Today we're talking about holidays, unions, new beginnings, and maybe even some health care. You know we're gonna have some opinions about this one. Two divas, one red. Well, we're missing one of our divas today. Doris is away this week attending to a family matter, and we're thinking of her and her loved ones during this difficult time. Coming off a strong performance co-hosting our Canada Day special, Brian got to call up for the bullpen to pitch him once again. So for this episode, we're one diva, one dude, one rank. We'll celebrate a milestone with episode 10, double digits. So let's get rolling. Hey Brian, how are you today? What have you been up to?
SPEAKER_02Oh, you know me, Terry. I'm just living the dream, having the time of my life. I hunched the provincial baseball tournament in St. Paul this last weekend. I'm not in game shape for that, so my whole body is solar. Otherwise, I'm great. And who won? Uh uh, who won? Uh Edmonton Angels won both tournaments, the U-13 and the U-15 tournament. They beat Black Folds in the final of the U-15.
SPEAKER_01Bullet.
SPEAKER_02It's kind of blurry. I did I wasn't over to the 13s as much. I only did one game over there. I saw all the 15. Well, I've been umping not 10 years, but probably seven or eight. And then I started doing it more seriously three or four years ago, traveling around doing the provincial.
SPEAKER_01Nice. So why do you like do that?
SPEAKER_02Well, I just like baseball. I do hockey all winter, and I need a summer sport. And so since I was three years old, it's always been baseball.
SPEAKER_01How about our Belujays? They finally won a series. My gosh, they've been tanking.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's been a tough year. It's been a tough year. Injuries and flops. Baseball's a streaky sport.
SPEAKER_01This is a true story. Do you think um they're gonna make any big trades coming up?
SPEAKER_02I do.
SPEAKER_01You think even Gumsman's gone?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01Hoffman?
SPEAKER_02Yes. Yeah, I I get it. I mean, when you're supposed to be a closer and you close out the game, there's no more situation that matters than the ninth inning.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then guys get hit three score runs. Barland has been great at that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And since moving Hoffman back to the setup man or the seventh earth inning, he's been great. So it's been that bad. He's he's like his pitches are great.
SPEAKER_01But if we can get anything in return for him, a prospect or two from Philadelphia, they just say his name and they call him on a bullpen and they just groan. I'm like, oh here we go again.
SPEAKER_02Well, he had some amazing statistical anomaly at the start of the year, and he was like the unluckiest pitcher of all time. Yeah, like it's amazing. Like he the hits on weird pitches that were hit on with him, is like, how can you even hit that? Yeah, that happened to him. There.
SPEAKER_01Okay, well, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
SPEAKER_02Uh I try to give pro athletes as much a benefit of the doubt as I can. They're all good. Some of them they made it there.
SPEAKER_01Except, okay, so did you watch any of the FIFA stuff?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01Are you into FIFA?
SPEAKER_02Well, I'm into it once every four years.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Well, they should probably, you know, hand out some Oscars for that because some of the drama queens they're like, come on. And I think it's hard for me to accept because I watched the diving in hockey, and that you know, we're all over that, right? Horrible. And then these drama queens on the pitch, if you will.
SPEAKER_02Well, watching the soccer, I was calling it the it's a boy who calls wolf situation, a chronic wolf.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because 20 times in the game, they're rolling around on the pitch with nothing wrong with them. And then the one time a guy actually does get cleated up the back of his leg and he's bleeding. Yeah, I'm like, that get up. Yeah. Like, you're fine. Like, what's the matter with you? Did you see FIFA's big in the news today? No. Right now?
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_02Um, UEFA, who is the European governing body, has said that they're gonna boycott the World Cup over Infantino. He's the president of FIFA, wants to sell rights of the World Cup to private investors. And UEFA just said absolutely not, you're not doing that.
SPEAKER_01I didn't actually, you know, never really followed it too much, but I was surprised of the fans. And like they come for the whole 30 days, some of them. This is you must save up for four years, and then this is their big holiday, right?
SPEAKER_02I guess so. It must be because it does come at a pretty big cost, I think. Like the ticket prices were not cheap and flights, international flights.
SPEAKER_01But even watching some of the Blue Jake games, and you would see like a big, you know, three or four rows of these soccer fans there just giving her for baseball. And I'm like, oh my gosh, this is amazing.
SPEAKER_02The Scottish fans in Boston, the Japanese fans in Houston. Yeah, like you know, around these types of there was stuff was showing up on the social media for the whole tournament. That was also that was a good part of the tournament for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So I guess we have a reprieve now for another four years, so yeah, they can get their prepare.
SPEAKER_02I can watch hockey and baseball now.
SPEAKER_01Right. What's happening with me? Please. Oh, please.
SPEAKER_00Well, we go off on a tent in our ready. See, you're already on board. Yeah. We just go. We just go. Well, what is happening with you?
SPEAKER_02I gotta know.
SPEAKER_01You gotta know. Well, the huge, the huge uh Skatcheworth Rough Riders and uh Minton Elk uh Elkmoes, that's what I call them.
SPEAKER_02Oh you must have loved that 57-year-old film, bro. Ah yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that was not far.
SPEAKER_02That was so far the game of the year.
SPEAKER_01Oh, 100%. That was so it's gonna be interesting. They have back-to-back games, and obviously by the time our listeners hear us today, uh, we already know how things played out. So hopefully we'll get the win in Edmonton. Um Ryder, Ryder. Anyways, I hope we're in for another great matchup because that to me is what CFL football is all about. It was that game. That's that's what I like. And so all these rule changes and crap that's gonna come in next year, too. Like, I just uh I don't want any of that.
SPEAKER_02No, I watch the NFL and I enjoy it, but that's that's different. That's a different league, different than the CFL. There's always been the 110-yard game, the wide field, the high scoring.
SPEAKER_01Well, one Fitzgiard will hit the upgrades, though, and they're like, oh, that'll be part of it.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely, that's part of it. And the receiver running full speed into the upright. Like that always kills me. It happens once or twice a year, and it's like bing and like whoops, miss that one, buddy. Like, would have had an easy touchdown in the NFL, but instead your even turf. Yeah, you're like, that's great, that's part of the game to me.
SPEAKER_01And I agree.
SPEAKER_02But no, they're gonna take that away. And the running clock, that's gonna bug some CFL fans for sure.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02That's one thing I like about the NFL, actually, is that the clock keeps moving, like when the play stops and they stop the clock until they reset the ball and step out. Yeah, I'm always like, the game should be over, especially when the elks are winning. You know, for the last five seasons, they've been oh, and whatever. You want a little bit of more time at the end. But when they're ahead, it's like run that friggin'.
SPEAKER_01If I knew that you were gonna cheer for the elks as much as I'm I'm not sure I would have invited you to episode 10.
SPEAKER_02Listen, that's the price you pay for being uh born and bred in northern Alberta being called up. You have to cheer for the Oilers, you have to cheer for the Elks. You can pick your poison in the other leagues.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, where is Calgary Flames going there?
SPEAKER_02That's a southern Red Deer. Oh, yeah. Like if you're if you were born in Red Deer and can make a choice.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's the only people.
SPEAKER_02Otherwise, you're north of Red Deer, you're an Oiler fan, south of Red Deer, you're a Calgary fan.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh, that's funny. So uh for those who may or may not disagree, feel free to email us at 2divas1rat at gmail.com. Um, or please comment on our Facebook, Instagram, and uh let us know what you think of uh choices and where you're born, geographical area cheering. That's listen. Listen what it is. Okay, whatever.
SPEAKER_02That's exactly what it is.
SPEAKER_01All I have to say is go rider.
SPEAKER_02Are you also a New York Islanders fan? No. That was a big Saskatchewan thing when I was a kid.
SPEAKER_01No. No, I've always been MJ Islanders. Okay, that's even when I lived in Calgary for 20 years.
SPEAKER_02Good for you.
SPEAKER_01Always MJ.
SPEAKER_03Well, I mean, you capture Calgary.
SPEAKER_01Well, you you can with a hood on or a bag over your head like the Alchamos did a few years ago.
SPEAKER_02Even when Calgary was in the Stanley Cup final against Tampa, it was like, you know, the country's getting behind you, like the Orlando fans, absolutely not. Yep. Same thing with Vancouver versus Vancouver versus Boston, too. It was like return for the Connecticut. No.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02No, no, I'm not. Won't do it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, the other thing I was uh been trying to do this week is navigate the online passport portal. Yeah, I need to renew my passport just in case, you know, I get it called up and I gotta go somewhere.
SPEAKER_02That's true.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I got a 10-year the last time, so it should be good.
SPEAKER_01I did as well, but it's over. It's over? Yeah, that joy is over. So yeah, and the joys of having a rural address with a box number. Yeah, you can enter it all in, but it keeps bringing back an error saying, Yeah, you don't actually live there. So it's like, oh, that's great. That's great. So now I put in a help desk ticket and now I'm waiting.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and you're not the only person with a rural address in the country having to get a password.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I guess we just sit and wait and thank goodness I'm not in a hurry.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's um yeah.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So whatever, stay tuned for how that all pans out.
SPEAKER_02They'll get a million complaints.
SPEAKER_01Because they opened it up too. So they as of uh just a couple days ago, so once you hear this, probably five days ago, they changed the rules. So when you logged in before, they only take 1,500 online applicants per day.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01And then so if you're under that, like if you're over that, a message comes up and says, Oh, not today, try it again tomorrow. I see, right? I see. So then I got up early and I tried it, but then they changed it. As of five days ago, there is no cap on it now. It's a just a free throw. So now I'm not even competing against 1500 people, 1499. Right.
SPEAKER_02Now it's everyone. Now it's everyone, and you're not even technically in there yet because it doesn't have your error coding back.
SPEAKER_01No, so you go and you put in this help desk ticket and it says, Oh, what's your number? I'm like, Well, it wouldn't let me get to create a number. I'm only in the right.
SPEAKER_02I just that gets no pressure out of it. So I guess I'm not traveling.
SPEAKER_01What if you got the call? You'd have to go and do a Blue Jays game in the States. You'd have to.
SPEAKER_02You'd you'd need to track it. I still have it for a few more years. My passport's still good. But if I have to come to that point, well, I'll be an old man by then when I'm dealing with it, be pushing 50 and won't even know how to use the damn thing.
SPEAKER_0150 is not old, Brian. Wow. 50 is the new 30. I just want you to know that.
SPEAKER_02This is what they claim in the new modern world with all the health. Well, I'm in my early 40s and I feel like I'm 107.
SPEAKER_01So I'm in my early 50s, I feel 30.
SPEAKER_02Good for you. So I'm happy to hear.
SPEAKER_01Maybe in my brain, my body is not working. It's not following the program. What do you got there? What's new?
SPEAKER_02Oh, the baker perspective. It is Heritage Day Monday long weekend declared in 1974 by the government of Alberta to highlight multiculturalism and local history. Not to be mistaken for Alberta Day, which is on September 1st. What is your favorite holiday?
SPEAKER_01I like them all. When I don't have to go to work on a Monday, I don't like it. But really, I don't know what my favorite holiday would be. They all have something, right? Like Christmas, obviously, Christmas is in turn. Valentine's Day is in spring. It's nice to have those extra Mondays in you know summer where we're supposed to have good weather and we can enjoy it, but Mother Nature has decided that ugly this year. Do know how to swim. Right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Not for rain. You get a little smoke in the face.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_02But that's nice.
SPEAKER_01What's your favorite holiday?
SPEAKER_02Well, as a child for sure it was Christmas. And it, I mean, it probably still is Christmas now, but I do have fond memories of May long weekend, and I've had fond memories of August long weekend. Maylong through the, you know, May Long first time you were hitting the lake, COVID trapped for the start of summer, kind of the unofficial start of the summer. And the comedy of May Long was it always poured rain. Sometimes it snowed when we were the start of the summer, and we're tapping in two inches of snow that just fell on our heads. Had a great time. Oh, but it's fun. Oh yeah, just an absolute blast.
SPEAKER_01I find though, as I'm aging, I like the perks of indoor bathrooms.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I like the fact that somebody else makes the fire and keeps it going. You know, but I still like smokies on the fire and you know, smaller, you know, those things.
SPEAKER_02I'm not as much of the family capper. I I like to certainly like the comfort of a home bed and furnace running when it's cold outside. I don't really love staying in an tent.
SPEAKER_01No, we upgraded our trailer a couple years ago and it's like nicer than the house that I live in here.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So it when people say, Oh, are you out at the lot? I'm like, oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we're loving it.
SPEAKER_01It's got air conditioning and I got my bed.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02I still go once a year. I go fishing with my high school friends.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But it's we're rough enough.
SPEAKER_00We're rough enough.
SPEAKER_02We give like tanks.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But we stop and get a thousand dollars and you know, everything, and just absolutely gorge ourselves for the four or five days we're out there. But this we're never comfortable sometimes.
SPEAKER_01No. Sometimes you're almost better like, do I go sleep in the car? Because at least I know the the seat goes back, right?
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I'm gonna be dry.
SPEAKER_02And sometimes you wake up in the morning and your air mattress is all the way down and you're sleeping on some rocks. That's the truth. Yeah, right. Yeah. Good time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Or there's that thin layer of water that has seeped into your tent. Yeah. Because maybe you didn't have the incline. Yeah. There.
SPEAKER_02New gym opening out point.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Optimal wellness.
SPEAKER_02Optimal wellness? That's exciting. I haven't been in there yet, but I'm gonna go. I thought I'd try to get into some better shape.
SPEAKER_01I think I've passed that point. I'm just uh I've just decided to change my attitude. I was like, who needs to be thin? Like honestly, I don't expect to be thin.
SPEAKER_02I just don't want my heart to burst out of my chest.
SPEAKER_01Again, it's a heart. Well, it's gonna do what the heart's gonna do.
SPEAKER_02Well, good for you, Optimal Wellness. We're looking forward to you. I hope you're a big success.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I want to go in there too, because apparently they've installed a community board. So again, we have a community board over by the post office. Guardian Drugs has a community board there. Optimal wellness is gonna have a community board. So go ahead and uh put up your info. So for all those negative nellys in this town that say, I don't know what's happening. There's nothing to do. Go look at the community boards. You're gonna find a lot of things to do.
SPEAKER_02There's a new doctor starting in town, starting in August at the new Outpoint Medical Clinic.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Dr. Sarita? Did I say that right? Soreta or Sarita? How's it spelled? S-E-R-E-D.
SPEAKER_02Saretta.
SPEAKER_01Sareta.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. She'll be she's local.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Perfect. Awesome.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I went to school with Dean Saretta, who would be probably your brother.
SPEAKER_01Nice. So that's exciting. Starts in August.
SPEAKER_02Very, very good. And the new town at Outpoint, CAO, Jay Parent, is starting. She has seven years of experience as a CAO. She comes from the village of Clyde. She's their local, or she has her certified local government manager designation. She's also a travel agent with Escape Journeys, and she has previous experience as the Moorneville Chamber of Commerce Manager. We're looking forward to her start in September.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, that should be good.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Another new start. It's it's unfortunate that we got to start all over again, but um hopefully her and the town can start uh moving forward and progressing, and we can uh have a better output.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. I'm hoping for the best. I only got to meet our previous CAO two times, and he seemed like such a great dude. And he had big ideas for my arena. And yeah, and then an escape park, and he was an arborist.
SPEAKER_01Communities in bloom is coming up here next month.
SPEAKER_02So one of his big ideas was spraying my roof at the arena, and it's happening today as we speak.
SPEAKER_01Spraying it with what?
SPEAKER_02Well, the roof the roof leaked for the last number of years. Yeah, and really what big deal? Yeah, except for the you're in an arena. The drop ceiling tiles, though, started to turn yellow, they started to get soft, they started to fall out. Yeah, it started to be a hair unsightly. So, and some of my volunteers did some awesome stuff up there. Like they we spent every summer, we did some stuff, we used every product you could buy trying to, but it's just father time is undefeated. The stuff is chipping away, and water is the worst thing in the world. It finds the path of least resistance.
SPEAKER_01And we've had no water this year.
SPEAKER_02No, none. None, none. Well, the water, like the rain, the least of my worries, in the wintertime it ice damp and it freeze, freeze thaws, and you get these giant chunks of ice in there, and then it pools like uh igloo underneath all the snow that falls off the high peak roof, falls onto the flat, creates this igloo effect, and then as I'm shoving snow away, you just find a foot of water. That water obviously leaks into the building. Oh surely the insulation up there is all soaking wet. No, no, I'm sure it insulates nothing. So the first problem is to seal off the top. Right. We get the top sealed, and that was um that was his idea was to do that. Awesome. You know, come with the both over there, and then we will fix up the inside.
SPEAKER_01Nice. Well, that only makes sense. There's no sense doing the inside if the outside is gonna continue to be the issue. Absolutely. The main issue.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the bigger issue. So that's happening. Excellent. Yeah, very good.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's good. Maybe we want to talk about a rant.
SPEAKER_02Please do.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So by the time our listeners hear this, we'll know if we're what side of the West Jet strike we're on. They gave notice a few days ago. So just another summer with a different player threatening service disruptions at the peak of travel season to leverage better wage and benefits. I want to get it. But I I I don't.
SPEAKER_02That's if you're gonna strike, that's the time to do it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, but I so maybe that's my issue. Maybe my issue is even bigger. Maybe it's with unions. You know, I understand the reasoning for unions, but do they actually solve the issue or what do you think? What do you what's your take on unions for this opening a big can of pop ass?
SPEAKER_02I don't want to get too I don't want to get too into unions. That's what I mean. That's a major issue that has been going on for years and years and years. I do think that people in general, yeah, at every job that they do are good at their job. I got a 90% rule. Nine out of ten people are good at their job and they try real hard. Yeah, whether they're nurses, teachers, doctors, flight attendants, pilots. Okay. It's all good. 10% of you suck. The 10% of you that are listening to this are straight at what you do.
SPEAKER_00Just unions. I think there's 10% in non-unions, 100%. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02There's 10% of police officers and firefighters that suck, and it shows up in the media occasionally when they do. It's like, oh wait, this is a bad cop.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It sucks. Bad firefighter didn't put the fire out.
SPEAKER_01Bad hairdresser.
SPEAKER_02Bad hairdresser. I don't that's a woman's issue because for me it's just like done.
SPEAKER_01Like there's not no union for the hairdresser.
SPEAKER_02Oh, well, but maybe there should be. I'm not I'm not offended by it. That everybody, but you charge what you want.
SPEAKER_01Like, oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know, that's if you're gonna pay something is worth what somebody will pay. So if the hairdresser, if it costs you $500 to get your hair cut, if you're willing to pay that, fire away. It cost me $15 or $20 from the Moroccan dude in St. Paul. Zing, zing, zing, zing, zing, zing, zing. He says, Thank you very much. I say thank you. Have a pleasant evening. He made $15 in five minutes. My hair is cut. That's business.
SPEAKER_01I think that brings us to a whole nother rant, probably for another day about gender uh charging.
SPEAKER_02Well, sure, that's a whole other business.
SPEAKER_01Why are my razor blades $20 and your razor blades are only seven?
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Not fair.
SPEAKER_02Have you heard of the pink tax?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_02Like I heard it's actually with the color, with children's children's clothes. Like if you go into Walmart and you go to the boys' clone, I don't know because I don't have kids, but I have heard about this. Yeah the supposed pink tax.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Which I think is pure comedy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, true socks for my husband. Are like $7.99. Bruce for me are like $12.99. Doesn't make any sense. Anyways, that's another thing. Yeah. So I hope WestJet doesn't go exp. I do think that you should get paid for the work that you're doing. And you know, we all come into work and probably have that 15-20 minutes on either end of our shift. Uh, we don't get paid for that, we do extra work. But I think they're putting their hands up and saying, well, this is hours of unpaid work that we're doing that's expected of us. So I get it. Fair paying for fair work. You know, what could you strike in the winter? Well, that's just as bad, too, because some of us want to get cone out of this place. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02I I can never leave in the winter because I'll be flooding the ice. But no, I get it. Like, yeah. I strike it anytime sticks.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I also um I will support the people every time over the corporation. WestJet.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Come on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know, like I'm not, I'm not gonna sit here and be like, I love Westjet. Like, no, this is not a Westjet commercial. You're not gonna get that out of you.
SPEAKER_01No, no.
SPEAKER_02WestJet's flights are mediocre at best. I think it's not spirit, but it's not good.
SPEAKER_01I think they all suck. Like Air Canada, Westjet, Sunling. They're all well, WestJet is Sunling, but I've heard good things about Porter, though.
SPEAKER_02I've never been on a Fort Jet.
SPEAKER_01I have not either. But but I guess it is what's you know, flying and vacations. It is a perk. It's not a want, not a need. So maybe you should have to pay extra, but yeah, I don't know. Striking just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me to get your point across. But I maybe it does. Does it get the point across? Is there a different way we could do it? Or no, because that's how unions are set up.
SPEAKER_02That's yeah, I mean, I wish there was another way. I wish that you know, kids didn't have to be out of school during a teacher strike. I wish I wish that flights weren't canceled because there was no flight attendance. You know, like my niece is supposed to go to Prince Edward Island and serve my own drink. I could too.
SPEAKER_01I mean maybe And now they don't even do the the the seatbelt thing now. No, it's just a pre-recording.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's that goes right to Tommy Boy. If you don't know how to put your seat together, like I'm gonna have Tommy come down and get you and have an attack hammer because you're a retard.
SPEAKER_00Don't say that word, Dorothy.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, pardon me.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's just because it's a direct quote.
SPEAKER_02Well, look, it was from a different time, all right? In the 90s, you could get away with saying stuff like this. Well, that's a true story.
SPEAKER_01You can go away with a lot of things in the 90s compared to now. Yeah. Well, now we're gonna have the pink tax, the purple tax, the green tax work.
SPEAKER_02Tax, tax, tax.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Hopefully those unions will uh get their poop in a group and come to a a de uh an agreement, I guess. So and I I think it's also where you live in Canada determines how great the or how influential the labor unions are. I think there's some provinces that are way more labor intensified than I believe that is the case.
SPEAKER_02I'm not as familiar enough with it to have a strong opinion either way, but yes, that is my understanding that I think out east is more in forward, right?
SPEAKER_01Like yeah, and I so I did work for um company before coming here, and it was very interesting because we had drivers that worked for the company, so company drivers, and then we had the same drivers doing the same work that were teamsters. You want to talk about a union, teamsters, like those are the don't cross us, we'll put you in the cement kind of people. Yeah, so it I think And you watch The Irishman? Yes, I have actually. Yeah, I quite enjoyed it.
SPEAKER_02Jimmy Offa is in the Meadowlands for sure. There's a few people that's the cement books. Yeah, go watch the football and see Jimmy Offa, right?
SPEAKER_01Just like there's probably a few people in that. What is it, Lake Mead out out by Vegas? Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, there's probably a few people. Lake Mead is down to like 10% right now, so they're gonna find a whole bunch of bars. Just thinking that floating in the lake.
SPEAKER_01That's not Rover's bone.
SPEAKER_02It's like a size of a femur by God.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. Do you want to dive in to talk about two-tiered health care system, or do we want to go and talk about uh MLAs?
SPEAKER_02Listen, I'm easy. Uh talk about anything you like.
SPEAKER_01Two-tiered health care system. Well, that's what I call it, but maybe not. It's a self-referral and paying for your needed tests that have come into play as of last Friday. You're gonna self-refer. I don't know. I I just don't get my head around how they think it's gonna help with the lines and the cues. So does it matter whether you have a doctor referral or you self-referral? I think you're gonna now put more people in the queue waiting, right? I understand that they're gonna prioritize doctor referrals first, but I don't understand how they think that that's gonna stop the queue of getting surgeries and stuff done. I think it's gonna add to it, look, won't it?
SPEAKER_02I assume so, yes. Uh like I don't understand it. I don't, I really do not understand this two-tiered system. I need to read up on it a little more. I am not a doctor. I cannot refer my medical problems. I can't do that. I my back hurts. I need the doctor to tell me why. Yeah, twisted my knee.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02What's the self-referral? My knee, I twisted my knee. That's what I write on the self-referral. I don't get it.
SPEAKER_01Well, but but here's the thing if you want to do the self-referral and you want to pay for it, so let's use your knee as an example. Okay. So you've got two options. You go to the doctor and you say, Hey, doctor, my knee hurts. And he says, Okay, you should have an MRI on that. I'll send you for it. Your MRI is gonna take up to two years to get it done. Right, of course, right? Or you could say, Okay, doctor, I have my knee. And he's like, Okay, I'll put you in the queue. But in the meantime, you go and get your MRI and you pay a thousand dollars for it.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01Okay, great. You come back to the doctor and say, I've got my MRI, and he's like, Okay, we'll send it to the specialist. You're still gonna sit and wait.
SPEAKER_02Right. Now I just know I know now for sure. I tore my MCL now, is all I know because I got the in, but I'm still waiting for the surgery. And so now and I've paid, and I'm out a thousand dollars. Yeah, I really hate that.
SPEAKER_01Right? So I don't know. I'm sure there's a lot more to it than than what they're saying, but I just don't understand how it's going to make a lot of sense. And I don't know how they are going to decide. So MRI guy. Now we're gonna open up, somebody's gonna come and invest in Alberta, and he's gonna open up, he or she is gonna open up an MRI clinic. Okay, I think that's what they're hoping is that now it's more accessible. This is open, more people come and create a business here, right? Who's gonna decide the doctor referral gets first dibs versus your self-referral? Like, who's gonna monitor that? Who's gonna decide? The government's gonna come down and say, Okay, uh Joe, you uh this is your great thanks for opening up an MRI clinic, and I see you did 1,200, but out of those 1,200, only 200 were doctored ones. Like, so what? Does he get a fine? Does he get a slap on the hand and oh I'll do better next month?
SPEAKER_00Or does it even matter?
SPEAKER_01Or does it even matter? Yeah, I don't know. I just don't think the right people are gonna get the right care in a proper time. Or I guess it's going to force people, but I don't think it changes that. I don't think it's going to force people to go pay out of their own pocket and then go and do what they need to do. People are doing that now, if they can. Yeah, if they can afford to, or or they're getting another credit card to go and get a thirty thousand dollar hip done or twenty thousand dollar knee or whatever.
SPEAKER_02Mexico or they go to Turkey to get new hair, or they go to Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01John Cla got that. Did you see that the other day? Absolutely. He just like followed and got his head shaped because he's getting new hair plugged. Yeah, just like his second or third treatment.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I believe that's true.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, sir, I don't grab it.
SPEAKER_02That's okay.
SPEAKER_01We had to throw something wrestling in there. Absolutely. But we can't do it.
SPEAKER_02Any bald guy, though. I think the Turkish hair transplant is a thing these days. Like every some major celebrity has a full dead hair that didn't have one two years ago. Yeah, boobs, I think, is Brazil. Or is Brazil butt, maybe.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I think it's butt.
SPEAKER_02Okay, yeah. Where do you go for boobs then?
SPEAKER_01Well, probably just down to your local fair.
SPEAKER_02I guess everybody can do that. That's whole hat. They've been doing that since the 80s. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01You could probably get it ordered on Amazon now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's the big deal. Silicon's cheap, cheap, cheap.
SPEAKER_01Just insert here.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no problem. Pick your size.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_02Too funny.
SPEAKER_01Do you ever watch any of those botched shows?
SPEAKER_02Not anymore.
SPEAKER_01I did when it was brand new and it blows my mind what people have done to themselves, what they've allowed to be.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it plastic surgery in general is not for me. I I like when people age gracefully.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And obviously there's times for it and there's needs for it. Well, if you were in an accident or a fire, right?
SPEAKER_02A plastic surgeon is important.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Of course. Like, but just to have the biggest lips in Texas, I don't I nope, can't get my head around it.
SPEAKER_02No chance. No.
SPEAKER_01And how do people find that attractive? Well, it's not.
SPEAKER_02It's it's not.
SPEAKER_01It's uh obviously there's somebody out there that thinks it's okay.
SPEAKER_02It's a body dysmorphia issue of some kind. They're already like what really bothers me is when you're already beautiful.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like it's one thing, you know, like it's the old nose job, the old when I was a kid, the 80s nose job. Well, you had the giant nose, you got it trunk down. Yeah. Fine. Like, I could even get behind that, especially if it's a personal thing for you. Like you have your own self-conscious issues about it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Change it, fix it, fine. But you're already one of the top 50 most beautiful women in the world. You're aging gracefully. I don't have a good example off the top of my head.
SPEAKER_01But the dirty dancing girl, Jennifer Gray.
SPEAKER_02Oh, but well, yet she, Jennifer Jason Lee. No, that's not correct. That's a different girl.
SPEAKER_01Got the nose done and just totally changed her whole first the nose. Yes. Lynette's Elliot Girl, too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she's different.
SPEAKER_01Changed like if you go back in the pictures. Yeah, and she was a pretty girl.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, she's nice looking.
SPEAKER_01And men too. Men do men get them.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. The the eyes is zero, right? And their eyes kind of get like pulled back or something like that. Like, don't don't do that to yourself. You don't see that in the Lakeland all that often. There's probably one or two women.
SPEAKER_01You know what we see in the Lakeland? Those big ass fake eyelashes. And and I like fake eyelashes to a degree because I have none, and so it looks like ridiculous. And I don't do my makeup anymore. But there's one I was not actually. This was a couple of years ago. And this lady, I think I was working the booth, and this lady walked up and says all I could do to not smoke. Because I'm like, do you not look at yourself in the mirror, lady? Like these were like, I don't know, they had to have been an inch and a half. Oh, yeah. And they were like, yeah, ridiculous.
SPEAKER_02Insane. Do you see lots of strange stuff with the hockey buns that come from out of town? Like, yeah, El Point Arena is famously cold, and everybody from around here knows that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02If we have a tournament, it's always teams from the city. Fort Saskatchewan, Sherlock, Barkstone. But no, they they're coming from their building cost $20 million to build two years ago. They're sweating in the bleachers. Like here, they come in their little leather jacket and their tight pants, and then they're just like their teeth are just chattering up there. And then complain to me as if as if the building wasn't built in the 70s. You know, like building's 10 years older than I am. Like, what is there's no insulation? Can you see the giant brick wall in the ice dripping off of the roof? Like it's gonna be cold.
SPEAKER_01Like, oh my gosh, that's hilarious. Yeah, you just see them chattering. Yep. Yeah. Now your Gucci's helping you now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But I'm happy you dressed up so nice.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But please wear a nice warm jacket when you come back with home.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I grew up in an arena too, figure skating and stuff like that. We had a figure skating arena on one side, and then adjoining us was the hockey arena on that side. We were very lucky in Saskatchewan. Gucci, where are bigger heels? I don't know, but you look ridiculous. You're in a ring for house.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Anyways. Okay, I guess we're at the community call-out portion. A lot. Yeah, so big shout out to Caitlin Bush for a great three years of being the town of Elk Point recreation coordinator. I guess she's done. She's done? She's done. Oh, but Friday was her last day. Is that right?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I thought she did a great job, but I know I've heard she's starting her own business in Bonnieville.
SPEAKER_01Well, she does have bushels of fun. And uh it's always been expanding. And I think you know that's her first love. She's also on uh Bonnieville SPCA. Yeah. Um, where I got my dog from. Just saying. Um so yeah, she is an amazing lady, and she will continue to do amazing things. But hopefully, we will see her out there for sure.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely, I agree. She was great. Yeah, good job, please. Uh Lakeland today voting is on the 2026 Lakeland Best. Your last day to get your vote in is tonight at 11:59 p.m. It's quite a few local businesses, and we encourage you all to get online and vote. Go to our Facebook or Instagram and find the link.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so um Magic Pizza has won best pizza in the Lakeland for what the last two years running? Well, of course. Yeah, of course, exactly.
SPEAKER_02Been the best pizza in Lakeland for the last 20. Derwent uh is strong. Yeah, strong, strong.
SPEAKER_01But do they consider Derwent part of the Lakeland? Because I don't think I saw Derwent on the list.
SPEAKER_02Okay, well, maybe not. Well, maybe not, because it is in the county to the south of us, technically. So if it's just St. Paul County, then they're out.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's St. Paul, Barneville, Cold Lake, uh, and El Point. Those are the ones that I saw on the list. But yeah, anyways, doesn't matter. Get out there and vote local.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, those communities, Georgia's is the best.
SPEAKER_01So on that list for different things. So there's voting for like best cafe, best pizza, best wings, best lounge, best golf course, best event. So I'm saying get out there and vote for Canada Day. That was the event for Elk Point. Uh, you've got Wally's Pub on there, got Taste Buds, uh, Magic Pizza, Back Road 86, uh, Elk Point Cafe, got Naughty Boys for Best Customer Service, I think it is. Oh, yeah. Um, Elk Point Golf Course, Guardian Drugs uh is on there. I know oh White Owl Wellness was on there side of the list. So yeah, I'm sure I'm missing a few, but get out there and uh vote because we would like to see our local businesses be recognized in that way.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. August 22nd, the second chance trail rides, eighth annual Tom's Tournament of Hope Golf Tournament. We'll be at the Cardiff Golf and Country Club in Sturgeon County. Good people, friends of mine, the second chance trail ride people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, sign up your team, there's still spots available.
SPEAKER_02Still spots available out in Cardiff, yeah. Yeah, it's a nice drive out to Sturgeon.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I've heard they're, you know, with all the rain, we weren't totally sure what was happening with a lot of the clubs, uh, golf courses out there. I saw even Redwater had an announcement today that walk-ons only and then carts after 3 p.m. So they're really trying to mitigate all this water, right? For these courses, and they're all doing a really good job. So excellent. August 5th to 9th, the Vegarville Fair and Alberta professional check wagons. This is exciting. It's totally fair season, right?
SPEAKER_02Vermillion fair just happened. Vegerville just had, was it a couple weeks ago or is it a month ago now? They got that Renfair thing. Oh, yeah, the Renaissance like medieval times.
SPEAKER_01Have you ever been?
SPEAKER_02I've never been. I actually seen a bunch of pictures of it this year. I showed you a picture of my buddy, a good friend of mine from the city, is an EMT. He's got a cool job. He hardly works during the week, but on the weekend, he's the EMT at these kind of events. Oh, fun. So it'll be like one weekend he's going to the car races. One weekend he's at the Chuck Wagon races in the rodeo. One weekend he's at the Renaissance fair, and he's fixing guys got a sword wound in the head. Like they actually have a medieval battle. I mean, jousting. You can you can kill a man with a joust. Okay, you ride a you ride a horse at full speed and knock a guy off with a big spear. That's dangerous.
SPEAKER_01Well, maybe we should implement that for Calendate next year. But let's up the pillow fight thing.
SPEAKER_02The cowboy guy's got a pretty strong uh advantage there. Yeah. But the Vegerville fair will be more a regular fair of parade, midway.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, there's yeah, parade, midway, probably, rolls, all of that. I was um actually interested, part of I don't know if you've watched the Young Farts on Amazon Prime. So they're two brothers and their family. They own uh Young Farts RV parts in Vegraville, and they have a six-episode series on Amazon, and uh the mayor's in there for a couple of episodes, and um it's and and they were talking about the fair on one of them, and they put a parade uh float in, and they also opened up the haunted height. I guess when they were growing up, when these kids were younger, their family would do this haunted house out at their out at their house, sure, which was I guess from the country or something. Um, and it just built and built and built where they were getting like 4,000 people. I'm like and yeah, so, anyways, they decided that they're gonna buy this building across from Young Farts and turn it into Haunted Hike that's open on Fridays and Saturdays in the month of October. Oh, that's so for 20 bucks you can go into 18 different roomed themed rooms, um, you know, get your jump scare on and uh yeah. Oh, that'd be lots of fun. Yeah, so maybe we'll have to do a road trip or something for that this year. That's great.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, outstounning. What else? August 8th, Glendon's Demolition Derby and Mud Dog and Mud Dogs, all of their fun.
SPEAKER_01This is never a bad day, even in crappy weather.
SPEAKER_02Oh, crappy.
SPEAKER_01It is a great day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, the muddier, the boggier, the better for uh demolition derby.
SPEAKER_01Maybe this rainy season will be good for them. The one time I went, it was like plus a gazillion thirty. And it was it was too bad. Yeah, I don't do heat at the best of time, but yeah, can't go wrong on that.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's a fun time.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_02Also on the 8th, the outpoint bumper to bumper appreciation day and car show from 11 to 3 p.m.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think that's new too.
SPEAKER_02I think it's new too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because I'm like, that's our bumper. And I had to read the article again. Yeah, it's right here now fun. So check it out. Go and get a free hot dog or burger or whatever they're dishing up there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, check out some fancy old cars.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, hopefully we'll see some, you know, we'll see the regular cars there, I'm sure, but Case Bud restaurant. This is um it's not closing this summer. Oh usually they take a month off, if not two, right? Yes, so yeah, there's they're staying open.
SPEAKER_02So it's always a summer month because they travel historically they don't come back home. Yeah, so this year they're gonna stay open. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01What what's your favorite dish there? Special Chow Main. Oh, special chow main kind of guy.
SPEAKER_02I also like the sweet and sour boneless pork.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_02I also like a classic egg roll. I also like the spring rolls, I also like the wontons too.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, wontons.
SPEAKER_02I also like the ginger meat, I also like the orange chicken, I also like the green onion cakes.
SPEAKER_01It's like in there a couple of times or so.
SPEAKER_02I've ate at the Taste Buds restaurant as many times as anyone on earth. Okay. I've gone through every owner in the history of it.
SPEAKER_01A million-dollar question, please. Is it as good or better than the last owner's?
SPEAKER_02Uh, I'm gonna be 100% honest.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02It hasn't changed since the first time I ate it. The food, the flavor is in the wok or it's in the grill.
SPEAKER_01It's in the wok.
SPEAKER_02It is, it is because the rice. Okay, I'll hear you up. The rice tasted a certain way in 1991. Yeah. That's how the rice tastes in 2026. The wok.
SPEAKER_00It's maybe they're onto something.
SPEAKER_02I'm telling you, there's been six different Chinese families that have owned that thing since I was 10 years old. I remember hopes, I remember goose, I remember I went to school with a number of these people. The food never changed once. So their supplier hasn't changed, but it is amazing.
SPEAKER_01You know, there's something to be said for that. I like consistency. I like to know what I'm getting.
SPEAKER_02You'll know when you order from taste buds.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02If you b if you had it 20 years ago, it tastes just that good right now. If you had it 40 years ago, in fact, it tastes just that good right now.
SPEAKER_01I do like the war wonton soup and the sweet and sour. I'm a deluxe combo.
SPEAKER_02Deluxe bee?
SPEAKER_01And I would always go with the war wonton, not the spring rolls. Although I do like spring rolls, but I like Vietnamese salad rolls better, which I know we're mixing and matching there, but yeah. I cannot bring myself to do bubble tea. It's like eyeball soup. I can't do it. I see these young girls walking down the street with their bubble tea.
SPEAKER_02Can't do it. I don't even like tea. So I don't want bubbles in it. That's that's not like bulba tea or something, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But there is that, whatever those weird balls are in the bottom.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they're eyeballs. That's what I think. They're not, but yeah, they're just jellycin ball things, but I can't do it. Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Some of the tapioca pudding. No, yeah, those are littler balls. They're all eyeballs.
SPEAKER_02I'll eat pudding, it's fine. But the the yeah, I don't like tea enough. Like I'm happy that our little new coffee shop is doing very it seems to be doing excellently, and uh everybody is stopping it. I don't drink coffee and I don't drink tea.
SPEAKER_03So I've been they have other things.
SPEAKER_02I know. I went in there once to say hi to my old friend Natalie. It was like, hey dad, happy to see you. I hope your business does well. I don't drink coffee or tea. You'll get my two dollars for this montage drink that you made me. But please are wishing you all.
SPEAKER_01They have those snows now at the coffee shop.
SPEAKER_02I know it's ultra popular. Everybody rains it all the place.
SPEAKER_01Oh, the food is good too. Yeah, yeah. That Lisa is amazing. Anyways, we got the best restaurants.
SPEAKER_02We do, period.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01And have and we have quite a quite a lot of them. That you know, per capita. I think we have a lot of restaurants, a lot of liquor stores, and a lot of trucks, truck washes per capita. Yeah, can't go wrong.
SPEAKER_02Can't go wrong, you need all those things. We got a lot of trucks, you got a lot of places to wash them. Yeah. A lot of hungry people, you need places to eat.
SPEAKER_01Well, you need to have that wobbly pop at the end of the day.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01So it's a win-win. I don't know why more people aren't living here.
SPEAKER_02It's a win-win-win.
SPEAKER_01For those of you interested in moving, you should come down point because per capita, we have some really great things.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, great restaurants.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and we have quite a lot of realtors too. So, you know, we can hook you up with a new house. Uh, August 15th from one to nine is a hot summer. I don't know. Yeah, sorry, I digress. Hot summer carnival of market in Moorneville, food, games, beer gardens, and they have a ninja warrior course. Like, obviously, I'd pass that because I'm no longer in my prime, according to you, because 50's old.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'm I haven't been in my prime in 25 years either. I'm long past long.
SPEAKER_01But I'd love to watch that. I love watching Ninja Warrior core. I love it. It amazes me.
SPEAKER_02When I was 18 or 19 years old, I would have absolutely loved it on there. I don't, those guys were pretty phenomenal athletes, the strong upper body. It's a lot of the like the yeah, the hanging and stuff. The hanging stuff that would have killed me even then. Yeah. But I would have been willing to try it. Today, it would have been the very first, like the little running thing. I would just be my face would have kissed off of that thing. I'd be right into the water immediately. That was a wipeout. And I know that. Like, you know, when I was 19 years old, I would have spin, sping, sping, I would have run over that like nothing.
SPEAKER_01But today's old salmon ladder. Again on August 15th starts at 8:30 in the morning. If you find yourself out in the boat, you could go to Manville Agricultural Days. They got a parade, food, games. And the reason I'm uh, you know, endorsing this is the Greasy Pink contest. Have you ever done a greasy pink contest?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm undefeated and untaished. I'm the Greasy Pink champion of the Dewberry chuck wagon races that L Point Roman when they used to highlight. Well, they did a hundred years ago, like whether or not they still do. But I when I was 14 years old, the guy fired the guns up in the air, and I just I'm a foot and a half taller than every kid. Yeah. I just ran away from all those cowboys in Dewberry and I turned my cap on backwards and I jumped on that greasy pig.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh. So that's what you have to do. You you don't you don't don't you have to like, oh, you just jump on it and hold it for so long.
SPEAKER_02You gotta tackle them, you gotta tackle them and bring them down like a football tackle. And the older you are, the bigger the pig.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh, so much fun.
SPEAKER_02It is hilarious.
SPEAKER_01This is again another reason why you want to move to rural Alberta because we actually do still fun things.
SPEAKER_02The greasy pig race is outstanding. And it it's fun to be in, it's more fun to watch.
SPEAKER_01I love watching those little kids hang on to the sheep and the rodeos.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. There you go.
SPEAKER_01So cute. The one I was watching, he was like on backwards, but he was not giving that sheep up. He was like, and he read the road the whole thing.
SPEAKER_02And then refused to get off even the sheep is exhausted.
SPEAKER_01And the guy's trying to grab him on.
SPEAKER_02Come on, buddy. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, they told me a hang on.
SPEAKER_02Hang on until he walks me off. Yep. Oh, so one at every rodeo. There's a kid that's like the toughest little four-year-old you ever met refuses to hit the dirt.
SPEAKER_01Right. Awesome. Okay, well, we come to the time in our uh show for the disclaimer. Usually this is a Doris thing. Do you want to take a kick at it or do you want me to do it? Oh, I'll give you your disclaimer. Okay, you you lay it down.
SPEAKER_02The two divas, one rant is all about real conversations from our point of view. Everything we talk about reflects our own opinions, experiences, and interpretations of what's happening in our town, our county, and beyond. We're not claiming to have every detail or the full story. We're reacting to what we see, what we hear, and what affects our community. We're here to spark discussion, not to present ourselves as experts. If we miss something, get something wrong, or there's more to the story, we generally welcome being corrected or educated. Community insight makes the conversation better, and we're always open to learning from the people who live it.
SPEAKER_01Look at you laying that down all that legal ease.
SPEAKER_02Just to be safe, because I oftentimes say something that I know nothing about. I like to say things I'm informed about. Some every now and then, you get me rolling on something, I'll just find you some big lines of DS.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but you know what? Then we just encourage people to call us and point us in the right direction again. That's all.
SPEAKER_02Have you had any complaint calls in your first nine episodes?
SPEAKER_01We have had two people reach out to us in our first nine episodes and say, hey, I think it's actually this way. And we're like, hey, great, thanks. That's exactly why we've always said that. We're totally open to that. Yep. So uh yeah, if you love laughs, opinions, chaos, and occasionally the unfiltered rant, you're in the right place. Like, subscribe, and follow along on Facebook, Instagram, and guess what? We're now on TikTok. Woo! We're getting with the big corrupt boys now. We're on TikTok, yeah. You're ticking and talking. Follow along wherever you get your podcast. Join the conversation. Got a rant, a story, or a topic idea, email us at 2divas1rantgmail.com because around here everybody's gonna rant. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, most of them I don't care to hear, and they probably don't care to hear mine either. But hopefully somebody tuned in to listen this week.
SPEAKER_01Can't go wrong. All right, well, I guess that's it for today's conversation.
SPEAKER_02Awesome. Thanks for having me.
SPEAKER_01Hey, no problem. Until next time, stay classy, stay loud, keep ranting.
SPEAKER_02This is One Diva.
SPEAKER_01One D One rant.
SPEAKER_02Where local news meets local attitude.
