Thousands of non-citizens were mistakenly added to New Jersey's voter rolls, and hundreds illegally cast ballots before the error was discovered. Was it just a software glitch, or does it expose bigger weaknesses in election security? Ally Triolo is the Republican National Committee's Election Integrity Communications Director. She joins the show to discuss what went wrong, how election officials are responding, and what it means for voter confidence.

Hey, welcome back to the Lars Larson Show. It's a pleasure to be with you, and I want to call on Allie Triolo, who is the Republican National Committee's Election Integrity Communications Director. Allie, welcome to the program.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, thank you so much for having me tonight.

SPEAKER_00

I've been belaboring my audience with all kinds of extra details that appear to be coming out now because yesterday you had Mikey Sherrill, the new governor uh of New Jersey since January, uh saying, Oh, it's the software company. They screwed us up. Well, it turns out the software company does not appreciate being put on the hook for having created the problem, and they've now essentially said, we gave New Jersey all the data to know who was a citizen and who was not, and who was getting signed up to vote and who was not, and we're not the ones who registered people to vote, so it's not our problem, and they are pushing back hard on this. Who should we believe in and what do you read into this?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I think it's obvious that the governor is to blame, the New Jersey State Board of Elections are to blame, and the way that the employees uh were told to not review the voter rolls properly in accordance with state law is to blame. It is very clear that the buck stops with the governor, Mikey Sherrill, and she is the one to blame. Also, I want to point out that the RNC and the New Jersey GOP, we actually did a public records request a month ago to every single county in New Jersey, and we uncovered non-citizens on the voter rolls. So this is a moment where we're looking at the Democrats and saying, hello, this is what we have been saying for years.

SPEAKER_00

This is why she's the pride of Bakersfield. But uh, Allie, tell me this. Um Well, I just yeah, uh yeah. Uh but but let me ask you this. See, I've got a problem with some of the timeline that I think even Politico in the Hill and the rest of these jokers did not twig to. Because let me lay it out for you this way, and you tell me what we should think. Discovered June of 23. Allegedly software fixed June of 24 a year later, and then Mikey Sherrill says, and my staff is removing the bad registrations in January of 26. And I say, hold on. You found the bad registrations in June of 23. You fixed the software problem in 24, but then the bad registrations stayed on the books for two years. Can somebody explain? Do you have any insight as to what was going on there? My theory was they had an election in 24 and they wanted to leave the bad registrations on the books.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, listen, Democrats have admitted that there is no way that they can win elections unless they leave the door open for non-citizens to vote. I mean, we have clips of this at the RNC. There are people who spend their entire day getting these soundbites and exposing the truth to the American people. In fact, I was just speaking with a reporter before I got on the phone with you, recounting every single state where non-citizens are on the voter rolls. I mean, the sad part is, yes, is this New Jersey expose a bombshell? Sure, we already wrote this story a month ago. These Democrats are just catching up. But again, President Trump gave a major address to the American people just last week, uncovering the truth, peeling back the curtain. And we know non-citizens, hundreds of thousands of them, are on voter rolls all around our country. So I think it's pretty clear that the thing that Democrats keep denying never happens, not only is it happening, but it is happening in a way where everyone should take be taking rather a good, hard look in the mirror and asking Democrats, why are you still denying common sense legislation to stop this, like the Save America Act? And that's really where it stands right now.

SPEAKER_00

I'm talking to Ali Triola, who's the RNC's election integrity department. So tell me this. So a few weeks ago, the Trump administration said, look, we've found a quarter million uh bad registrations for nationals and everything else. I think they identified close to 90,000 of them in New Jersey. And then New Jersey comes out and does this Maya culpa this week and says it's 6,600. Well, which one is it? Is it 6,000 or is it 90,000? Do we know?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I think we need to trust uh the federal government here. Obviously, the New Jersey government is not to be trusted because look at what's been happening in their uh election department for so long. I think that what is difficult now is how are Democrats going to explain this away? They're trying, they're trying to use uh an equipment issue, they're trying to blame other people. But really, at the end of the day, the truth has been unveiled. Also, we had Chinese interference getting access to 220 million Americans' voter rolls. I mean, these are not small issues, these are not one-offs. But the real issue here, even if one non-citizen is voting in our elections, that's one too many because it cancels out the vote of a legal, hardworking American who deserves to have their voice heard. So I think what we really need to be doing is looking at Democrats and feeling a sense of pity. They have been lying to their voters, lying to uh the public for so long that this isn't happening when clearly it is.

SPEAKER_00

Allie, aren't you glad you chose the right side of this? Because if you were on the DNC side of this same issue, you'd be trying to explain to reporters why black people aren't smart enough to be able to get driver's licenses or how they they don't know how to register to vote and a lot of things like that. Thank goodness you're on the R and Z side where you can just say, Yeah, I don't, I've never met I have plenty of black friends. None of them has a problem getting a driver's license, none of them has a problem getting registered to vote. But apparently the Democrats, they know all kinds of mythological black Americans who aren't capable of any of those things.

SPEAKER_01

Well, hopefully, given all of this news, we're gonna have a lot more Democrats voting Republican. I mean, if I was working for the DNC and was watching President Trump's address, seeing the proof, seeing what Mikey Sherrill is putting out, I probably would be looking in the mirror and wondering, hmm, is this the party that I want to uh attach my name and my vote to? I think also when we talk about elections, President Trump did a very good job of being very unifying during his address. In fact, he ended his speech by saying whether you're a Republican, a Democrat, or an independent, this should be a nonpartisan issue to want secure elections. This is the bare minimum. We have so much polling. We know 80% of Americans support photo ID, proof of citizenship. So the only people that are making this polarizing are the elected Democrats who know if we impose citizenship requirements and photo ID, they're gonna lose their elections.

SPEAKER_00

I think that's right. Allie, thank you very much.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you so much for having me.

SPEAKER_00

You bet. That's Ali Triolo from the RNC's election integrity department. By the way, everybody talks about losing weight, and everybody lately has been talking about those GLP ones. You know, the shots, the ones that lower your blood sugar and cut your appetite. But what if you want to lose weight? But you don't want to have those painful weekly injections, especially when you hear about all the intense side effects. I don't like GLP ones at all. And that's why doctors created a weight loss supplement called lean. And the results, I can say from my own use, are remarkable. The studied ingredients in lean will lower your blood sugar. They burn up fat by converting it to energy, they curb your appetite and your cravings. That means you're not nearly as hungry. But lean is not for the casual dieter who only has a few pounds to lose. The doctors at Brickhouse Nutrition created lean for frustrated dieters, the ones with 10 or more pounds they want to lose. I want to get you started with 20% off the regular price and free rush shipping. That means you can add lean to your healthy diet and exercise plan the way I have. Visit takelean.com and put in Lars for your discount. That's L-A-R-S. And yes, my parents had a sense of humor. That's promo code Lars at takelean.com.
