So, okay, and uh so his moment was when he met a millionaire, shook hands with a millionaire. Yours, Martin? There was like uh I think it's when I made my million.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I would uh assume not even before then, and I'm gonna ask you Not even before you actually made it, did you have the concept in your mind that it was possible?
SPEAKER_00I always knew I was gonna be a millionaire.
SPEAKER_02Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_00Like when I was in middle school, I already knew. Like I knew that I wasn't gonna be average. Like, and and too, I'm I'm chubby, but at the same time, like I thought I will outwork anybody. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02No, I know that about you, absolutely, and and that's the thing.
SPEAKER_00So, so I I always thought and I knew I just I the only part that I was missing is like how was I gonna get there? I knew I was gonna get there, I just didn't know how. I didn't know what vehicle I wanted to use. And and growing up, I saw a lot of like super rich people. I never went and I spoke to them. I was always intimidated. Sure. Like, and I was like, man, he has a Ferrari, he has a Lambo and everything. Same man. And it was it was crazy. About two months ago, a friend of mine, he's a almost a billionaire, and he hit me up and he's like, Hey Martin, I got this Lambo. If you want it, I'll put the down payment for you. Just finance it, take it. And it was a Ventador, sick ass car. Sent me pictures, he's like, Hey, this is exactly what you told me you wanted. Wow. And you know, when you talked about like, hey, when you were you gonna be prepared for those moments? I thought I was, I wasn't.
SPEAKER_02Makes sense. Yeah, how was it?
SPEAKER_00I was all like, I could do it, but do I want to do it? Right.
SPEAKER_02And then is it the right thing right now in my life?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly. And I was all like, yeah, no, you know what, let me let me make another $500,000, and then I'll hit you back up.
SPEAKER_01Yes. People, people want me to buy the fastback, and I'm like, no, I'm not, I'm not ready for the fastback right now. But I think that's my one day I will have to do that.
SPEAKER_02I think what Martin's trying to say in a nutshell, there is just because you can doesn't mean you should, nor is it something that is in your desire in your chapter and that season. So let's let's take it a step further.
SPEAKER_00In San Antonio, if I pull up in a Lamborghini, and most people too, they pull up in a Lambo or they pull up in any type of exotic car, are you not a target?
SPEAKER_02Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes, are you not a target? Sure. What type of expenses come with that? Right? Do I gotta worry about what's gonna happen at home?
SPEAKER_02And let's be realistic even further. Why are you driving that? Do you got it like that, or are you trying to show this to well, you know, and I because all the people that I know that got it like that, they keep those things in their garage all the time.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they rarely have.
SPEAKER_02You get what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so it's cool. Like we, you know, we had we we had an opportunity, so I helped a buddy. He bought his Lambo here at Marks Motors. Um, and um, we uh we went, we hung out over there, and it's crazy. Like doors will open up for you no matter you know where you're at. I honestly I never felt that I was like uh upper echelon. Well, I was like, I wasn't nobody big, right? I was I just somebody that showed up every single day just worked, right? I never I always had that servant mentality, right? When I got to the point where I was able to take my car to Coda Racetrack and I was over there tracking it with five million dollar cars, and I got to experience that, and I got to meet you know, these people that have all these crazy businesses, retired, and you know, and they they they've done really well where I was able to go with my friends too and experience that. And then we had like one of those uh like laps and we're on a video and they had a you know, people strapped up to the back of the truck. That was a cool experience to have, yeah, right. And those are the same friends that want to put you in positions, absolutely. So I I I'm a strong believer of like, hey, if you want to be, you know, successful, surround yourself with successful people. If you want to be well off or wealthy, you want to be with people that are also doing it too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You know, just and it you might be in a different place, and maybe it's not where you want to be, or maybe where it's where you want to be, or maybe it was like something you said five years ago. Hey, when I hit that goal, then I'll I'll be happy. Well, when I when I told you like the uh the whole point of having the Lamborghini, I feel like it's kind of like that reward for yourself. All the hard work, all the dedication, it is not necessarily to like flex, flex in a sense, but it's like, hey, I told myself this was gonna be my reward when I got there. Yeah, and I have a lot of friends that they reward themselves like whenever they got there.
SPEAKER_02Sure.
SPEAKER_00So so it's cool to see it.
SPEAKER_02And it's the reward was for me, not for thee.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. I don't care. Like it's funny. So I had one of my buddies, he's driving um one of my cars right now, and um, he's all like, Man, I didn't even want to go fast. I was like, bro, you're in a convertible sports car. Like, you gotta let make sure people are looking at you, not just to not just to like go fast. Who cares about that? Like, it's it's about like what makes you feel good, right?
SPEAKER_02Enjoying it. That's exactly correct. What makes you feel good? And at a certain point, you are able to make that choice.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_02And it doesn't affect what you're doing. Yes, and hopefully, when you're making that choice, it doesn't affect what you're doing.
SPEAKER_00And you know what's crazy? I always told myself, I was all like, I'm I was gonna buy a Lambo, and me and my boy Reggie, we had win to go and um to go take a look at one. And at the time I had just sold one of my properties, and I was all like, All right, I could I'm gonna buy this bad boy cash, like, like, good to go. And then I called one of my mentors, and he was all like, What? How could you invest that money to double it again? And I was like, Well, I could do this. And then that's where like I got messed up in my mind.
SPEAKER_02She was putting a bug in your brain to say, you probably, you know what, in three years, you can go buy two of them cash if you do this.
SPEAKER_00So I went, I did it right now. I regret not getting fucking yeah, I had bought fourplex and they're just paying the ass. I couldn't really enjoy it. Like, I was all fuck. I wish I would have I would have just bought the damn car. And you know, the car that I have, I I love it too.
SPEAKER_02Uh your future self will thank you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, and and that's it's cool. But now I'm like, all right, well, how do I just continue developing what I'm already doing? You know what I mean? So I I can't I have access to any car that I really want. Um, and that's the fun part. But at the same time, it's like, would I buy one and own it? And would I get tired of it? Right. How fast would I get tired of it?
SPEAKER_01Isn't it crazy the way that your mentality changes? Like when you're on your way to get those things and you think that you want those things. I hope that the fire for my fastback doesn't end one day and be like, you know what, I don't need one or whatever because I really want one, you know. But it's crazy when your priorities switch when you're actually in the position to actually do that.
SPEAKER_02And I would go as far as to say that you're you're it doesn't change, it grows. Sure. The mentality, it doesn't change you always had that. Like you said, I I know I'm gonna grow up, I'm gonna be a millionaire. Yeah, right. It was always there, he didn't know how, but then once he found the first outlet, it grew.
SPEAKER_00So let me ask you this. I'm gonna ask you a question. Go for it. All right, so how much is uh the fastback?
SPEAKER_01A cherry dot one, maybe 50 to 60.
SPEAKER_00Okay. That's that's a monetary goal, right? That's one way to hit it. Look at the way Martin does this. And this is this is like that we've never been. It's stuff that you don't want to take the fun part of life out of like you want to enjoy it, right? So if you were to say, all right, if I were to hit a certain goal, what would a big goal for you be right now?
SPEAKER_01Remember, we're talking about that not too long ago? I was talking about a hundred transactions in one year. I wanted to do a fucking audacious, yeah. You know, just like that's pretty audacious. Yeah, yeah. Well, you know what's funny about that though? Martin broke it down a totally different way. Yeah, reverse. Yeah, remember what you told me?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I said how much money you want to make.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, yeah, he was just all like, Well, why is it necessary? And I just wanted the um average per commission divided by absolutely that's what he did. Yeah, we came up with 700 grand GCI, you know what I'm saying? So that's what we kind of brought the goal towards.
SPEAKER_00Uh so I I would say that like whenever you do hit that goal, how do you reward yourself? Sure. Because you can't just keep playing the game and not have a championship. There has to be an endpoint. So at what point a reward, a reward, right? And that's like that one thing about real, right? Or like a milestone. Exactly. Yeah. So like I with real, like I did something so simple, just the easiest thing that I could do. So I would work hard, close all these transactions, and at the end of the, you know, when you hit one of their milestones, it's called a lead. They give you $16,000 worth of stock. So what I would do is with that $16,000, I would have it invested. So that's in a separate account. I can't, I don't want to touch. But then I'll go with the money that I made just selling real estate, and I'll go buy a Rolex. That was my reward at that point. So I knew every year I had something to look forward to. So you talked about how people go quick and then they get burned out. They got nothing that's telling them, hey, once you accomplish this, you're good. Yeah. And then the cool thing about that is once you accomplish that with real, you're making $400,000, $500,000. So that's a cool milestone. Mailbox money. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. What we were talking about earlier. Now you have that money that you can not necessarily gamble with, but you can make a calculated risk with whether it be this, this or that. You can put it in the stock market, you can put it in an investment, whatever. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So you know what I'm putting my money in right now? What's that?
SPEAKER_01Pokemon. Oh, dude, he's yeah, he he's I'm in it. He's he's on that, definitely.
SPEAKER_00Really? Big. I've made more money ever with Pokemon than I have with any stock portfolio. My financial planner, like everything, bro. I've tripled, tripled in like the last five, six months. Me and Mark. We got something to talk about later. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like, what is this?
SPEAKER_01No, guys, obviously, you see, we could do this all day, all night. Uh, I want to thank Mart Martin for coming in, man, sharing your wisdom with us. Mark, thank you very much.
