Scattered Moments
Brief reflections on faith, adversity, and the quiet places where grace appears.
Each episode of Scattered Moments is a brief journey through the unexpected classrooms where God does His deepest work — hospital rooms and sanctuaries, seasons of grief and flashes of joy, the ordinary moments where grace shows up and changes everything.
Drawing from over forty years of writing, ministry, and life in the trenches, Matt Tullos weaves together original poetry, hymn stories, Scripture, and honest reflection to remind you that even adversity, you are not alone.
Three Types of Episodes:

What happens when we stop focusing on our worries and simply behold the greatness of God?
In this guided meditation, we reflect on Psalm 145:5 and the splendor of God's glorious majesty. Together we'll slow our breathing, quiet our hearts, and lift our eyes beyond our concerns to worship the God whose glory fills the earth.
Featuring:
• Psalm 145:5
• Isaiah 6:3
• Psalm 19:1
• Revelation 5:12
• A reflection from A.W. Tozer
How to Use This Meditation:
Find a quiet place where you can sit comfortably and minimize distractions. If possible, use headphones. As you listen, focus on your breathing and allow the Scripture readings and reflections to draw your attention away from the demands of the day and toward the beauty and majesty of God. There is nothing you need to accomplish during these moments—simply rest in His presence.
Whether you're beginning your morning, taking a midday pause, or ending your evening, may this meditation help you rediscover the wonder of God's glory and the peace that comes from fixing your eyes on Him.
"I will speak of your splendor and glorious majesty and your wondrous works." — Psalm 145:5
Take care, Notice the Scattered Moments and share the grace.
Hello and welcome to another Scattered Moments Guided Meditation. I'm so happy that you're here and that you have decided to set aside a time in a quiet place to meditate, this time on the glory of the Lord. Psalm 145-5. I will speak of your splendor and glorious majesty and your wondrous works. Today, for a few minutes, we set aside the lists. We set aside the concerns, the unanswered questions, the prayer requests that we carry. Not because they are unimportant, but because for a moment we want to lift our eyes higher. Today we simply behold the glory of God. Take a slow, deep breath in and let it out gently. Again, breathe in the goodness of God and breathe out the concerns, the burdens that you have been carrying. One more time, breathe in his presence. Breathe out your need to control everything. The psalmist says, I will speak of your splendor and glorious majesty and your wondrous works. Notice those words as you hear them. Splendor, glorious majesty. We live much of our lives focused on ourselves, our schedules, our worries, our limitations. Yet Scripture repeatedly invites us to look up. The prophet Isaiah saw the Lord high and exalted, and heard the seraphim cry, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of armies. His glory fills the whole earth. Not part of the earth, not a few sacred places, his glory fills the whole earth. The sunrise bears witness. The oceans proclaim it. The stars whisper it. The laughter of children reflects it. The mercy of Christ reveals it. Take a moment and with your eyes closed, imagine standing beneath a clear light. Thousands of stars above you. The vastness reminding you that God is greater than your fears, greater than your concerns, greater than your limitations. A.W. Tozer once wrote, What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us. And so for a moment, don't think about what God can do for you. Just think about who He is. He is glorious. He is beautiful beyond description. He is holy without stain. He is powerful without effort. He is wise without error. He is loving without limit. And he has never once ceased being God. Let's listen to these words from Psalm 19 and spend a moment in reflection. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse proclaims the work of his hands. And from revelation, worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing. The glory of God stretches from creation to eternity, from the first sunrise in Genesis to the worship around the throne in Revelation. And somehow this glorious God knows your name. As you breathe quietly, release every concern into his hands. Not by naming them, not by analyzing them, just by remembering how great God is. The greater your vision of God, the smaller your fears will become. The brighter his glory shines, the less overwhelming your troubles appear. Meditate on his glory for a moment. Now take one final slow breath and simply rest in wonder. God is glorious, God is worthy, God is good, and God is here. A final prayer as we meditate. Lord, today we lift our eyes above ourselves and gaze upon your splendor and mercy. Remind us that you are greater than every burden, wiser than every question, and more beautiful than words can express. Fill our hearts with wonder. Teach us to delight in your glory and to walk through this day with the quiet confidence that comes from knowing you. Amen. This is another scattered moments meditation. Take care. Notice the scattered moments. Be blessed today as you share the grace.
