I don't know if you guys heard the announcements or not, but uh I know many of you are going to uh celebration this year, and I'm still on the fence about going. Um the plane prices still don't look good, and I know I've got like two weeks to make a decision, so I am trying to make it happen. But anyway, I was contacted by someone over on uh TikTok. She's got three Paisley uh tour tickets to sell. And uh if you're over on TikTok, her name is Quantum Queen. She's got like three tickets and she's selling them for face value, uh, plus text. Also, I read a statement by Mr. Ricky Free Smith. Everybody knows Ricky Smith. He's uh bass player for the Time Band. And he made an announcement today. The Time Band Masterclass welcomes Dr. Fink and Kirk Johnson. These two legends really need no introduction. You already know who they are and what they've contributed to Prince, his life, his music, and the Minneapolis sound. This is going to be serious and funky. We are extremely excited to have Dr. Fink and Kirk Johnson join the Time Band Masterclass as we continue to spread the music, keep the legacy alive, and educate our youth to pick up instruments and play real music. Jelly Bean would be happy knowing Dr. Fink and Kirk Johnson have joined us in continuing to teach the music we all love, the Minneapolis, the sound of Minneapolis. As you know, Prince was a strong advocate for teaching, mentoring, and putting instruments in the hands of our youth to keep real music and legacy alive. Legacy alive. That's what time it is. And he goes on to say, now you have a powerful mix of the time, the revolution, and MPG coming together to combine the music and make it one sound. The Prince sound. Just a side note, he says, those who may not know, Dr. Fink played synthesizer solos on the stick and get it up from the debut album by the time. So he's a member by default. There you have it. Yeah, I was just I was saying earlier. If it weren't for the current state of the plane fair, there'd be no question. I would definitely be in Minneapolis. I'm still hoping that uh I'll finally get a deal. Within the next two weeks, I can finally uh make that decision. I mean, this is the 10-year reunion. I know a lot of people are saying the same thing. This is the 10-year reunion. I mean, not reunion, 10-year anniversary. The friend is passing, I gotta be there, I gotta be there. And I've been saying that for the last three years. When 10-year uh anniversary comes around, I gotta be there. I gotta be there. But now that uh prices are the way they are, it's making you rethink things.

That's funny. This is a ten minute track, so we're gonna be we're gonna be jamming for a minute. I'm broke. Yes, ma'am, as we all are. It's crazy out there, man. Gas prices, grocery prices, plane fares, hotel prices, restaurant prices. It's terrible, man. Stephanie says, I ain't paying fourteen hundred dollars for VA VIP. I notice tickets haven't sold out. I want their early bird special at least. I know they need to uh to make that available again. I mean, like I said, even the single-day event prices are crazy. That's what I said when I first saw that uh post by Paisley. I'm like 1400 for VIP and 900 for general admission? Oh, hell no. Hell and no. I can't get on the pole and make some extra money because I'm past that age now. Nobody wants to see that. Like Prince used to say, it's just old skin. Nobody wants to see that, so I can't do that. Not gonna Uber, not gonna Door Dash any of that. I like my free nights, my free weekends, so it is what it is. Personally, I don't I don't I don't think Prince would like it at the high price point. But that's the estate for you. All about it's all about the Benjamins for them. Do you guys wanna keep vibing out of this track or you wanna move to the next one? Wanna leave it up to you. It's pretty funky. Nice synthesizer work, Ricky. That same kind of steady groove. Yeah, no, you wouldn't. Totally agree with that. See it doesn't matter to me. What do you mean by that, Christina? Are you guys excited about the new music that's about to drop? Uh I'm talking about the uh parade, deluxe package that's coming out soon. And then I think there was an announcement on new me new music other than the parade package that's supposed to be coming out this summer, probably.

It's been a minute since we've had some new Prince music that we haven't heard come out of that vault, man. So I'm glad that uh they're about to make that happen for us. Us Prince fans, we get we get irritable, man. Our relationship with the estate is not great. And they know that. And so because they know that, I think they're trying their best to work as quickly as they can to get something to us. And I think that's what Prince would have wanted. He did say that when he's no longer here, someone else would release the stuff. Let's let's do it. And what I like about when they release new prints material out of the vault that we've never heard before. It it seems so fresh and so new. As if he's still with us. Remember when uh Welcome to America came out? And that was recorded back in 2010-2011, but it sounded so fresh and so new.

Little Marvin Gay remake, I'm gonna do it. It's causing a bunch of hoopla. You if you checked out Funkatopia uh Tuesday night, Mr. Christopher and Michael Bland talk about this new Prince track. It's causing a stir between Prince fans. It's called Unbenunts to You. A lot of people say it's a I, but Mr. Christopher and I, and Michael Bland, and lots of other people think that it's the real deal. As Mr. Christopher said, there are handwritten lyrics that complement the song. He didn't play any of it. He didn't want to get me in trouble. And I can't blame him for all that he's gone through with Facebook, but I think I'll play like 10 seconds of it. Try to stay under the radar of the YouTube cops. I don't want the same thing to happen to me.

And Prince is the musical genius of our time. And I'm just thankful and grateful that I was able to live during his time. See this man perform live, experience, true genius at what he did. Anyway, I was talking about the newly released Prince track Unbeknownst to You. It's causing a stir between people in regards to whether it's actually Prince or AI. And I don't want to play the song in its entirety. It's only like a minute and forty-one seconds, but trying not to get into any trouble with the YouTube cops, the Facebook cops, so I'm only gonna give you like maybe ten or twenty seconds just to get you familiar with what we're talking about here. This is called Unbeknownst to You.

There are lyrics, handwritten lyrics by Prince that match the lyrics in this song, so I truly believe that's Prince. Have you guys heard this yet? Beautiful ones would sound good. You might have done that already. No, I haven't done that one already. I'll put that on the list and do that at another time.

He actually put together an AI version of this song. It's like a remix. And in the song he's talking about he says it's inspired by the recent as of writing this leak of an unreleased Prince track called Unbeknownst to You. I decided to remix it a little bit, add sections, create a cheeky verse directed at the Prince Estate, and give it a production style close to the 2010 era. Disclaimer. Vocals are AI generated in the style of Prince. This is a creative reinterpretation, not an authentic recording. So I think what he's done was take a stab at the estate about sitting on a lot of that uh unreleased music. He does call out uh this these are the uh some of the lyrics here. Uh I hope I don't get any trouble for this. I love Londale Mummel and he's doing his best to get us the music, but in this song, this this remix that this guy is done, uh the verse goes, Londale. Why you gotta tease us, brother? Can't you see everybody wants the vault unlocked? All you gotta do is provide the key. We get tired of being legally blocked. Prince's message is going unheard. We got every right to explore the purple underground. We will keep on making our voices heard unbeknownst to you. Wow. I'm sure a lot a lot of you guys feel that way. Um, but I'm gonna back out of it and just play the music, and you can just kinda uh get the gist of what this guy's trying to do.

I don't think I've ever seen it come down yeah you're right Janet was not mentioned and I think that was her choice for whatever reason it's too cold to go around at the cable yeah you didn't see uh Janet you didn't see I think the person that played LaToya appeared for like a second I don't think we saw Rebe if we did it was just for a second didn't see Randy all the keys brothers didn't get too much of the spotlight but basically what I took away from the movie is his separation from his dad as well as his brothers I called on one of my best friends there are a lot of things that they did leave out intentionally I think they actually shot scenes for a lot of the stuff she said that didn't make a cutting room floor you need to vote to never come up or was left on the cutting room floor rather like some of the allegation stuff I think they originally filmed some of that stuff but they decided for always trying to make a better world it was best to leave it out in the film maybe for legal reasons I'm not sure I know if you be my buttnerisms and the look was was spot on in my opinion speaking voice all that you want that you put the two birth but tonight we're here for a different reason back to better Stephanie Mills says Russell you said you might go to celebration are you going to general or single tickets also I tried to send Richard Cole a Facebook message and it failed to send I hope he's okay we haven't heard from him no you're absolutely right you be my you be my Richard Cole uh has been on the show quite a few times he's pretty well known in the Purple Circle as well he has his own podcast um called Amari Music Talk I I also noticed that Richard wasn't present on Facebook um I follow him on Instagram as well I'll try to reach out to him there and check on him to see if he's okay also everybody check on Tanya D. Harris she's big in the purple circle those of you who know Tanya her older sister pass so if you get a chance and you know Tanya please send your condolences her way.
