Good morning, Bertha, and happy Thursday. Welcome back to your morning birthday brief. I'm your host, Trent Bootish. Let's get into it. Colorado could see an end to changing the clocks twice a year. The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation that would make daylight savings time permanent, keeping later sunsets year-round and eliminating the annual fall time change. The measure passed by a vote of 308 to 117 and now heads to the U.S. Senate. If approved by the Senate and signed into law by President Trump, the change would automatically apply to Colorado, bringing lighter winter evenings but darker winter mornings. A benefit concert at City Star Brewing is planned for Friday, July 17th from 6 o'clock until 8 30 in the evening to support Birth and Fire Lieutenant Ken Bradley, who was critically injured in a wrong way crash while driving to work. Bradley suffered multiple serious injuries and faces a lengthy recovery with additional surgeries ahead. The evening will feature performances by Brian Dubrow, an Erie Bass performing musician and guitar educator, and Chase Marlar, a Northern Colorado multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, best known for his mandolin work. Go grab a glass of your favorite city star brew and make a difference. And speaking of Lieutenant Ken Bradley, donations to help cover medical bills, travel expenses, and to provide support for Bradley's wife Carol and their three children can be made by visiting GoFundMe.com slash support Ken Bradley's recovery. If you can't make the benefit concert or the spaghetti dinner, be sure to give to one of Berthid's bravest. Well, everybody, that's all for your Thursday morning brief. This has been Trent Budish signing off. Have a great day, Berthid, and we'll talk to y'all tomorrow.
