If you can to late eighties or the nineties, go back. Look up blue white soul. You'll find a ton of this stuff. Listen out and you gotta hear it. Who was it? Nate Dog that sampled this rapped over it. Made it a huge hit back in the early mid eighties, like nineties. Nate Dog Ranging. Whoa, warning evil. So mellow now. Yes, sir. And so while we're on the Michael McDonald tip, everyone knows what group Michael McDonald came from, right?

SPEAKER_08

Where you at? Raise your hands. That's before my time. Late sixties. Back then, seventy nine. This song was out. It was just beginning for you, right? Take you back a little bit. Replenish some memories.

SPEAKER_05

Nothing you can't handle. Nothing you can't handle. Put your money on the table and drop it off the laugh. You gotta come back to town.

SPEAKER_06

You're not saying about you.

SPEAKER_08

Hello and welcome. We're just having a Monday night blue-eyed soul party. Rocking out right now to some boss sky. One of the funkiest guys to ever do it. If you know of any blue-eyed soul groups, bands, artists that uh I haven't played here tonight, drop them in the comments. Let's talk about those guys that I might have missed. So far we've done some some hauling outs, some Michael McDonald, Boobie Brothers. Yeah, we're doing some boss skats. Can you think of any others?

SPEAKER_05

Running with the Joneses, not just in West Side now. You better get on back around. To the side side truth, the jail down.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, I'm one of you.

SPEAKER_08

Oh thank you, man. Who knew?

SPEAKER_15

American songs, needless to say.

SPEAKER_08

Who knew this dude could be so funky, man? This came out when I was a kid. I was like, dang, who was that, brother? Come to find out. It was David Bowie. Font all in your face. Wow. Live version is even better than the original one. Moving away along. I remember as a kid seeing Elton John on Soul Train.

unknown

Stick around.

SPEAKER_08

You know, if you were a white artist and you ended up on Soul Train. You had some soul. And you were funky. This song was funky. Yes, sir, Rocket Man. Thank you, John. Did anybody see Rocket Man, the movie Biopic of Delphine John? I didn't catch it yet. I still have yet to see that. I gotta check it out. I was just a little tiny kid when this came out. Early on, I knew what I was getting into. This stuff was played in heavy rotation when I was a kid. In my house, my parents played this stuff a lot. I think when I was probably eight or nine, my dad bought me a John Curtis album. And this was on it. That's when I found out how funky this song was. Longevity. Dude had a unique voice. This is Leo Sayers. You make me feel like dancing. Oh man, YouTube, please, please don't slap me. YouTube copyright, don't slap me. People need to hear this stuff, man. Especially the youngsters. This was that when I was a kid, but I can remember this was huge in the disco world. This was before Saturday Night Fever and that whole John from the crazy. But definitely probably inspired things to follow as far as this world. This next one, you might want to break out your wine bottles, your champagne, but don't bump it up to the late 90s. Remember this in the clubs? Mr. John B. Little Tip John B. was discovered and signed by Tracy Edmonds, the wife of Babyface. At that time.

SPEAKER_16

One people say one people say I'm so fair. But you cheat me now that should be show me out. I won't see you. You should know by now that it's gonna take a lot to do for make it shoot what you want.

SPEAKER_08

I think John's still out there trying. Not really putting any music out lately, but at least still out there on stage. Trying to rekindle that 90s vibe. Everyone knows him. Huge in the early to mid two thousands. Mr. Robin Thick, though. Son of the late Alan Thick. Formerly married to Paula Patton. They have one child together.

SPEAKER_04

Tell me how you love me more, and how you think I'm soxy. But you don't want nobody else. You don't want this guy. You don't want that guy. You want to touch yourself when you see. You want to say one, get out of the cobbler. I just love to hear you say. Make it make you sober. Tell me to pay on. I need to hear that I'm lost without you. Can't help my self. How does it feel? To know that I love you baby. Love with you. Can't help my stuff. How does it feel? To know that I love you babe. Baby, you're the perfect shape.

SPEAKER_16

Baby, you're the perfect way. But treat me like my birthday. I want it this way. I want it that way. I want it.

SPEAKER_04

Tell me you don't want me to start. Tell me it would break your heart. But you love me and all my day. You want to roll me, you wanna go in, you wanna make lies and get noise you want with me. I just love to hear you say it. It makes a man feel so good. I'm lost without you. I can't say I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I can't say, I love you, baby, I guess, without you, I guess, without you, I get so lost that you lost, I don't think.

SPEAKER_08

Ready to go back to back yet. Huge in the discourse. You need the voices legendary. Bee gees. These dudes were together since they were little tiny kids. If you do your research, look at bee gees, you might see some stuff from when they were like five or six years old. This was on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. Huge album, huge movie. Back in the city of 79.

SPEAKER_11

I'm going nowhere, somebody help me. Somebody help me help me. I'm going nowhere, somebody help me.

SPEAKER_08

Rest in peace, Maurice Gibb. Rest in peace, Robin Gibb. The only BG that we have left right now is Barry Gibb. Lead singer. Every time I hear this song, all I can see is John Travolta pimping down the sidewalk. Suddenly night fever.

SPEAKER_11

I've gone in nowhere. Somebody help me. Somebody help me. I'm going to help me.

SPEAKER_08

I wouldn't even attempt to hit any of those vinyls.

SPEAKER_11

I'm going to somebody help me. Somebody help me. I'm going to somebody help me.

SPEAKER_08

Another hot song. Welcome. Just vibing out to some blue-eyed soul on a manic Monday night.

unknown

And the feeling that I feel for you is more.

SPEAKER_08

We're on our last song here. This is Andy Gibbs. Brother of the BeG's. Also passed away at a young age.

SPEAKER_13

Watch it and see if you give a little more than you're risking for your love, it's a key. Open up the heaven in your heart and let me do the things you taught to me, and that's all but on the strength. If I stay here without you falling out with that.

unknown

I want you to lay here.

SPEAKER_13

I do in a dance to be around.

SPEAKER_08

Welcome. As I mentioned before, rhyming out some blue-eyed soul on the Manic Monday night. Thanks for joining. As I mentioned before, if you can think of any blue-eyed soul artists that I failed to mention here tonight, drop some names, some groups down in the comments.

SPEAKER_13

I just want to be a prepared. Open up the heaven in your heart and let me be the things you want to be, and I sound buffet on a string.

SPEAKER_08

I would say the seventies eighties were huge. As far as blue eyes, so I want today and then the love I have to bring.

unknown

I do wear a day.

SPEAKER_08

Still continues today.

SPEAKER_13

Open up the heaven in your heart and let me be the things you are to me and I sound but they are a strength.

SPEAKER_08

Don't they sound so much alike though? All the Gibbs brothers, they have that distinct sound. Their voices are very similar. Barry, Andy.

unknown

I want to let you ever know that to bring.

SPEAKER_08

Definitely tell them that they're Gibbs brothers. Open up the air and your heart and every before the things you hope I've taken you back tonight. Spark some memories in your life. As a young person. Growing up in the 70s and eighties and probably nineties for some of you. All right, y'all. And again. Anyway, that is going to join for tonight's live stream. Thanks again.
