Dry Creek Fire update from Garfield County. Recent rain helped firefighters contain the Dry Creek Fire, which remains over 300 acres with no new growth reported as of Thursday morning. The fire, which started Tuesday south of Rifle, destroyed one home and an outbuilding, but caused no injuries. Evacuation orders have been lifted as of Thursday evening, and crews are now focusing on securing the fire perimeter and extinguishing interior hotspots. Hand crews remain on scene with one aircraft available if needed. Up next, the 24th annual Blues from the Top Music Festival takes place in Winter Park, Colorado this weekend, June 26th through June 28th. The three-day festival features two music stages, the main stage and the side stage, and the Electric Avenue Vendor Village, with performances set against the Rocky Mountains. General admission and VIP tickets are available. Just go to WinterparkResort.com under the events section. Children 12 and under again in free. The lineup includes Kenny Wayne Shepherd, The Wood Brothers, Los Lobos, and more. To round out your day, here's a Colorado fun fact. Did you know America the Beautiful was inspired by Colorado?
