Oh, that but you sent me like a uh like a clip of it, right? Or some some song that was already out. You had already sent it to me. One one song. Smile. Smile's been out. It was really good. Yeah, it's old, right? Yeah, smile's been out. Yeah, yeah, okay. I heard that. I didn't know they're doing a whole album. No, no, no. So I think what happened and us in the Deftones community, what we think happened, bro, is um Deftone sold the rights to their music. I don't know if you knew that. The Deftones sold their catalog. 3.5 mil. Three million bucks? No, I don't know. Changing the house of flies is worth way more than that. A billion like, I hope so. Once I say one million, the next thing is a billion, boom, because there's those don't number from a million. Even saying 3.5 million, I was like, I didn't know why I said that. Well, I think it was from 50 to 70 million. That's what people were are are guesstimating or speculating. How much do you go to a billion? What do you mean? Like what 99 million? How's that? I mean since like 2008. I know the Euros has been like thrown around or talked about, and it's yeah. Well, you know the whole story, right? No, I don't know. I just know that I know you sent it to me before. You're a Deftones fan of the Honor. Like, I just jam the music when it comes out and I just dive into that shit. I remember like back in the day too. I like looking at magazines and like this. Oh yeah, but you know, like we had no choice. Now I could be like, uh, I feel like looking at Euros today and nah, look at it tomorrow or the next day or whatever. You just pull it up, whenever, though. Oh, so back in the day, there was only Deftonesworld.com and all. Oh, I remember that. You remember that? I send you a video from that on TikTok. Oh, you don't look at it too much, though, TikTok. But it's like Oh, it was with Chino and all them at that house. Well, that, but there's also I sent you another one the other day, and it was like, he's like talking to Celeste, and he's like, I gotta ask my girl for permission. I'm I gotta get on the phone and talk to my girl. And he's like, and then she comes in and he's like, What's up, girl? And like, dog, it's like them like at the house with the kids. Yeah, and he's like he's all dressed up, like he's about to go out. He's like smoking a cigarette, and he's like, he's like, What's up, baby? Oh, I'm like, This is crazy to see that. Behind the scenes, yeah, way back in the day, like at the house. Oh, okay. It's back then. Is it his first wife or what? Celeste, yeah. Okay, so that's like his main. That was like his. Then he ended up getting with somebody from the label, right? I don't know who he's with now. I think he was with somebody from the label. But Celeste is like his baby mom. That's like his baby mom. Oh, okay. I think, if not, I'm not mistaken. Hope you don't like anybody's like, reach out like, hey, that's not my main mom. Are we spreading rumors? Spreading lies about me. So, long story short, um, I guess somebody gets a hold of it at Warner Brothers. This is the speculation, and they got a hold of it, and they're like, I'm gonna leak this motherfucker. So, the reason why Euros is not out is because they were recording it with Chi. Oh shit. So they're recording it with Chi. Obviously, he gets it. For everybody who don't know, he gets the bass player from the Deftones, the original bass player, gets in a car crash, gets into a coma, and he was in a coma for what, like four years? Yeah, they tried to hold on, they tried to hold on for him. Yeah, man. There was uh I remember that was a hard time for all of us because we were like, damn, are they gonna make music again or whatever? Then they ended up getting Surge. And yeah, you know what sucked about that? They made it even better album, you know, or they made Diamond Ice. Right. That was the first album, bro. With Surge? Oh wow, and that was like anyway. So what were they doing? Just filling them in before until like they were just filling him in? I believe so. So fill-ins. So Surge uh from Quicksand, he had um toured with them before as a replacement for Chi. So as soon as that happened, they were like, We know who to call. They were like, there was no audition process, no nada. Let's just call Surgeon. But didn't they have drama because he was like not getting paid or he wanted they didn't want to make him a member of the band or something like that, right? That was now. That was like 10 years later, right? Which was like three years ago. But he's been with them though, yeah. We talked about this, we talked about this a lot, actually. Well, yeah, so he did Diamond Nice with them, he did Gore, he did um, what else, bro? Koi. He did Koi with them. Um, so anyway, from what I understand, he wasn't part of the writing process, and he was like, yo, what's up? Am I part of the band or not? And they were like, no. Not really. That's crazy, no. I'll be mad. Yeah, for sure. Anyway, going back to it, um, I'm everybody's assuming that uh somebody part of the label, whoever had access to this music, and this is my this is my this is what I'm thinking, X. Like, do you have access to every their their whole catalog as far as even the stuff that they have on the shelves? I don't think so. Right? I guess. Especially if it gets sold like that, like distributed like that. But it's not sold. Oh, it hasn't been sold yet. Yeah, Euros was never out, so it's like this hidden project. Everything else, yes. All the other albums, yes, got sold, but not that one. That's crazy. Oh no, no. Well, everybody's wondering how is this album out all of a sudden? How did it leave? It was out on it was on YouTube. Oh, on YouTube. But that's like subjective though, bro. Well, check this out. Well, this is the crazy thing because while this happened, everybody was like, Is this real? Or yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I think I sent it to you, no? You sent me a song. So, bro, I was like, Or unless you sent me the whole album, I just didn't, I just heard the beginning of it. I was like, okay. I showed Xavier maybe like two minutes of it, and I was like, You think this is real or not? And it's real. It's it's I mean, it's Chino, and everybody's like, it's AI. It's AI. But dog, it sounds rough. Sounds rough as fuck. It doesn't sound mixed, right? Mastered, nothing like that. I'm not down to that for sure. And then I was like, bro, like it, this is it. And I stopped listening to it. I listened to like maybe one song. Wait, you wanna wait on it? Well, I think that's kind of foul to listen to it, no? That go okay. This is what's going on in the Deftones community right now. Like, is it foul to listen to this music or not? Nah, I think that you think it's as a fan? I mean, as a fair game. No, dog. You can't listen to Unmask Your Saviour that you didn't want released. Unmask your savior is my boy's band. I mean, if anybody was into that, I'd be like happy about it. But I mean, dog, it's it's it's like when Napster was out or Linewire, people were just getting that music and it wasn't supposed to be out, but people are listening to it, still jamming it. You did it, I did it. Which is wrong, no. I mean, probably I'll still do it. I'll still do it right now. There's like a bunch of remixes and shit like that, but I haven't heard no like actual like original pop music in a long time, yeah. Nah, nah, none of that. I think the last one was like whoever handled his estate, like let different entities get a hold of his music, so then it was released different ways. You know whose shit is phenomenal? Mac Miller's. Like, whoever's control, I think his parents are controlling his estate or whatnot. Whatever's being released is just polished up. Sounds good. Hell yeah. The albums are badass. And it also, too, like some of the it's it's crazy too because he was Mac was going a particular way with his sound, and then whenever you hear stuff, it was like kind of bluesy, a little bit, it was a little different. It was different. He was singing a lot more, bro. Like, not that much rapping, but he was like singing, very emotional. Correct. It's cool, man. Yeah, and uh supposedly there's a um an album of him and Pharrell. It's all Mac Miller, produced by Mac and Pharrell. And Pharrell says that it's on the shelf right now, so yeah, that one's that one's up or whatever. So yeah, so you're for Eros. And so right now everybody uh people have shirts saying I won't listen to Eros or whatnot. Then also, too, dog, it sounds all chopped up and and you know, but so did so did uh not complete. So did Saturday Wrist when it came out, and people still jammed that. That's true. It sounded like shit until they redid it and they fixed it all up. It sounded like shit. They leaked it too.
