The first episode of The Y Factor features podcast namesake Pam Y. Paul and her daughter Pam D. Paul interviewed by United Way of Northeast Florida CEO Melanie Patz.
Pam Y. Paul is a trailblazing advocate and longtime supporter of United Way. Since moving to Jacksonville in 1959, Pam has dedicated her life to expanding opportunities for women, children, and families in the community. She was United Way’s first female board chair and went on to lead a record-breaking $14 million campaign. Her pioneering leadership — from co-founding Jacksonville’s first referral hotline to serving as the city’s Children’s Liaison — reflects her ongoing commitment to the region. Pam’s work demonstrates the power of service, leadership and lasting impact, inspiring generations of women leaders to follow in her footsteps.
Her daughter Pam D. Paul is a philanthropist and community advocate in her own right. She currently serves as the Executive Vice President for the Jacksonville Public Education Fund, working to close the opportunity gap for children in Duval County by building the capacity of educators and parents.
