Good morning, Bertha, and happy Wednesday. Welcome back to your morning birth debrief. I'm your host, Trent Bootish. Let's get into it. A new round of laws will take effect in July in Colorado after bills were passed by the state legislature. One of those includes 3D printed firearms. House Bill 26144 would prohibit the use of three-dimensional printing to manufacture certain firearm-related items in Colorado. The bill defines three-dimensional printing to include both additive and subtractive manufacturing processes and makes it unlawful to knowingly produce a potentially functioning firearm, an unfinished frame or receiver, a large capacity magazine, or a rapid-fire device using these methods. Supporters argue the measure addresses concerns about untraceable weapons and firearm components, while opponents may raise questions about manufacturing rights and enforcement. The bill is currently under consideration during the 2026 legislative session. Next up, if you're looking for a way to keep your toddler entertained, consider the Terrific Toddler Storytime hosted by the Bertha Public Library. Storytime starts at 10 30 Friday mornings and gives your kiddo plenty of chances to move and wiggle around. There's always singing, dancing, and laughter. So come check out Terrific Toddler Storytime. Last up, have you planned what you'll be doing for Father's Day yet? The surveyor will be publishing a Father's Day events guide this Thursday so you can decide how to treat Dad. There are a variety of options in the guide, so be sure to grab a paper and check it out.
