I don't know where you rank him and then in your rankings of all time, but dog, he has been the soundtrack to our lives. No, yeah. I think I I've been listening to him longer than I haven't been listening to him. You know what I'm saying? Bro, I've been listening to him since high school, yeah, all the way till now. So that's half my life. And he's a trendsetter, bro. Always coming out with something. I went through a big Kendrick phase, ASAP phase, um, Big Sean, Logic, those those they they came and went. Well, they all came out at the same in the same time. Correct. What's crazy about that Drake is that so before I heard his music, right? I didn't even know about him at all. I was still like all into the metal thing. I was barely, I was still in the band. The band was like the band ended in 2011, right? So like I had just heard Drake around 2010 when when he first started coming out with music, the first album, So Far Gone, whatever. Julian was the one who told me about Drake. He's like, Yeah, listen to this dude, he's good. Like, I was like, and I hadn't jammed out to rap in like since I started the band, bro. And when I was in the band from 20 2006 to 2011, it was just straight metal, Deft Tones, Under Oath, August Burns Red, like those bands. I was not listening to no or rock, 2000s rock, metallic, old stuff, like old stuff. I wasn't listening to no rap dog at all, no rap. No, so the first artist coming out of that era for me was Drake, and then little well, Lil Wayne, of course, right? But I had heard Lil Wayne back in the day when I was in high school. I remember that. I remember that it was like this is Lil Wayne's boy. Yeah. And we were like, who? I was jamming that. And he was like singing, and we were like, He sounded like Wayne a little bit when he first came out. A little bit. A lot, a lot. Like ransom? If you go back, yes, ransom. Well, Wayne's on that too. Exactly. So, like, if you go back to hear like So Far Gone, it's like got November 18th on there, like he's got that Houston swag. And he went to Houston to and he got signed by Lil' Wayne in Houston. Correct. He went to go visit Wayne in Houston, and they did that, and they did all that the tape, and that's how it all came out. Okay, so that's what I'm saying. Where do you rank him? And your top is he in your top 10 of all time? For me, personally, other than like old rappers, like back in the day, that I have to put like up there, maybe I say I would. I'd have to say number one for me. Number one, yeah, number one, only because of that. Of all time. You know who they have number one, bro? You know who they have number one, which pisses me off all the time? Jay-Z. No, not number one. Not number one. I'm just saying, like, for me, because of the whole I was all meddled out, and then the first artist I heard was that, and I just been the whole time jamming it, and I just been on his shit. And also, like, in that time in my life, what was going on in my life, I had started listening to that, and it was like that album, and the next album, and the next album, and it was like And you were you at that time you were a certified lover boy? It was soundtrack of my life, dog, at that time, especially for what I was like doing in that time. I remember too when uh what was it? Which is oh, I'll get I'll get uh we're ranking this new album versus all his albums. Carlitos, you know Carlos Ruiz, my homie, this um so Carlos and me, Carlos and and um Marcus were in uh just this little this our own little thread, our own little group chat, and Carlos' like, it's his best album of all time, bro. And I'm like this one, yeah. So I was like, Nah. So which one's his best one? And when you say it, I'm gonna tell you exactly what it where my train of thought was. It's gonna be for me or just in music in general. In music in general, or take care. Take care, that's what Xavier says, right? It's gotta be right. Is that what you said? It's I think it's uh if you're reading this too late, yeah. So I was about to say for me, it's if reading this is too late. I think that's his best one. Only because yeah, but you're it's because you're listening to it as like for the rap. Not only that though, but that time in my life, when that song was, it was when I was at the other house in Culebra, and it was just it just reminds me of all of that. And it's like when I hear a particular song, it'll legend, huh? Legend, that's my that was my alarm clock for like two years. Uh legend. Uh no, the uh-mm. Uh it's going one of the fucking check a bitch. Ain't no telling or whatever. No telling. It's called no telling. Bro, that one's uh but I'm but I'm saying, like, you are you are like a hip-hop head dog. You like hip hop and rap. And that album, he's rapping, he's yelling, he's talking shit. He's not singing a lot. There's like two songs on there to sing. So you like that, bro. So that's significant to you, yeah. Oh, yeah. Personally, yeah. I just think it's I love the album too. I think it's pound for pound his best, his best. Yeah, the energy, know yourself, uh six guy. So, okay, so then also X-Man of Six Man. Yeah, uh, what's it? Used to Wayne's on there, like dog. It's it's 10 for 10. I used to, man. Six two with that one. That's the album, though. So then, so then in this new album, he's just like, he's rapping this and that. He's like, and I got a lot of energy. There's a lot of energy. There's a lot of people trying to drain me for my energy. He says it, he says it again and during it. I was like, I was like, he referenced it. That was I was like, that was nice. That was nice. Yeah, that was dope. I wish you would make an album like that. But you know what? Everybody's I think that this is it. No, this is it. There's there's still he's about to drop some more music. No, but I think well, this is as close as we could get because everybody said he's gotta black out, bro. He's gotta just give a rap. That's not enough. It's not enough. It's not, it's because you still have like too hard for the radio and all that stuff. I like that stuff. I mean, I like it too. But that's as hard as he's gonna go. That's a direct shot to Kendrick. No, he's not. He's gonna do, he's gonna drop something else soon. Then it's gonna be like it's gonna be like a hip hop album rap. It is, he's he's already announced it. He already said, like, it's already been. That's what I thought for all the dogs was gonna be. Nah, but for all the dogs. Like, like that's the name of the album for all the dogs, you know. So it's like this is what we've been waiting for. He does like a blackout. They're like themes, dog. He's an actor, bro. He's an actor. Like, he has to get in this character of this person and then do it. Like he gets back in the wheelchair and shit? Like the ice man. That'll be wheelchair, Jimmy. That'd be pretty. No, he can't do that. He's like, oh, nah. But he gets in these characters, dog. He did it every album. Every album, he did a character. So far gone, he was young. He didn't know what he was just kind of like going at it. Thank me later was on his like love, I'm I'm being a lover boy, I'm on a love. Thank me later, bro. That reminds me of the apartment. So thank me later is like fireworks, it's got work, uh, not work, uh, what's it called? Like um You could thank me now. Thank me now. It's got uh damn, what's it? So when Take Care came out, he's like very like locked in. Like he's all grown, he has like a fro. And then it was nothing was the same, which sounded like Take Care, but it was still like not as toxic, but it was singing. Nothing was the same. That's the one which one? The Head in the Clouds. Oh, okay, yeah. Yeah, that's tight. So that those two right there, they're like they go together, like so far gone, thing I go together. Take care and nothing was the same, go together. And then he came out with if you're reading this is too late, where he kind of switched a little bit, but in that time, people were talking shit, like the Chris Brown thing had happened, and people were like kind of dissing him. So he like came out and he like clapped at him, like, I'm gonna talk shit now, I'm gonna rap hard on this album. And then he came out with the next one, and that was uh Certified Lover Boy, I think. And that one was more like he had been hinting at it for the whole time, bro. Like every every album had a theme. Yeah, when he he was coming for for all the dogs, it was gonna be like it wasn't for all the dogs, like men, it was for all the dogs, like the B-word, the B-word. Oh, for all the dogs, so that's why when the song come when it came out, it was people didn't think it was gonna be like that. It doesn't mean hard, but it wasn't. It was for all the dogs, bro, for the women. That's why he's saying, like, Claudine, Nadine, and he's talking about all the females that he's been with and all the girls that he has, and all these girls, he's talking about all these females, bro. He had been posting, he had some like jacket that looked like Chut Ladell shorts, yeah, yeah. He had the the Iceman, he had posted George Gervin, like he had posted a bunch of Iceman things, and he posted that. What's his name? Polinski. What's that fool's name? X? Kaklinski. Kaklinski. There you go, Polinsky. Ah, no one. The Iceman, right? Yeah, yeah. Remember that movie? Okay, so he posted that. So he was like an assassin, bro. He had all the guns, and he was doing this whole Iceman thing for a long time, but it's because he was gonna talk shit and shut down the his label, the industry, put all that shit to bed. That's what that's what he was trying to do. What does he say? I'm uh I'm a corporate hit survivor, or he says something like that. You need to hear it next because like all his rap, bro, it's like all not like subliminal, but it's like taking shots at everything. But the song, it doesn't sound like it's gonna go that way. It sounds kind of like a clubby type of hit, yeah. But he's still just talking some shit, too. Yeah, still under like underline talking shit. It's not like so direct, but it is in a way. He said about ASAP, like, bro, you try to broke you try to broad up my with my homie, and then you're trying to. What's the story with them too? They've been beefing about Rihanna. Dude, I think personally, me, I think I have that one over all of them. Personally, I think that Bachula, uh not Botula, what's that? Tier from the Red is my favorite one. No, no, no, no. Um, I have that over Drake's album. I don't know, Iceman, over Ice Boy, over um what else was uh over August Burns Reds as well, and then what else was there? There was another one I've been listening to. But I think it's Poison of the Well Dog. I think they take the cake out of all the albums that came out? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I could I mean I could I could agree on it. It's a good album. It's fucking bad. It's great. I uh somebody was like labeling it like the best comeback of all time. Oh, definitely. Yeah, I could agree with that for sure. Yeah, because they haven't made an album in a long time and they made that, and it sounds like you before you, you come before you. So to me gotta hear it, X. He's a personal World Fans. I figured you would have heard that one for sure because it does sound like you come before you, though. Uh to me, the guitars, the the his his voice, he sings. No production's great. It's a great album. That that I think it's I would say it's 10 out of 10. Shh. That one's a great album. Going back to uh Drake's, where do you put that album then in his catalog? The the new one? Iceman? Just Iceman alone or all three of them? Nah, just Iceman. I haven't heard the other ones, bro. Those don't count. You should jam it. They were fillers, no? Like, so he could get out of that that kind of like everybody thought that, but when you really dive into it, it's pretty good, dog. There's some songs on that, one that like it's called Made of Honor, and it's very like dancey and very like whatever. And it's kind of whack, but there is still like three songs on there that are pretty good. Okay, let me ask you this. Can Kendrick make something better than Ice Boy? I don't think so. No, I don't think he'll come out with anything at all, to be honest. Yeah, you think he's done? I don't think he will clap back at all. He's gonna be like, I won, bro, and that's it. I mean he kind of all Jay-Z. He kind of like he came on a baby Keem's album and he came on a feature, and he kind of did like not those shots, but he still like brought it up a little bit, but like not all crazy. And then he's still Iceman just is gonna smash everything right now. But I don't think that Kendrick will come out with anything. I think that the the whole thing, the whole theory of let's make this beef and we're gonna let Kendrick win because his career was dying. That's what the theory is. That they were like, okay, we're gonna bring Kendrick out, we're gonna let him win, and we're gonna he's gonna bomb on you, and we're gonna let him win the battle so he can re- have a resurgence, which he did, and then you're gonna go away for a little bit, and you're gonna sit down for a little bit, right? My bad. You're gonna sit down for a little bit, and then you're still gonna be able to come back. And everybody knew that, and Drake knew it, too. So he's like, fuck. Dog, I'm telling you, that's what that's what people have been saying. Okay, okay, that's the theory. That theory is fine, and I get it, but you it all kind of falls apart with Kendrick's career, was dying. I don't I don't know about that part. He didn't make he had to make shit, man. I know, but he gets a Grammy every time somebody opened his mouth. Oh, what? Somebody gave him a Grammy right now. His first album he made, the biggest he's got the most Grammys of all time, right? We were we're just looking that up, and bro, his albums dog since section 80. I think the oh no, Damn was was the Damn was his last great album. Dog, this new one, the one with him carrying the baby or whatever, whatever, Mr. Steppin' or whatever. Mr. Morale, I was about to say that right now. That's what I'm saying. He had all this hype and disappeared for four years, and then he came back and dropped that, and it was trash. So he was like, Yeah, his career was dying, bro. Oh, well, he played Section 80 in there, but it was when um Good Kid Mad City just came out, bro. Oh, cool. And of course, bro, he was so so small at that time. He was playing Good Kid Mad City at The Rabbit. So whoever was there, bro, yeah, those are Kendrick fans, you know what I'm saying? And he was playing um, yeah, look out for detox. He was playing badass shit. Badass that sounds cool. Oh, bro, it was crazy. Oh, you know how we bring somebody on too? Dog, fire man, fire, man, this and that, what the fire man. Like some some kid came on and he was he was rapping it with him and shit. Dog, it was dope. Oh, me and Carlos were anyway. Yeah, so all of a sudden now he's got these legions of fans, right? I'm like, nah, but where they're at right now, exactly, because they're not, dog. They just you know what it was? Obviously, what bots? Bots, bots, but that's what that's what everybody's saying. That's what that's what Drake was saying, too. Not only bots, bro, but it's just everybody who wanted to see Drake lose. See? Yeah. Now, does okay. So now everybody that wants to see Drake lose, right? Now their vote is for Kendrick winning. Does that make Kendrick? I mean, for uh Drake, uh oh, their vote is for Kendrick winning. Does that make Drake the loser? You see what I'm saying? I got you, I got you. Like, oh, just because you want to see him lose, now you're on Kendrick's side, and anything that you bring out, because I'm gonna hate on you, it's whack. It's whack. You lost the beef. But if you really dissect the songs, then in my opinion, I don't know. I think Drake.

Cole's um that one was badass. Uh do I think Iceman is better than J. Cole's album? The Fall Off? The Fall Off. I don't think it's better. The Fall Off is badass. I think the Fallout for me. I think they're both 10 out of 10. Because when it came out, yeah, definitely. Because when it came out, I was jamming it like for like three weeks, four weeks, almost a month. And like Iceman, same thing, but I've already kind of like took a break from it because I'm just like chilling now on it. But like the first when it first came out, I was on it, bro, like every day. And J. Cole, same thing. So I feel like that was what he needed to do. What's that? J. Cole's album. Oh yeah. He needed that. Oh no, for sure. Drake needed this too, but man, I wish J. Cole would have got it. I think J. Cole needed it. Uh not the way Drake needed it, though. Drake was trying to prove a point to the industry and his label. J. Cole needed it for like his fans. That's how I feel. True, but he didn't really he's never really fell off though. Like his stuff is always good. Oh yeah. Even that little remember my delete later, he had uh fever, a love and anita, that fever song. And it was super catchy, bro, and it was great. Yeah, yeah, it was super great, and it's still good. I like that album. And he dissed Kendrick and he pulled it off. Remember? Well, I like the uh what was it? My delete later. That's what I'm saying. That one, yeah. My delete later. He dissed Kendrick and he took it down, remember? He apologized and all that, all that happened. Jake uh Drake addressed that too. I know. What's it? Uh firm friends. Yeah, he talks about everything. He talks about J. Cole. Nah, he don't he don't like diss him, but he he talks about well. He says, like, uh, but I can't forgive you for whatever.
