Welcome, welcome, welcome to another episode of It's a Kids World Podcast. Um, finally, we've been going through some technical difficulties, but I think everything is good now. It's Wednesday, October 29th, the day before Fall Festival. You ready for Fall Festival again?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Why?
SPEAKER_01Cause um me and all my friends get to do like all the Halloween stuff, trick-or-treating, trunk or treating, uh, and the Halloween party. Dance party.
SPEAKER_00You go trick-or-treating? Do your mama take you trick-or-treating?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Alright, so what what are what is like the what's the game plan for y'all trick-or-treating? Do y'all go to like relatives, people in your neighborhood?
SPEAKER_01Like So it's this certain neighborhood we go to every single year. Cause it's it's it's like a bunch of good people that good houses. It's this one lady. Every single year she gives out full-size bars.
SPEAKER_00Y'all using that lady for her snacks. I don't blame you. So what happens this year if she don't have those full-size candy bars? Hey, the world's in a recession, so.
SPEAKER_01There's other people, so I'm gonna have a lot of candy.
SPEAKER_00Top three candy bars, go.
SPEAKER_01Huh?
SPEAKER_00Top three candy bars. What's your top three candy bars? Let's go.
SPEAKER_01Like my three first favorite?
SPEAKER_00Yes, camera. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Snickers.
SPEAKER_00Trash.
SPEAKER_01How dare you? Uh uh. Three musketeers.
SPEAKER_00Musketeers? Yes. Trash. Alright. But hey, these are yours. Go ahead. And one more. Give me one more.
SPEAKER_01Uh I forgot what it's called. Uh Milky Way.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay. I I put Milky Way in my top three too. So for me, I'ma go. And this this is not in no particular order. Milky Way. Um. Twix. And what? Twix? You crazy. And Hershey's Cookies and Cream.
SPEAKER_01I like Hershey's, but Cookies and Cream?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the Hershey's Cookies and Cream.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, those, yeah, those are my top three. So you know what? What I've been thinking about this year, I'm thinking I'm gonna do that too. I think I'm gonna have like candy and sit outside and pass out candy.
SPEAKER_01One year we had a candy bowl outside. No, I think we were planning to after we trick-or-treat for a little bit, we were gonna come uh pass out candy, and then nobody came.
SPEAKER_00So y'all don't do it anymore, but y'all go and get other people candy?
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Alright.
SPEAKER_01I think it was last year that we did that.
SPEAKER_00What are you gonna be for Halloween?
SPEAKER_01A witch. What you be for Halloween?
SPEAKER_00I can't tell you because I don't trust you to keep it a secret until tomorrow because, you know, the fall festival, so I don't trust you. So I'm not telling you. I'm not telling you. I can't. Because you're gonna tell somebody. I'm not.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm not. I already got one secret.
SPEAKER_00What's the secret?
SPEAKER_01I can't tell you.
SPEAKER_00I like that. That was good. That was good.
SPEAKER_01So can you tell?
SPEAKER_00No, I'm still not gonna tell you. But just know, it's gonna be. You know what? I think you will appreciate it though.
SPEAKER_01You're gonna be the kid on It's a Kids World shirt.
SPEAKER_00I'm not gonna be the kid on the It's Kids, the logo for the It's a Kids World. No, but it's um it's gonna be a nice costume. I'm just nervous about it.
SPEAKER_01You're gonna be a hawk.
SPEAKER_00Anyway. Um So are you gonna be the witch from that movie?
SPEAKER_01Wicked?
SPEAKER_00From Wicked?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay, okay. Because I heard somebody else said that it was gonna be there, so I was just wondering if that's the route you were taking. So what kind of uh what kind of witch you gonna be? You got like, you gonna wear like the whole little wig and all that kind of stuff?
SPEAKER_01Uh my TT bought me a wig. I don't know if it's if it's delivered yet or not.
SPEAKER_00You better hope it be delivered by tomorrow. You need to check on that when you get home. What, Amazon? Mm-hmm. You don't even know. You ain't got no say in your in your costume. They picked it out for you.
SPEAKER_01No, I picked my costume.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. I just wondered. We need to keep up with the delivery then. You need to keep up with the delivery. But anyway, so um, yeah, everyone, today is uh once again October the 29th. Tomorrow we have our fall festival, so we have a trunk or treat.
SPEAKER_01Halloween dance party.
SPEAKER_00We have the Halloween dance party, and then we have um like the games, like the little relay games, you know, tug award and all that good stuff. So it should be fun. The weather here has been kind of lame and droopy outside, but hopefully it picks up and tomorrow. I'm gonna pray that it don't rain. Because I want to see the kids have fun. But if it does rain, we already got a plan B.
SPEAKER_01So I'ma have fun. I like the rain.
SPEAKER_00But we're not we're not gonna have the trunk or treat outside if it rains.
SPEAKER_01They're gonna put cars inside the school?
SPEAKER_00No, they're not gonna put no grid in no parts, I know school. They're gonna put up, they're gonna put them on the other side of the building or whatever, so we'll still be good. So I got a question. So, you know how sometimes when your teacher's not here and y'all have substitute teachers? Tell me how you really feel about substitute teachers. One to ten. Ten being substitute teachers are great, and one being their trash. So from one to ten. Five in the middle mean they are, but they ain't that good.
SPEAKER_01Uh I'm not trying to like wait. What I'm about to say, I'm not trying to do it like funny. I'm not, I'm not trying to do it like funny, but six or seven.
SPEAKER_00Six or seven? Yeah. So that means it being on the on the the better side. Okay. Oh, I realize what you're saying. That six said, I'm so tired of hearing it. I'm so tired of hearing it. I hear it in my sleep. I promise you I do. I get so tired of hearing it. But like, okay, so why, so why do you give them that? Because that's pretty good. I thought you was gonna say, let the substitute teachers be bad. Be trash. Yeah, be trash. Because I because it's like when it be a substitute teacher, it's always stuff going on. So how is it in the classroom when y'all have substitutes?
SPEAKER_01It's a little crazy, but I just it's better that way to me.
SPEAKER_00What's better?
SPEAKER_01Because I'm crazy, so it matches perfect.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00I was just wondering how it goes because I oftentimes see like we always gotta have talks with classes when we have substitutes because y'all like y'all lose y'all's mind when your teacher's not here.
SPEAKER_01Uh you're gonna make me lose my mind.
SPEAKER_00Too much. What you doing on your day off? Friday. You got no school on Halloween. Are you actually going to retreat on Halloween?
SPEAKER_01Yes. So, me, my mama is off two that day. So I'ma, she's gonna be in the living room. I'ma be in my room, and we're gonna be watching Halloween movies.
SPEAKER_00Favorite Halloween movie? Scream. Oh, you already had that ready on. Scream? Yes. What you know about Scream? Which one?
SPEAKER_01The first one.

SPEAKER_01I never seen that.
SPEAKER_00You never seen Halloween before?
SPEAKER_01Michael Myers.
SPEAKER_00It's no, I'm saying the name of the movie is Halloween. And like the like the person in the movie that does all of the unlive unaliving. It's Michael Myers. If you watch Scream, which is a a bit much, that's that's pretty graphic. Your mama let you or your aunt TV. We watched it.
SPEAKER_01Me and my mama watched it together.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you had no nightmares or nothing after that?
SPEAKER_01Mm-mm. I mean, I had this one dream a little bit after it.
SPEAKER_00Like sound like a nightmare.
SPEAKER_01So I I used to like love, love Ariana Grande. So it was a bit twist screen. Ariana Grande. So Ariana Grande was scream, and then she tried to kill me.
SPEAKER_00She tried to unalive you? Yes. Alright, just use the word unalive. I don't know if that's the correct word. I just heard people say it on YouTube. So I'm getting let's just say unalive.
SPEAKER_01What about oof?
SPEAKER_00Okay, oof.
SPEAKER_01Oof.
SPEAKER_00Oof. Alright. So you had a dream that Ariel Grande.
SPEAKER_01Oofed me.
SPEAKER_00She oofed you. Is that the one that played in Wicked? But she's a good witch in there, right?
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
unknownMm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Okay. You ready for Wicked 2? Hey, I'm ready too. Hey, I seen part one, so I was in there. I was like, man, why am I watching this? Probably about an hour later, I was like, this movie pretty good. So yes, most definitely going to see Wicked 2. You like musicals?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's too much singing for me, but I but I deal with it. It's crazy. That movie came out a year ago.
SPEAKER_01My me and my cousin, when he spent the night at my house, at me and my mama's house, we watched The Greatest Showman. I fell asleep. He watched the whole thing.
SPEAKER_00The Greatest Showman?
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00I heard of that. What's that about again?
SPEAKER_01It's about this uh Alexander Hamilton. It's about him and like just like what happened. You will have to ask Miss Luke. She brought it to us.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01It's one of the songs we did and one of our performances.
SPEAKER_00Okay. No, I'm going to check. I'm going to check it out. For one of the years that we've no, I mean I heard of it. I just haven't seen it before, so I didn't know what that was, but no, I'ma I'ma go back and look at it. But yeah, I'm excited for Wicked 2. Any any other movies? I know you're a movie person. I know uh you always go to the movies and stuff. Any other movies you uh seen lately or you want to see that's coming up?

SPEAKER_00Okay. Is that a kid movies?
SPEAKER_01I think I guess so.
SPEAKER_00You don't know.
SPEAKER_01It's about these monsters. Uh this person that created them, Stitch Stitchhead, uh, he's like the monsters. They I don't really under know how to explain it. You losing your mind.
SPEAKER_00You gotta do all it. It's okay if you don't remember start screaming. But well yeah, let me know about that movie. SPEAKER_01They kept after they Don't you tell this, don't you tell the movie? I'm not. After my my mom, uh, my mama and my T T go to the movies, or and I'm like with them, or we all go to the movies, they talk about the movie after, so okay, gotcha.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I wanna w I wanna see that. And then like the last conjuring movie.
SPEAKER_01I know what you're talking about. They went to go see that too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. So but those two movies are already out. I I don't know, I think the conjuring maybe still still in theaters, but I know weapons came out over the summer. So, so yeah, so that's my plan or whatever. But um, anything you want to leave the people with before we uh close out? Anything you want to say?
SPEAKER_01Nah.

SPEAKER_01That's my name.
SPEAKER_00Where did that come from though?
SPEAKER_01Oh, so uh Matthew was uh doing this thing. He was asking everybody what's their name, because he was like, I don't know you, what's your name? And I said, I was looking around and I was and at the uh at the where the light is, it's this thing. It's it's a crayon, and uh, and I said crayon, so yeah, that's how I got there.
