Welcome to Cataclysm Corner. I'm your host, Val. If you're here, something in your life is already shifting. Let's poke it. Here's today's question. What if you never needed validation from an external source, but from yourself? Consider the difficulties tied to external validation, energy exerted, time consumed, failed attempts, drama, etc. Consider what it would look like to validate yourself. So often we seem to seek validation from others. Does this outfit look good? Is this agreeable? Do you like how I did this or that? Was I right in feeling that way? Just to name a few examples. In reality, you're outsourcing your power, your uniqueness. By seeking validation elsewhere, you minimize yourself in ways that hinder your growth and potential. Failing is often a part of life that we humans tend to label as negative. But it's actually a hidden lesson. So, what happens when you choose to validate yourself instead of seeking that validation elsewhere? And what does self-validation look like? What happens is multifaceted. Excuse me. Increase of confidence and capabilities, boosted sovereignty, and a decrease of self-doubt, self-doubt, or self-questioning. You no longer buy stock in others' opinion of yourself. Instead, you have a knowing that you are capable, you are validated without others' approval. A good example of what self-validation looks like is when you trust your own read of a situation. Say you have an experience and you tell yourself, that felt off to me, and I trust that. Instead of going to vent to your best friend and hoping that they'll tell you the same thing you could tell yourself. Another great example is when you choose your preference without apologizing. I don't want that. This is what I would prefer. No justification, no soft, no softening, no shrinking. This was Cataclysm Corner with Val. If something in you is twitching, good. That's the point, baby. Go let that question mess with your life a little, catch you in the next disruption. I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of my listeners. And I mean all of them. I have listeners in America, where I'm from. I have listeners in Vietnam, France, Germany, Japan, all over the place. And I am so grateful that all of you love my content.
