And before we even think about getting started, I'm gonna ask my wife if she will say the prayer for us tonight in Jesus' name.

SPEAKER_02

Hallelujah. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Jesus. Father God, we just thank you and we praise you. We lift your name on high. Hallelujah. Father God, we come before your throne in grace in the precious name of Jesus. And Father God, we just thank you and praise you, Father God, for another day that we can read and lift up, read your word and lift up your holy and precious name. And Father God, we'd like to thank you for another day of grace, another day of mercy, Father God. We thank you, Father God, that, Lord Jesus, that you will pour your peace and love out amongst your people today. Father God, let us walk, Father God, in the manner that you would have us to walk in, Lord Jesus. Father God, teaching and spreading your gospel, Father God. And Lord Jesus, I ask right now, as the words are coming forth, Father God, in this message tonight, Father God, that you will open up our spirits to receive, open our ears to hear, and our spirits to receive what saith the Lord. Father God, I ask you to bless the man of God that is bringing forth the word, Father God. And Lord Jesus, I ask that you will, Father God, just give him the word, Father God, and that it is as plain as we can understand it to be, Father God, that we might walk in it. And we give you the glory, we give you the honor, and we give you the praise, Father God, for another day. We thank you, Father God, in Jesus' name. Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Amen. So last night I was listening to one of my friends preach down in another state. I'm not gonna call his name, and I'm not even gonna mention the church name, but we're real good friends. Myself and the one who was preaching, and the apostle of that church.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And last night he was talking about people being stuck.

SPEAKER_02

Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_00

And what he preached on last night was don't stay where you start. If you stay where you start, you're stuck. And tonight we're going to talk about it's time to move on. Look at Isaiah chapter 43, verses 18 and 19.

SPEAKER_02

Hallelujah. Isaiah 43.

SPEAKER_00

Isaiah 43, 18, and 19. Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you, Jesus. Isaiah 43, 18 and 19 from the Amplified Bible reads, do not remember the formal things or ponder the things of the past. 19, listen carefully. I am about to do a new thing. Now it will spring forth. Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

SPEAKER_00

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. And we hear people preaching on that one six words, I will do a new thing. But God cannot fully bring us into our future if we are determined to remain attached to our past. Every believer will eventually hear God say, it's time to move on. Now many people love God but remain trapped by yesterday. Some are stuck in past hurts, in past failures, and past successes, broken relationships, dead ministries, old mindsets, and the biggest one is fear of change. The greatest enemy of God's next season is refusing to leave the last one. Don't stay where you start. First thing we have to understand and stop doing is to stop living in yesterday. In Isaiah 43, 18 and 19, Israel continually looked back. God said, forget the former things. Now notice this. God wasn't denying history. He was saying, don't let history become your prison. Yesterday cannot produce today's miracles.

Thank you, Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

Lamentations chapter three, verses twenty-two and twenty-three. Three and twenty-two.

SPEAKER_02

Lamentations three and twenty-two read, it is because of the Lord's loving kindness that we are not consumed. Because his tender compassions never fail.

SPEAKER_00

Twenty-three.

SPEAKER_02

Twenty-three. They are new every morning. Great and beyond measure is your faithfulness.

SPEAKER_00

His mercies are new every morning. Hallelujah. Old victories won't win today's battles. You need to catch that. Old victories won't win today's battles. My Lord. David couldn't live on Goliath forever. Every season requires fresh faith. Peter denied Christ. Yet Peter preached Pentecost. Failure wasn't Peter's finish. God is doing something new. Get this. Isaiah said, I will do a new thing. New blessings require new movement. Don't stay where you start. Looking back delays progress. I like this. The windshield is larger than the rear view mirror because your future is greater than your past.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you, Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

Stop looking in the rear view mirror. Hallelujah. If you keep looking in the rear view mirror, your eyes will be fixed on what's behind you, and you will not see what's in front of you, and eventually you'll have a break and crash.

SPEAKER_01

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Why do people struggle to let go of yesterday? Why do people always want to hang on to things that God has already delivered them from? The main thing that will keep somebody going back to the same thing is familiarity. If you're familiar with that back there, you'll start, you'll keep going back there. That's your familiar spot. But you need to leave the familiar alone and start getting into the place of the future.

SPEAKER_01

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Exodus 14 and 15.

SPEAKER_02

Exodus 14, 15 reads, The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry to me? Tell the sons of Israel to move forward towards the sea.

SPEAKER_00

God asked Moses, why are you crying unto me? Tell the people, go forward. Sometimes prayer isn't the next step. Obedience is. You have been on this mountain long enough, it's time to move. What are you still doing here in this spot? And why are you complaining so much? Faith requires action. And when faith requires action on our part, God makes a way while you move. Stop being stuck. The sea didn't part before they obeyed. Movement released miracles. As long as the children of Israel was moving, the enemy stayed behind. When they got to the Red Sea, where they thought that was the end for everybody, God told Moses, stretch forth your hand with that rod in it. And when Moses obeyed, the sea split open, and there was dry land for the children to walk across.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, amen.

SPEAKER_00

So the sea did part before they obeyed. When they moved, miracles was being released. Delayed obedience becomes disobedient. Waiting too long can become rebellion. God rewards movement. Faith always requires action. This is just a question. Where has God already told you to move? God speaks. Because he's always telling people it's time to move. It's time to move. It's time to move. Point number three. Don't camp in a finished season. In Joshua chapter one, Moses is dead. Joshua had to accept it. Then says, Now arise. In other words, he says, Now get up. And this goes to another point. Some chapters must close. Some chapters must close. Every season has an ending. You find that Ecclesiastes chapter three. For every season. Time, there's a season. You know, we talked about last week the difference between time and seasons. Time and seasons are different. We have to know what season we're in. So when that season ends, we know it. We know the season is going to end before the season ends because certain changes will start taking place. Just like in the natural, when you're going from fall or from winter to spring, the trees start budding. Then the trees, the buds become leaves. That's the change from going from winter into spring. When you get from spring to summer, there's another change. The weather starts getting more hot. Temperature starts to rise. Humidity starts to rise. We have to know that we are in the right season. Grief cannot become your residence. Joshua mourned, then marched. Joshua did not stay where he was at. He might have been there for a moment, but he got up and started moving. God always has another assignment. Purpose never dies. Leaders change. Sometimes your leader may be going by the book today and tomorrow he's done flip the script. But God remains faithful. Remember that. New territory requires new courage. Joshua one and nine? We talked about this last night. Amen. Joshua Joshua One and Nine reads.

SPEAKER_02

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified or dismayed, intimidated. For the Lord, your God, is with you wherever you go.

SPEAKER_00

New territory requires new courage. Be strong. Be strong. Stop looking back. In Genesis chapter nineteen, Lot's wife escaped. But look what happened. She looked back. Remember this. Remember this. Looking back revealed where her heart remained. You cannot move forward while emotionally living behind. Some relationships must remain behind. Some habits belong to yesterday. Some places are no longer your assignment. Quit trying to fit in. Looking back produces spiritual paralysis. This is what happened when she looked back. She became a pillar of salt. This is what every born-again believer must. M U S T must do. Press toward God's future. Philippians chapter three, verses thirteen and fourteen Philippians three, thirteen, and fourteen read.

SPEAKER_02

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet. But one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead.

SPEAKER_00

Look at this. Paul said, forgetting those things which are behind. Growth requires stretching. Every prize has pursuit. Finish stronger than you started. Heaven rewards endurance. God is saying, move on. Peace has left where you are. Growth has stopped. God has opened another door. The assignment has changed. And your spirit keeps hearing God call you higher. How do I know God is telling me to move on? His word. His peace. We talked about that last night. Wise counsel. And the Holy Spirit will constantly point in the same direction. Yes. Hallelujah. Can moving on be painful? Yes. Because every promotion requires leaving something behind. Should I move on even if I'm afraid?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Hallelujah. Joshua was afraid. God still said, Be strong and courageous. Yes. Well, what have I been stuck for years? It happens. But today can become your new beginning. God specializes in restoring lost years. Amen. What if others don't understand my decision? It's not left up for other people to understand your decision. Because your decision, your assignment is obedience, not universal approval. Can I miss God's timing? You can delay it. But repentance allows God to restore direction. How do I avoid looking back? This is how you start looking in the rearview mirror. You the way you look avoid from looking back is stay focused on God.

SPEAKER_01

Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Keep feeding your faith instead of your regrets. Answer yourself these questions. What are you holding on to that God has already released? What conversations should have ended years ago? What pain has become your identity? What season has expired? And what promise is waiting on the other side of your obedience? God never intended you to build a house in a hallway. Hallways connect rooms. Seasons change. Doors open. The cloud moves. The spirit still says it's time to move on. And Father, thank you for every season that you have brought us through. Give us the courage to release what is behind us and the faith to embrace what lies ahead. Break every change of fear, regret, disappointment, and complicity. Lead us unto your new thing. Let us walk in obedience, trust your timing, and fulfill every assignment you have prepared for us in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. This is your opportunity to surrender those burdens to Christ. Come forward believing that God is closing old chapters and opening new doors. Leave this place with a renewed commitment to follow Him wherever He leads because it's time to move on. Please let us know. You can send us a message on um Plodbeam. You can send us a message on um Buzzprout. Send us a message and let us know what has happened just because you obeyed what the Spirit is saying unto you.
