell you out for $20?

Twonn

Oh, absolutely.

Whitney

I think they'll do it for Icy. Yep.

Twonn

Nah, it has to be some money involved.

Whitney

Absolutely not. That little one, I can that little one, the little one, yes. She will sell you down the river for some candy. But it gotta be for some money because I see cereal, cereal. She loves cereal.

Twonn

It has to be for some money for my other ones because it's like, all right, I can get this money from him anyway. Because if I sell them out cheap, I'm not gonna get the money. Yeah, yeah. So it's like a they got dad's brain, dad's calculation brain. But they'll definitely sell me out for some money. It might not be $5, $10, but it'll be for some cash.

SPEAKER_05

It'll definitely be for some cash.

Whitney

Okay. Uh, what's something your dad used to say all the time that you catch yourself saying now?

Twonn

Uh it's either you'll be fine or you'll figure it out. You'll figure it out. I think it's more you'll figure it out. You'll figure it out. Yeah, that's kind of the answer, the like the standard answer for all dads. You'll figure it out. I mean, it works. It works.

SPEAKER_01

I mean because they don't really have a choice but to figure it out.

Whitney

We're coming to you for helping it. You'll figure it out.

Twonn

Yeah, yeah, because you can't, you know, honestly, as a dad, you can't force your opinion and like what you what you say on children. Because if I'll be damned if I tell you, oh yeah, I'll give you like a a whole A through Z map, and then you just do what you want to do. And most of the time that's exactly what happens with children. You tell them, oh yeah, you should do this, you do that. They don't listen to you. They want to, they're gonna do what they want to do. So you yo, you'll figure it out. Use your best judgment.

Whitney

But at least if you're giving them a solution, whether they want to take it or not, at least you're trying to, you know. Yeah, that's what I said.

SPEAKER_01

You'll figure it out.

Whitney

Oh wow. Okay. Next question. Uh, should moms let dad figure things out without giving a step-by-step instruction? I guess everybody out here just figuring stuff out.

Twonn

Yeah, yeah, moms too. Um I wouldn't say, no, I don't think they should. I think they should just let just dad figure it out. Just let it, yeah, just let it. Because you're gonna go behind him and fix whatever, whatever anyway, right?

Whitney

Well, I mean, because we say, like, if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself. But if I give you a step-by-step guide to be able to do it the way that I would do it, then I mean what's the what's the harm? You that means you won't have to call me every 10 minutes.

Twonn

I'm still gonna call you. Oh no. What's this you talk about? Uh uh put the eggs in the refrigerator. What eggs going in the refrigerator? We about to make these eggs. Yeah, it'd be stuff like that.

Whitney

You be having one job and can't even complete it. That's crazy. All right. All right, next question. Every dad has at least one legendary phrase that instantly ends the conversation. What is that phrase?

Twonn

Cause I said so. Cause I said so. Independs, it has different levels, because I said so. Cause I said so.

Whitney

Cause I said so. That's definitely a conversation. So when you getting into it, cause I said so.

Twonn

Cause I said so. That ends it. That ends that ends the conversation. That ends everything. Don't say nothing after that. Don't what I said, don't say nothing after that because I said so.

Whitney

Okay. Last question we have. Are you ready? Let's go. The freeze. I ain't one of your little friends. Does that still work with these children in 2026? I ain't one of your little friends.

Twonn

I think it still works. Until a certain point. Sometimes you gotta set rules and boundaries. I believe that saying of uh I ain't one of your little friends to let you know like I ain't to be played with. Don't play with me. Don't play with me. But then you can't go around and, you know, request your kids on Instagram, Facebook. Because then they be like, you ain't one of your little friends. You ain't one of my little friends, yeah. Oh my god. I'm a big friend. Don't, don't, yeah, let's not.

Whitney

Or when they say it under your breath, I'll be like, look, stop playing with me, because I'm not one of your little friends. Did nobody say you were my friend. And I might say you were my friend. And then you be ready to throat punch them. Yeah. But then be like, oh, so you ain't gonna accept my follow-up? But remember, I I ain't one of your little friends. Okay, bet.

Twonn

I think you can still get that off. It depends on on how old your child is because them smart remarks will get them.

Whitney

Yeah, but also get you some jail time because you're not allowed to hit your kids. Oh. In this day and age. Who said that? You go straight to jail. Oh, do not pass go. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. And sometimes I need it. Maybe it's worth it. 72 hours. I had a little vacation because who's gonna feed you? Oh and if I ain't home and the bills don't get paid, you're gonna be in the dark. And you ain't got and don't you touch my candles. Don't you touch my bath and body work?

Twonn

Oh my gosh, don't you touch my candles.

Whitney

But yeah. Alright. I mean, that's

Father’s Day Message And Wrap Up

Whitney

all the questions I have for you, Dad.

Twonn

Let's get it right.

Whitney

Dad.

Twonn

No, no, the other. Uh-uh, don't call me.

Whitney

So shout out to the father of the podcast. You've been doing an amazing job. You are an amazing father.

Twonn

One time, one time for the one time. But anyway, happy Father's Day, guys. Um the journey is gonna the journey is long. It is, it will never stop as long as uh that responsibility is breathing and is in need and in need of money. So keep providing, keep thriving, keep loving. And happy Father's Day, guys.

Whitney

Happy Father's Day.

Twonn

And this was the Flaggers Podcast. Oh my god, all right, all right, all right. Um Jeez. Damn, this joke thing is hard. Um why did the chicken cross the road? Okay, you heard this one before.
