Good evening, everyone. We welcome you to our midweek gathering that we have every week about this time. And we greet you in the name of the Lord Jesus from the Greater Outpouring Worship Center right here in the state of Pennsylvania. And we just thank and appreciate everyone that uh listens to these podcasts, um, no matter what um country you're living in or what state you're living in. We thank God for you even when it don't even look like that it's going. When we look at the evidence, we begin to see things as it begins to unfold. I am your host tonight. I am Apostle Lady Gall, and our co-host is my wife, Prophet Marion. And tonight, we are going to get into a subject that I was asked last week, and I thought this would be a good topic this week to discuss. And before I get into it, we want to say and pray for everyone that's on here. No matter whether you don't hear it at nighttime, daytime, evening, whenever it is. Father God, we thank you for this time. We thank you for this hour that you have given us to bring this word to your people, to the people in whatever country that you have them listening from. God, we just thank you right now. And God, that they will have an ear to hear and a mind to receive the word that is about to be given tonight. And Father, we thank you for all things. We thank you. In Jesus' name, amen. Okay, I was asked the question last week. Is time and season the same thing? Tonight we're going to look, get an understanding of God's timing and God's appointed seasons. The main scripture that we're going to be coming from tonight is Ecclesiastes chapter three and verse number one.
SPEAKER_02Ecclesiastes three and one, and the Amplified version reads, There is a season, a time appointed for everything, and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven.
SPEAKER_00The King James says, to everything there is a season and a time to every purge of heaven. Many believers they confuse time and season. But the Bible teaches that they are not the same. And we're going to get into that. Understanding the difference helps us walk in wisdom, help us walk in patience, and help us walk in obedience. A person can know the time but miss the season. I want you to let that sink in. You can know the time but miss the season. And likewise a person can recognize the season but fail to act at the right time. What is time? Time is the measurable progression of moments. It's measured by seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years. Everyone receives the same twenty-four hours each day. Look at Psalms twenty and twelve.
SPEAKER_02Psalms twenty and twelve. I thought that's ninety and twelve.
SPEAKER_00I'm sorry, yes.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Psalms ninety and twelve. So teach us to number our days that we may cultivate and bring to you a heart of wisdom.
SPEAKER_00So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts into wisdom. Time is something God gives us to manage. First, time is universal. Everyone experiences time. Whether it's the rich or the poor, time moves forward. No one can stop it. When did time begin? I answered always like this. In the beginning was the beginning before there was a beginning. Amen. Time reveals character. Time cannot be recovered.
unknownNo, it cannot.
SPEAKER_00Look at Ephesians chapter 5, verses 16, and so 15 and 16. Ephesians chapter 5, verses 15 and 16.
SPEAKER_02Ephesians 5, 15 and 16 read, therefore, see that you walk carefully, living life with honor, purpose, and courage, shunning, shunning those who tolerate and enable evil, not as the unwise, but as wise, sensible, intelligent, discerning people. 16. Making the very most of your time on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence, because the days are filled with evil.
SPEAKER_00Look at what we're living in now. Redeem the time because the days are evil. Amen. Money can be regained. Opportunities may return. Time never comes back. Amen. Time reveals character. What people do with time reveals priorities. Prayer takes time. Worship takes time. Growth takes time. So what is a season? A season is a divinely appointed period for a specific purpose. While time is measured by clocks, seasons are measured by God's activity. Ecclesiastes 3 and 1 says, to everything there is a season. God establishes seasons for growth, for preparation, for testing, for harvest, for promotion, and for restoration. Seasons have purpose. God never wastes a season. Even difficult seasons produce something valuable. Yes. What does Romans 8 28 say? A favorite verse for a lot of people.
SPEAKER_02Romans 8.28. And we know with great confidence that God, who is deeply concerned about us, causes all things to work together as a plan for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his plan and purpose.
SPEAKER_00And we know that all things work together for good.
SPEAKER_02Amen.
SPEAKER_00That is a season. And that is a purpose for a season. Natural seasons teach spiritual seasons. God often teaches spiritual truth through nature. I've always said we only have two seasons. That's winter and summer. Fall and spring are transition periods. You're going from one into another. But in the transition, in the spring transition, it represents new beginnings. It represents growth. And it represents fresh vision. Israel entering new territory. When you get into summer, summer represents labor, development, and cultivation. You're working to get the crop prepared. Then comes the fall time. That's the harvest. That's the gathering of what has grown through the year. It represents reward. It represents increase. And it represents reaping. Look at Galatians 6 and 9.
SPEAKER_02Galatians 6 and 9 reads, let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good. For at the proper time we will reap if we do not give in.
SPEAKER_00For in due seasons we shall reap if we faint not. Winter represents testing. It represents waiting. And it represents preparation. Winter does not mean God has abandoned you. Winter means roots are growing deeper. What's the difference between time and season? Time is measured. Seasons are experienced. Time, clock, and calendar. Season, spiritual atmosphere, and divine purpose. Let me give this example. You may be forty years old. That's time. But be entering a new ministry season. You're going from time into season. Time is constant. Seasons change. Seasons change according to God's purpose. Daniels two and twenty one. Daniel's what? Two and twenty twenty one. Gen Genesis forty one. Daniel Daniel chapter two verse twenty-one.
SPEAKER_02Bear with me, please. Daniel two and twenty one read it is he who changes the time and the season. He removes kings and established kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and greater knowledge to those who understand.
SPEAKER_00He changes the times and the seasons. In other words, God controls both. Time is given to everyone, but seasons are assigned by God. Everyone gets time. Not everyone is in the same season. One person may be starting, may be growing, may be waiting, may be harvesting at the same moment. Time cannot be stopped. Seasons can be extended. Israel wandered forty years because of unbelief. When you look at Numbers chapter fourteen, their season, our promise, became a season of wandering. Disobedience can prolong a season. Now let me give you some biblical examples of time and seasons. Look at Joseph. In time, seventeen years old when dreaming. In season, preparation. He experienced the pit season. He experienced the prison season. He experienced the palace season. The clock was moving the entire time. But God was changing seasons.
SPEAKER_02Genesis 41, 46 reads, Now Joseph had been in Egypt 13 years and was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Joseph departed from the presence of Pharaoh and went through all the land of Egypt, performing his duties.
SPEAKER_00Joseph was thirty years old when promoted. Thirteen years passed. Time moved. Season changed. Let's look at David. David was anointed king. Yet he did not immediately sit on the throne. In time, years passed. Season, preparation. In that preparation, God developed character, he developed leadership, and he developed dependency before promotion. There are a lot of people who are being promoted and still immature. You have not sit down. Long enough to get the knowledge and the understanding that God wanted them to have. Let's look at Jesus in Luke 2 and 52.
SPEAKER_02Luke 2, 52 reads, and Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and in statue and in favor with God and man.
SPEAKER_00Jesus grew in wisdom and statue. At age thirty, he entered public ministry. The time had arrived because the season had changed. Yes. Your desires begin changing. God often changes your appetite before changing your assignment. Things that once excited you no longer do. God is preparing a new season. Old doors begin closing. Not every closed door is the devil. Sometimes God is ending one season. Look at Revelations 3 and 7.
SPEAKER_02Revelations 3 and 7. And to and to the angel, divine messenger of the church in Philadelphia writes, these are the words of the Holy One, the true one. He who has a key, the key to the house of David. He who opens and no one will be able to shut. And he who shuts and no one opens.
SPEAKER_00He that openeth and no man shutteth. And shutteth and no man openeth. Hallelujah. God opens, God closes. That's right. Amen. Man can't stop where God opens, and man can't stop where God closes.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_00New opportunities appear. Fresh opportunities often signal a season shift. God opens new paths when seasons change. There is an increase in your spiritual hunger. You desire prayer. You desire worship, and you desire the word more deeply than before. God may be preparing transition. How to survive difficult seasons? How do you survive a difficult season? First thing, stay faithful. Galatians six and nine.
SPEAKER_02Read reads. Um let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap if we do not give in.
SPEAKER_00Your harvest season is connected to your faithfulness. The second thing is to keep trusting God. Proverbs chapter three, verses five and six.
SPEAKER_02Proverbs three, five, and six. Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways, know and acknowledge and recognize him, and he will make your path straight and smooth, removing obstacles that block your way.
SPEAKER_00Trust him when the season makes no sense. Continue praying. Prayer sustains you through every season. Refuse to compare seasons. Peter and John had different assignments. You cannot compare your season with someone else's. Because God writes different stories. Now let's look at the danger of misreading a season. Many people fail because they misinterpret seasons. Give you some examples. Planning during harvest. Trying to start what should already be established. Trying to start what should already be established. Harvesting during planting. Expecting immediate results before sowing. Sleeping when God says fight. Fighting during rest. Struggling when God says trust. Discernment is necessary. Let's look at understanding times and seasons. First Chronicles chapter twelve, verse number thirty-two.
SPEAKER_02Two hundred chiefs and all their relatives were at their command.
SPEAKER_00The children of Issachar had understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do. Look at this. They understood the times. They understood what to do. Knowledge without action is incomplete. Understanding seasons requires obedience. God's timing is perfect. Habakkuk chapter two verse three.
SPEAKER_02Habakkuk two verse three, for the vision is yet for the appointed future time. It hurries towards a goal of fulfillment. It will not fill. Even though it delays, wait patiently for it, because it will certainly come. It will not delay.
SPEAKER_00Though it tarry, wait for it. God is never late. He works according to his timetable. He don't work on our timetable. Let's look at Ecclesiastes three and eleven.
SPEAKER_02Ecclesiastes three and eleven reads. A mystery, mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy except God. Yet man cannot find out, comprehend, grasp what God has done, his overwhelmed plan from the beginning to the end.
SPEAKER_00He hath made everything beautiful in his time. Not our time, his time. Time is what the clock measures. Season is what God is doing. Time tells you what hour it is.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_00Season tells you what God is producing. Time is chronological. Season is purposeful. Hallelujah. Time passes. Seasons transforms. When you understand both, you stop fighting God's process and begin cooperating with his purpose. Remember this. Every season has a purpose. Every purpose has a time. Every time is under God's control. Look at Daniel chapter two, verses twenty-one.
SPEAKER_01Daniel two twenty one.
SPEAKER_02Daniel two and twenty-one. It is he who changes the time and the season. He removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and greater knowledge to those who have understanding.
SPEAKER_00And he changeth the times and the seasons. Trust God in every season. I have just a short few questions. Can I miss a season God has for me? Yes. Yes. Through disobedience or unbelief, opportunities can be missed. But however, God's grace can restore and direct those who repent. How do I know what season I'm in? That's a question. That is a that's a like we say that's a loaded question. How do I know what season I'm in? How do I know if my season is up? How do I know if I'm done? This is what you ask yourself. What is God teaching me? Patience. What is God developing in me? Trust. What doors are opening or closing?
SPEAKER_02The doors that he desires for to be closed and the doors he desires to be opened. In your favor.
SPEAKER_00The answers often reveal your season. When do some seasons last longer than others? That's a good question.
SPEAKER_02Disobedience, lack of faith.
SPEAKER_00Different purposes require different lengths of preparation. Joseph needed thirteen years. Moses needed forty years. God determines the duration. That's how you know. Why am I still going through this? Why am I still in this? What should I do during a waiting season?
SPEAKER_02Pray. Stand still.
SPEAKER_00That's one.
SPEAKER_02Stand still. Maybe you want to fast and pray.
SPEAKER_00Pray?
SPEAKER_02Trust God. Trust God's plan.
SPEAKER_00Worship. Study the word. Serve faithfully. Prepare what God promised.
SPEAKER_02That's right, no second game.
SPEAKER_00Seasons overlap.
SPEAKER_02I I don't know, I never thought about that. I'm sure people can get blessings upon blessings upon blessings.
SPEAKER_00Yes. You can be a sea you can be in a season season of testing while also experiencing blessings. Okay. What is the most important thing in every season?
SPEAKER_02Obedience. Trust.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Obedience. Success in any season comes from following God faithfully. Father, give us the discernment to recognize the season we're in. Help us redeem our time wisely and cooperate with your divine purpose. Let us not become weary in waiting, nor careless in harvest. Teach us to trust your timing and embrace every season you have ordained for our lives. In Jesus' name. Amen. What is going on in our country, our state, our county, our city, our neighborhood, and come to the understanding of what time it really is. Because a lot of people don't know what time it really is. I'm not talking about 12 o'clock midnight or 12 o'clock noonday or 2 o'clock in the morning or 4 o'clock in the afternoon. I'm talking about spiritual time. What time are we in right now? All these wars, rumors of wars, all these that's going on. What is God really saying? Why is this really happening? Stay in the word. Study the word, and the word will bring the truth to what is going on.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
