SPEAKER_00

Welcome to another episode of It's a Kids World Podcast. It is Wednesday, October the 1st. It's a brand new month. And with the brand new month of October brings um a lot of different events and stuff. So um this school year is is we're not in the middle of the school year yet, but it's not the beginning. So how do you feel so far about the school year? Like, what's your honest opinion?

SPEAKER_01

It's okay and it's bad.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Tell me what you mean by it. First, let's start with the okay part. Why is it okay?

SPEAKER_01

It's just that it'd be kind of like a lot of interruptions and it'd be a lot of people standing up so we can't see the board.

SPEAKER_00

So you're talking about like classroom stuff?

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

Oh. So wait, that'll be bad though, right? So what's I mean, so what's good? What's good that's going on with the school year so far? Is it anything good?

SPEAKER_01

When we did the uh pig heart dissection, I forgot what that was.

SPEAKER_00

Dissection in science.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. That's it. That's the only thing that's the only part of your school year been good so far?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, that would be like kind of like the best part.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I do clarinet and music.

SPEAKER_00

How's that going?

SPEAKER_01

Good.

SPEAKER_00

Nice. Tell me about the clarinet. I want to know about the clarinet. You just sitting up here looking at me.

SPEAKER_01

I wanted to play the clarinet so I can be like Squidward.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, what?

SPEAKER_01

Squidward plays away.

SPEAKER_00

I heard what you said. Because of Squidward? You watch SpongeBob? Still? Man, turn it off.

SPEAKER_01

Problem.

SPEAKER_00

Turn it off, man.

SPEAKER_01

Problem? We are two different people.

SPEAKER_00

Obviously, SpongeBob came out probably before I was younger. I don't know. But don't watch Spongebob.

SPEAKER_01

I can't buy TV.

SPEAKER_00

There's not uh rotting your brain. You know something that's interesting? You heard this uh brain rot?

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm. I be playing it.

SPEAKER_00

Why like so my so I had my niece over my house like two weeks ago, and I told her like she could play what she wanted to play on YouTube, and she turned it on. That stuff is it's it's weird. It's just very strange. Why do why do kids like watch that stuff?

SPEAKER_01

I don't watch the m the like music stuff they be doing. I don't like those. But I it on Roblox, it's this game called Skills or Brain Rod. It's just like it's just like a bunch of different like brain rod like stuff mixed together. And then you gotta, if you have enough money, you can get it and put it in your base. And then you need to keep upgrading your base so you can have enough stuff.

SPEAKER_00

So so is it so it's different, is it a difference between like the Roblox and like the YouTube stuff, or it's kind of the same? Like, uh is it a difference? It's a difference. Yeah, she was watching that YouTube stuff, and I do not like it. It's it's weird, it's strange, but like kids like it, and I know even she was singing along with it. And I don't know, but yeah, I don't I didn't know.

SPEAKER_01

I remember when Skibbity Toilet was like a big thing.

SPEAKER_00

Skibbity toilet?

SPEAKER_01

It's like this man in the toilet, and he keeps doing his head, his neck crazy.

SPEAKER_00

See what I'm saying? Weird stuff. Y'all can't I noticed that like kids, like y'all watch anything on YouTube. Y'all watch anything on YouTube.

SPEAKER_01

Anything that looks like cool on the picture will watch.

SPEAKER_00

That thumbnail. That thumbnail gets y'all every time. What are you watching right now on YouTube?

SPEAKER_01

I can't watch YouTube.

SPEAKER_00

Your mama knows that you watch YouTube?

SPEAKER_01

Not even kids YouTube.

SPEAKER_00

You can't watch kids YouTube. That's horrible. Why do you think why do you think she like keep you from watching kids YouTube?

SPEAKER_01

Cause I don't know about kids YouTube, but like the regular YouTube, I only use it for music and TikTok music and sleep music.

SPEAKER_00

What's your favorite sleep music?

SPEAKER_01

So, have you heard of K-pop Demon Hunters?

SPEAKER_00

Of course not.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it's this movie called K-pop Demon Hunters. It's really popular now. And so they have sleep music, like pictures of it, and I found this one where it's like them, but they're backwards, and then it's like playing their music but in piano.

SPEAKER_00

And it helps you go to sleep.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

My my version of sleep music is like thunder like listen to thunderstorms or like wait, thunder thunderstorms is one, and then like other rain sounds.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like the rain too.

SPEAKER_00

Like like waterfalls and stuff like that. They help you. And they gotta have like a nice candle lit.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Some nice candles. So, okay. But um, so yeah. Um, so we're in October, so we got some events coming up. First event coming up, Family Game Night. You coming?

SPEAKER_01

I might, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

You ain't got nothing to do.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. What day is it?

SPEAKER_00

It's not you don't got the flyer.

SPEAKER_01

I do, but I got bad memories.

SPEAKER_00

That's sad. You can't have a uh bad memory of what? Nine?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

How are you now? Yeah. Okay. But anyway, we have Family Game Night coming up. And then after Family Game Night, we have Anti-Bullying Month. So that should be interesting. Have you seen a flyer for Anti-Bullion Month? Oh, that's probably my fault then. Wait, did I I didn't pass those flyers out? Anyway, so we got Anti-Bullion Month coming up. And then last we're gonna round it off with Fall Festival. What are you going to be for Halloween? Do you know?

SPEAKER_01

Ooh. It's a surprise. Me and my friends are doing a group thing.

SPEAKER_00

They're doing a group thing.

SPEAKER_01

Me, Legacy, and Nariah.

SPEAKER_00

We're doing a group thing. Is this how you said it? I can't I can't get a hint.

SPEAKER_01

No. It's a TikTok kind of like filter. It's a TikTok filter.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. That's interesting. Well. Well, yeah. So we got a few events coming up. Are you doing anything? Do you like fall? The fall time?

SPEAKER_01

Halloween, yes. Me and my mama love Halloween.

SPEAKER_00

Y'all love fall?

SPEAKER_01

We loved Halloween.

SPEAKER_00

Y'all love Halloween.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

What was you last year for Halloween? I forgot.

SPEAKER_01

What was I last year?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I was Red from The Rise of Red Descendants.

SPEAKER_00

See, you be you be different stuff. That's pretty good. You be original. I like that. Cause I was like a wizard from You're so old. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You're so old.

SPEAKER_00

From Hogwarts. You don't you don't like Harry Potter?

SPEAKER_01

No. My cousin does, but my mama doesn't like it either.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I'm going to dress up this year for Halloween, too. I already know what I'm going to be.

SPEAKER_01

What are you going to be?

SPEAKER_00

It's a group thing.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not telling you.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

It's gonna be different though.

SPEAKER_01

I hope it is. I hope you're not gonna be something old.

SPEAKER_00

You know what? It kinda is. It's kinda old. Wait, wait, wait. It's kinda old, but at the same time, I think it'll uh I think like everybody'll like it too, though.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

But we'll we'll see what happens.

SPEAKER_01

So You're gonna be a dinosaur.

SPEAKER_00

No, I'm not gonna be no dinosaur. Um, so real, so uh to talk about something real quick. Um, so next week is anti-bullying month, and I know that uh for some kids, like they do, you know, talk about it with their parents, they talk about it with teachers, but like how do you feel about bullying and from a kid's side of it, what do you get like out of bullying? Like what how do you feel about it? And do you feel like your voice is heard when it comes to seeing other people get bullied or you being bullied once upon a time? Like, what are your what are your thoughts about bullying?

SPEAKER_01

I think bullying is like something that should have never started and it should have never happened. And I just think that some kids or adults, adults shouldn't just shouldn't do it.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm. Oh, so you know what? I'm glad you brought that up because some adults are even bullied. Like, I mean, it's sad to even think that way or say that, but yeah, some adults are even bullied as well. Like, have you ever had friends that like come to you and tell you they like have been bullied?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it'd be like sometimes in class or just anywhere. I I just like like I've sometimes I be going to the bathroom or going get some water, and then I come back like something happened or something is happening. And then sometimes it'd be a fight and the teacher be out. Or it's like a fight that something that's really not that big. Like at recess they be fighting over what happened at football, basketball, soccer, a bunch of things.

SPEAKER_00

Do you like have you ever been like bullied? Like, for I mean, now you uh you're fourth grade now. Yes. But from kindergarten.

SPEAKER_01

Fourth grade, fourth grade.

SPEAKER_00

This year?

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

What's happening? Like, you don't have to say names of people, but what's happening? And have you told people? I ain't never heard you say nothing about nobody building yourself.

SPEAKER_01

I've told some of my best friends.

SPEAKER_00

Why you haven't told any of those? I think that's something that, you know, you should speak about it.

SPEAKER_01

I've told like in gym when it happened, I told Cole Thompson.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So do you think it's a difference um between like bullying and like people like joking and getting the best of somebody? Do you think it's a difference? Or do you feel like even someone like jokingly talking about someone is bullying too? Like, how do you feel about that?

SPEAKER_01

Like, I I kinda understand if you're joking and but it depends on what you're joking about.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, that's a good point. Okay, that makes that makes sense. But yeah, most definitely if something's going on, tell an adult too. Don't just tell your friends. Your friends can't do nothing. What they gonna do? Fight. No, that's the point. I didn't mean for real that's the point of the whole anti-bullying week is to kind of like talk about it and try to, you know, put a stop to or decrease that because we don't want that happening. Alright. So before we get off, anything you want to say? Anything on your mind? You sure?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Alright, so yeah, so we will um, you know what? Something that's interesting, I feel like we could do. Um, since we do have like a school Facebook page, like going live on our school Facebook page and recording one day. I think that's something I want us to do in the future. You don't like that?

SPEAKER_01

How much is like the future? I'm going to fifth grade next year.

SPEAKER_00

That's middle school. But I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about this school year. Like just or we can do like a live. Oh, you know what would be cool if we did um like a live in front of like the school. Like we I set up a table and we like we did in the gym today. Like I set up a table in the gym, and then like me and you will do this live.

SPEAKER_01

The kindergartners gonna be too late.

SPEAKER_00

You know what? I think, but you know what though, I think this is something so different. Excuse me. I think this is something so different, they'll be like wondering what we're talking about, and I think they'll be quiet. It's worth a shot. I think it can happen. But I'm not saying anytime soon. Maybe like like March or April next year before you go to fifth grade. So just keep that in mind.

SPEAKER_01

We might have to do March, because I don't know when I'm going out of town for my birthday, April.

SPEAKER_00

Girl, you're gonna be here in April. I know your birthday in April, but you're gonna be here still.

SPEAKER_01

So I'll be gone for a couple of days.

SPEAKER_00

I know you're always going somewhere for your birthday. You you know you're going for your uh birthday next year?

SPEAKER_01

We're supposed to be going to Disneyland in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is like the main trip. Las Vegas because um my cousin, my favorite cousin, she uh I don't really get to see her that much. Uh-huh. So uh so we going to there. So at first it was we were to Disneyland, then they said Las Vegas was like on the way to Disneyland. So I asked if we could pick her up. Gotcha. So then we decided, they decided that uh it's gonna be like I really know, but after we're going to Disneyland or before we're going to Disneyland.

SPEAKER_00

Sounds like a good time. Y'all got some money over there. Let me borrow five dollars. And borrow five.

SPEAKER_01

I had to give my mama five dollars yesterday so I could get Robux. Nah.

SPEAKER_00

So they you didn't give your mama no money for her? That was for you still.

SPEAKER_01

I don't care.

SPEAKER_00

Give me some money for me. Okay, she just made a face. Well, anyway, um, so uh thank you everyone for tuning in. This has been an episode of the Oh Lord, I was about to say my podcast. I'm sorry. I do both podcasts. I do my personal one and I do this one. I almost forgot. All right, I'm back. Thank you guys for joining us on another episode of It's a Kids World Podcast.
