Guys, anything and everything, episode 10. Uh I'm sorry, last week I messed up. I said episode 10. It wasn't episode 10. That was episode 9. This is episode 10. It's all part of uh learning and adapting, you know? Fucking skis. So we're here, playoff edition again, back by popular demand. My boy Johnny skis Guzman. Then my boy Drew Drewski. Differences from that last time to this time. It's not his birthday anymore. So he's gonna take an L uh either way, though. Never let's see if he takes his first L. You ready? I know you I know you're changing. Oh no, stop. That's that's just that's just one time. I was I was gonna wear the glasses, but this dude's hating on the glasses. You know what? So yeah, so um let's see, let's see if he takes the L Skies. You think he is or not? Looks like DV1. No, you don't think so? No. Watch. Never lie. Hey, so are you still going with uh con canniple all day long?
SPEAKER_02Game one game one, we needed con canal.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so um uh do you think seeing the kid play these two uh or these two series and these two playoff games against the Wolves, are you still sticking with your initial con can nipple um uh stance on things? First, maybe here we go. Maybe hear your You asked him the question, let him answer the fucking question.
SPEAKER_02I don't I don't want to let him answer the question. This is my podcast to the things I what was my my initial response or initial response?
SPEAKER_01That you would trade Harper for Con Kanipple. It was just that was it? Yes, it wasn't straight up like that. It wasn't fucking straight up. Shut the fuck up. See, he always does that shit. I know all the time. No, no, you were no you were trying to be on the fence about it and you were.
SPEAKER_02I said it was like a uh a 52-48 split. But you would do it, correct? This year, yeah. What do you talk? Well, yeah, yeah, no, in five years from now. I said in in in long long run, uh career-wise, Harper will have a better career. Knipple is a better shooter right now.
SPEAKER_01He did say that. He wasn't wrong about that.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, Okay, so I was just saying. That's all I was just saying.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so would you trade Khan Knipple for Harper right now, yes or no? It depends. Is he gonna live next to like a Chick-fil-A or a Burger King? Go ahead. Because then looking at these playoff games or no? What's the temperature gonna be? So then you take the L from what you previously said. It's a difference of opinion. Okay, so then you changed your mind now then. No. I said Khan Kanipple is a better shooter. See, would you write? Oh my god. You see what I'm seeing? You're wrong. We don't agree with them. The glasses are coming in. You don't agree with them. See what I'm dealing with?
SPEAKER_02We have a we have a castle, we have a Fox, we have a Harper. All those guys could do the same thing. We need a shooter. If I were to trade one of those guys, it would probably be Harper. Would you trade Con Kanipple for Harper? Right.
SPEAKER_01He just said yes.
SPEAKER_02Didn't you just hear what I said? Right now, right now, would you get it? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01Straight up, you gave him a whole breakdown and he trade up. No, it's the shut. Dude, you know what I'm saying, you know what I'm saying. See? Would you trade him for him right now, straight up? Yes. How is it going? No. Thank you. Would you, Drew? But he said yes. No, okay, well, I'm asking you now. Here's the thing, right? The kid played well. He dropped 27. He dropped 27 that game and y'all got all wet, right? Hold up, hold on, plus, plus. No, I'm not sure. No, no, no, fine. Again, right? He dropped 27. He dropped 27 that game, which is impressive. That was great, right? But nobody talked about Scoot dropping 21 on him. Okay. No big deal, right? He just went, oh, well, right. Cool. He played well. Sure. That's the thing. He played well. The thing that's annoying me right now is that everybody's like, he's playing like a seasoned veteran. He's playing like he's been in the league for years. He's not? He's playing well, dog. Okay. The kid played well when he was in college. He's playing well now. He's playing well. But to sit there and say he's playing like a seasoned veteran, like he's fucking playing, like he's been in the league for five to ten years. I was like, 'Cause then what happened after that, dog? Then he fucking shit the bed. Oh, pause. He asked me a question. Let me finish. 21, right? So the difference the difference was the difference was he dropped 21, Scoot dropped 20. He dropped 27. Scoot dropped 21 on him, right? That's cool. The kid still played a good game. Scoot played a good game against him. Then the next game over, what happened? Shit the bed. Oh, oh, for what he did. One for one for seven. But again, like the kid is good. Give the motherfucker some time. Oh, let him develop. Now we're using the Matt Ray now. No, no, no, no, no, no. Because he did some time, right? Shut the f no? What is my? You were one of the ones that was oh, see? See, he's fucking amazing. No, no, no, no. No, no, no. That's what I'm saying. I haven't said what he's gonna be nor what he's not gonna be. Okay, so then you're talking about right here, right here, right now. Who would you rather have? Dylan Harper or Khan Knipple? Are y'all still sticking with Khan Knipple? Yes or no? I'm a little bit closer. I'm a little closer, a little closer to Harper now. Ah, thank you, Drew. But again, and you you just asked him, let me finish. Can't ever get it goddamn worded.
SPEAKER_02I should have brought that whiskey. Yeah, you should have brought it. The kids are.
SPEAKER_01Johnny, there's still there's still there's still holes in their in both of their games, man. There's still holes. Stop. You see what you're doing? There's still what you're doing in both of their games. Nobody said you guys are acting like it's a clear cut, completely fucking, you know what I mean? Right now, never sent that. There wasn't holes. That's what you're asking.
SPEAKER_02You're giving him shit, but no, all I'm asking him is to state your your position clearly. Harper's doing good right now in the playoffs. I feel if he didn't do good, then it'll be easier to do. You don't want to trade him. I'm just saying it'll be easier to say that. Just like with with uh the coach. Should he call the timeout? Should he not have cut timeouts? But that's the shit that I get.
SPEAKER_01That's the shit I get a little bit of Spurs fans, right? Because again, fucking trade Mitch. He fucking sucks. He's fucking horrible. What the fuck? And then he does play. I know it. I know it.
SPEAKER_02If Harper wasn't doing what Harper's doing right now, first ballot Hall of Famer. You wouldn't be so strong about your no shit, Johnny. That's that's that's the point.
SPEAKER_01But that's our point, too. We saw Khan kill it and do fucking well and kill it, and then fucking we watched Harper do well. And I saw Harper throughout the season do the same thing. Oh, the same exact thing. I saw him play almost the highest scoring game he's ever fucking had. Still, you could see the promise in this kid. Yes, we could see we get that. Cool, we get that. And we saw Khan show us the promise and show us sure the fucking sure. That's why we're on that end. That's why, too. It's I'm uh Harper. In in my argument, he's the underdog in this equation, right? Necessarily because he was just as good of a college player as Khan was. Actually, probably better. No, the rookie actually probably better. No, no, wait, wait, wait, wait. I think a minute as much as Harper just on conpert averaged almost 25 points a game now. That's it. The reason why that this dude was so up on Khan, besides he goes to Duke, was because he's breaking this records and the Lafrayala, right? Yeah, he has an amazing thing, an amazing rookie season. Amazing, right? So, therefore, me as the black horse in the argument, say I'll still take Harper over him. Everybody, he called me crazy. You called me a little bit of a crazy crazy. We called you 2% crazy because you guys are doing it the same way. Like you still can't. Everybody, yo, yo, shout out to everybody who inboxed me. But I need y'all to put it in the comments because y'all inbox me saying, hey, your boy is crazy. Now call them what's the. Because y'all are typical Swissman. You see?
SPEAKER_02Now we're playing typical, just like you're doing right now.
SPEAKER_01Now, what I was saying.
SPEAKER_02Hold on, Juice said we're acting like he's a veteran, seasoned veteran, right? I don't know where you got that. Hold on, hold on. That's y'all's fucking people. Y'all's birds.
SPEAKER_01I acting like that. Watch him in the inbox. Watch everybody in the veteran.
SPEAKER_02He is. Is Fox a better box? He is. Yes, he is. Okay. If Fox wasn't there and Harper had all those minutes, he would look like a veteran. Maybe. He's average. I'll tell you what, he looked like a veteran game one. He's only he only has a couple more points less than Fox like that.
SPEAKER_01Doug, look, bro. Fox Fox and Harper. Doug, it's supposed to be Fox like this and Harper like that. It was like this game one. We shouldn't have to be worrying about if Fox is gonna show up. Shouldn't. And and if if uh and and not worried about Harper. In this scenario right now, we know that Harper's pretty much for the most part gonna show up. And we're worried about Fox. You know, he's pretty much gonna show up, right? 27 points one game and then three points the next game. Oh, yeah. You're guaranteed it didn't show up. Game two, they weren't that far either. Guaranteed. I never said 16 points. Game two, they weren't that far either. You just said right now, guaranteed, right?
SPEAKER_02Pretty much 22 minutes, 12 points to 16 points.
SPEAKER_01Who's been playing more consistent? Harper or Fox? Harper. Thank you. What? Over uh what? One bad game, dog. One bad game. That one bad game. There we go. One bad game where Wemby had a bad game, too. Okay. Everybody wants to fucking crucify him again. Was that even real blocks? You saw that video I sent you, right? Oh, yeah. Oh, I'm sorry. It was a 20%. So what's the best? Don't do that, Wemby. Don't do that. I love Wemby. Okay, cool. Like uh one of them was a foul, the other one was goaltending, right? That's still 10 blocks. It was only it was only two. That's five of them on the motherfucking book. What are we talking about? How much you want? You want to bet lunch? I bet you don't.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, thank you. I'm not gonna count the fouls. I'll count the goaltendings. The fouls is good calls, bad calls. So you can't both defense.
SPEAKER_01That's how I kind of count the the go-tend. Like you're gonna be ching on no dog about a block. Come on, bro. As if he wasn't in there dominating on defense and redirecting shots. Yeah, but you don't you don't get to sit there and fucking just go, well, just like what you did with the shooting chart for fucking castle the other day. You just showed one part and everything else is fucking because that's where he was shooting from. Nothing else fucking matters. You can't just go, he shoots 50% for here, but 17 and 33 and 22, those don't matter. That doesn't count. That's what he was doing. Like now, why are you gonna fucking do that, dog? He literally will show you what he wants you to agree with him on, and if you don't agree, nothing else fucking else matters. No, that's not how you have to agree about this. That's not how it happened. You ready? You ready? That's all you showed me. Watch this. Watch this. Watch this. You ready? It was at the top of the key, right? When they were dropping back on Castle, and I said, Why don't you shoot it? Yeah. He can't shoot. He can't shoot. He can't shoot. He can't shut shoot. Shut up. So so there's a better option. So check this out. So then, so then I look, he goes, Look up the shooting chart. Look up the shooting chart. You did? Because he's he's stat man, stat man. Yeah, that's me. He's not a shooting. He's not I look up the stats and the shooting chart at the top of the key, and guess what he is? 52%. Hmm, that's weird. And what were the other ones? What were the other ones? He goes, look at the whole perimeter. I'm like, I'm not talking about the perimeter, the whole other perimeter. That wouldn't. I'm talking about the top of the key. But he wants me to go to the corner and the 45 and everywhere. I said he's not a jump shooter. What does it matter from what I'm showing you that he's trying to a jump motherfucking shooter? But he's thinking about the better option. There's a better option at jump shooting in that perimeter where they're trying to get a shot there. I'm talking about where that's it. No, that is not it. You're wrong. No, that's the point. That's what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_02If he's at the top of the show, Dimitri Castle is our third best shooter. Or maybe maybe fourth.
SPEAKER_01Fourth. Fourth. Even KJ's a better jump shooter than him.
unknownShut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_02It's not. Well, if you're talking about the amount of times they shoot, KJ's shooting. He's just not a jump shooter. He's not a jump shooter, but he's a better shooter than Castle.
SPEAKER_01LeFon Castle is a great, is a great basketball player, right? When he came out, uh UConn, right? But he was never a jump, never, he doesn't know. He was never a jump shooting guy. Just was what it was. Just the same way he wanted Lamarcus Ardu to be a back to the basket guy. Just the same way that he wanted fucking who else? Some other fucking Valso that he was like, you need to do this. No, dog. That's not what they've done. That's not what they've done.
SPEAKER_02I like Harper's shot.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. Harper's a better jump shooter than Castle. But Devin Vassell is your best jump shooting option. He's fucking sick.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Midranger. Midranger. I thought we were just talking about three points.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no. We're talking about a jump shooting. So Matt gave me the the the court, right? So you've got the three-point line, and then you have the inside where you're doing like elbow extended and stuff like that. Elbow extended at the top of the key was 52%. At the at the left side, at this side, it was like 30, 27, 17, some shitty shit. I go, because he's not a jump shooter. That was the argument that I was trying to make. But the problem with him is that if you he doesn't, he wants to talk about one thing, he wants to talk about shooting from here. That's it. Just shooting from here. Why is he not taking a shot from here? Because you know why Doug? And my argument was my argument was my argument was is because there's better options than him to shoot jump shots. So were y'all just talking about field goal?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, that's a three point on the top of the room. No, no, no. Because y'all are saying two different things. No, no, no. Johnny, I appreciate that. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01Stupid, shut up. Exactly. You're talking about jump shots. No, no, you were saying they're coming off the pick. You say they're coming off the pick. No, not the exact words. They're coming off the pick and he's not taking that shot. I'm like, why would he? He's not a rewind. You you mark you at home, rewind the tape and see what I said. I said they're dropping off from him and he's at the top of the key. Why don't you shoot it? And my thing was because he's not a good jump shooter. There's a better option that they're looking for. Stop. That was me. Stop. And then we look up the stats, and he's it shows that he shoots 52% from the from the three. But no, no, from the top of the key. So does so can he shoot from there or not, Johnny? Yeah, 50%. Done. Is there a better option that they're trying to get instead of this guy that's not a true jump shooter? That's what I was saying. Plain simple. Cool. So why doesn't he shoot it? Johnny, if you're 50% from the top of the key, would do I want you to shoot it if somebody sags off of you? That's what I'm saying. You're arguing about two different things. Thank you. That's what he does. I'm just saying that's the true special. They're looking for a better prize. That's it. There might be somebody that shoots 65% from there. So they'd rather have somebody that shoots 65 instead of 52.
SPEAKER_02I would agree with you if Castle uh Vassel has the ball, he's the best shooter. That's what I'm saying. So here, right? There's the argument. If you're shooting 50, if you're shooting 45 plus from anywhere and you're open every now and then take the damn at somebody's back, right? So here's the snap. Not all the time. Again, right? Let's do this.
SPEAKER_01Let's do this, right? So if you're if you're setting the pick, if Castle's setting the pick to get Vassell open for a shot, and Vassell shoots at 60 something percent instead of 52%, who would you rather have take this shit? I'm I'm gonna take Vassel. That was the fucking argument. I'm telling him, it's cool. 52% is cool, but there's something that's a better option there. And that's what they're trying to do is get a better option. If I'm a coach or I'm a statistics guy or whatever it may be that you have, I want the 65% guy shooting instead of the 52% guy. And he's like, I want him to chat it. I want him to chat it. I'm like, no, dog. That's not the way it's like he's saying he's like, why doesn't he shoot it? Why doesn't he shoot it? I'm like, Doug, because they're looking for a better option. That's that's what they're doing. That's not necessarily the way it works, right? Because when he's coming around that screen and he's going, now it's a contested shot. When initially you had a wide ass open shot and somebody uh sagging off of you, shoot it.
SPEAKER_02It was open. Thank you. It was open. Oh, but even but even Vassell, if the Vassel didn't work out and castle's open.
SPEAKER_01So let's do this, right? Let's say that they're taking the Vassel shoots pretty much contested shots. There's not wide, wide open stuff. Yeah, right? But if he's shooting that at 60 something percent, then why the fuck aren't you gonna take that instead of the 50? If you're if you can hit and you can hit a J in somebody's fucking face and you're shooting it at high clip, then what the fuck are we doing? Even if you're shooting at 50 fucking wide open, but you're shooting with somebody that's guarding you and you're shooting 60 something percent, then what the fuck are we doing? Have you been following this shit? What do you what do you think? He's you're complicating the game, is what you're doing. I'm not.
SPEAKER_00You're the one that's saying that if you have I think if you have a 50% shot, you take a shot.
SPEAKER_01Boom. So better than a 65% shot. Or you need to keep your hands. This person hits it at 60 something.
SPEAKER_02I don't know what you're trying to do. There's reasons why you do need to take a shot to keep your defender honest. Yeah, thank you, thank you, Johnny. If you're open, if Vassel is a good one.
SPEAKER_00No, but a 65% shot. Who is that?
SPEAKER_01No, somebody he's lying. That's what I'm saying. If there's somebody that shoots a higher percentage, that's a better jump shooter. If you have Devin Vassel, who's a better jump shooter across the board, just period. The guy, the guy can hit better, is a better jump shooter, whether you're being guarded or not. And you have somebody that's shooting at 50 something percent, I get it, right? Take the shot here and there.
SPEAKER_00True, but that's just to go with the flow of the game. We don't constantly think like a shooter. You we don't be like, okay, you're 65%, you're 35%. You don't think that these coaches look at it like that analytically? Oh god, I can't.
SPEAKER_01I hope I hope I can get my coach.
SPEAKER_02No, I hope I can get coach Kale. I think I think that I think they make the play. What is Devin Bass? I think the play is set up for somebody who's the better shooter, but you go with over the defense.
SPEAKER_01Okay, what does Devin Bissell shoot from the top of the three? Right there, uh from the top of the key.
SPEAKER_02That's 328. That's no uh no, the top of the key. Top of the key? The blue. Oh, the blue 43?
SPEAKER_01Uh, where's your 60% at? Okay, cool. Oh, I mean one fucking player. That's one fucking player. Cool. The three point right now. There might be a better option. I'll be I'll be wrong on that one on the top of the key. That's fine with me. That's fine with me. I have no problem. That's weird. That's what I'm saying. You were just saying what the hell was the better option? No, I just said he's the better jump shooter, you fuck. He was the better. I'm talking about fucking there's better options. And I said Devin Paso is your best is your best jump shooter. He's the better jump shooter. I didn't say specifically that they're just making a play just for him. I'm just saying there's a better option. There's other guys that are better options. Okay, so why doesn't he? He's the better option from the top. Cool, you're right on that. But he's not shooting it, so what? Hey, coach. So that makes me right. I just said I was wrong, motherfucker. What the fuck did we just do it? I'm saying it's a thug shooting better from the top. Cool. That's wrong. I get it. I'm wrong. 52 to 48. So then episode 10.
SPEAKER_02He's wrong.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. 52 to 48. Thank you. I don't even know how he counts the episodes, dog. I don't know. It's episode 13, episode 9. I'm like, how do you fucking even count those shoes? Each individual person is an episode, but I cut them up in parts. It's not that hard. It's not, it's like it's like a basketball game. It's in four quarters.
SPEAKER_02Episode 10, part one. Episode 10, part two.
SPEAKER_01But he doesn't say that though. He goes, Welcome to episode 10. I'm like, which one is it? Well, when I edited when I edit it, pendejo, I don't know. Okay, let's stop right here because now it's gonna be part two. That's it. Put another window on the side or something. Do you see? Hey, put us put a shooting percentage up. Thank you. What else, Johnny? Productive value, cheat guy. Do you think they have like all the time in the world or what? Don't work like that. Dedicate yourself, bro. Dedicate yourself. Just like Devin Vissell dedicates himself to shooting armor like that. And he still does a shoot better than Casper on the top of the key. So who's a better jump shooter then? Uh, I don't know. Let's see. Here we go.
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
