SPEAKER_01

Welcome to another episode of It's the Kids World Podcast. It is Tuesday, May the 19th, and this is the last week of school. Hallelujah. Um today we try something a little different. We actually got an additional mic. So I got two of the co-hosts here today. One is graduating a couple of, no, not a couple of days tomorrow. And then we got another one that will be returning and keeping it going. How y'all feeling this?

SPEAKER_00

I feel good. I'm feeling okay.

SPEAKER_01

Why just okay?

SPEAKER_00

Uh, we got a lot of chaos upstairs. Talking, all that stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Let it go. It's the last week of school. We're supposed to be chaos.

SPEAKER_00

I don't buy it. You ain't that bad up there.

SPEAKER_01

I just went up there. Y'all just was chilling. You up there. You like an old lady. You don't be like noise or nothing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, at all. I just want peace and quiet.

SPEAKER_01

I want peace and quietness.

SPEAKER_00

With food.

SPEAKER_01

Huh?

SPEAKER_00

With food. Oh my God.

SPEAKER_01

Anyways. She'll be home.

SPEAKER_00

I feel good because. Well, I actually feel great because I'm graduating in a couple of hours.

SPEAKER_01

It's tomorrow. It's still hours.

SPEAKER_00

24 hours.

SPEAKER_01

How many hours?

SPEAKER_00

Um, about 32.

SPEAKER_01

She knows her. That may be around in something like something like that. Or at least.

SPEAKER_00

But I feel great because I'm finna go to the fifth grade and I ain't gotta be with my brother. That's good.

SPEAKER_01

You gonna miss you gonna miss him though.

SPEAKER_00

No, I'm not.

SPEAKER_01

You're not gonna miss your man. You barely see him now because you upstairs you upstairs and he's downstairs.

SPEAKER_00

He still comes upstairs. Well, he used to. I'm just ready for my snacks for Miss Rachel. They'll be good too.

SPEAKER_01

I ain't never seen somebody so little eat so much. It's crazy. So do you have like something you wearing in particular? You got like your graduation dress or anything in particular?

SPEAKER_00

My mama decorated my hat, my cap.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. You going you coming with the puff balls?

SPEAKER_00

No, I'm getting a silk press so I can actually fit. My cap can fit.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. You're getting a soap press. I don't know what that is. That's from girls.

SPEAKER_00

It's my hair straight. Like, it's like straight.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, sip press and all that stuff. Alright. After that, y'all got any graduation plans? You going anywhere to eat? I know you, but do y'all have any uh where to go and celebrate?

SPEAKER_00

Probably. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Where you wanna go?

SPEAKER_00

Um out to eat.

SPEAKER_01

I know that. I'm saying where.

SPEAKER_00

Um, probably gonna ask my mama if I can go with Jordan to go out to eat and have a sleepover.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. So we be telling y'all this, and I want you to listen. You don't gotta come out come back to school after tomorrow. Just stay at home. When you graduate, what you coming back for? You done did what you need, you done accomplished what you needed to accomplish. So there's no reason you should come back, but if you want to, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

The only time I'ma come back is when my brother, for my brother, probably. If we go back.

SPEAKER_01

We got field day on Thursday. You coming, y'all coming back for that?

SPEAKER_00

Definitely.

SPEAKER_01

How about you, Malia? You got one more year until it's it's that fateful day of graduation. Um if you if you could say, because this is our by the way, this is our last episode, and we and Malia might record um this summer or whatever, but this is your last day with me. Yeah, this is our last day with so um what will like your summer look like and like going to the fourth grade, and when knowing when you come back, you're gonna be the oldest in the building. Like, how do you feel about that?

SPEAKER_00

I feel great, responsible, a lot. I feel pretty good and nervous at the same time.

SPEAKER_01

About being like the officially being the oldest in the building. Yes, and everybody can be looking at y'all.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's nerve-wracking because these kids can probably do whatever we um do. So if they following, like, if we doing something we know we're not supposed to be doing, then people gonna think that that's the right thing to do. So I'm just like, we know we're not supposed to be doing that, but we do it. And we don't think that people will actually follow us, but they do, and we be like, no, don't do that. But we did it, so they think it's okay for them to do it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because like people are easily influenced. Like, if somebody sees a person doing the wrong thing and getting away with doing it, they're gonna like, well, let me try to do it and see if I can get away with it. So, yes, you setting the example of being what you want your peers to be is a good thing to do. Some people get that. It's good that you get that, but everybody don't understand that. And I feel like that's the reason why we be having issues sometimes. Because people like do the wrong thing and be like, ooh, I want to do it too.

SPEAKER_00

It'd be misunderstandings or mishaps or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but um, I think that when you're a good leader, like people will follow you. People will listen to you. Do you feel like people listen to y'all?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. You say no.

SPEAKER_01

She said, okay, why you say yeah?

SPEAKER_00

Because like a lot of people kind of listen. And some people don't. I don't know why. It's just like it sounds like an opinion to me. People, if they don't want to do it, then that's just what they want to do. But some it's like opinion. Like, if some people don't want to do this, then the other people want to. It's just like a disagreement.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, like you said, it's a it's an opinion. Like either they wanna do it or they're not. And why you say, why and why do you say no, they don't listen?

SPEAKER_00

Well, it's because we're kind of crazy. We don't listen at all. Um, and honestly, I'm not gonna deal with it. I'ma just be quiet and let my day be on. And let them get in trouble and not me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so your approach pretty much be I'm gonna do what I gotta do. Y'all can be over there with all of the shenanigans, but I'm gonna make sure I'm straight. You can do that too. Sometimes that's good. I feel like it both of y'all got a good point. Like sometimes you do gotta mind your business and just let whatever happened, happen. But everybody don't think that way, so that's good that y'all got your own interpretation of what you feel is though works. So that's good. What y'all doing for the summer? Y'all got plans? Y'all going anywhere y'all traveling?

SPEAKER_00

Probably. Uh I'm probably. I'm probably gonna do that. Um, it's probably gonna in the summer is probably gonna be my mama's birthday, so.

SPEAKER_01

You know your mama when is your mama's birthday? Do you know?

SPEAKER_00

I think it's in June. You think? Jay? No, because like June and July, I get them two mixed up. So sometimes I think my mama's birthday is in July, and sometimes I think it's in June.

SPEAKER_01

You need to figure out when your mama's birthday is. Because I bet you this. If if it's your birthday, you're gonna want something. What if your mama. No, no, that ain't fair. Because what if your mama forget your birthday? You're gonna have a fit. So that ain't right. You need to remember your mama's birthday. Let your mama, well, because your birthday is when?

SPEAKER_00

February 23rd.

SPEAKER_01

So what if your mama be like, ain't your birthday March 23rd?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. You'll be mad.

SPEAKER_00

It's not my birthday.

SPEAKER_01

I know. But so you saying the same thing. It's June. It's like, I don't know, I'll be getting them mixed up.

SPEAKER_00

Because they like the same.

SPEAKER_01

They both got J's and go home and be like, be like, what day your birthday on? In June, right? So you can get the correct date.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I'm gonna try to get the correct.

SPEAKER_01

You don't need to try, you need to. Don't try. Dude. Girl, you better know your mama's birthday. That's crazy. You know your mama's birthday movie?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. April 2nd.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

April 2nd? Yeah. That's my sister's birthday. Oh. Oh, look at that.

SPEAKER_01

That's y'all got something coming, and y'all never knew it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, definitely. That's my sister's birthday.

SPEAKER_01

Which one?

SPEAKER_00

Makaya.

SPEAKER_01

That's the one at the middle school?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

She in fifth grade.

SPEAKER_01

She's in what grade?

SPEAKER_00

Fifth.

SPEAKER_01

Alright.

SPEAKER_00

She she's upset that I'm trying, I'ma um annoy her when I go to fifth grade. But um, I probably is, I probably is, but I'm probably not.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, we're gonna we're gonna do something different real quick, and I want both of you guys like opinion. We're gonna play this, we're gonna play this or that.

SPEAKER_00

Uh okay.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, we'll start it. Start with this one. Would you rather eat broccoli flavored ice cream or onion cookies? Think about it again. Would you rather eat broccoli flavored ice cream or onion cookies?

SPEAKER_00

Onion cookies. What did you say?

SPEAKER_01

Broccoli with broccoli flavored ice cream? Yes. Why would you say onion cookies?

SPEAKER_00

Because ice cream is good, but like if you have well, actually I'll pick the ice cream now because you can just pick the things out. Or if they it's just like swirl in it, then yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'd say the broccoli flavor ice cream because if you eat onion cookies, your breath is gonna be crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Yeah, that's why.

SPEAKER_01

Like the broccoli flavor ice cream probably gonna be nasty, but uh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

At least it's healthy.

SPEAKER_01

One thing hey, it's some it's some health in there.

SPEAKER_00

One thing about me is I'm not one thing about me is I don't like my breath being stinky.

SPEAKER_01

And you eating some onion cookies?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, I'd rather eat the flavor broccoli than that. I'll swallow it down with some water.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. All right, would you rather sneeze glitter or burp bubbles?

SPEAKER_00

Sneeze glitter. No way. Burp glut bubbles. I was gonna say glad burp bubbles because sneeze and glitter. It's gonna get all over my hands and all that stuff. Or I'm gonna get irritated. I'll probably over your clothes if you weren't. I'm gonna get so irritated.

SPEAKER_01

And when you sneeze too much, well, that stuff starts hurting.

SPEAKER_00

It does.

SPEAKER_01

Like if you sneak if you're sick and you start doing that sneeze. And just think about it, just glitter just fine. Every time. Yeah, yeah, no, I'm good on that.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I'll be. I'll be looking like a magic trick.

SPEAKER_01

All right, let's do something a little, let's do something a little different. All right, pizza with chocolate syrup or ice cream of ketchup?

SPEAKER_00

Pizza of syrup. Pizza with ice syrup. Oh, chocolate syrup.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no.

SPEAKER_01

I agree. I don't want no ketchup on my ice cream. I'm ready for that. That's getting me to the waffles or pancakes. This is a very important question. Waffles or pancakes. I'ma judge you depending upon what you do.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. They're both good. Waffles. They both good and pancakes.

SPEAKER_01

I'ma since y'all debating. I'ma say I'ma say pancakes.

SPEAKER_00

I'm going with waffles. I like pancakes.

SPEAKER_01

You don't say pancakes?

SPEAKER_00

I just go with waffles. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Two toppings. What two toppings are you putting on your waffles, or you just need syrup, that's it. What toppings are you putting on it?

SPEAKER_00

I put syrup in. I just do syrup.

SPEAKER_01

You do syrup, okay, keeping it plain.

SPEAKER_00

With my pancakes, I normally do um syrup and that's it. But I would prefer the um sugar powder or something like that, and some raspberry and blueberries and some strawberries with some syrup.

SPEAKER_01

Why you look what you looking at? See up here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's gonna be looking good. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

All right, um swim like a dog. No, I don't like that one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, swim like a wet.

SPEAKER_01

Would you rather live in a tree house or a sunny um beach in a cabin? Live in a tree house or a sunny beach in a cabin. I'd rather sunny beach in the cabinet. I agree.

SPEAKER_00

I like because I'ma get striped in the tree house. Mostly it's gonna probably make a fire. And it's probably gonna like fall apart once it's like rain or something.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and and nobody gets striped. I don't play with the thunder.

SPEAKER_00

I don't play with all that thunder.

SPEAKER_01

I don't play with not being on the ground. I need to be on the ground. I don't need nothing for the city. I think I passed.

SPEAKER_00

I think I'm uh I'm um afraid of heights. Now, if it was a tsunami, I would pick the tree house. Yeah. Cause I don't I don't I don't mess around with no water.

SPEAKER_01

Think about that.

SPEAKER_00

I don't really mess around with no um water hurricane.

SPEAKER_01

I'm still gonna I'm still gonna go with that because I don't want to be in the air. Yeah. I don't need nothing to be in no.

SPEAKER_00

We went to the carnival. Hold on, let me tell you my story. No. We went to this carnival and they had like this little this little, I don't know what it was, this little ride. And you go up and then down. And every time you go up, it feels like that you're going in the air. And I hate the I hate heights. Like, they're so terrified. It's like I just all every time I'm up in the air, then I feel like that I'm finna fall. Like, I always think about that. And I hate thinking about that. Because I actually think that it's gonna go, it's gonna come true. So I hate heights. I went to Orlando with my dad and my friend, my best friend, and my brother because it was, I think it was last year in January. And so we went on this roller coaster, and my brother was forcing me and my best friend. I don't like roller coasters anymore.

SPEAKER_01

I don't miss roller coasters.

SPEAKER_00

I don't mess with roller coasters.

SPEAKER_01

See, I be I be having stuff in my mind of what if this thing, like a school come out.

SPEAKER_00

I have anxiety, and I think too much about it.

SPEAKER_01

Every day it works fine, but the day I decide to get on it, you want to mess up.

SPEAKER_00

You just want to mess up and just want to mess with you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_00

I ain't going on it again.

SPEAKER_01

No, we ain't doing it. All right, let's okay, let's just try these couple of school ones. Would you rather be the funniest kid in class or the smartest? Smartest.

SPEAKER_00

The smartest.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I kind of figured y'all picked that.

SPEAKER_00

I want rewards.

SPEAKER_01

Would you rather have a teacher who's would you rather have a teacher who sings every day or whispers everything?

SPEAKER_00

Sing. Sing. Cause whispering, I can I can barely hear.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, what?

SPEAKER_00

I can barely hear you. At least she's not gonna be able to do it.

SPEAKER_01

But but you know how annoying it'll be like if your teacher just sung to you everything.

SPEAKER_00

Now if she don't know how to sing, then heck no, I'm going to whispering. That's what I'm saying. But what if whispering?

SPEAKER_01

But what if they can't sing and you gotta listen to it? Like they sing. Think about this. The question they sing everything. So they never talk. They sing everything.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, whisper.

SPEAKER_00

I I pick whisper.

SPEAKER_01

I probably pick whisper because I ain't still sick.

SPEAKER_00

Especially if you don't know how to do something.

SPEAKER_01

So they mean they're teaching you the way they're teaching you singing too. I'm talking about everything singing. They don't they don't know how to talk.

SPEAKER_00

But but the whispering though, I can barely hear you.

SPEAKER_01

You better get closer.

SPEAKER_00

Better get closer. The only thing I'm gonna do is scoop my desk so I can hear him or her.

SPEAKER_01

Would you rather these are okay, these are some crazy ones, and we'll be done. Would you rather walk backwards forever or hop everywhere?

SPEAKER_00

Walk backwards. Walk backwards. I'm not hopping like the money today.

SPEAKER_01

But I'm cal muscles gonna be strong.

SPEAKER_00

Cause how?

SPEAKER_01

What did you just do? You tried to hop. I don't know. You ain't catching that. She'll be hopping. I don't know what she just did in her seat. Who was that?

SPEAKER_00

It was supposed to be walking backwards.

SPEAKER_01

You say your back hurt?

SPEAKER_00

No, it was it was supposed to be walking backwards.

SPEAKER_01

No. Just no, like you walking back. Like how you walk forward to walk back. Not bending back. She done bend back.

SPEAKER_00

You do a finna do a back bend.

SPEAKER_01

I'd probably say hop everywhere though. Uh oh. I don't know. Walking backwards. I need to see where I'm going. Like, if you're walking backwards, you don't know where you're. But your neck. No, your neck gonna be broke. Oh lord, they done got up demonstrated. They done walked away from microphones. No, I can't. I can't do the walk backwards because I need to see where I'm going.

SPEAKER_00

The question is, how you gonna open it though? I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Keep going. Am I probably gonna do this to sleep?

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. No, now keep going. Now keep going. She demonstrated. Go ahead, keep going. Now walk backwards out the door. You're gonna hit your head. See what I'm saying? Makes no sense.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I'm probably having a lot of things.

SPEAKER_01

Makes no sense at all. Alright, so yeah, those were just some uh some things I found that was pretty crazy that I wanted to get your opinion on. So um as we close out this school year, I feel like it was a pretty good one another, successful school year. I feel like the podcast has done better this school year because we've been putting out episodes every week. We've been putting something out. Um I got the tripod yesterday, so we may start the YouTube channel over the summer, and then that's gonna be that. Anything y'all got left to say before we close it out?

SPEAKER_00

I'm finna graduato. What?

SPEAKER_01

She said first she said, I'm finna grade. You're about to. You're at school, remember?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know what that means. So she don't got nothing to say.

SPEAKER_00

It means that I'm I'm going to graduate. All I gotta say is I'm just ready to go on a vacay.

SPEAKER_01

She's ready to go on her vacay. So um, I hope y'all enjoy those things. Enjoy your vacation whenever you go or wherever you go.

SPEAKER_00

And eat a lot of food.

SPEAKER_01

Most definitely.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, you always talking about food.

SPEAKER_01
