Well, praise the Lord everybody. And we think Thank God for everyone that that's gonna be listening to the podcast. One of the head leaders. Apostle Ed, along with my wife, Prophetess Marion. We just thank God. Amen. And we send love out to every one of you from Greater Outpouring Worship Center here in Pennsylvania. And tonight we are continuing our study on the fruit of the Spirit.
SPEAKER_04Yes, amen.
SPEAKER_03Amen. And to tonight we're going to be looking again at Galatians chapter number five and verses 22 through 23. This is our main text that we've been talking on for a few weeks. And tonight we're going to be again coming from this chapter, the fifth chapter, verses number 22 and 23.
SPEAKER_04So let us go in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, most gracious God, we thank you and we praise you, Father God, for another day, Father God, to open up, Father God, the Bible and read your word, Father God. Father God, we do not want to be illiterate, Father God, to your word. We want to be wise. We want to have wisdom and knowledge to receive what saith the Lord. And so, Father God, I ask you to anoint every ear, Father God, anoint every heart, every spirit that is partaking and listening to this ministry tonight. Father God, we thank you and we praise you, Father God, for your wonderful and your glorious grace that you give us each and every morning. We thank you for watching over us, Father God, and blessing and keeping us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
SPEAKER_03Amen. Amen. Amen. Galatians chapter 5, verses number 22 and 23.
SPEAKER_04Galatians 5, 22, and 23, reading from the amplified version. Wives, be subjected to your own husband as a service to the Lord.
SPEAKER_03Galatians 5 and 22.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Galatians. Oh my, forgive me all, forgive me all. Hi, Galatians and went right over to uh Ephesians. Twenty-two and twenty-three years. Sorry. Okay. Galatians five, twenty-two and twenty-three, an amplified version says, but the fruit of the spirit, the results of his presence within us is love, unselfish concern for others. Joy, inter peace, patience, not ability to, not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting. Kindness, goodness, faithfulness. Twenty-three says, gentleness, self-control. Against such things, there is no law.
SPEAKER_03And last week we were talking on goodness. And this week we're gonna be talking on something that we've been talking on for the last two months, maybe longer. And that's faith. After tonight we have two more. And then we will finish this up. Let's talk about faith. What is faith? What is not faith? Faith is not just something we used to get use to get blessings. Faith is a fruit produced by the Holy Spirit. Miracle faith, or maybe faith for provision. That's natural faith as a lot of people understands it. But here in Galatians chapter 5, it teaches that faith is also part of spiritual character. What does this mean? Spiritual character. What does that mean? It means faith is not only what you do, faith is who you become. When the Holy Spirit matures you, faithfulness, consistency, loyalty, and trust begin to grow in your life. When you start seeing yourself growing, when you start seeing yourself not doing things that you used to do, when you see yourself growing in things that has changed you from where you were to where you are now. You can say that you are maturing in God. Now you can be mature in age and still a baby in God. You can be 60, 70 years old, been in church 50, 60 years, and still a baby. You have not matured from where you were that many years ago. Let's get an understanding of what the fruit of faith is. What does faith really mean in Galatians chapter 5? The Greek word is tis. It means faith. It means faithfulness. So you get faith out of faithfulness. Faith comes out of faithfulness. You can't be faithful if you don't have faith. Trustworthiness, reliability, and steadfast confidence. This fruit is unwavering trust in God. It's loyalty to God. It is consistency in walk. And get this, it endurance under pressure. Faith is more than emotion. We said it before. Faith is not hill. Faith is not goosebumps. Faith is not positive thinking. Biblical faith is confidence in God regardless of circumstances. Faith is confidence in God regardless of the circumstances. In Hebrews chapter eleven, verse one, very familiar.
SPEAKER_04Now faith is the substance of things hoped for.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Where does faith come from?
unknownBy hearing the word.
SPEAKER_03Faith comes from God's Word. Look at Romans 10 and 17. I didn't think I had any. Romans 10 and 17.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Romans 10, 17. Hallelujah. At least I'm going to the right book this time. Romans 10, 17 says, So faith comes.
SPEAKER_02How? How?
SPEAKER_04So faith comes from hearing.
SPEAKER_02From hearing.
SPEAKER_04What is told and what is heard comes by the preaching of the message concerning Christ.
SPEAKER_03So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Faith grows through hearing the word. Faith grows by meditating on scripture. You can read a scripture, meditate on that scripture, and that one scripture will increase your faith just enough to get you through a day.
SPEAKER_04That's right.
SPEAKER_03Faith grows through obeying revelation. And it also grows through spending time with God.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_03You cannot separate faith from the word. Weak word, weak faith. Strong word?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03Strong faith.
unknownHallelujah.
SPEAKER_03You have to be careful, people, of watered down gospels. Watered down gospels will give you weak faith. If it's not pure, it's not real faith. The enemy fights your prayer life. Let me say this. You can go into your prayer closet and start praying. I guarantee you, a distraction is going to come. You will fight your Bible study. A distraction will come. You will fight your church attendance. A distraction will come. Because he knows faith grows there. Let me give you an example. Let's look at Abraham. God gave Abraham a word before he gave him a son. Faith begins where God speaks. When God speaks a word, faith starts working. Faith cannot work without a word proceeding from God. Everything that is touched to faith is attached to the voice of God. The difference between natural faith and spiritual faith. What is it? What's the difference? What is the difference? Well, I'm glad you asked. Natural faith. Everyone has natural faith. Sitting in chairs, driving cars, trusting systems. You have to have faith to sit in a chair. You have to have faith to get up. You have to have faith while you're driving that car. Try driving the car without faith. You'll wreck every time. And people trust is the system. If you trust in the system, that will test your faith. Spiritual faith trust is God's promise. It trusts God's timing. It trusts God's power. And it trusts God's character. Second Corinthians chapter 5, verse 7. This is another one that's very familiar. 2 Corinthians 5 and 7. Are y'all still out there with me? If you are, just uh send me a message somewhere, let me know where you're at.
SPEAKER_04Second Corinthians 5 and 7. For we walk by faith, not by sight. Living our lives in a manner consistent with our confidence or I'm sorry, confidence, belief in God's promise.
SPEAKER_03Look at this. Faith walks when sight has no evidence. Jesus constantly honored faith. Matthew Nine and Twenty Nine.
SPEAKER_04Um went right past it. Then he touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith, your trust and confidence in my power and my ability to heal, it will be done to you.
SPEAKER_03According to your faith. According to your faith.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_03Be it unto you. In Mark chapter 5 is a story. One time or another. In Mark chapter 5, you'll find the woman with the issue of blood. She had been suffering from this issue for twelve long years. Twelve years of suffering. She was rejected. She was broke. She was weak. But even through that, that would have been enough for anybody to give up everything and just lay down and die. Rejected by the doctors. Broke by the doctors. Weak from the issue. Yet faith pushed her through the crowd. Faith says, if I can touch him, I shall be made whole.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_03That is where her faith was. Her faith was not. In her circumstances. Her faith was in the crowd.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_03Faith pulls on heaven. Fear repels. Doubt hesitates. Faith reaches. Give it James chapter one verses six through eight. James. James chapter one verses six through eight. When faith produces in the believer, faith produces stability.
SPEAKER_04Is that again James 1?
SPEAKER_03Six, seven, and eight.
SPEAKER_04Six, seven, and eight. But he must ask for wisdom in faith without doubting God's willingness to out. For the one who doubts is like a ballowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. Seven, for such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything at all from the Lord. Eight, being a double-minded man, unstable and relentless in all his ways, in everything he thinks, fills, or decides.
SPEAKER_03Give me Isaiah 40 and 31. A double-minded man is unstable. This is what faith stabilizes. It stabilizes your emotions. It stabilizes your decisions. And it stabilizes your character. Let's look at David and Goliath. Others saw a giant. David saw a covenant. Faith changes perspective. Faith produces patience.
SPEAKER_04Yes. Isaiah forty and thirty-one means. They will lift up their wings and rise up close to God like eagles rise towards the sun. They will run and not become weary. They will walk and not grow tired.
SPEAKER_03But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. You have got to have the patience to wait sometimes. Waiting, you will get strength in your waiting. You may think that if you have to wait, it's going to drain you. The longer I wait, the worser it gets. But the more that you wait, the stronger you will get. God will sustain you in your wait. Faith produces obedience. Real faith obeys even when uncomfortable. Real faith obeys even when uncomfortable. I don't know how I'm going to do it. I don't know where this is going to come from. I don't know where that is going to come from. I'm in an uncomfortable situation. But faith is already activated. Noah built before rain came. God told Noah it was going to rain. He didn't tell him when. People begin to question Noah. Why are you building this boat? It's going to rain. How are you saying it's going to rain? There's not a cloud in the sky. But it's going to rain. Because Noah hadn't gotten a word from God. It's going to rain. Abraham left before destination was revealed. God told Abraham to get up, take his son Isaac, and he will show him where to go. Only thing Abraham had to do was just get up and go. No idea where he was going, no idea of the direction or anything. But God told him, get up, take your son Isaac, and go. Let me give you some. I got four enemies of faith. The first one is fear. Fear contradicts faith. Look at Second Timothy one and seven.
SPEAKER_04Second Timothy one and verse seven says, for God did not give us the spirit of timidity or cowardness or fear. But he has given us a spirit of power and of love and of a sound judgment and personal discipline. Abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control.
SPEAKER_03God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. So why do you have why are you so fearful when you've already have been given a word? Doubt is another enemy. Doubt divides the mind. Peter walked on water until he focused on the storm. As long as Peter was walking on the water, he was okay. Yes. But when he took his eyes off the water, and his eyes turned toward the storm, he began to have a divided mind. He started having doubt. And I can prove it in scripture. When he started thinking, he said, Lord save me. He went from faith to doubt.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_03But even though he went from faith to doubt, during the doubt, he had to have faith to say, Lord, save me. So doubt didn't stay there the whole time because doubt had to get out of the way for faith to come back in and play. Another enemy is disobedience. Disobedience weakens spiritual confidence. You cannot walk strongly in faith while resisting God. If God is telling you to do something, go somewhere, say something, and you are resisting what He is trying to get you to do, then guess what? You have been disobedient to the word. Disobedient is sin. So how can you have faith if you're going to be disobedient? You cannot be disobedient in faith. Let's look how to grow the fruit of faith. How can we grow? First thing, stay connected to the Holy Spirit. Faith is fruit of the Spirit. You cannot produce it through fleshly thriving. Feed on the word daily, because faith must be fed. Speak the Word. Because life and death are in the power of the tongue. Stop speaking defeat constantly. Remember past victories. David remembered the lion. David remembered the bear. David remembered before facing Goliath. Remember your past victories. That will help increase your faith. If you can only remember where you was at and where you are now.
SPEAKER_04Amen.
SPEAKER_03Surround yourself with faith. Faith environments matter. Negative environments suffocate faith. 1 Peter 1 and 7.
SPEAKER_041 Peter 1 and 7 reads.
SPEAKER_03Wait, faith reveals, wait a minute, faith, trials reveals faith. Okay, what'd it say?
SPEAKER_04So that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold, which is perishable even through tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in your praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_03The trial of your faith. Your faith will be on trial.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_03So what will your faith be found? Guilty or not guilty? Because your faith is much more precious than of gold. We talked about this last night. How much is gold worth? $4,000 and something dollars an ounce. Your faith is worth more than that. Your faith does not have a value on it. That's right. Pressure reveals what you truly believe. Job's faith. Did Job have faith? Yes. Because he said, though he slay me, yet will I trust him.
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_03Faith worships even in suffering. Even when you're going through, your faith is still at work. It never stops. Yes, amen. Look at Paul's faith. Paul praised God in prison. Faith is not dependent on comfort. Faith activates the impossible. Mark nine and twenty-three. Mark chapter nine, verse twenty-three.
SPEAKER_04Mark chapter nine verses twenty-three, it reads, Jesus said to him, You say to me, if you can, all things are possible for the one who believes and trusts in me.
SPEAKER_03If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Faith opened doors. Faith moves mountains. Faith releases miracles. Faith breaks limitations. The early church operated boldly because they believed God. Faith makes the church dangerous to darkness. The fruit of spirit also means faithfulness. God is looking for believers who are dependable, who are committed, who are loyal, and who is steadfast. Now look at Luke chapter 16. My last scripture. Luke 16, verse 10.
SPEAKER_04Luke 16 and 10 reads. He who is faithful in a very little things is also faithful in much. And he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much.
SPEAKER_03He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much. Faithfulness qualifies you for greater responsibility. Remaining loyalty to God, believing beyond circumstances. The Holy Spirit wants to produce a faith in you that survives storms, endures warfare, overcomes fear, and glorifies Christ. Let me make this declaration. This is what I'm going to declare. My faith will not fail. I will trust God completely. I walk by faith and not by sight. My faith is growing daily. I am faithful to God's assignment. I will see the promises of God manifested. Let me ask these questions. This is at the end. So these are just questions now. What's the difference between faith and hope? Is there a difference? Hope expects something good. Faith believes it is possible through God. Hope looks forward. Faith acts now. Here's a question. Why does God allow our faith to be tested? Okay. Testing develops endurance. Testing develops maturity. Testing develops dependency on God. Untested faith can become shallow faith. Can faith grow?
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_03Yes. The disciple said, Lord, increase our faith. Faith grows through hearing the word, obedience, trials, and prayer. What weakens faith?
SPEAKER_04Disbelief.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Anything else?
SPEAKER_04Not reading the word, not having a connection with God.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Anything else?
SPEAKER_04Um by not speaking faith, speaking doubt. Or speaking unbelief.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Anything else?
SPEAKER_04Can't think of anything else right now.
SPEAKER_03This is what we can space. Fear. Sin. Doubt. Negative speech. Spiritual isolation.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_03And lack of word intake. That's what you said. Is faith always connected to miracles?
SPEAKER_04Yes. You have to believe for that miracle. You have to have faith that that miracle's on its way, that miracle is going to manifest itself. So I would say yes.
SPEAKER_03Not always. Okay. Sometimes faith receives miracles. Okay. Sometimes faith gives strength to endure. Both are victories. It may not be directly connected. It is connected, but not directly. How do I keep fighting faith? How do I keep faith during hard times?
SPEAKER_04By reading the God, by staying connected to God, by hearing the word, by talking faithfully and not doubt and not having fear.
SPEAKER_03How do I keep faith during our times? Stay in prayer. Keep worshiping. Meditate on scripture. And another big thing that you can do during your hard times is to avoid isolation. Can someone have faith and still struggle emotionally? Can they?
SPEAKER_04They need to build their faith up.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Faith does not mean you never feel pressure. Faith means pressure does not control your trust in God. What does faithful living look like practically? What does faithful living look like? Consistency, honesty, your prayer life, your obedience, your commitment, your integrity, and you serving faithfully. Here's a good one. Why do some prayers seem unanswered?
SPEAKER_04Because when you prayed them, you didn't pray of faith believing.
SPEAKER_03Why do some prayers seem unanswered?
SPEAKER_04Here's some possible or they were answered and you didn't like the answer. Huh? Or they were answered and you didn't like the answer.
SPEAKER_03Close enough. Possible reasons is timing. Spiritual growth. You haven't gotten there yet for that prayer to be answered. You got some growing to do. Wrong motives. Wow.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_03God has something better. Perseverance is still developing. Always remember this. Delayed is not always denied. Amen. Now, how can churches develop stronger faith corporately? Through strong biblical teachings, through prayer, through worship, through testimonies, through unity and obedience to the Holy Spirit. And this is the closing prayer. Father, increase our faith. Yes, Lord. Teach us to trust you completely. Remove fear, doubt, and unbelief. Let the fruit of faith grow in us by the Holy Spirit. Make us steadfast, loyal, and spiritually mature. Help us walk by faith and not by sign. In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Thank you so much for being on this tonight.
