Scattered Moments
Brief reflections on faith, adversity, and the quiet places where grace appears.
Each episode of Scattered Moments is a brief journey through the unexpected classrooms where God does His deepest work — hospital rooms and sanctuaries, seasons of grief and flashes of joy, the ordinary moments where grace shows up and changes everything.
Drawing from over forty years of writing, ministry, and life in the trenches, Matt Tullos weaves together original poetry, hymn stories, Scripture, and honest reflection to remind you that even adversity, you are not alone.
New episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Two men hang beside Jesus. Same cross. Same pain. Same moment. Two completely different responses.
One demands proof. The other pleads for hope. And in that desperate, dying plea, grace does what grace always does — it reaches further than anyone thought possible.
In this episode, Matt Tullos reflects on the second of the Seven Last Words of Jesus: "Today, you will be with me in paradise." A word spoken not to the religious, not to the deserving, not to those who had time to make things right — but to a thief at the end of everything.
No time. No resume. No offering.
Just a man turning his head toward Jesus and crying out.
If you've ever wondered whether grace could reach you — this is the episode to hear.
Lord, remind me today that your grace has no bottom and no edge. That it reached a dying thief on his worst day — and that it reaches me on mine. Help me turn my head toward you, just as he did, and trust that your answer will be the same. Today. Paradise. You. Amen.
Scattered Moments is a five-minute faith reflection releasing every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Find the grace hidden in ordinary moments. Take heart. Share the grace.
Today, you will be with me in paradise. Two thieves hang beside Jesus. Two choices are before them. One demands proof, the other pleads for hope. One looks to escape, the other looks to eternity. The cross of Christ demands a response. You see, hope is personal, very personal. We try to place it in people, but people fail us. We place it in our institutions, but they fade. We place it in possessions, but they slip through our fingers. Even our best words wilt in the heat of real suffering. Our hope is in the one who suffered next to us and says, Today you will be with me in paradise. This moment reveals the power of grace to reach anyone, even at the very end. Was there anything the thief could do?
unknownNothing.
SPEAKER_00He couldn't serve, he couldn't give, he couldn't make things right. He was at the end of his life. And the only thing left was to confess and to cry out to Jesus. And yet, even here, on the darkest day, Grace speaks. Grace ruled that moment. And grace still rules now. Today, you will be with me in paradise. There's another scattered moment waiting for you tomorrow. Take heart. Notice the scattered moments and share the grace.
