I know a lot of you guys are out there in Minneapolis having a ball. Celebration 2025 this year. Today is day three. And uh just wanted to uh jump on real quick. This is probably gonna be my last day of the celebration doing a live stream. But I've got a lot of goodies for you guys today in the purple family. Hopefully you guys can join in today. Uh as I mentioned before, today is June 7th, 2025. Prince's birthday. And what's happening at celebration today. Uh they're having a big block party down at the at the new Prince mural across from First Avenue downtown Minneapolis. I'm sure many of you guys are uh uh going there today. That event starts at 5 o'clock PM Minneapolis time. Um this is the flyer for it. Nope. That's it. There we go. There we go. Anyway, that's the flyer for it. Event starts at 5. Goes on till about um 1 a.m. Minneapolis time, so I'm sure you guys are um probably just getting there. I've got a live correspondence key area. She's gonna join me about 5.30, 5.45, something like that. And she's gonna give us a live feed of what's going on there at the block party on day three of the Prince Celebration 2025. Um many of you guys attended the uh the big concert last night at Paisley, which featured Morse Day in the Time, the original family, Jesse Johnson, and also we had um let's see if I can find that other flyer. We had uh one second guy with me one second guy. I must have deleted it. Oh here we go, here we go, here we go, here we go. As I said, we had more standard time, Jesse Johnson, the family, and we had Jada Nicole, we had Johnny Venus. Hope you guys enjoyed that. Those of you who could not make it to the concert like uh myself, I actually have some footage for you to check out. Um some videos that I that I captured, and I want to give a shout out to uh to Ricky Freeze Smith. He's actually the bass player for the time the revamped time. He provided some videos that I'm gonna show you, and uh also uh Violet Brown. Also, shout out to those guys for the video footage and uh let's take a look. See what see what we missed together. This is what took place last night. Celebrated the birthday on the first time. All right. That was Jesse, and then we also had three more than time. More says he condensates. And of course, we had the incredible, my favorite protege band to come out of the purple camp. So that was what took place at Paisley last night. Kicked off at seven o'clock, and I don't have any footage of Jada Nicole or Johnny Phoenix, but I am absolutely positive they did a great job. Uh to my understanding, they did. So, anyway, let's see what else do we have. Oh man, we want to give a special happy birthday as well to Mr. Jimmy Jam Harris. I don't know if his birthday was today or whether it was yesterday. But happy birthday and salute to the great Jimmy Jam Harris. Hey, hey everyone. Hey, what's up, Cherry Cherry? What's going on? What's good? What's up? Shout out to Minneapolis as well. Did Jesse play with the time? I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say he did not. I was curious about that as well. Whether or not those guys were gonna play dual roles. Because Jerome was there as well, he was with the family. And I know that he mentioned on the Funkatobia interview a few days ago that he was not going to uh join the time and uh play dual roles, so I would assume uh Jesse did not. That would have been great to see both those guys joining with the time, and all we would have been missing is probably Monty and Jimmy Jam Terry Lewis. Um Harlow says I saw St. Paul a few years ago. He is so funky. Yeah, he's always funky, man. I've never seen him live. I've never seen the family live or F-Delux. So anytime I get a chance to see those guys, I'm definitely gonna be there. Because they are definitely funky. I don't know if you guys um are fortunate enough to pick up any of the F F Delux albums, but they are funky as well. Sounds a lot like the family stuff, of course. Yeah, man. I don't know if you follow uh St. Paul on social media, but like every Friday he does like uh uh a thing called uh funk Fridays, and he's funking it up for us with some original stuff. Sometimes he does stuff that we're familiar with, but like he gets together with his crew and uh he uh puts on some funk on Fridays for us. Let's see what else do we have. What else do we have? Oh uh DJ Link of Paris, she's been busy throughout Celebration 2025. Link of Paris, I think she's got one more day, uh which is tomorrow. She's gonna DJ at Paisley Park. Uh I don't have the time for you, so you might want to go check out her social media and uh see what time she's gonna be at Paisley if you're there at celebration. Um what else do we have going on? This event is actually happening in my hometown. This event starts at nine and they're celebrating Princess's birthday tonight. Uh those of my followers that are uh in Columbia. I'm in Columbia, South Carolina actually. Uh this event's taking place down in the popular five points area. Um and they're having a uh costume contest. And whoever wins the contest will get some type of award. I think it's like a gift certificate to thrift stores or something like that. Anyway, it is what it is, but I'm gonna check it out and see what it's all about. Yeah, that would have been amazing for sure. See what else we have going on before I uh get to some other stuff. Um anyway. I don't know when this clip was taken, but I think it's to commemorate Prince's birthday.

But anyway, I thought that was kind of special. Um let's see. And back to Prince's birthdays. We all know Prince wasn't big on birthdays. I don't know at what point he decided that he no longer wanted to celebrate birthdays, probably around the time they became uh a Jehovah's Witness, I'm not sure. But I remember the Detroit show. It was a birthday show. He was actually celebrating that night because he put on a show in Detroit in 1986 on June 7th to celebrate his birthday. So at some point he decided I'm not gonna do it anymore. And this is uh there's here here are a few clips for Prince speaking about the fact that he's uh he doesn't celebrate birthdays, so let's check this out real quick.

I already know. Okay. Not a part of purple circle. I had a friend call in on the last show unexpectedly. He had no idea he was gonna be on the show.
