Good morning, Berthid, and happy Tuesday. Welcome back to the Morning Birth Brief. I'm your host, Trent Bootish. Let's get into it. First up, why is Berthid investing in parks, recreation facilities, and other amenities that attract visitors from across the region? In this week's surveyor, we explore how town leaders are balancing the goal of serving residents first while creating destinations that could draw tournaments, concerts, and tourism. And what that could mean for the town's future. Read the full story in Thursday's issue. Golfers no longer have to spend half a day on the course to enjoy around. This week's surveyor issue takes you inside Johnstown's new Back 9 Golf, where state-of-the-art indoor simulators let players tee off on world famous courses year-round while sharpening their game in a relaxed setting. Learn more about the new facility in Thursday's paper. We'll go ahead and end today's brief with a Colorado fun fact. Colorado is home to some of the nation's most breathtaking scenery, including Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park. Located in western Colorado, the park is famous for its steep cliffs, dramatic rock formations, and some of the deepest, narrowest canyon walls in North America. The area was first protected as a national monument in 1933 before becoming a national park in 1999. Today visitors can enjoy scenic overlooks, hiking, camping, fishing, and stargazing while experiencing one of Colorado's most remarkable natural landscapes. Maybe a good end of summer trip for the family? Sounds like a blast. Well, that's all for your Tuesday morning brief. This has been Tram Budish signing off. Have a great day, Berthin, and we'll talk to y'all tomorrow.
