Good evening, listeners. How are you doing tonight? I'm really excited. I actually have a guest. She's here to talk about a terrifying time in her life. Her name is Susan. So without further ado, Susan, you want to tell a little bit about yourself? I am the recorder's daughter. Thank you. That would be me. Thank you. Okay. So uh, dear daughter, you told us years ago about something you saw in your bedroom. I sure did. What? Go into detail about what you saw, how it made you feel, and we can go into what you think it might have been. So I was a child, so a lot of things were just terrifying to me. I was laying in bed, I woke up in the middle of the night, and I look over at my brother's closet, and there's this giant figure standing there pointing into my closet, and it scared me. Okay, when you say a giant figure, like was it uh It was taller than six foot. Okay. Was it like flesh and blood? I don't know. It was all black. Okay. Like couldn't see any facial pictures, nothing. But it was pointing. Yeah, into my closet. Into your closet. What do you think it was pointing at? I thought it was a border to hell for so long. Okay. Okay. Maybe it was. I don't know. This I refused to go in that closet for a hot minute. Yeah. Okay. So apparently there are like different types. What what did you call this? This person? I called it the shadow man. And that was way before I even knew that other people had experiences with the shadow man. Okay. So after like five seconds of research, I have come up with different categories. So I'm going to read you the categories, and you tell me which one yours fits in. Okay. The main types. There's the hat man, there's the red-eyed shadow people, there's malevolent malevolent shadow beings, and then mislike or wispy shadows. Probably the hat man. You think it was more like the hat man. Okay. Yeah, I don't think it was malevolent because it was just standing there pointing. But if it was pointing to a portal to hell. Well, that's a weird way to tell me to go to hell. I'm not telling you that. I'm just saying Shadow Man said you were naughty. Okay. So it says the hat man is one of the most commonly reported shadow people. He appears as a faceless, dark humanoid wearing a bright brimmed hat and overcoat, often standing silently in doorways or corners. While generally not physically harmful, his presence can induce feelings of dread or unease. And witnesses often report a sense that they are being watched or that the encounter is not over. This is this type is frequently associated with sleep paralysis and certain drug effects, such as antihistamine use. Were you on Benadryl? I don't know. I don't remember my childhood. I hear that's a sign of a good childhood. I hear it's a sign of a bad one. Well, you'll have to ask your real parents, won't you? We were good to you. As far as you tell me. Okay, so do you I'm an adult, by the way, not a teenager. I'm okay. Now she's okay now. She has no fear for percussions. Because she gets to pick a nursing home. The Billy Madison one. No, not Billy Madison. Happy Gilmore. Happy Gilmore. Get your movies right. Okay, so you've got a Hat Man. Now, this happened when you were a child. Have you had any more experiences since then? With the Shadow Man? With the anything, like Shadow Man, anything. There are times that in my bedroom I feel like I'm being watched. Okay. And I make my mom go pray in there. And I do. I'm not laughing, I'm just nervous. Um not really, not as bad as it was at the old house. Okay. So what other experiences did you have at the old house? I always got the feeling that there was someone in the corner by the freezer watching me. You know what? I did too. I would always look in that stupid corner. And where I slept, I would constantly be seeing that corner. Oh. It was terrifying. Right. I will say when we were sleeping in that house, there were times I thought one of y'all, either Max, Rebecca, or you, were running to come get us, and we would hear the footsteps. Dad even heard it. My husband, Larry, he's not my dad. Larry even heard it, and it would be like kids running to our bedroom, and we're like, okay, here we go. We're gonna be co-sleeping tonight. And no child would show up. And the bathroom was right there by our room, and no child would be going to the bathroom. And the heat would just stop, and we were like, oh, okay. So that house was haunted. I think so. I think so. I thought I it was something, something was going on with it. Definitely. So I mean, it was this stuff of nightmares. Um the computer just went to a dark screen. Freaked me out. I do think a demon from over there came over here to our new house. Absolutely, absolutely. I've seen like what I think is like a little girl like off in this little area by the bathroom in your room in the square bedroom. Yeah. And then my niece said that there was a monster in my room. Yes, yes, yes, she did. Because children see demons. I think so. They see something, yes, definitely. But I do believe like ghosts are demons.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Definitely. Yes, because it's to get you interested in the evils of the world. Mm-hmm. And your eyes off the Lord. So definitely scary. That's scarier to me than just ghosts. So because they're I got chills now. Because we're sitting in a dark room with a candle. And then the computer screen gets dark, and now it's just a really dark room with a candle. It gives a good vibe of scary. It does. Like the candle flame is just flickering all over Susan's face. And it's like, ugh. There have been times where the dogs have acted really weird. What? Just really weird, like looking at stuff. Your dog is Bengley. I know. Jake, my little princess. Doesn't care. No. He's like, oh, a demon's here. Okay. What about when he's afraid to go in your room? That's because of my pillow. It has a Harry Styles face on it. I wonder what's so scary about Harry Styles. Harry, if you listen to this, hey. My dog's scared of you. For some reason. So, but what else have I seen? What else have you seen? In this house? Yes. Um there was that one TikTok trend where you'd have like that colored filter thing. Yeah. And you would like scan it over the room and it was supposed to show a figure. Yes. There was one time I was home alone and I scanned it across the room and it showed a figure sitting on the couch. So I immediately put my shoes on and dipped on out. Yes, I remember that. Oh, it was it was like just like actually sitting there. Sitting there, like how men sit with one leg over their knee. Mm-hmm. Yeah, and it was kind of like punched. Oh man, I wonder if we could find that. I think I still have the video. Oh, you should send it so I could upload it. Okay. And put it on here so they could see it too. They're gonna see our house. Well, I mean, they won't see the address. If you're watching this, don't stalk my mom. Well, I mean, unless you absolutely have to, because, you know, I'm cool like that. I guess. Yeah, but don't don't do it. It's creepy. Do it after I move out. No, wait till she stays here. Let her stay here. And then he stalked me. So yes, she's fixing to get married here soon. So we're excited for her. She's got a pretty good dude. He's the best. Yeah, we love him. He's gonna tell about skinwalkers. Oh, we don't say those names out loud. Why are you the way you are? We think her dog is an SK. W. SK. Okay. So I'm wondering how many other people have had that same experience. Like, were you able to move? Like you were able to move your body, so it wasn't sleep paralysis. No, I could put the blanket over my face. Uh-huh. And then whenever I brought it back down, he was still there. I say he. I don't know if it was a he. Well, they call him Slint the Hat Man. I was gonna say Slender Man. Totally different entity. Let's not call him in. So, but they call him the Hat Man. So obviously people seem to think it's a man. I mean it's a giant. Yeah. And kind of had a man figure. Oh man. I don't know. This is terrifying to think about. How old were you? It was before I broke my leg. So before eighth grade. All right. So I wonder if Rebecca had any or Max had any weird. Probably. I do I do remember one time with you, you were little, you were like probably almost two. And I was you were standing on my legs, and we were playing, and I was holding your little hands, and you were kind of bouncing up and down, and then you stopped and you looked over to the front door. And this was the old house, not this one, obviously. And you were like, no, no, no, no. And nobody was there. And I was like, in the name of Jesus, I rebuke all evil spirits. Get out of here. I've always been into the scary stuff, I guess. Yeah. So you and Rebecca have Max, not so much. No. But on something scary, he dips. Bye. Like you dipped with a TikTok trend. Yep. That was scary though. When you showed me. Terrifying. Imagine being home alone and seeing that. Nope. No dogs. No. We did it at work. We did it at work, and there was like weird shape thing over by the bathrooms and stuff. Where you work is on it too. It is. It is. We called it Ghost Alfred, but now we think it might be the ex or the old principal that died in a tornado. What? Yeah. He did. I Googled. I like researched where I work. So. He's tired of the bad children. Naughty children. I am here for you. I'm going to take you down. Yep. Here's my portal. Come on in. I tried to get Susan, but she said no. Why would he come to my house? That's how bad you were. And you blamed us. I was scared of getting in trouble. I know. But he knew your thoughts. The light went out again. Hmm. Stupid auto sleep thing. So, but yeah, that's crazy. So, do you have any more stories for us? There was one time I had a very bad dream about our bathroom. Uh-huh. And I uh it was like a a creature that came out of like where the water heater was. Okay. And like murdered my whole family. My gosh. And I ended up making my dad kind of nail that door shut. And he did. He did. He did. Because I was so scared. You were. That was I can see why though. That's you're little and that's terrifying. So to have your whole family murdered in a dream. What were you watching that would put this in your head? Dragon Ball? Yeah. It was it was Cell. Cell. Cell came out of the mall. Well, it wasn't like fully Cell. It just had the same tail. Okay. Yeah. Got you, Dad, Max, Rebecca. Got all of y'all, and I hid in the couch. Don't know how he didn't find me. Because it's Cell. He's dumb. Sure. So okay. That makes a lot of sense. I don't remember much of my childhood. I genuinely don't know. Okay. Well, that that that's fair. I remember some on mine. Most of the stuff I remember about mine is not always positive, but some of it is. You know, I had some fun times. Definitely. Because Aunt Kim was the best to you. Yes. Aunt Kim was the best to me. So. And my dad. Your dad loves you. I know. You're his favorite. Well, now. He can't say that. You're right. That's not fair. So he can't defend himself. Oh, he he probably didn't hear it. It's fine. Okay. So, well, Susan, that was fun. I appreciate you being on with us tonight. And you made this a lot funnier. You're welcome. Thank you. So we'll have to definitely you need to like write that down and turn it into like a children's book. Why would I write a horror children's book? Because some kids are creepy. Like how you thought, or made me think that my real dad was Marilyn Manson for a hot minute. Well, you both had shiny teeth at the time. So yeah. That's a little demented. It was. It was. But it was funny. I had Rebecca convinced every actor on a VHS was her dad. Look, Rebecca, it's your dad. It's Mel Gibson. Daddy? Yep. Well, what'd she do when she saw dad? Daddy? So I'm the reason why my children are demented and worked. So if you ever want to know, it's me. I take full responsibility as to why my children need therapy. Dad is also a little demented. He just keeps his thoughts inside. Yes, where I express mine. So all right. Well, join me for the next one, the next podcast. I'm hoping y'all will enjoy it. It's definitely gonna be different. But Susan, you're fun. I know. Okay.

Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

And we will see you later and hopefully have you on again to if something creepy happens in your new house. It's from 1935. So that's the year my mom was born.

unknown

Was she old?

SPEAKER_00

No, she was dead. Why are you laughing about your grandmother dying? She wasn't nice to my mom. All the time. She wasn't nice all the time. There were times she actually said she loved me. Like twice? And maybe meant to. We don't know. Sorry, we probably shouldn't talk about that that way. She could be the demon haunting us. I don't think people turn to demons. Why don't you give me that look? Do you think they do? I think it could be a chance. I don't think so. It's a form of torture. I think just being in hell's torture.

unknown

True.

SPEAKER_00

So all right. Well, we will see you next time, listeners, or hear you next time, listeners, if you want to give us some critiques or some thumbs up. That would be great. Remember, like and subscribe. And we'll see you on the other side. And remember, shh, it's gonna be okay.
