What's up, everybody? What's up? It is episode 14. This is the Fortnite episode, and I'm not talking about the game either. If you guys didn't know that, Fortnite means 14 days. Yeah. But this is this is episode 14. We are here in the now newly upgraded studio. So sick. It's crazy. Yeah. Crazy, right? It feels really cool. It feels legit. Like, not even kidding. Like just looking around. The TV being on, game changer. Speaking of stuff being on and on and on. Rest in peace, the Oliver Tree. Um, to be honest, I didn't know who he was. We were just talking about him. I didn't know who he was. And then I heard that song. Heard his multiple. I think he had two big songs that were really big.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I really only heard that first one. Um, but he was he was big.
SPEAKER_03He was big. I thought he was this guy with cool hair.
SPEAKER_01His hair was very odd. Yeah, so weird. Very, very crazy. Yeah. And uh obviously you can tell when you see someone with that hair type of hair, you're like, okay, this guy's gonna be a comedian. He's some type of comedian. Like you don't just have that hair for Von. No, that's it. But I think he did.
SPEAKER_02But I think he did, though. He did it for a while. That's who he was.
SPEAKER_03He was committed to the bit.
SPEAKER_01Uh I saw, yeah, I heard it it was a bit. I would think. And then he stayed with it. Yeah, I mean, fuck it. You build a brand, you kind of have to. He built a good brand. Uh he built a very big fan base because a lot of people, um, a lot of people were hurt by it. Uh, like I was saying earlier, um, we only knew him from some of the um some of the vines or whatever, like the songs. No, I say vines, tick tocks, my bad. TikToks.
SPEAKER_03I saw him on Bobby Lee's podcast like five years ago. That was the only time I knew about him.
SPEAKER_05Just show your age, why don't you?
SPEAKER_01Vine's crazy. Bobby Lee, though, he's that makes I feel like they'd be a good duo. They were so funny. It was a great podcast.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, I found out about him then and then uh just never really thought of him again. And then he died. And I was like, well, bummer.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's a very big bummer.
SPEAKER_03Helicopter crash is a shitty way to go.
SPEAKER_01Right. That sucks. And we got people saying it's uh the label trying to silence him. Been seeing that.
SPEAKER_03Is that is that Olive? Do I hear Olive?
SPEAKER_01I think that was Hank, one of the dogs.
SPEAKER_03Oh, sorry. Oh something.
SPEAKER_05That one was Olive.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I was about to say that's an olive. It's fine. Yeah, they'll they'll take off.
SPEAKER_01But uh yeah, it was uh it's a conspiracy. They're trying to silence him or something.
SPEAKER_03I saw that. As soon as someone dies, I hop on Reddit and I go, What are y'all thinking? Yeah, it's like a whole big thing there. Yeah. Oh, he yeah, then he like canceled, he was trying to get out of his contract with the label and then yeah, trying to buy the rights to his music or something. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, they killed him.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I think a bunch of people died.
SPEAKER_01And like past interviews too, he talks about his death. Happened to be.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, then like the music videos, he's standing on a helicopter. It's like, all right, guys. I don't know. It's scary when you see stuff like that. I think that's more of just like you almost I don't know. You can like will things into existence. I think more so than like it was like a plot the entire time and he knew it was gonna happen. I don't know. I don't know what the thought is there, where they're like, he had a music video with a helicopter ten years ago. It's like, okay, do you think he knew? Like what what what are you getting at?
SPEAKER_01Right, and like he knew and then he still gets on him.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, exactly. Or like someone told him, Hey, we're gonna kill you in a helicopter in ten years, and he was like, fuck it, and then embraced it. It's like a little weird thought to have. But I'm schizophrenic enough that I'm like, uh, yeah, there's something to it.
SPEAKER_01And then also he was also in a movie that uh I haven't seen, we haven't seen it. Uh Paradise Records by uh um what's his name? I cannot Bobby his name's Bobby uh the director? The rapper Logic Logic. Oh Bobby Boy. I don't know his last name.
SPEAKER_02His real name, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I forget his last name. He directed a movie. He made a movie with yeah, I didn't know. He directed a movie and uh uh Oliver Tree was in it playing some robber. And I guess he forgot his inhaler in the car and he was freaking out like in the process of trying to and he had he played a really good actor, like whatever he was doing, like his pitch, everything was just good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I didn't know that Logic directed a movie.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think it was his first one ever. He did it with Kevin Smith, too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that makes sense. That makes me want to see it more. What a weird lane that guy has, huh? Kevin Smith. Kevin Smith. Just a yeah. So I love cool little indie films for yeah, that's a that's a sick life.
SPEAKER_01We have all his movies. Yeah, like on DVD. Yeah, yes, they're fun.
SPEAKER_04Everything from dogma up. I never saw dogma. Is that the Maul one? No, that's Maul Rest.
SPEAKER_03That's Maul Right. Dumbass. Hey, idiot.
SPEAKER_05Dogma has to do with like um religion.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's the really weird, but it's got like a crazy stack cast. Yeah, what's up with that?
SPEAKER_01He uses uh Ben Afflick and Matt Damon a lot.
SPEAKER_03Like a lot of them, yeah, but dogma has like crazy people, like it's got like huge actors in it. Yeah, but that was like one of his older ones.
SPEAKER_01I think that's his first big major film.
SPEAKER_03That was after Jalen Silent Bob.
SPEAKER_01No, that was before. Really? Yeah, yeah, okay. Jalen Silent Bob Strike Back, which I didn't know growing up as a kid. Whoa, no, don't pull on my vocrow. Growing up as a kid, again, I think I I don't know if I said it on this show, but I used to watch I had it on DVD when I was 13. Yeah. My parents didn't know what I was watching. I didn't I didn't know what I was watching. I haven't seen it in so long. And then I grow up and I'm watching this. I'm like, what the hell? Like, how? Is it naughty? It's a lot of, I mean, just yeah, naughty and like weed smoking and just a bunch of jokes. Show tits in those?
SPEAKER_03Uh no tits. He seems like a guy that doesn't show tits. He seems very like uh for lack of a better term, liberal. He just like not want it, you know what I mean? Right. I think he just wanted it to be very respectful of women. Right. He seems like overly that side. That and I wouldn't do that. I'm a filmmaker, I don't need to show tits.
SPEAKER_01And like that is, and then also I think with certain, like as movie reviewers or people in general, as soon as you hear there's tits in a movie, they either like takes the interest away of a lot of people, or you know, the opposite. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But for the most part, it feels like every movie in the 80s had tits. That's true. Didn't it? Like any movie that came out, like that whole era. It's just like there's definitely boobs.
SPEAKER_05For that, for that franchise, it actually starts with clerks. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you're right.
SPEAKER_05It goes Clerks, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob, strike back, Clerks 2, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and then Clerks 3. I think we the only I didn't I don't have Clerks story. I don't think we've watched it. I don't think we've got 2022.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, okay. We don't have the reboot, and we tried watching it and we don't like it. It's no no it's not the same. And Clerks 3, I don't think we've you watched that yet, but that came out recently. 2002, you said right?
SPEAKER_052022, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And twenty two.
SPEAKER_03Full disclosure, I haven't seen most of those movies. I've seen Clerks for sure. I've definitely seen Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back at some point, but it's just not like they're not my movies.
SPEAKER_01You know what I mean? Right.
SPEAKER_03I've seen them, but like I don't know. You have to yeah, you have to understand who Kevin Smith is, I guess. Yeah. First. I saw him on Rogan like 10 years ago, uh, doing like an interview, and I thought he was really cool. He seemed very funny. He had like a crazy weight loss journey thing. Yeah, like a crazy heart attack on stage or something.
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_03I think I could be making that. He had a crazy heart attack.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I didn't know I don't know about like why he lost all the weight, but yeah, you can tell the difference like completely from clerks, uh not clerks, uh, but Jane Silent Bob and then uh uh what the heck was that? Yeah, the reboot. Yeah. And even in general, just now, like he just He still wears the same size hockey jerseys, same big size shit. Yeah, yeah. He still wears hockey jerseys everything. Yeah, yeah, I remember that actually. But yeah. Oh we get their Oliver Tree. Oliver Tree, R R P Oliver Tree Bomber. Yes. Rest in peace. Rest in peace to that man. He will be missed. Um that was all because of we talked about the studio too. He was a he was a good musician. Yeah, he seemed like he knew what he was gonna do. He had a he had a he had a niche. Yeah. He had a he was an artist for sure. Yeah, definitely. Like a very good artist. Um other than that, uh, we're also talking today. Uh this Father's Day weekend. Oh yeah. It's Father's Day weekend. Um my dad's pretty chill. Like So we're celebrating today. He wants tortas ahogadas. Tortas agua? Tortas ahogadas. Ahogadas? I mean, drowned. Drowned? Like dipped? So these you supposed I don't do it because it's too messy. But you're supposed to drown it in in the tomato sauce with a little bit of chipotle sauce.
SPEAKER_03So like the Italian beef sandwiches where you dip it back in the grease. And you just get like a sopping wet sandwich.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but like in this case, you you drown it. You don't dip it. Oh, you like pour it on it. Yeah. Pour it over it. Yeah, how do you eat it with a fork?
SPEAKER_03People use a fork. People use a fork. But you're a pussy if you do that.
SPEAKER_01Uh, I just don't do it in general. It's too messy. I pour that shit inside. Uh, okay. What's funny too, uh, coming back to Tortasogadas, one of the first times one of the first times Brie had it. She loves spice, by the way. But this type of chipotle, it's like straight extract. I don't know what, how they make it every year. Yeah. But it's legit. It's good. You're supposed to eat it. I'll I put a little dab. Yeah. She drowned that bitch, the whole bitch in it. Okay, I would the opposite sauce that you're supposed to use. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05In my defense, okay. I am not a tomato tomato-based girly. If anything tastes like just tomato, I'm not gonna enjoy it. Really? I was told that the sauce is tomato. I'm like, ugh, I'm not gonna like that. Little do I know it doesn't actually taste like tomato, it doesn't really change the flavor. Anything. Anyways, I have learned my lesson. Um, so I decided, fuck it. I'm just gonna use the other sauce, not knowing it was gonna burn the fuck out of my mouth. It did burn the fuck out of my mouth, but it still tasted so good.
SPEAKER_01What is it like? A H O G A D A Augadas. I can't even talk about it. I thought that would help a lot.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the spelling, it fucked everything up.
SPEAKER_01Aguados. The H is silent. There you go. Thank you. Bro, if any if any Hispanic heard you say that, yeah, they'd be like, Este gringo, yeah.
SPEAKER_04C S Ally.
SPEAKER_01And then they're like, oh no, never mind. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I was trying to be like an like an ally. Like I'm saying, compa. Compa, what does that mean? It's like a buddy, yeah. But that's what I meant. Compa. Compa. It sounds sexual. See?
SPEAKER_05I was hoping he would catch that.
SPEAKER_03I was talking to a Honduran dude the other day, and he was telling me we were talking about uh curse words, and I said, pinche. Because he says it's hot out here, and I said, pinche calor. And he said, no, pinche espanol in Mexico, and Honduras, pinche is like peja or something like this. Peja calor. Like they say it differently. There's like a different dialect of Spanish. He could have been fucking with me.
SPEAKER_01But no, I mean that it's true though, because there's certain words and that they say in different languages.
SPEAKER_03He said like slang, it's not pinche, pinche is like that's like formal. He said when you're saying like it's fucking hot outside, he says peja calor. I think it was peja. Peja? Yeah, I think I think so. Something like that. Peja with a j? I think so, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because when you say with a G it's pega calor.
SPEAKER_04I mean, it was G hitting you. Like peja, pea. Okay, I might.
SPEAKER_01I mean, that is probably the same.
SPEAKER_03Peja calor there. Yeah, just like fuck. Sorry. Because it was hot outside. We were working.
SPEAKER_01So like there's also like uh I think uh Mexican is pinche, and then uh think it's it's I don't know if it's Salvadorian, Dominican, or Honduran where you say uh uh Puchica, Puchica, Puchica, Puchica Calor.
SPEAKER_03Like oh no, it's just that's just like fuck. Yeah, yeah, I guess. You can only say Puchica.
SPEAKER_04Like fuck, like Puchica, Puchica, 619.
SPEAKER_01Sorry, that was a boy card joke, guys. I don't know where that came from. Stupid, I'm sorry. But uh shout out to my dad. My dad is completely Mexican.
SPEAKER_03Is he like a big like is he like, hey, Father's Day is rolling around, like y'all gonna come over and hang out with me, or is he like, I don't give a fuck?
SPEAKER_01Uh so he's not exactly asking, but he knows it's coming. Like something's gonna happen. So he enjoy it, and we would let him know if we're not gonna do something. Yeah, okay. That makes sense. So, like if we're gonna be like, hey, so this year he chose to do it today on Saturday, so tomorrow it can just you can just chill out and hang out all day. Yeah, that's good. Just relax. That's nice. And drink. I think he wants to drink tonight. Okay. That's a big reason. Hell yeah. What does he drink? Those? Uh I think they've been drinking modelos and Pacificos. What modelos? Negro? No. They're not there yet. That's a whole 1.4 difference in the AB. Is it really? Yeah. I didn't know that. Those are 5.0.
SPEAKER_03I thought it was a flavor thing.
SPEAKER_01I didn't know it was a 5.6. Damn. And modelos are 4.4.
SPEAKER_03What's a shiner Bach?
SPEAKER_01Uh 4.9.
SPEAKER_03That's what I was drinking last night. Yeah. A couple SBs.
SPEAKER_01I used to think those are stronger. They're only 4.9.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. What's a yeah, Bud Light's like 4, ain't it? Yeah. Yeah. Those in the fours. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Can you tell him the drinker? Are you still?
SPEAKER_03Can you tell you? I mean, yeah, whenever you didn't have to think about it, I was like, what's shiner Bach? And I was like, well, he's not gonna fucking know that. And you're like 4.9.
SPEAKER_01It's like, oh my god, that's what like an encyclopedia of ABV. No, we stopped drinking, but it that it does help that we worked, I worked at a craft beer. Are you not drinking now? At all? No. I like to I I uh I don't know how to word it. I like to think that was a big factor now. I would imagine, yeah. Because once I stopped, we did stop for a while and I had no episodes, and then we started drinking again. I had another episode, and then we're gonna do it. Yeah, I mean that's I was like, let's just not.
SPEAKER_03It's probably for the best for everybody.
SPEAKER_01But the doctors knew. Yeah. The doctors knew that we drink. Did they recommend not drinking? They told me to I mean chill out. Yeah. And at the same time, it's not like we're fucking drinking every day. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But were they like that could cause episodes? Yeah. I mean, I meant alcohol just caffeine in it.
SPEAKER_01Caffeine. In like certain drinks? All beer. All beer has caffeine? Yeah. Really? Yeah, not very much, obviously. But that's why also when you drink beer, you're up and atom.
SPEAKER_03You're like, fuck yeah, let's keep going.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Like they had little percentages milligrams.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, caffeine. I so you don't drink caffeine. You never really drink caffeine though.
SPEAKER_01No, I really don't. If I drink a soda nowadays, it'll be uh something like a Xevier like that or a sprite or a uh orange.
SPEAKER_03Zero calf, yeah. I was doing good with the I was still hammering calf, but I was doing good about stopping it at noon. That way it was like fixing my sleep, and I've I've just been slipping off. Like the weekends I never really cared, but at work I was really trying to be like cut it off around noon, 12 30, but then it lasted for like two weeks, and it definitely helped, but then my I just kept picking it back up at like yeah now. I still cut it off early, but it's usually closer to like two, which is good because I was drinking caffeine until like four or five every day.
SPEAKER_05Or you know at like seven, which is the one.
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like weekends and stuff, I'll drink it all all day. But like work nights, I was like, I really gotta chill on that because I was still drinking it till like five PM on work nights, like grabbing a coffee on the way home just to have something.
SPEAKER_01So you never actually felt the crash out of the like how people have a crash out in the next hour or two from drinking coffee?
SPEAKER_03Oh, you just mean like yeah, just like yeah, I mean you definitely get like a caffeine buzz. But I mean, you just kinda keep hammering it. Oh, okay. Yeah, and I I don't know, I never really crashed. What I would notice is like I would crave it more. Like the more caffeine I drink, the more if I don't drink caffeine by like 10 a.m. I'm like, where the fuck is my calf? Not like a white girl, like, don't talk to me till I've had my coffee type thing, but like that.
SPEAKER_05Caffeine is actually um can be an addiction. Oh and when you are when you have a high intake of caffeine for a long time and then you just try to cut it flat.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05What I hated the most the first time that I tried to do it was the terrible caffeine headache.
SPEAKER_03Oh, dude, that yeah, it's a chemical dependency.
SPEAKER_05It was so bad. Yeah, I was like, this is a good thing. This is terrible.
SPEAKER_03I'll get a headache if I don't drink like a second coffee. And not like a crazy one, but like I'll notice something. I'll be like, damn, that sucks.
SPEAKER_05Looking up some data, beer generally has anywhere from two milligrams to 50 milligrams per 12 ounces of beer.
SPEAKER_03See, twos, yeah. Tuesday like non-existent.
SPEAKER_01Two's like nothing, but like when you're up to 50 and you're drinking like five beers, four beers. Yeah, like that's all within two hours. Yeah, that makes sense, yeah. Yeah, you're gonna get them. I never knew that. That's also too uh, well, not also, but like, you know how I don't know if you there's nights where you drink alcohol a lot the night before and the next morning, you're just up and at them.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that makes sense. It's like residual, yeah, caffeine. Residual caffeine. That's also why you don't sleep for shit when you drink. Alcohol in general is a poison, but like if there's caffeine in there too, you're not gonna get quality sleep at all. That makes sense. Yeah.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Um I just wanted to point out too for the listeners. If you guys can't tell, our our chat GP Breeze a little sniffly.
SPEAKER_03A little sniffy allergies. She's trying so hard to blow her nose quietly right now. So funny. I'm sure some of you guys will. Let's be real quiet and see if we can hear. Well, I might I muted her. I mean But now, um uh We were talking about your dad though, in the drinking.
SPEAKER_02He's modello. Pacificos and Victoria, I think, mainly.
SPEAKER_01Modellos are usually like if it's a big party.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01But I think he likes Pacificos.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I always see that yellow box. Yeah, I'm seeing my dad tomorrow. We're going to an Astros game. Oh, nice. Yeah, it's exciting. He's been getting some tickets from a buddy of his or something, like maybe at work or something, but he's getting free tickets.
SPEAKER_01You guys should go uh walk to Car Bach. Not St. Arnold.
SPEAKER_03No, it's uh Eighth Wonder. St. Arnold. Both of them are in there, I think.
SPEAKER_01Is St. Arnold right there, too? St. Arnold is the bigger one of the breweries inside, I think.
SPEAKER_02I know.
SPEAKER_01They're for sure in there.
SPEAKER_03We go to uh Eighth Wonder, or we used to go to Eighth Wonder a lot. Are you talking about the actual brewery? You're talking about inside the stadium. Oh no, I was talking a brewery. Outside.
SPEAKER_01Talking about in the stadium.
SPEAKER_03Oh, they have a car bock inside. No, not car bach, uh St. Arnold. St. Arnold? St. Arnold. Is that who makes Crawford Bach? Yes. Yeah, okay, that makes sense. That's their like Astros beer. Wait, Crawford Bach? Is that that's not uh I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Crawford Bach is Eighth Wonder. That's Eighth Wonder, I think. That's the official beer of the Astros.
SPEAKER_01I think it's Eighth Wonder.
SPEAKER_03But that makes sense because the actual Eighth Wonder brewery is like right outside the stadium. Right. Or like down a couple blocks. But they do it, they have, yeah, they have one in the stadium.
SPEAKER_05It's Car Bach.
SPEAKER_01Oh, Car Bach. Eighth Wonder. Is that what you said?
SPEAKER_03I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I don't remember either. I don't know. He said Eighth Wonder. Doesn't matter. Oh yeah, either way. I was right. Um probably you were right, you were right.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you were right. Frost is outside there too. Frost Bank? Frost brewery? Oh. Frost Frosting? I don't know. It's Frosting. It's just Frostbrewery. Frost brewery? I've never heard of that. Yeah, it's literally right outside. You can walk to the Frost Frost Town Brewing. Frosttown brewery. No, you're doing great, man. Uh you should go in there and buy some smoke cross snacks. What is it? Smoke Crow Snacks.
SPEAKER_05Nice plug. What is that?
SPEAKER_01Smoke Crow Snacks, your friendly neighborhood smoke crow snacks. Do we officially have a sponsor? No, that'd be cool though. Shoo. Hey Matt. Let me get back to you real quick. I'm just kidding. I've been fucking up and not answering his calls, and it's not on purpose. I just always doing something. Who is this? Matt? Matt Crocen. Oh, it's his thing. Crowson. Crow. I don't know if you met him yet in person. I don't know if you have.
unknownMe?
SPEAKER_01Have you ever had their snacks? They're like, we brought them. Brother, I got no idea what you're talking about. Sorry. I'm just talking really fast. My brain is going more than my my mouth. So the all right, Matt Crows, what's his last name? Matt Crowson. He's the one that makes the snacks. They're my yeah, they're like my brain's my brother slash best friend. Oh, okay. So he smokes snacks in a smoker for two hours. Oh, and he sells them out of that brewery. The brewery bought from yeah, he he sells they buy from him in bulk. They're like a vendor. They're his they're one of his vendors.
SPEAKER_03Nice. Frosttown Brewery.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03Nice. What does he smoke? Like what kind of like candy or more like chips?
SPEAKER_01So you got you got, I don't know the names of the flavors right now, but you got Matt Spicy, you got uh uh cheddar ranch, jalapeno ranch, but it's basically Cheez Its, like uh it's a mixture of all of different they're all different mixtures, but it's basically Cheez Its, pretzels, um, like Chex Mix. Yeah, uh sometimes uh cereal, like if he's doing like a a sweet one.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, rye chips, some of the colours.
SPEAKER_03Those rye chips, those rye chips, uh I fuck with rye chips, those ones out of the Gardettos, the browns. Yes, exactly. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01Exactly, those are so good. Um, and then uh, but yeah, like different snacks, and like uh he he'll also um he'll uh dehydrate uh marshmallows, oh strawberries, strawberries, apples, uh I forget what else. He smokes those as well, or that's a separate thing. Really? Gives it that nice smoky. How'd you meet this dude? We've known him Southern Star.
SPEAKER_05Okay, he's he's been so close with Angel. He's been to more family Christmases than I have.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he was uh mad, dude. He's my brother's age, so that's kind of a huge reason that I think we get along. Yeah, and uh we listen to the same like pop pop punk. And then skateboarding. We're we're both huge into skateboarding. Nice, and he buys he actually bought me these. Shoe that I'm wearing right now. He buys me shoes every like year for Christmas. Shout out, Matt, dude. Let's get some of the snacks in here and do a little on-air taste.
SPEAKER_05That's an easy task for us today.
SPEAKER_04That'd be so I have easy to do. Yeah? Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Let's have him in.
SPEAKER_04Tell him to bring some snacks. We'll talk about that. He actually talked about it. He's like, when are you gonna have me on the show? Dude, get him in here with some snacks. Let's fully plug that shit. That sounds awesome. That'd be cool. We got like 10 followers, dude. We could boost them sales. I'm not we'll follow him right now. Five after we're done. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, he's got like 10 different flavors. Nice. And he's grown a lot in the like I think he's going on year five now. He's a Mexican dude. No, no, white. I'm black. Yeah. You guys can you guys can get along as a where's he from? Around here? Both white.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I do love whites. Yeah, he's Texas.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, I forgot. Fuck. I forgot what's it where he actually moved from.
SPEAKER_03I can't say stuff like that. He's not react. Sorry, what'd you say? I can't say I love whites, and then y'all just move on. Guys, I was joking. I love all people. It's okay.
SPEAKER_02I'm white. Look at me.
SPEAKER_03That's actually fucking crazy. I've never seen your upper arm. That's insanely white. That's a crazy farmer's tan, dude. That is nuts.
SPEAKER_01That's me. Hell yeah. That's just all. This is all a show.
SPEAKER_04That's funny. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Uh no, yeah, I've known Matt because of the brewery, Southern Star.
SPEAKER_05I got both of y'all beat on being white and just saying.
SPEAKER_01You white as hell.
SPEAKER_05And I can't tan.
SPEAKER_01Um also um yeah, uh Father's Day weekend. Uh so what what are you doing? You're dad? Astros game. Astro's game. Um and you want to know who that plug your dad real quick. So let's talk about it.
SPEAKER_05My dad, um big boy barbecue. He he actually does barbecue and cater. Um big boy barbecue. Um super good meat, and it is award-winning, so there's that. Um always delicious. Even though he criticizes himself. Um, I will actually be going to the house um probably on Monday after work to go see him. They're in Mississippi this weekend, but they'll be back. His name's Dirk.
SPEAKER_03What are they doing in Mississippi?
SPEAKER_05Um, they have land out there. They just bought some land. Um, so they're um they just got it started um like clearing it out so they can eventually build a ho build a house out there. Um a lot of my mom's family um kind of grew up out in Mississippi, and then that's where my granny used to live or spend her summers growing up, so that's where she's actually buried.
SPEAKER_03Do y'all still spell out Mississippi every time you hear it? Every time I hear it, I go M-I-S-S-I.
SPEAKER_01Every time I count, every time I count. Yeah, yeah, that's funny.
SPEAKER_03Sorry, continue.
SPEAKER_05In my brain, yes.
SPEAKER_01Um I just want to add too, I was like blessed enough and lucky enough to be in the funeral they'd let me carry her. Oh, the polar. That was uh that was my first time ever in Mississippi as well.
SPEAKER_05Nice. Yeah, that was cool. Yeah, so they're they're in Mississippi. Um and he he actually has cut down on his drinking. Um he was one of those where he would come up to the brewery and drink and hang out. Um he's been in my life for I don't even know how long. More than 20 years. So I actually took on his last name. Um he is not my bio dad, but he has definitely stepped up to the plate and been there for everything.
SPEAKER_03So he's not a stepdad, he's the dad that stepped up.
SPEAKER_05Yes, yes, he's one of those. He's one of those. Shout out, Dirk. His name's Dirk. Yes, D-I-R-K.
SPEAKER_04That's a great name. Big boy barbecue. I think of Dirk Novitsky every time I hear Dirk.
SPEAKER_05And um the the my bio dad dad can go fuck off. That's all I gotta say to that one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, bitch boy. You what's his name? What's his first name?
SPEAKER_05I'm not even mentioning his name. That's that's how much he can fuck off.
SPEAKER_03You hear that, Craig? We don't even care.
SPEAKER_01I guess it was Craig. Yeah, fuck that guy. I don't even know who Craig is, but Mindbeer Dad, who knows? That's bio. Yeah, yeah, fuck that guy. Yeah, shout out to all the dads. Shout out Dirk. Now, but yeah, my dad, I I think I I I said a little bit, but his name's Luis. Uh, he's the reason I love cooking and shit. He's the reason.
SPEAKER_04L-U-I-S Luis?
SPEAKER_01José Luis.
SPEAKER_04José Luis. José Luis Cárdenas Lopez. Good lord. My name's longer by one.
SPEAKER_01Say your full name, go. Ángel de Jesús Cárdenas Lopez. Good. Not even not even Lopez. I lied. I took that's his that's his name. Just throwing shit on. Ángel de Jesús Cárdenas Robles. Robles? C. That's my mom's maiden name.
SPEAKER_03Y'all put that at the end of your names? Uh yeah. I don't get how y'all's names work. I'm not gonna lie. I don't either. I just there. I just have it. Yeah. No, it's a mouthful. It is. Angel de Jesus.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, Angel of God.
SPEAKER_03Deus a. Oh yeah. Angel from God. Angel from God. Cardenas Aroblas. There's one I'm forgetting. There's something in between de Jesus and Cardenas. No? No? Angel de Jesus Cardenas Aroplas. That was that's a fucking tongue cleaner.
SPEAKER_01My dad's name is my middle name. Wade? Yeah. Jinx. Sorry, I thought about it. I was like, wait, as soon as I'm middle name, I was like, wait, I know this, I know this name. I know this.
SPEAKER_02Wade. Yeah. That's his name.
SPEAKER_01Okay. It's a sick name.
SPEAKER_02So are you considered a junior? No, that's just my middle name.
SPEAKER_01So not a junior. Semi-junior.
SPEAKER_03I guess, yeah.
SPEAKER_05No, it's kind of like how um October's name is his middle name is actually Dirk.
SPEAKER_03Dirt. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So it's it's Davin Lee Dirk Strauss.
SPEAKER_03Davin Lee Dirk Strauss.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so.
SPEAKER_02That sounds like something. That's long too, and he's white. That is a lot. Well, Davin Lee Dirk Strauss. He's got two middle names? Yes. He's got five. Forgot about October. It's true. Devin Lee Dirk October Strauss. Oh, that that rolls off. That could be his full rapper name.
SPEAKER_05He has two middle names because per the the traditions of Dirk's side of the family, he wanted to put the middle name as being Dirk. Yeah. Because Dirk's middle name is his dad's first name. Um, with that, Davin Dirk didn't roll, so they put Davin Lee Dirk, and that's how he has two middle names.
SPEAKER_03If he ever switches to country music, Davin Lee Strauss is a great country music name.
SPEAKER_05This fool is never gonna do country.
SPEAKER_03No?
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_03You never know. Who said that about Post Malone?
SPEAKER_05Well, well, I say that, but Dirk's actually kind of coming around to country music a little bit more and wearing boots and button-up shirts, and he actually is uh had some billboards out in Montgomery. Yeah. Um you could see his lovely big smile. Um He bought billboards out of Montgomery. No, no, no. Okay, so he is a manager for a bank. A bank that was hand having a grand opening. And so with that grand opening, they had uh at least two billboards going towards Montgomery with his face on. When was this? A couple months ago.
SPEAKER_01It wasn't that long ago. Like literally like a month, yeah, like two or one.
SPEAKER_05A month or two ago, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Does he have two jobs?
SPEAKER_05No. Well, no.
SPEAKER_03He's not he don't work at the bank anymore.
SPEAKER_05No, he okay, so he he's a bank manager, just a different bank.
SPEAKER_03I thought he am I tripping? You might be. Well, now I don't want to say what I'm thinking because I feel like I'm not listening well. And I feel like we're talking about a different person than I think we're talking about.
SPEAKER_05No, I oh works for a bank.
SPEAKER_03I thought he worked at Eggs Up Girl.
SPEAKER_05No, that's that's October.
SPEAKER_03I thought that's what we were talking about.
SPEAKER_05No, we're talking about Am I tripping? We're talking about Dirk.
SPEAKER_03Devin Lee Strauss is not October.
SPEAKER_05No, yes, he is. Who are we talking about?
SPEAKER_01We're talking about her dad again.
SPEAKER_05We're talking about Dirk. I probably should have been more clear about that.
SPEAKER_03No, you probably said it. I just I think with the Dirk in October, it's his name too. So at some point you switch and I just missed it. My bad. Okay, nice. So your daddy's on some billboards. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she was going back to the dad thing because yeah, my bad.
SPEAKER_03I yeah, my you can edit all that shit out. That was a complete fuck up.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm not doing that. Uh I just want to know do people need to know that's who you are? I got you. So whenever you guys see that uh that story on our Instagram, and I'm zooming in to Josh trying to show his picture, and he's looking all like he really thought I was trying to zoom in on his face. I really did.
SPEAKER_03I was like, please back off. No paparazzi. Yeah, okay. Shout out Dirk. He's on some billboards. Bank manager.
SPEAKER_01Sick gig. Speaking of sick gig, what do you think about dudes that are paying to get their ears look like cauliflower ears? Josh, tell me about that.
SPEAKER_03Tell me about that. What do you think about that?
SPEAKER_01As someone who has a cauliflower ear.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think it's a little silly. Uh I'm looking at the article now. Let me see here. What's going on? So go back up to the top real quick.
SPEAKER_01You can only get it in one place. Uh, okay. You can only yeah, you can only get it in Russia.
SPEAKER_03What is so how what are they doing? How are they doing it? Uh I mean sorry, I'm reading here. A Russian, a growing number of Russian men are paying to have their ears deliberately deformed to mimic the look of seasoned MMA fighters. Yeah, I mean, MMA's big in Russia. Wrestling is big in Russia, so I'm sure a vast probably not a big population or a big portion of the population is walking around with cauliflower ear, but definitely more than America, I would assume. Like, I bet you see a lot more cauliflower ear walking around in Moscow than you do like Houston.
SPEAKER_01You wanna bet? Oh, okay. Well, I bet, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but like I think it's bigger over there.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, I'm still reading. Um I mean there really isn't I was just bringing it up. Yeah, does it say the reason they're doing it?
SPEAKER_05Um literally just to the aesthetic of it? Uh uh no, actually to um imitate other intimidate other men.
SPEAKER_03So like fit in.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03To be the cool guy. Yeah, it looks like just to straight intimidate men. I'm gonna sound like a pussy when I say this because it's kind of a rite of passage in jujitsu to get cauliflower year. When I got mine, it hurt. It hurt so bad. It like it swolled up to the size of a golf ball. And for I kept training, you know, like quicker than I should. I wouldn't let it fully heal, and then I would re-aggravate it, but like it would it would wake me up in the middle of the night. Like I'd roll over and accidentally touch it, and it was so sensitive. It hurts so bad. It took like I think damn near like six months of not training to get it to finally harden up like it is now. Yeah, and if I still get it hit wrong, something hit it at work the other day, I dropped a board on it and it like aggravated it for like three days. Like it just sucks. You ever wonder though?
SPEAKER_01Like, now that reading that, like, do you think when guys see you, you're like, oh shit, I don't want to fuck with that guy.
SPEAKER_03I get comp or not compliment, I get comments on it regularly from like customers. They'll look at me and be like, Oh, do you train? And I go, Yeah, I guess. I guess you could say that. I don't know. I but I get weird about it.
SPEAKER_01But now really I guess thinking about though, like reading that now. It's like yeah, it's weird people probably think you're intimidating. I hope not. Which it's just I don't want to give that vibe. Which is crazy because you obviously not.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm not I'm not a threatening guy. I just I picked a weird hobby. But but yeah, no, I guess, yeah. I mean, if I see someone with cauliflower year, I definitely that you think that's my first thought. It's like, yeah, they train. They train. Yeah, you just go, oh, they've like, don't fuck with him. Yeah. That's my first thought. But like that's the thing, is like I got my cauliflower year. I trained I got it right when I moved to Conroe, and I had already been training for six years and I avoided it. But I've seen like a dude six months in get it. Like it if you some people are more susceptible to it, or like it just happens. Like, if you're training, it can happen. So like I've seen a guy, a white belt that was like six months in get caught in a guillotine, try to pull his head out, and it fucking swolled up, and now that dude's got cauliflower ear. But he's only been training six months, which is still like he trains, but like does that come with uh in the sign up or whatever?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you sign a waiver. A waiver? Yeah, is that in there?
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Wow. I'm sure all of them any like medical thing, bless you. Any like medical thing, I think, is included. Yeah, you sign a waiver just like any bodily damage, yeah. But like especially when it comes to getting choked out, like yeah, just shit like that. Or like you're you're consenting to yeah, like doing a sport that your arm may get bent up weird, and you know, yeah, that's not a problem. But like cauliflower ear, yeah, it sucks. But uh it is weird. I remember Steve O doing it back in the day. It's just a weird thing. I wouldn't I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, these guys are paying $80 to look tough. I'm pretty that's exactly what it says, but they're also risking spending twelve hundred dollars to get their ear rebuilt from scratch.
SPEAKER_05That's if they don't like it, or that's like reconstructive surgery for ears, or if for whatever reason there's like a medical complication behind it because there could be.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but you know, don't be a bitch. But I mean $80 to I'm self-conscious about it. I hate my cauliflower ear, but my ears also stick out more than the average Joe. So mine is very prominent. Have you felt it? Do you know what it feels like? No, dude, feel this thing. No, okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh well. All right, I did it on the show. Maybe I have one. Oh shit. I think you're right. Uh at their house warming party, I think. I think I did, yeah.
SPEAKER_05I'm good. Thank you though. But it's hard as shit. Especially not with Jeremy hands. Yeah, I appreciate you.
SPEAKER_01It's weird because it is very hard on the inside, but obviously you still get the squishiness of the skin, but like that's it. The rest is just straight. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05It's a lot of, I'm sure, like built-up cartilage. Um cartilage, once you damage it, um, it just as it tries to heal, it becomes very, very hard. Um, that's the reason why, like, example, if you let your if you get your ears pierced and you let the holes close, trying to re-pierce them is a bitch.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because it just it's a bunch of fluid. It's like, like I said, it was like the size of a golf ball. And I don't remember if I drained it. I think I did drain it at least once. I've helped a couple people drain it. You just get like an insulin needle and just pull the liquid out, and it's mostly blood. But yeah, I don't know. I don't know a lot about it. I don't really I never I was younger when it happened to me too. If it happened to me now, I would have handled it differently and probably wouldn't look as bad. I would have let it heal properly and like they have magnets that you can put on them that like kind of reshapes your ear in the proper form. But I mine looks like a chicken foot. Like I got like three, it's like a three-pronged little thing. It looks like shit. I didn't even I didn't even look at this. Look at it, look at it. It's a fucking bummer, dude. There's some gnarly ones, bro. Look up if you could look up on Google images. Um God. Oh, who is it? Why am I fucking blanking here? Um just look up, just look up uh cauliflower ear and look up uh MMA cauliflower ear and they'll they'll pop up. There's one I'm thinking of in specific, but like they get gnarly, dude. It's the lovely beauty of having the TV non now. Yeah, that's so exciting. Oh yeah, Kabib. Khabib Nerman made up. Look at that. The middle, the middle guy right there. Yeah, that's Kabib. Look at that fucking ear. That's a Dagestani wrestler. You talk about that's what the Russians, that's what they're trying to mimic. They're walking around trying to get cauliflower ear because there's Kabibs walking around.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, no, they're gnarly. Yeah, they get crazy. Shoot. I'd rather oh my god, I'd rather go on a weight journey, a weight loss fitness journey.
SPEAKER_03That's the that's the lightweight goat right there, dude. Lightweight goat right there? Khabib Narma Narmagamedov. From Dagestan. He's got a very funny, he's a funny dude. He's very serious, but um him and Daniel Cormier chat a lot. They were teammates, and uh, he's got this famous line where Daniel's talking about his son or like a young guy, and Khib just goes, Send him one, two years Dagestan and forget. Just send him and forget. And he'll come back a monster. Yeah, Kabib's the fucking man, the eagle.
SPEAKER_01So telling me about this, uh I didn't really watch it. I I only knew a little bit about it, uh, about the 250 UFC match.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so it's not UFC 250. They're already in the 300s of the UFC events, but it's because the 250th anniversary of it just called it's called UFC Freedom 250. Okay, so yeah, exactly. I don't know. So yeah, it's yeah, it was on the White House lawn, which is pretty fucking nuts. I like the way they built it. I saw the setup looks so fucking sick.
SPEAKER_05That's what that was for?
SPEAKER_03What?
SPEAKER_05The the okay, I've I saw a picture of like the the setup. Yeah, but uh I only like halfway scroll through shit if I'm being honest.
SPEAKER_03Um for Trump's birthday. It was on his birthday and it happened to be on his birthday. Oh, he's a huge fan, right? So they did it for his birthday. That's why they did it on a Sunday rather than they're always on Saturdays, but they did it on a Sunday so it could be on Trump boys' birthday. There were seven fights, it wasn't like a full event. They handpicked seven fights and they all ended in KO or TKO.
SPEAKER_01Nice. What happened with the one with uh uh O'Malley?
SPEAKER_03Did he win? Yeah, I was falling asleep and I haven't re-watched a lot of them. I didn't re-watch his yet. I saw that he was getting pieced up, and then it says right there. There was a controversial finish because he knocked him down and the guy kind of cradled from what I've heard, the guy kind of uh curled up and started defending, but O'Malley walked off and then they called the fight because he looked so confident in the walk-off. But the guy is disputing it, I think, because he was like, No, I was defending myself, I just got knocked down. I don't know, I haven't watched it, but I saw a clip where uh he should have followed up and should have kept kept hitting him on the ground until the ref pulled him off. That's how you do it properly. But O'Malley was obviously he's a highlight guy, he's trying to make a highlight, which I don't blame him. Look up Diego Lopez. Just look up UFC Freedom 250, leave that, and then Diego Lopez.
SPEAKER_01I saw a little interview clip of um O'Malley talking about where damages who was walking next to him who was walking out with them. Uh they all walked out with them, right? With every single fighter. There was like Secret Service and stuff. I forgot what this guy was, but he was walking too fast. O'Malley likes to go slow, like to go epically slow. And then he was like, Man, this guy's walking too fast for me, but I had to keep up. He's like, Oh, really? Like I had to.
SPEAKER_03So there's a shot. Look at all right, it's right in the middle with him standing on the cage with the White House in the background. That's the sickest fucking shot ever. How sick is that? Oh, yeah, that's pretty dope. It's so dope. Good for him. I think he's a local dude. I think Diego's uh he trains locally, I'm pretty sure.
SPEAKER_01I think you need your fingers to zoom in.
SPEAKER_03That's so dope, dude. Yeah, that's a really cool thing. That was the first fight of the night. That was the opening fight.
SPEAKER_01I like the way they had that hole just above the lighting.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the lighting fixtures. It looked sick. That was cool. There was like 6,000 people directly there, like in that crowd, but then there was I forget what it was called, something right behind the White House where there was like a watch party and there was 80,000 people there. 80,000? 80,000 in person, yeah. Right behind all that, yeah. I'd be there. If I was local. If we were there, yeah. Yeah, why not? Pay a hundred bucks to go fucking basically watch fights on the White House lawn. You're just watching them on a screen because you didn't pass the security clearance. But like that's a sick photo, though. It's I mean, it's the coolest fucking that better be framed in his house already. That's gotta be blown up on his yeah, that's gotta be the coolest feeling ever. That dude's a monster. Yeah, dude. That's a great pick. Yeah, people are bummed out about it. Whatever. We don't talk politics here, but like it was a good event.
SPEAKER_01What else happened uh that day?
SPEAKER_03Or something else. Oh, yeah, it was his birthday. We said that already, my bad. I think it was on his actual birthday, that's why they did Sunday. I could be wrong, but like I'm not positive. That's what I heard. Him and Dana White are like best friends. Sounds like they're very uh very close. Um, um, nom nom nom nom. Sorry. We gotta get we gotta get used to this, not getting distracted by the TV. Yeah, that's what's throwing me off. I know I'm just I'm watching. I'm like the fight.
SPEAKER_05Sorry for y'all. Um I can't spell where shit.
SPEAKER_03So June 14th. So yeah, that was I think that was a Sunday. Yes. Yes, so yeah, that was honest. 80th birthday. Good lord. That's old as shit. 80. That's old. Dang.
SPEAKER_01I didn't know I didn't know he was that old. And he's running our country. Other don't they don't get into this.
SPEAKER_05Don't even how they're that's all I'm starting. That's that's it. That's all I gotta say.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they all are. Biden was like 83. It's a bummer. They're all so fucking old.
SPEAKER_01Hey, Biden gave us Juneteenth. I was off on Friday. Which is why Is that a federal holiday now? Which is why I asked you if you were off. Oh, I didn't know that. I asked if you're off because I thought you were off.
SPEAKER_05Oh no, we don't uh I believe it just became a federal holiday. You're a home company. Two to three years ago, if I'm not mistaken.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I didn't know that. Damn, so like the banks were closed because of Juneteenth? Really?
SPEAKER_02Yes, church is closed. That's cool. Schools, if school was happening right now, but there's no school happening.
SPEAKER_03Oh, good for them. I mean black people when I say them. That's cool. When was it? 2021.
SPEAKER_05Damn, how did how did I miss that?
SPEAKER_03I know five years ago already? Damn, yeah.
SPEAKER_05I know banks didn't start observing it until about three years ago. Okay. Um, I was still in banking when it got announced. Oh yeah, Juneteenth's now a federal holiday for us. Nice. Which I'm not in banking anymore, so I had to work.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's particularly big in Texas because it was like Galveston is when it all that was where it happened.
SPEAKER_01That might be why it's like bigger here for yeah. I mean, the banks and shit.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. That's cool though. Sorry. Alright, I gotta stop looking at the fucking TV. Alright, I'm just looking at MMA fucking records now.
SPEAKER_01I'm thinking of ways of like to go to just make the studio better. I think we need to get more of these.
SPEAKER_03I might have to paint all the walls black. You wanna paint the walls? I want to do so much. I do, I I do too. It looks so sick. It's getting me so excited. I feel like uh I feel like we had another row of these above it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Man, this looks good. I need to get uh more. I'm willing to I told B I was like I'm willing to spend money on this bitch. I wish this fucking room didn't get so hot, man.
SPEAKER_05Would we throw panels behind me?
SPEAKER_03Everywhere. Yeah. On each wall. Yeah, definitely. Or sound no. That sounds like it looks pretty sick. I actually don't mind how it looks. Does it look pr I mean it looks a little informal, but like no, not really. I think it looks good.
SPEAKER_01It doesn't look informal at all. It's just because the cables, uh the you know the plugins behind it.
SPEAKER_03I love it.
SPEAKER_01Um sorry. As you can tell, listeners were in awe. It looks great.
SPEAKER_03I think it looks so sick.
SPEAKER_01Uh that's good. What uh what else did it hold on?
SPEAKER_03Let me pull up shit. My bad, my bad, my bad.
SPEAKER_01All right, we talked dads. We talked about it. Speaking of speaking of government and stuff, I think uh we're talking about uh a weed. Weed is now uh not scheduled as the dangerous. It's not scheduled uh it's not schedule one, it's not schedule one and now you can buy stocks in it. So I think you're gonna buy some stocks in it? I don't know how that works, so probably not. I literally have no idea that works. I just know that if it if that's true, then that's gonna show the the the people, the government, how much like money they could have been making already in other countries in other yeah, yeah, not countries but uh states that don't it's really only like two or three states. I really don't know how how many states have it legalized, but I think it's quite a bit now.
SPEAKER_03Even like recreationally, I think it's like fifteen or twenty. It's a lot. Which is that yeah. It's a lot. That's it should be I mean it should be all of them, but like yeah, it's a lot. And then medicinally is quite a bit more. Medicinally, I think it's the higher one. Yeah, but then I think the ones that don't have it legalized at all, Texas, right? Right. Is one of them. Yeah, well, they don't have it. Well, now that it's federal, that's different. But like before that.
SPEAKER_01Right now they're going through some yeah, right.
SPEAKER_03Before that there's I don't I don't know enough about it, but like yeah.
SPEAKER_01From right from right now, I I know that they're I think they can still sell the THCA stuff until July, the end of July. Yeah, that's as far as I know right now. Huh.
SPEAKER_05It's legal, not medically. Um, it is just base legal in 24 states as of right now.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Getting there. I'm just curious. I'm just curious to see the stock thing because now that that's a huge that's huge for what's what they talked about.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that was taxes, I was gonna say, with Colorado. Because yeah, federal, that's when you can do stocks. That makes sense. Right. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Yeah, that'll be cool. That'll be cool. It's just a whole new like influx of money for the I mean we don't smoke anymore, but uh like for it's still a big part of culture.
SPEAKER_01It's a huge thing. A lot of pottheads.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And then there's only gonna be more. I think people just realize that it's a safer option, so I think people are gonna be smoking weed.
SPEAKER_01Not only that, like older people too are realizing too, like just the C B D stuff like is like good for them.
SPEAKER_03I know a couple old stoners that were like pretty anti-weed that now smoke like regularly. For real. It's just you just live and you learn, I guess. I don't know. It's a weird thing. Y'all watch Love Island?
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_03No. Fucking love.
SPEAKER_01Remind me when who's the host of that?
SPEAKER_03Garbage. Uh, right now the host is Ariana Maddox from Vanderpombs. It's the trashiest TV, dude. They just put a bunch of hot people on an island and are like make relationships. And then let's sabotage these relationships. Can I pull you for a chat? You ever hear that? That's from that can I pull you for a chat?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I don't know if I've ever heard that, but that's such a good show.
SPEAKER_01We're uh we're uh we're actually watching a new guy right now. It's financial audits, but uh Caleb Hammer. Yeah, you know who that is?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, these people are fucking stupid.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he just went on Rogan too. Yeah, he did. He did have a uh he's getting big. Yeah, he's got a cool channel. He's getting big, and that and that channel too, it also it helps you with your money and shit. Yeah, you can subscribe to Yeah, he seems like a smart dude. And he's hilarious. Well, like he's just on he's just honest. Yeah, he's just mean, he's brutally honest. Yeah, he's mean, but the people the people sign up for it. They need it, they know what they're signing up for, and like so like a big one with them uh when it comes to their weight, if they're fat and he doesn't want them to talk about him, like that they he tell the the people tell them on the contract, please don't make fun of my weight, or please don't make fun of this. Oh, really? But if they don't say anything, it's fair game. Yeah. And they don't know what they're signing up for.
SPEAKER_03He talks about people's weight, even if they're just coming for financial advice.
SPEAKER_01A big part of their weight thing is because a big part of the sorry, is because uh they spend a lot of money on fast food, a lot of I got you a lot of this, a lot of bad shit, a lot of yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05He says miscellaneous bullshit, um essentially like gas station chips for snacks, drinks, whatever. And then he um he plugs gamer subs a lot.
SPEAKER_01Which is his I don't know if it's his, but like uh it's like a hydration powder mix or uh Oh yeah, we talked about that a coffee, yeah. Coffee, not coffee, but caffeine. Yeah. Have we I don't know if we've talked about this guy specifically.
SPEAKER_03Maybe not. I remember hearing gamersups. Is that just a term?
SPEAKER_01I mean, uh spin around, I guess. Huh. We've never talked about it.
SPEAKER_03I thought we had. Maybe maybe someone else would tell me about it. Maybe Tristan? Probably. Maybe Tristan.
SPEAKER_01Shout out Tristan.
SPEAKER_03Shout out Tristan. We gotta get him on the pod. Yeah. Maybe. Probably not, actually. Fuck him. You say that every time every time I think about it for more than 10 seconds or yeah, it'd probably suck, actually.
SPEAKER_01Uh no, but dude, the the the Caleb Hammer guy, uh, yeah, he brings the weight because of that. That's that's part of the show. Yeah. Like if you're fat, he's gonna make fun of you. Hell yeah. And it's funny because he's fucking again, brutally honest. Brutal, like so brutal. And the whole time, too, he's like, shut the fuck up, go like uh in the middle of the show. Like he'll just be like, shut up, go go, well, like whatever. Yeah. Or like uh Bree likes the way he yells. Like he'll like tell them to be like, call your dad. Like, no, call your dad. And he does it with a lot, like with a bunch of different shit.
SPEAKER_05Yesterday we watched one where um the guy has been fired from like four different jobs. One of them happened to be banking.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. Okay, little quick before anytime I hear anything, anytime about banking, I'm like, all right, what's Brie gonna say? Yeah, because she for the listeners, Brie worked in breaking if you guys don't remember. I don't know if she said it already.
SPEAKER_05For almost a decade. She did.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Anyways.
SPEAKER_05With that, this guy was like, Oh yeah, I've been fired from this place for this. And I think two or three of them out of the four were like medical, where he fucked up giving the right vials of blood or whatever, messed up charts whatever fuck-ups that could have been avoided. This dumbass said that he got fired from banking for being one penny off on his fucking drawer. And that's a load of shit.
SPEAKER_01And as soon as I heard that, I was like, oh, what's Rick got to say? Like instant. Instantly. She was like, boom. So I don't know what the fuck was.
SPEAKER_05It's fucking bullshit. You're not gonna get fired for one penny off in your fucking drawer. Okay, yes, you might get talked to. Yes, that's something that you need to work on. But one penny in your drawer one fucking day is not gonna fuck you over and get you fired. You did something fucking stupid, or this has been a multiple mistake issue. But as I'm going off on him, so is Caleb. Yeah. So I don't even know what he's saying because I'm ranting at him. Knowing that he can't hear me, but I do this often.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that guy's a liar. Being like one penny. It's like, no, that's not true.
SPEAKER_01And he plays Roblox. It's his number one game. Well, I mean, that's a fucking loser. Sketch. No, this guy was no job. No job. Plays Roblox. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um I don't even know. I still make the joke every time whenever my mom will be like, what do you want for your birthday? I go, Roblox. I want Robux. Robux. I've never played Roblox. I go, I want V-Bucks. I want Robux.
SPEAKER_05Money for Fortnite.
SPEAKER_03I need Fortnite money.
SPEAKER_02Give me a battle pass.
SPEAKER_04I used to, I used to want V-Bucks all the time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I used to I used to play Fortnite.
SPEAKER_04Are you hopping on the video games anymore? Nope. I told you. You said you were gonna. Then I haven't.
SPEAKER_01No, I need to. That means I need you to have it.
SPEAKER_03I don't want to, I guess. Yeah, true.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I'd love to, but apparently I don't want to. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04We need to hop on some Vidigames together. That'd be fun. Xbox is all. Oh, you have Xbox? You have PS4? I got PS5.
SPEAKER_03PS5? All I have is Xbox.
SPEAKER_05Y'all probably need to find games that y'all both like.
SPEAKER_03Call of Duty, bro. Cross-platform.
SPEAKER_05While y'all do that, I'll go share.
SPEAKER_03Modern Warfare. Not a Modern Warfare. What's the one? Uh what's the one? Black Ops? No, the one Warzone, where everyone's in the fucking bubble. Oh, okay. It's like Fortnite. It's like a Battle Royale type. Used to play some Warzone. Yeah. It's fun. Would you play Fortnite? I have, and it's I don't if I feel like if I got more into it, maybe, but I don't know. I don't like the uh too childish. Yeah, I don't want to say that because I sound like a dickhead. But yeah, I don't like the whole like bright colorful type thing. It's just not for me. It feels very bubbly.
SPEAKER_01I haven't played since chapter one, season three. No, sorry. That's when I first started.
SPEAKER_03I played about a year ago, and I was just like I played with some guys that were they're good and like have played.
SPEAKER_01I don't know, it just wasn't for me. I didn't like it. Yeah, now they're like on chapter seven, season something, but like a lot has changed. There's so much shit now compared to how it was when I started playing. It just seems so fucking chaotic. Yeah. That's that's my problem now. Like when I see, I'm like, I don't know if I I'll be able to remember all that. Yeah, it seems like a lot to learn. Or a lot, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But like Warzone's the same way, but I just I don't know. I like them it feels more real. Like it's real guns and like shit like that. I don't know. It's almost it kind of comes back to like the how I don't like animated movies that much. I don't know what that roadblock is in my head, but I do have something where I'm like, I don't know, it's just not real enough. Which is dumb. I know that. Oh yeah, I get it. Like I get that I sound like a pretentious dickhead when I say that, and I I wish I didn't, but there's something about it where I'm just like, I don't know. I don't want to watch an animated movie, I don't want to play Fortnite. I don't know. We'll find something we can play though.
SPEAKER_01You like sports video games at all? Uh I used to play soccer, I used to play FIFA. I used to play FIFA, I used to play NFL Blitz, I used to play I used to play everything, to be honest. NFL Blitz fucking ruled. I was a skateboarding uh like all of them.
SPEAKER_03I got Tony R, Pro Skater. I might have to play that. Oh, you gotta go.
unknownFucking hey, man.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna play video games. That'd be cool next week before we record. What time is it?
SPEAKER_01We could hook it up in here that bad. Watch. I was telling, dude, dude, let's uh let's uh let's try to bring it into existence as far as like making more content. I know. Let's uh let's do it. I'm going live. Let's uh you're going live right now? No. I don't know how. I was like, don't right now after 54 minutes?
SPEAKER_03Like, no. No, we're gonna make more content. And I before I forget, I wanted to do this. Uh Tristan and Jacob, they haven't put out a podcast recently. But um shout out Lazy Thinkers. Oh, Lazy Thinkers. But then Jacob has a side gig that he's doing. He's detailing cars, and I want he did ours, and I wanted to shout him out. Um Beyond Detail. Nice. Go beyond detail at gmail.com 281-971-7759. That's Jacob Wheeler. He's good at what he does. I promise. We just paid him to do our uh Rev, and it looked great, smells great. For real, though. He's trying to get something off the ground, and I always support beyond what? Entrepreneurial entrepreneurial entrepreneurial efforts. Entrepreneurial. Is he young? Yes. How young? Twenty-five, I think. Same Tristan's graduated with Tristan. Not too young, but I mean he's there. He's lit. He is in banking. He's a banker. And uh he's got a side gig he's trying to do, and he's pretty passionate about it, it seems. And he's good at it.
SPEAKER_01So he's got the equipment.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he's got a full setup. He showed up and didn't need anything except my water hookup. Water hookup, that's usually all they need, yeah. And it was good.
SPEAKER_01Same thing with like a same thing with uh what pressure washer people. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03He had a generator. He did use my power hookup, but he had a generator if I didn't have one. Um, but I was like, no, I have a plug. But no, he's good at what he does and beyond detail. Shout him out. So I'll tag him in uh I think he has an Instagram page too.
SPEAKER_05Anything to get out of banking.
SPEAKER_03Right. He's good at that too, man. He's he looks great in a suit. He's like a he's like a well-dressed, well-kept guy. He's he's like a button. He's a handsome boy, tall, handsome, skinny boy. And um, shout out Jacob.
SPEAKER_01Shout out Jacob. I uh was watching uh earlier, me and Bree were watching. Speaking of entrepreneurial, I tried a one point uh how the fuck did you nail that like that? Entrepreneurial.
SPEAKER_03How the fuck did I damn I can't say that?
SPEAKER_01Entrepreneurial. Um I tried not I tried, I got my real estate license, but it didn't work. And then uh at the same time I was trying to get a I bought a vending machine. Oh, really? Um, this was all two at the same time around Southern Star. Okay. So I've heard of a couple people.
SPEAKER_03Did you put one in somewhere? Did you put that one in?
SPEAKER_01Well, the problem is uh the the the vending machine I bought was cheap, and it was cheaper reasons because I don't make parts for it anymore. That's sucks. So I never went in, it went never went in anywhere. Yeah. The vending part worked, but it was a half and half. It had drinks, like refrigeration, and then just regular snacks. Okay. But it you know, I didn't want to put it out with just snacks. Yeah, so you never actually got it in anywhere. No, I never I had a location, yeah. It was the brewery. Okay. They were cool with it, they were cool with it as long as I got it fixed up, whatever, did everything on my own. How does that work? Do you because I've thought about doing vending machines too? I mean you buy like claw machines. So yeah, the well, that's different. Claw machines, you have to have an automatic location. You gotta have already like a you have to have like a shit. Claw machines different. That's okay. Well, never mind. Let's talk about vending machines then. Claw machine's different because you have to already own like an arcade place or rent it to somebody who owns an arcade place. Well, you could put them in like restaurants.
SPEAKER_03Or that yeah, or that, like uh like or like an even at a brewery, like you can put a you could put a claw machine at a brewery. Right. Yeah, I guess it just depends on the place. Yeah. Like you wouldn't put one in a fucking uh even well, yeah, yeah, like an H E B, but I think they do all their in-house stuff. They do their in-house. But like you know, like a grocery store or something, but like I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like Willis Supermarket does it. Yes, yeah, exactly. I think yeah, completely forgot about that. As soon as you said that, I was like, as soon as I thought about it, I was like, wait, never mind, that's wrong.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. But like vending machines, yeah. I've thought about doing that kind of stuff. It seems like a good gig. My ag teacher in high school, he owned a limo service and vending machines, and he that's how he like made his fortune. He like did well, but he he taught us ag ag science as a uh hobby. He was a full-time teacher as a hobby. Shout out Mr. Jones, dude from Tarleton. Not Tarleton, that's the uh that's the college there, Stephenville, Texas. Tarleton. Tarleton State University.
SPEAKER_01Uh so with vending machines, you gotta have a location. Yeah, you're gonna find one. And then you gotta rent it out. Or already have one. Yeah. Or and that they'll either rent you the space or you can offer to give them a certain percentage of your sales of each month. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is what a lot of people do. Like I'll give you like 10% or like 20 25% of what I make this each month. Yeah. So that that's that's your way of paying their rent.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that makes sense. Um yeah, I feel like it's the margins are just so small on that that that's why when you hear someone has a vending machine company, they go, Yeah, I have 40 vending machines. You know, oh okay, that's how you're making money off this. That makes sense. Right.
SPEAKER_01Oh I mean, what we got? Um Olive. Fucking olive. Vending machines, if you get the right snacks, whatever, whatever, you can uh you can make average like 700 bucks like a month.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's pretty good.
SPEAKER_01Just that's residual. This is like size residual. Yeah, you're just yo, Olive, get the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_03Olive, Olive, go. You smell bad.
SPEAKER_01So the reason the another reason I want to kind of get into it now is because the my job does not have one. Oh really? And there's people walking in that place like all day, every day.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and it's like twelve acres long, too, so they need some hydration.
SPEAKER_01Well happened. Yeah, but like the building I'm talking about is like meant it's it's used as a venue for like receptions and yeah. Have you talked to them about it? I no, you should. But I'm I want to have them I want to have it all ready. Yeah, ready have a game plan. Have a game plan, yeah. The hardest part though is moving those bitches. Yeah. You're not you're never supposed to lay them down. And they're always 700 plus pounds. Jesus. So it's never easy.
SPEAKER_03How do you think you gotta like rent a truck then?
SPEAKER_01So last year or not last year, when I had mine, I uh borrowed my brother's I forgot whose trailer it was actually. Like a trailer and then uh we rolled it on top with uh uh with a dolly. Yeah but we laid it down. That was another fuck though. That was another fuck up.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well, especially one with refrigerant, I'm assuming, right? Because with the drinks and shit you with the coils and everything. And then we drove fridges either. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And we drove it from spring. Um then we drove it straight to the brewery. Actually. Was it my mom's wasn't it in my mom's first?
SPEAKER_05No, straight to the brewery because your mom wouldn't have had anywhere to put it. Yeah, you're right. There was no space.
SPEAKER_01What were you gonna put in it? I mean, just the normal shit. Yeah. Uh but at the time I was thinking like stuff that drunk people would want. That makes sense out of brewery. I've always thought about doing a health food one. And then but then also uh uh our brewery, you know, is family friendly, so kids a lot of snacks for kids and shit like that. Yeah, that makes sense. But yeah, this vending machine I had uh is one that they would have in schools. The to go snacks or healthy something. They all had one brand name. Oh, okay. Yeah, that'd be cool. I still want to do that. Gotta get this like up and coming. I mean up and going.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Let that olive let that end.
SPEAKER_03Probably fucking dick. Big ass mosquito hawk flying around. Dude, our studio looks so fucking sick. It really does, man. It's so sick. I can't get over it either. It's exciting. This is literally the start. Where do you get more stuff on the wall? It's not fun enough in here. We needed more fun. We got the guitars. We got the moon landing thing allegedly. We got the dog pillows. Allegedly. We got a weirdly like philosophical thing.
SPEAKER_01I have some stuff to hang up if you want. I'm pretty sure it can bring up.
SPEAKER_03I don't know.
SPEAKER_05Oh, we have a whole office of a random stuff that it's definitely fun.
SPEAKER_03I think we need to get some random shit up on the wall. Like wrestling posters and shit like that. You got Bebis and Butthead I can bring over here. Might need a little B and B on there, dude. That'd be sick. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. That needs to come down. That's dumb as fuck. I don't know why that's in here. That's a stupid thing to have in a fucking podcast studio. We're learning.
SPEAKER_05Probably because your wife put it up there before this was a podcast studio.
SPEAKER_03That was the office. This is her reading nook. Sorry, Brianna, calling you out. Yeah, it's fine. I think we're gonna end it there though.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Are you cool with that?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I just we were gonna shout out USA and Mexico soccer teams. Oh, yeah, shout out to them. FIFA. Yeah. Shout out FIFA, shout out World Cup, shout out America, shout out Mexico. Let's go. That was it. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01No, for real though. Mexico, Mexico's winning, USA's winning.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, it's good times.
SPEAKER_01It's fun.
SPEAKER_03I think we're doing it right. USA's going to the knockout round for the first time since 2010. So that's cool. That's cool. It's exciting for the country. See, I don't know stuff like that. I read that literally right before we came in here. I don't know what the knockout round is. I don't know what that means, but I'm repeating it because that's cool.
SPEAKER_02Are we gonna go with the Simpsons the prediction? What is that? They they predicted one?
SPEAKER_01A long time ago, Frank.
SPEAKER_02Oh, there's another one.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01The Simpsons has that whole, like, they got a record of doing that. They they predict I don't know how true it is, though, because I think Portugal's doing not doing very well. I don't know. Portugal and Mexico.
SPEAKER_02In 2026? Supposedly. Why did they predict that? They just had an episode randomly where 2026 World Cup was on?
SPEAKER_01They didn't actually say, I don't think it said the year. That's the weird part. It just said this is what's gonna happen this year. Okay. Which is weird. I'm like, how the fuck didn't you think but yeah. Anyways, they said who? Mexico and Portugal? Portugal.
SPEAKER_04Mexico y Portugal.
SPEAKER_01Ayy. You saw that? For the listeners that want to know, Josh literally just grabbed a mosquito.
SPEAKER_05Mosquito Hawk.
SPEAKER_03Mosquito Hawk, that big boy.
SPEAKER_01I got him in my hand right now. Oh.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna let him out. I thought he was a good one. Oh I didn't crush him. I'm gonna let him out. Oh, okay, good. Oh yeah. I thought you crushed him. No, no, no. I got him in my hand. We're about to wrap up, so I'm gonna let him outside. We can only crush the studio, not in a good way. Did we are crushing? We crushed the podcast, we crushed the fucking studio, we crushed our Saturday so far. I'm about to go crush some wings, I think, tonight. That's exciting. We're about to go crush some tortas ahogadas.
SPEAKER_05Maybe clear out some of my sinuses with all that spice.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you're gonna be sniffling, dude.
SPEAKER_05Good.
SPEAKER_03Did I do better with the mic this time, Angel?
SPEAKER_01Yes, sir. Thank you. Yes, sir.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01We'll tell this next time we'll leave them on a cliffhanger. Episode 15 next week.
SPEAKER_04Interesting. Uh-huh. Episode 15. Episode 15. We might have to get our quintanera. We're gonna have to do something special. 15's a big one. It's our quintaniera. It's our quintanera. And you're Mexican. The quintaniera. We gotta make something.
SPEAKER_03Maybe we wear dresses. And then our sweet 16 because you're white. Oh my goodness gracious. We got cool stuff coming up. We might have to have a party in here. We're gonna do something fun for the 15th. What can we do? 15 themed. We'll talk about this off air, right?
SPEAKER_01Hey. Thank you guys for listening. We out.
SPEAKER_00On that new frequency dialogue. Royal Street Sessions where the vibes begin with hosts, angels, and jobs.
