SPEAKER_01Hey, we just informally started this. Welcome to It's a Kid's World Podcast. I know that wasn't the normal intro, but that was funny because this girl talking about Elvis Presley. Alright. Why do you want me to be Elvis Presley?
SPEAKER_00Because I like Elvis Presley.

And the conversation before um the introduction was talking about Throwback Thursday, which is tomorrow, where you know kids get to dress up as their favorite era um or their parents help them out. And it came up about me dressing as Elvis. I don't know why you want me to dress up as this white man. Clearly, I am nowhere. No, I'm not doing that. Stop. Tell me, tell people where you got Elvis from.
SPEAKER_00Fool House.

SPEAKER_01So who is your favorite Foolhouse uh person?
SPEAKER_00I got three.
SPEAKER_01Who?
SPEAKER_00So Michelle and Nikki and Alex.
SPEAKER_01Michelle, Nikki, and Alex. What?
SPEAKER_00The the twins.

SPEAKER_00Uh Ladybug, Cat in Noir, Casey Undercover.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. I know Casey Undercover.
SPEAKER_00Teen Titans.
SPEAKER_01Teen Titans is another one that's a throwback. Okay. You know a little something. So you had the pleasure of doing something this past summer. What did you do?
SPEAKER_00I went to a high school scholarship.
SPEAKER_01You went? You went to a high school in where? Where was it?
SPEAKER_00Atlanta.
SPEAKER_01It was in Atlanta, okay. And it was a road trip, right? It was a road trip. Did you enjoy it? Did you enjoy like the sightseeing on the way?
SPEAKER_00Yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_01So what did you do? I know you said that it was a scholarship that you got a chance to win. And I feel like it was a lot of people wanted to go, but you were one of the people that were chosen. Why do you think you were chosen? What about what about you makes you um a pretty dope person?
SPEAKER_00Unique.
SPEAKER_01What makes you unique? Tell me what makes you unique.
SPEAKER_00I'm different than everybody.
SPEAKER_01Tell me why. You gotta convince me.
SPEAKER_00Cause I like rats and ants.
SPEAKER_01You like like bugs and different stuff like that? You say rats?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01You like rats?
SPEAKER_00Yes!
SPEAKER_01Hey, hey, this is your world. Why you like rats?
SPEAKER_00Cause they cute.
SPEAKER_01No, they not.
SPEAKER_00They got big ears and big and big eyes and tiny eyes.
unknownOh, okay.
SPEAKER_01I guess. So, okay, you were you were able to go to Atlanta and uh you were chosen to go to a high school and you say you had fun.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Would it be something that you would do again?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Alright, why would you do it again?
SPEAKER_00Because I really liked all the things we got to do.
SPEAKER_01Okay, what was your favorite? Tell me one thing that you can remember. I know you said your mind not good. You got an old lady mind. So tell me, what is one thing that um you had fun doing?
SPEAKER_00I remember it was this project we had to do with a group, and we had to like show something to the like people that came for the scholarship. And we had to like make a video for it, and we tr chose homeless people.
SPEAKER_01Okay, that was pretty nice. Then like so after you did that, how do like, is it a certain way you feel about homeless people after you did that project?
SPEAKER_00I always felt sad about homeless people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And homeless animals.
SPEAKER_01And homeless animals.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Well that's good that you have a good heart and you um you guys chose to do something that um was beneficial. That's that's real good. So any of those things that you plan on doing now that you're, you know, got that experience, is anything you like to do with homeless people when you get older?
SPEAKER_00Yes. I always thought about if I get rich, I'm gonna take half and give it to a homeless software, and then the other half give it to animal shelter.
SPEAKER_01So how much so what you gonna have for yourself?
SPEAKER_00Nothing.
SPEAKER_01You gonna you're gonna have no money?
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna live with my mom.
SPEAKER_01No, you're not. Yes, I am. That's not how it works.
SPEAKER_00Yes, it is.
SPEAKER_01How old do you think you're going to be before she decides to put you out? You're not gonna live with her forever.
SPEAKER_0013.
SPEAKER_0113? You think she's gonna put you out at 13?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, whatever. If that's what you think, nah, we won't need that happening to you. But you have a good heart, though. I appreciate that that you want to do for others. Have you always been like that?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01That's that's good. All right. So, um, well, another thing since we're talking about like, you know, our parents and um things like that. Your mother, uh, can you say something about her? Was she a former student here?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01How does it feel to go to the same school that your mother went to?
SPEAKER_00Surprising.
SPEAKER_01It feels surprising. Yes. What's surprising about it?
SPEAKER_00Because I feel like how it was when she was here isn't the same thing it is while I'm here.
SPEAKER_01Oh, is there a lot that changed? Y'all got it made. Y'all got it made. When I was in school versus when y'all was in school is way different. What do you like about school now? Like, what what about school that makes you like, you know what? I really enjoy going to school. Not even if it's here, like any school. Like, what makes school fun to you?
SPEAKER_00My two friends, besties.

SPEAKER_00Twenty-five.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Okay. I just I just want to make sure you was quick on your toes. Two plus two.

SPEAKER_01Three plus three.
SPEAKER_00Six.
SPEAKER_01Six plus six.
SPEAKER_00I don't know that one.
SPEAKER_01See, yeah, yeah, you gotta be quicker than that. But that's good though. Um, I like that. Alright, so is it anything that you want to tell the people before we leave? Oh, no, no, I got something. Are you a Marvel fan? You like Marvel?
SPEAKER_00Yes.

Once again, this is episode three, but um I truly appreciate the support we've been getting from people um like all over the world. Um surprising, I never thought that this early or this soon that we would get that, but it's it's been pretty good. Um, once again, this allows our kids to have a voice and just keep liking it, keep sharing it around to everyone because we want to make this bigger and better as we continue. And until next time for It's a Kids World Podcast. Thank you.
