Royal Street Sessions.
SPEAKER_06Welcome, welcome, welcome, everybody. We are here, episode 17, Royal Street Sessions. We are here.
SPEAKER_00Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_06Where are you at, Josh? 17 seems like a low number when you hear it, but that's a long time. You know, the past two episodes have been birthdays. I don't really care about their 17th birthday.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, well, we it's like, nah, never mind. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, 17's not a big one. I mean, uh, it's you know, it's like that Zach Gaffron movie, 17 again. Yeah, yeah. I don't care. Is that where you switch his bodies? I think so, yeah.
SPEAKER_05He's hot.
SPEAKER_06He becomes 17 again.
SPEAKER_05Dude, he's unbelievably attractive.
SPEAKER_06We've talked about him before, right? Probably. I talk about him a lot. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Well, the gym was during Ironclaw. He got that like surgery. Because he fell on the face.
SPEAKER_06He hit his face on the edge of the counter. Really? Oh, I think we talked about that with the other podcast. Fucking dick eggs. Damn, that's all. But that's but yeah, he had to get surgery because of his he hit his fucking jaw on the counter of the in the kitchen counter. Whatever it was, it works. Um I don't know how we got to him. Yeah, I do. 17 again. Crazy body. We're here, 17. He does have a crazy body, though. He does, he does. He's so jacked.
SPEAKER_05Um, anyways, I wanted to uh he's the right amount of hairy, too. You know what I mean? Like he's got chest and stomach hair, but it's not like to a gross level. I think I need to see a recent picture. Chad Gabri. We're getting fired up early in this episode.
SPEAKER_06I'm very confused. Full of Zach Ephron. I mean, I'm body portfolio.
SPEAKER_00Okay, well, while I do that.
SPEAKER_06No, I can't be doing two separate things.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm gonna get distracted.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna start bringing stuff up. I'm gonna I need to see the boy. So um you know, you know, uh sorry.
SPEAKER_06You know uh Zach Efron, right? He made us a song.
SPEAKER_05Zach Efron, what are we doing? Look at that, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh my goodness, gracious, dude. That that's current, dude.
SPEAKER_06He's ridiculous.
SPEAKER_05Oh my goodness, gracious.
SPEAKER_06I mean, he's always had a great body. That's the one I remember from Iron Call. Yeah, yeah. With the blue towel.
SPEAKER_05Did he go back down to for another movie? That's definitely like he got on HGH or something. His gut is it's big there. And then the one two to the right, he looks. Is that current? That seems to be more current.
unknownGolly.
SPEAKER_05Jesus jacked. But look at that hair, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_06Like what about the one with the blonde hair to the left? On the dock? Yeah. I mean, he's still there. He is insane. He's literally still there. 2017 from Baywatch.
unknownGolly.
SPEAKER_06Oh. Alright. Okay. I'm not gay. Clearly. We're not gay. I don't know. We have wives. We have wives, clearly. We're uh we're comfortable with our sexuality. Zach makes me a little uncomfortable with it.
SPEAKER_05Not gonna lie. That dude's so hot. Emma! No, no, no. Don't tell her, don't tell her.
SPEAKER_06No, she knows. All right, we're gonna we're gonna switch the subject. Uh, I want to get your reaction. Uh uh, you know our friend October. Shout out October. Okay. October's Vault. Uh October's Vault on Instagram with uh with a zero.
SPEAKER_00I I think that helped him uh ease a little bit.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Anyways, he wrote. All right, here he goes. I mean I mean not bad for that's not bad. Not bad, right? I'll go. Yeah, that's not bad. He got me.
SPEAKER_00That was a quick tap in for him.
SPEAKER_06That was good. We literally, I asked her, I was like, hey, will you ask him to do this 30 minutes later? Really? 30 minutes later.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06He was in the studio. He was he was cooking.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_06He was cooking. Yeah, no, it's I like the end. Like when you hear this song, you know, Street Sessions is on. Yeah, no, it's good. I don't know. He he definitely gave me that juice world vibe. Are we uh but uh I really liked it. Are we gonna use that for something? I think we're gonna use it every once in a while, just like I do at the end with the the intro, outro songs, whatever.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Uh but yeah. But you liked it. Yeah, no, it was good. I was like, I'm gonna wait.
SPEAKER_00Is that what you were expecting?
SPEAKER_06No. What were you expecting? I don't know. Not October.
SPEAKER_05No, definitely not. I don't know what I'll I don't yeah. I don't know with y'all. It could have been a fucking shitty knock-knock joke.
SPEAKER_00It could have, you know, y'all are fucking So for the listeners. Um we were talking about the the little jingle just now um prior to recording, not letting Josh know what is going on at all.
SPEAKER_05Teasing me. And so I sit in between these two. They're just looking at each other, giggling, looking at their phones, go, did I send it to you? Did you send it to me? Where is it? And then he'd play a second of it and I go, What is that, Angel? And he goes, Shut up, don't you don't worry about it yet. You know we don't talk until we're on the mic. Is it like sorry?
SPEAKER_06Is that what Phil?
SPEAKER_05That's the vibe I was getting. I let you play with my brass knuckles and you wouldn't even let me play with the jingle. He even gave me a harm harmless harvest drink.
SPEAKER_06I gave you a harmlhar I sifted out the pulpit.
SPEAKER_00I was gonna say he even drained strained the pulp for me.
SPEAKER_04I strained the pulp. And I let you play with my brass nooks.
SPEAKER_00Much appreciated.
SPEAKER_06This is all out of love, just so you know.
SPEAKER_05I know. I'm just joking. No, that's cool. Thank you, October. Thank you. Thank you, Sir Devin. Very nice.
SPEAKER_06Oh man. No, I really just I told Bree I did, I was like I really do want to just get his reaction and see what it's like. I was like, I think you'll like it. He listens to he listens to rap and stuff.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06No, it's good. But yeah, I'd I'd probably use it for our outro songs, like we have been. Different ones.
SPEAKER_05If he makes us something like really catchy, we could use a new intro.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I mean I wouldn't mind having a new intro too. Yeah. That wasn't a nod a tap in, that was not a tap-in for me. It took me a long time, but Yeah. It took me a long time. You're not going to be able to do that. No, I don't dislike it. I'm just saying, like eventually it's fine. No. No, I wouldn't mind having I wouldn't mind having options.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Shit. Let's make another one. Let's do it right now. Let's make an intro right now. Brie has a share voice. Let's do it with her.
SPEAKER_05Oh, what?
SPEAKER_06Share voice.
SPEAKER_05What does that mean? Like the the singer share. Do you do share at karaoke?
SPEAKER_00Um, no, actually, I don't. You believe laugh after love. The way that my voice is able to adapt to certain artists is uh is not easy for all.
SPEAKER_05Give us some share.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_05No, no, you can't just do it like that. Do it.
SPEAKER_00We gotta set up a karaoke night though.
SPEAKER_05I don't do karaoke. We'll do it. You gotta do it now. We'll have to do it in here. I haven't done it. We haven't done it in who knows how long now. I've done karaoke once in my life, and I was drunk at my sister's grad party, I think, is when I did it.
SPEAKER_00Most people are drunk when they're karaoke.
SPEAKER_05I'll have to be. I'll have to be drunk.
SPEAKER_06I was like, we don't drink, we're not drinking right now, but we would for that. Hell yeah. But you what would I karaoke at your songs that you're exactly songs you know. I do love some songs.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_06But he threw me off yesterday with a the T.I. T.I. and Rihanna.
SPEAKER_05Y'all did karaoke last night? No, no, no.
SPEAKER_06We were walking on the walk.
SPEAKER_00We were walking after work, um, and he played a TI song, and I started jamming to it, and he was like, You should add this to your to your karaoke list. I was like, Yeah, people are a little surprised when What song?
SPEAKER_05Live Your Life? You said T.I. Rihanna? Yeah. Is it Live Your Life? Yes.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yes, Live Yen and I. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I love Rihanna.
SPEAKER_06She was doing all the TI versus That's fun. Like and doing the hand thing. Do it. You know how you when you rap and you you're in it. You gotta get the flow going. You got the hand thing going.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's so funny.
SPEAKER_00As we're walking uphill like this.
SPEAKER_06Hell yeah. Little incline. Uh dude, our two mile walk. I like T.I. Our two-mile walk. Uh, we do a simple one, but if we walk by a house that has a Virgin Mary and like a water fountain and a swing.
SPEAKER_00Um a lot of bird feeders.
SPEAKER_06A lot of bird feeders.
SPEAKER_05I don't know which one you're talking about. Are you talking about the one with the sign out front? Does it have a sign? With the the reach and out, what's that called? Is it David and God doing the hand thing? Oh no.
SPEAKER_00No. Um it's down Royal Lake.
SPEAKER_06Okay. Um before you get to Cro Royal Sterling. Okay. Uh, but uh there's like every time you walk by, there's a family of cardinals eating in her yard. Weird.
SPEAKER_00And like one or two squirrels.
SPEAKER_06I love squirrels.
SPEAKER_05But every time I love squirrels.
SPEAKER_00I have the nickname squirrel because of my hiccups.
SPEAKER_05Dude, squirrels are dumb as fuck, because you'd be driving and they'll I love squirrels, but they you drive and they'll be crossing the street, and then as soon as it's like they hear you, you go, ah no, and then they dart back the other way every time. Not anything. You never finish crossing the road. It's fucking spaz in the middle of the road. Man, I know what's dumb about. We were walking, I tell you about when we were walking on Royal Creek one day, Amber and I, and a fucking squirrel just fell. Oh no. Fell out of a tree right in front of us and just fucking thudded on the ground and then got up and darted off. Onomonopeia? I don't know what that means. The thud is a sound. Oh, is that what that is? Yeah, it did. It onomonopied. Onto the ground, and then it fucking ran off, and we were like, what the fuck was that? And we looked up from where it must have fell, and it was high. And just hit and then darted. We're like, all right, we're gonna it was crazy. I'm out, I'm out. Dude, it landed hard.
SPEAKER_00We saw a squirrel kind of hopping almost like a rabbit this morning.
SPEAKER_05That's adorable. Doing the walk to shame. That's adorable. You see those videos of like dogs that were raised around a bunch of cats and they walk around like cats. They like kind of prance. It might just be gay dogs, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00But they're Pomeranians.
SPEAKER_05True. True. Pomeranians are the gayest dog. That's not a bad thing. Pomeranians are adorable.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. The house also has a compost. Like a compost. Like for, I guess, with the for the food. Yeah, yeah. For a little pit. So no, theirs is actually like oh I I don't know. It's plastic. It's hard plastic. It's it spins. I don't know. You can just I've seen it before. I've seen someone build one. I was like, this is and they said it was a compost. I was like, no, that's a big version of that. Uh but it's it's very steep to get down to where they're living. But there's I know what you're talking about now. But theirs is not a house, but the road. There's really nice, like their setup the way they have it. I would just hate to walk down that every night. Yeah. Or to be like, you know, if you drank a lot, like if you're a drinker and like you got drunk and fucking trying to walk down that.
SPEAKER_00Fall into the ditch.
SPEAKER_06Fall into the ditch.
SPEAKER_00Step out the car, fall into the ditch, be like, oh no.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, there's spots for two cars for parking and then two across.
SPEAKER_00Three across if you count right in front of the mailbox.
SPEAKER_06You're right.
SPEAKER_05The problem with where I live, right here, is if I start a run, all towards the back of the neighborhood is downhill. So by the time I hit mile three or four. Yeah, by the time I hit the later in the run, I have to hit the hills upwards. So the last like miles sometimes are just most times are strictly uphill.
SPEAKER_00That's like Ramsey. Royal Ramsey fucking sucks. Which one's Ramsey? Ramsey, yeah. It's at the very, very end. Yeah. Um, but it it's short, but it's fucking steep.
SPEAKER_05So steep. That one and uh and if you don't go left to go to your place, the one that goes straight right there. I forget the name of it. Magnolia. It's Magnolia Stays. This is Magnolia Stays Magnolia. That bitch goes downhill. No, no, no. That's the one that goes slowly downhill. Pine parallel to it goes straight downhill. And then yeah, I'd be spreading up that bitch.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, we're only used to the names on that stride, I guess.
SPEAKER_05So yeah, I'm more familiar up here.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Uh so when she asked us, I think you said this morning, you think we'll see Josh?
SPEAKER_00Or I said, No, I asked yesterday if that was possibly Josh. We were walking.
SPEAKER_06Oh, y'all saw me? It was a shirtless person, and I was like, I thought it was you.
SPEAKER_05But probably I was out there.
SPEAKER_06No, it wasn't you, trust me.
SPEAKER_05What time did y'all walk this morning? We might have Amber and I went on a walk this morning as well. Let me see. It was a little later. I was like 11. Oh, yeah, I think we went to eleven. 10 to 11? What nope, hold on, sorry. We went 10 to 11. Um we went at 825 and then I ran after that at nine.
SPEAKER_00But he thought he saw you yesterday when we were walking. What time did y'all walk yesterday?
SPEAKER_05Like this was afternoon after work.
SPEAKER_001836.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah, I went wait, July 10th. Oh, I didn't do anything yesterday. I just did yard work yesterday. That's right. I didn't do any road work.
SPEAKER_06Oh, I told her when X when I cut the yard next week, I'm like, just walk next to me. That's at least a mile every time.
SPEAKER_05I was gonna yeah, I was gonna count. I was gonna track it, but then I was like, no, I just want it to be like dedicated road miles. Which yeah. So I have two miles to make up tomorrow. Not make up, but finish my week out.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I I think uh I think uh I turned my daily thing into a ten thousand step thing. Nice. Because I don't always get it. Yeah, yeah. And then this morning when we did the walk, I'm like, that's it. And we're back. I feel like that was a scroll. We were both scrolling. Alright, anyways. Shout out October. We're having fun out here. Every time I think of rap or here or think of rap now, I'm gonna say October's Vault with a zero on Instagram.
SPEAKER_05I've been uh I've been on a big Lil Wayne kick lately. That's my whole life, but like Lil Wayne's the shit. Lil Wayne's the fucking best dude. I was talking to Amber about it. Apparently, he's very notoriously bad about showing up to his own concerts. I've heard about that. Yeah, he shows up like late or he doesn't show up at all. That sucks. I've heard about that. But he's a he's a drug addict, so they do that.
SPEAKER_06He's forever though, like in everybody's playlists.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah, he's unbelievable. He's on my Mount Rushmore. I love Lil Wayne.
SPEAKER_06I would I would definitely love to see. I don't I I think I've seen him actually, but this was You have? You saw him? This was one of the it was at a like a festival, so you only got like maybe 20 minutes. I think it was with Amber. This was when we saw uh Amber saw Lil Wayne. I I think no, no, no, no, this is different. She saw uh T Pain with me and uh 21 Savage. Nice. This was when I started working at the brewery. And then uh where were they Bloomfest?
SPEAKER_05Where's that? In Houston?
SPEAKER_06Houston, yeah. Bloomfest Houston. I get I get memories on my Snapchat every year. Age Town, hold it down. I was like, I don't know anybody to ask, so I was like, hey, and you want to go? And bam, we got to see T Pain.
SPEAKER_05Sick. It's 21 Savage. She definitely told me about seeing T Pain. Not 21 Savage, that's not really her type, but yeah, it was a Bloom Fest.
SPEAKER_06And I never heard about that festival in again.
SPEAKER_05Bloom Fest.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Why the fuck was it called Bloom Fest? Was it in spring? No. It's the only reason I would think it something would be unless it was sponsored by Bloom Energy Drink, which I think is a new thing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was gonna say I don't think they were there.
SPEAKER_05I think Bloom is new.
SPEAKER_06No, this is 2016, 2017. Damn. Ten years ago.
SPEAKER_05That's a long time ago.
SPEAKER_06Uh the uh this is again when I worked at the brewery, so they probably gave them a bunch of free beer and they gave us a bunch of free uh bracelets. That was a one-time thing. Oh, it really was. Holy crap.
SPEAKER_05Oh, referred to or being oh no, it was rebranded to in bloom and eventually ending. Oh. Oh, it was oh Springtime Music Festival. I fucking nailed that.
SPEAKER_06Oh, so it used to be called Bloom Fest and now it's called Free Press Summerfest?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I guess so.
SPEAKER_05Hey, I'm bad at reading, I'm all over the fucking place.
SPEAKER_06Major Springtime Musical was uh rebranded to In Bloom. Eventually ending. That's a Nirvana song. It literally just won. Okay, so we did. See, he was there.
SPEAKER_05Who's that?
SPEAKER_06Lil Wayne.
SPEAKER_05Nice, Lil Wayne and Two Chains.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I remember Two Chains too. Mac Miller. I remember I remember the Chain Smokers because that one song was really big at the time. It just came out.
SPEAKER_00Is that the super annoying one?
SPEAKER_05The honestly or whatever song. I don't think that's it.
SPEAKER_06Huh?
SPEAKER_05That's the Lumineers.
SPEAKER_00Huh.
unknownHuh.
SPEAKER_06You know what I'm talking about?
SPEAKER_02House or what the hell is it called?
SPEAKER_05Oh, house, yeah. Oh, no, I made that. I'm just joking.
SPEAKER_02You know what I'm talking about? I know which one you're talking about.
SPEAKER_00I don't know the title of it though. Young. The verses are weird.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no, you're talking about that uh in my apartment in Colorado or whatever that is. Something like that.
SPEAKER_05I know what you're talking about. And I'm definitely fucking that up, but closer. Yeah, closer. Closer. It's about it, it's with a chick, Demi Lovato, Halsey. Halsey. It's with Halsey. Halsey. Yeah. James Smokers and Halsey. Yeah. So I remember that. There's something about it. There's a lyric about an apartment in Colorado. I promise.
SPEAKER_00And a mattress that's stolen.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I think so. The mattress was in the apartment in Colorado.
SPEAKER_06I think she stole it. I think I know why I asked her now because that's that same year we went to this uh Austin. Yeah, yeah. So I was like, hey, you want to go to another festival? Sick. That's crazy how you went the same. That's so nuts. That same weekend. That's so weird, too. And you kept the thing, the the bulletin. Right? Yeah. That's cool. Did we talk about this once already? Yeah. Yes. Definitely. Sorry, I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_00I think when we talked about music.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I'm talking about the yeah, yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah, we did a whole music up. That's right. Yeah. We stopped doing themes for the episodes. Well, I guess the last two have been version.
SPEAKER_02It's not like they weren't we it's not like we were always really doing themes.
SPEAKER_05No, it was just nice ideas. It was just ideas. Yeah. A general direction. But dude, I went to go see a movie the other day. I don't know if this is just a me thing. I don't want to say this.
SPEAKER_06Or a me to thing?
SPEAKER_05Damn, dude. You're trying to cancel me? Um I think raisinettes, I think they're like synonymous with the movies. Do you like raisinettes? I do. Right? I went to a movie theater and I walk up to the what's it called? Concessions. And I was like, Do y'all have raisinettes? Or I said, Do y'all have chocolate? I couldn't think of raisinettes the name. I said, Do you have chocolate covered raisins? And the fucking lady did this to me. She made that face. She went, like a what the fuck? And I went, so no? And she'd like she'd never like heard of them. And I was like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_00What the fuck has I heard? I mean, but they didn't they didn't have.
SPEAKER_05But they didn't have them.
SPEAKER_00What movie theater did you go to?
SPEAKER_05This was the grand. Oh. Shitty ass fucking theater.
SPEAKER_00But well, I don't know. I've gotten reason it's there before.
SPEAKER_05I guess they got rid of them. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Fuckers.
SPEAKER_05It's fucking weird. No, no, no, no, no. Hold on. No, no, no. The Grand had it. This was at AMC uh even worse. Yeah, this was at AMC in Shenandoah. What's it called? They're newer. Really? 24, yeah. AMC 24, I think.
SPEAKER_00The one by Blackbear?
SPEAKER_05Yes. Yeah, there was in that college park.
SPEAKER_00I literally just went their Mother's Day and they had Raisinets. What'd you all watch?
SPEAKER_06Um Devil was worth part of that. Two?
SPEAKER_05Oh, nice. Yes. Did you go with your juggalette mom? Whoop, boop. She did. That's so sick. What's your mom's name? You don't know to say that.
SPEAKER_06I don't know why I asked that. I'm sorry. Well, speaking of that, nobody, none of our listeners, none of our listeners done our challenge.
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_05Oh, they didn't go like it? No. You haven't got zero legs on that?
SPEAKER_06Your mom liked one of the photos, but it wasn't. Specifically. I said specifically that photo. But your mom did it before I did the challenge. Doesn't count, mom. Exactly. Shout out my mom. I fucking love my mom. Shout out Miss Cornwall. Mrs. Cornwall. Mrs.
SPEAKER_02Hey. True.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, she's awesome. I love my mommy. I love my mommy too. Moms are fucking awesome.
SPEAKER_00My mom's awesome. Woo-hoo.
SPEAKER_05That's so sick.
SPEAKER_06We um I wanted to grill today, but it started raining.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I had to say, Oh man, I think they're still thawing. What are you making? Which is good. There have chicken quarter leg quarters that are lemon.
SPEAKER_05Nice. Lemon pepper.
SPEAKER_06Lemon pepper, yeah. Yeah. I was trying to figure out the other word.
SPEAKER_05I keep meaning to make burgers and I just can't get around to it. Cant is the funny word to pick because I'm just lazy.
SPEAKER_06But yeah, we uh I think we I think we talked about on the last episode how we bought uh sirloin cut meat. Yeah. And I cooked it. I mean tree made burgers and it was too mushy. It was too weird. And then we went back to our extra lean, clean meat, and it was perfect. Everything was good. Nice. I don't think I can do 8020. What do you season your burgers with? Oh, it you can't. That depends on this. Oh, okay. That depends.
SPEAKER_00We change our seasoning for almost every meal every time we make food.
SPEAKER_06But I will say there is one that we go back to and it uses because we has umami in it. Umami. Or the fajita gives it the umami flavor of the fajita seasoning.
SPEAKER_05Oh, it's got the MSG? Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. MSG's fucking delicious.
SPEAKER_00I think one of the only meals that I'm pretty consistent with seasoning the exact same is if I do a bourbon brown sugar meatloaf.
SPEAKER_02That sounds specific. Yeah. Oh, it's so good though. Yeah. I wonder why the fuck I haven't had. We haven't had that in a while.
SPEAKER_03I don't know why I haven't brought one to the class, but okay. It's all right. You know, beard, but whatever.
SPEAKER_06Another one I use a lot is uh from the guy TFT Money. TFTI Money? Shout out TFTI Money. Uh Cajun Honey. Shout out TFTI Money with Cajun Honey. And then I have a spicy garlic. His spicy garlic version of the Cajun Honey. It's the guy on Instagram or TikTok that when he makes a shitty smokes it at the very end, he's like, that's money.
SPEAKER_05The black guy?
SPEAKER_06He's a smart no, he's a short little I think he's Cajun.
SPEAKER_05Oh. Oh, is it the dude with the big griddle in front where his son also does it? No.
SPEAKER_06I'm gonna stop guessing.
SPEAKER_00There's so many people though that like do food.
SPEAKER_06No, I get I understand why you're saying that.
SPEAKER_00Speaking of food, I'm actually the plan for me, the a portion of the rest of the day is um baking.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00I have manticatas to make and also banana bread. Because my sister-in-law gave me bananas that I I'm not gonna eat and they're like ripe.
SPEAKER_05Oh, that's right, you don't like bananas.
SPEAKER_00No, I do not.
SPEAKER_06But you fuck with banana bread. Nope. I don't know other people. She makes it for me or or her. In this case, my sister.
SPEAKER_00I I just make it for other people. I like baking.
SPEAKER_06You put nuts in it?
SPEAKER_00Um, depending. I don't have any right now. But we need to go to the store anyways, and I'm missing some things.
SPEAKER_05Dude, we went to H B this morning. It was a fucking nightmare. So busy. Crazy busy? Just so busy. This morning? Yeah. We went at like 9 30. No. Yeah. Well, 9 45. Yeah. Sucked. Oh, wow. A lot of people.
SPEAKER_06I mean, I get it. People were just waking up to like, oh, let's go get out of the way, but then like, oh shit, look at all these people here. There was a lady at the at the front door being like, guess your blood pressure and you can win $50.
SPEAKER_05And I wanted to do it so bad, but Ambrose already like, no, let's walk out. And then she changed her mind. She was like, if you want to go do it, you can do it. We're already in the parking lot. It's definitely 126 over 75. I know that. I'm feeling it. I'm good at all that shit, dude. I guess my weight to a T like once every two weeks. I just get like I don't follow, I don't track anything, and I I go I feel about 187 right now. I hop on 187.
SPEAKER_00I'm better at my weight than I would ever be at my blood pressure.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, the blood pressure, I'm definitely wrong.
SPEAKER_06I haven't checked my blood pressure in a year and a half, but mine's high, but it that's why I take medicine for.
SPEAKER_05But I have low blood pressure.
SPEAKER_06If they take it right before or right after I take my medicine, it's like perfect.
SPEAKER_00What's crazy is this fool has high blood pressure, but his like heart rate when we're doing our workout or our walk even so much lower than mine.
SPEAKER_05Nice. That's good.
SPEAKER_00My average heart rate when we did our walk today was 117. That's not that bad. It's not that bad, but like his was probably like a 90. Really?
SPEAKER_05I didn't even no, I don't even think about it. That's pretty low. Yeah. What's your resting heart rate? Like your sleeping. Yeah. When I was like really heavy into my cardio, I was I was wearing my Fitbit and my sleeping heart rate would get down to 49. That was the lowest I could get it.
SPEAKER_06Uh hold on, give me a second. No, you're good.
SPEAKER_05My active like during or my resting during the day would be like 56 to 60, which is pretty fucking good.
SPEAKER_00I have just recently gotten it to where my resting, like just throughout the day, is about 65 ish.
SPEAKER_05It's pretty good. Yeah, that's good. How do I find it? I don't know. Do you track it on your watch?
SPEAKER_00Go to um the fitness part.
SPEAKER_05If it's just your phone, it won't track your heart rate, right?
SPEAKER_00No. Um your watch tracks it. What watch is that? Uh Apple Watch.
SPEAKER_05Oh, it is. That's part of that everyone. The band throws me off. It doesn't look like an Apple Watch because of the band. Oh yeah. Shout out her. And I like it too. My bad.
SPEAKER_00I don't mess with silicone wristbands. Um they irritate my skin too much. Okay. Um, I I used to wear only the silicone ones. I would do like all the colors, but then um, if I wore it for like just a day too long, I'd break out in like a rash just where the watch band was. I was like, it's gotta be the band.
SPEAKER_05I had the same thing when I would wear my Fitbit, but I work in insulation. So the fiberglass would get stuck under there, and as soon as you start sweating, it would like I'd have crazy rashes. I also have to tuck my shirt in if we're messing with certain insulations because I get a belly rash. If it touches like on my waistband, anywhere there's friction with that fiberglass, I get like crazy rashes. It looks like a heat rash, but it's everywhere. It's fucked up.
SPEAKER_06It doesn't show, it's not giving me my resting, but like my walking average today was 81. Damn.
SPEAKER_00That's pretty good, right?
SPEAKER_06Drink a lot of water. Yeah, no, that's good. That's good. Got a healthy heart. Another thing I've been doing at work, I mean, I've already kind of been doing it before. Where like it's like, you want me to drop you off? Like, yeah, no, I'll just walk. Yeah. Uh, but I've been doing it again. Do y'all set like crazy fitness goals?
SPEAKER_02No. Never know. No, we never have. It's fun.
SPEAKER_06I mean, technically, yes. We did that whole juicing thing. I know that was like a broad question.
SPEAKER_00That was interesting.
SPEAKER_05Goals as far as goals. I mean like giving you something to like train for. No.
SPEAKER_00I've done a 5k. I did not train for it. Um that's yeah, that's right. That was also while I was doing CrossFit.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. So it's not a it's not a crazy job.
SPEAKER_00And it was like a mud run.
SPEAKER_05So like when I did those like half marathons, that was just on a whim where I was just like, I want to run one. And then I was I I trained for it kind of, but it was more of just like staying consistent, not doing like a training training program. But those are always so fun because it gives you something to focus on, like for months.
SPEAKER_00When I did the the mud run, it was um the whole gym that I was going to with doing it. So I was like, sure, I'll give it a try.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you know what's fucking crazy? I was talking to Tristan the other day, and he was reminding me when we first started working out, he couldn't do a single push-up because we were talking about like fitness challenges and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, doesn't he do more pull-ups than you now too?
SPEAKER_05No, that's hilarious. Let's chill he did for a while. Let's let's chill. He did though, didn't he? No. Oh, wait, no, I'm tripping.
SPEAKER_06It's Tristan, my bad. Let's relax, buddy. Sorry, Mr. White Weird Gartner. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Uh no, but Mr. What the fuck? The craziest thing. So he couldn't do a single push-up. And this was like two years ago, and now he bangs out 60. I thought it's six. We could do six. That's that'd be that'd be me. And he's gotten his pull-ups to it. Doesn't sound like a crazy number, but obviously from zero to four, which is a full range of motion pull-up is very hard. Yes, it is.
SPEAKER_00I was gonna say with without band.
SPEAKER_05No, no, this is no no no.
SPEAKER_06I was about to ask, when do you call a full or what is a when do you call it a push-up? A push-up or a pull-up? Push-up. What do you mean? Like when, like how low do you have to go? How much do you have to bend your arms to uh call it an out a push-up?
SPEAKER_05It's dependent, but like a good range of motion, all the way, I mean I say all the way down, not like touching the floor, but all the way. I don't have like a degree of bend on the elbow, I don't think, but like I don't know. I wouldn't I wouldn't judge someone for doing like a three-quarter rep. I wouldn't like dismiss that. Like that's that's a push-up.
SPEAKER_06See, I've growing up, I've I mean I've always been big again, but it never focused on doing a push-up.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's just one of those things you don't really think about.
SPEAKER_06The other so the other day, I guess I I mean not I guess I lifted tables at work. Yeah. And I told her, I was like, why am I so sore? She's like, it's probably because you did those tables. I was like, but I do I lift shit all the time. But I'm like, I lifted five in a row, all I mean, technically three in a row, but putting them onto the truck was the heavy part. And I and I was the one on top doing that part. Yeah. And trying to make sure they're not scratching because you know, plastic on plastic, not plastic. Yeah, I guess it's plastic.
SPEAKER_05The like the fold-out tables?
SPEAKER_06No, they're actually the U ones for the pre-K teachers. Oh, yeah, nice. The ones where they sit in the room. Moving those by yourself? Yeah, technically. Nice strong boy. Well, I mean, me and my co-workers did it. I'm not gonna take full credit. Yeah, yeah. But I was the one on the truck, the one having to do the full lifting and and then setting them down, making sure they're not scratching. Yeah. So I have to be like really I have to really use my muscles. So I guess it really made sense that I was a little sore. Yeah. And then to today, this morning, it's not as bad. But yesterday I'm like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah, no, yeah. Doing motions that you're not used to will get you sore as fuck. I still get super sore from doing like random shit. Like people think because you're in shape. But there's like a bit I had to explain to my mom. Not she's just this isn't her world, really, but she talks about like we talk about fitness and stuff. And she's like, I get you know a good workout like at work because she moves around and stuff, and you gotta you gotta like differentiate to build muscle. There's like a specific thing to do to your muscles. There's a difference between like building muscle and using your muscles.
SPEAKER_00Very true.
SPEAKER_05So like you can use your muscles all day and wake up and be sore, but that's not building muscle. Does that make sense? Yeah. Yes. To build muscle, you have to there's like a specific formula almost. I mean, there's a lot of different ways to do it, but there's a time under tension is pretty much I mean, there's certain things you could do at work, I guess, that would like build muscle, but not optimally. I don't know why I went off on saying this. I'm sorry. No, I mean it's fine. Or even talk. I love this.
SPEAKER_00I mean, we were talking about working out and whatever. So it makes sense. It's tired. Sorry. That you went a little too squirrely there.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah. Good stuff. Bail me out, guys. Uh this morning I was telling her on our walk, there's a slight incline on our towards the inn. Yeah. And yesterday I hated, I was like, what the fuck? Like, what is this? Like, when did this incline become part of our walk? Yeah. This was after work, of course, so I'd be walking back and forth all week with the with the contractors. I hit my goal every day, except maybe one. Anyways. So I was so tired yesterday after doing this incline, and we do it this morning, I'm like, um, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_05Yes. Yeah. Fatigue is a real thing, man. That shit'll fuck you up.
SPEAKER_00Our walk, um, the elevation gain is about 64 feet for the whole walk.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah, fatigue, like being like working out after work, it's a there's a huge difference between like your legs being fatigued. If I have to do road work like after work, like running or walking even, like my pace is a lot slower. A lot slower than like if I ran this morning, I could run, you know, like an eight, nine minute mile pace. As opposed to like after work, it's like I'm lucky to get eleven just because I'm struggling to fucking breathe a lot. But when I was like running at my fastest I could get I think I ran a 5k, like an eight minute mile pace. Or I got them all in the seven minutes, I think. Under like eight. But that was like pushing. I'm not a a fast runner at all.
SPEAKER_06But you at least run.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, occasionally. I've been having tummy problems when I run lately, so it's been hard to get my miles in because it takes so much longer to walk all these miles. But after work, if I've eaten anything during the day, I get cramps. Like if it's been six hours since I've eaten, I get cramps when I run. And it's a nightmare. I have to run fasted. So I run in the mornings on the weekends. That's I can get a lot more miles in that way.
SPEAKER_06It's literally like the food.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I think it's yeah, I think it's literally like I have shit in my system. It's just draining. And I get out crazy. Yeah, like i I can maybe get like a mile, maybe two miles in, and then I just I can't take a deep breath without my fucking rib, like that abdominal muscle cramping up on my right side. So I don't know if there's something like specific I don't know. It's weird. But some days are better than some, and it's just hard.
SPEAKER_06What do we got going on over here? Nothing. What are you doing? Just recording myself. Hell yeah. For what? Just kidding, it was you guys.
SPEAKER_05You're recording?
SPEAKER_06I fucked up. No, I'm not gonna use it.
SPEAKER_05What happened?
SPEAKER_06There's a video. But I I didn't. Sorry. I'm not gonna use it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, tell me, I gotta put my hat back on. My hair is going fucking crazy over here. I'm buzzing my head soon. I'm going back to it. It's getting too fucking hot, man. Don't buzz it. Give it a get yourself a fade at least. Fuck no, dude. I buzz it. I want Amber to not even want to fuck me. It is pretty fucking hot outside, though. It's so hot. I just I hate having to get haircuts. I hate maintaining it. I just want to fucking buzz my shit.
SPEAKER_00It's so bad that like mind you, I sweat more than he does, which I always thought was weird.
SPEAKER_06Um you sweat more, you have more muscle, right?
SPEAKER_05I have no idea.
SPEAKER_06What the fuck? You have your fucking certificate. You should suppose I've never heard that.
SPEAKER_00I have read some research that like supposedly when you have more muscle, you tend to sweat more.
SPEAKER_05Um maybe. I mean, that makes sense. Your metabolism's working harder, I think, if you have more muscle.
SPEAKER_00But I was like drenched in sweat this morning. I had my hair like halfway pulled up, um, not fully clamped down, but the part that was like swaying and touching my neck was like soaked by the time we got home. I was like, what the fuck? Buzz it. This is terrible.
SPEAKER_05GIJing, bro.
SPEAKER_00I'm not not buzzing my hair. I'm not even cutting it. Oh. I I have a bad habit. Um I have to talk myself in the hair cutting my hair. Um I literally grew it out for like 10 years. Damn. Um, with just like a trim one to two times a year.
SPEAKER_05Like Bripunzel. Nice.
SPEAKER_00Um and so I like the last time I cut it, what, about a year or so ago? Um, I I talked I had to think about it for like a month before I did it.
SPEAKER_05I get panic attacks getting haircuts, so that's why I just buzz them. I hate getting haircuts. Sitting still, I get panic attacks. As you can tell. Yeah, it's rough. Like I hate having to go get haircuts.
SPEAKER_06When was the last time you buzzed it?
SPEAKER_05I mean, I I haven't buzzed it in probably six months.
SPEAKER_06So you buzz it, you don't shave it completely. You don't go bald.
SPEAKER_05No, I buzz it. Yeah, I keep I mean, but I have really light blonde hair and it's thin up front. So if the light hits it right, I look kind of bald. But no, I keep hair.
SPEAKER_06Do you have a receding hairline?
SPEAKER_05Not not too bad.
SPEAKER_06So no.
SPEAKER_05I don't think so. No, you don't. No. I have I have thinner hair more than anything. Like this part grows way slower than like this. This shit's still thick back here, but this is definitely gonna go. It's something I'm losing just from my genetics.
SPEAKER_06Losing hair right here?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, same. Like all right here. Yeah, kind of sick. Like to the I have a callock right here. It's thick from their back, all on the sides. The cul-de-sac is good, but this this middle section is it's not it's not doing great.
SPEAKER_06The cul-de-sac hanging on. I have a butt head on my cul-de-sac. I used to make fun of my brother for always having a bolt for a butt head. What's a butthead? When you're like just sitting there and you're like when you're just sitting there and your your ass looks I mean. Oh, you got that crease? Yeah, it looks like is it the the this crease?
SPEAKER_05Yes or the vertical other way. You gotta, yeah. I see Brazilian dudes have that a lot. I don't know what it is. Maybe I'm just I'm around more Brazilian dudes than I was from jujitsu, but they all have that. If they go bald, they all have that crease.
SPEAKER_06It's like a you know how like a butt chin, but like a butt head.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, dude. You know that's the craziest butt chin? Uriah Faber.
SPEAKER_06Uriah Faber?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, anyways. Just throwing that out there. I don't know why I said that. I'm sorry. He was a UFC fighter back in the day. He just had the Connor McGregor made fun of him for it, and he's kind of notorious. Literally the notorious Connor McGregor's fighting tonight. Sorry.
SPEAKER_06That's tonight?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, he's fighting uh Max Holloway.
SPEAKER_00How the hell do you spell that name?
SPEAKER_05Uh U-R-I-J-A-H. No why. U R. There it is.
SPEAKER_06Who? You want a favor?
SPEAKER_02Your eye of favor.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, that top one.
SPEAKER_02Here he is. You want a favor? Hit that ESPN. I'll give you a favor. Yeah, look at that chin, dude. That thing's crazy. I feel like I've seen that. Shirtless, dude. Go down, click that guy.
SPEAKER_06Go the go to the head shot. Yeah. I was gonna say, go to the one where he's wearing the white hat. Or go to the head shot.
SPEAKER_05Either way, yeah, there you go. It's a crazy butt, chan.
SPEAKER_06Go to the white hat one.
SPEAKER_05Baggling above it. He got fucked up by Jose Aldo back in the WEC days. Jose Aldo was chopping this dude down with leg kicks for four and a half, maybe five, it might have gone the distance. Five rounds. Look up Uriah Faber uh leg bruises. Dude, he got uh bliterated by Jose Aldo's leg kicks. You want a favor? Uriah Faber. Bruises. Yeah, dude.
SPEAKER_06He orched, bro. I do not want that favor. Oof.
SPEAKER_00I've had some bad bruises, but not quite like that.
SPEAKER_05That's not him. That's Jared Jorgensen. But it's the same shit. Yeah, dude. Leg kicks are fucked up.
SPEAKER_06That's his leg.
SPEAKER_05You ever been hit with a leg kick?
SPEAKER_06Uh we should do it. You should let me do it where recorded.
SPEAKER_05That's content right there. I know. Just do things where I don't get hurt.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_05No, it's fucking brutal.
SPEAKER_06I'd make content, but somebody's too scared. What do you mean? Who? Me? What the hell?
SPEAKER_05What are you talking about? Let's make some content. What do you want to make? Let's make a music video. Okay, see. No, that's crazy. This is your idea.
SPEAKER_06Let's do a uh gotta get ready for the camera. What do you what could we make? We can think of shit. I I told Bree I was like for 4th of July, I wanted to record us just jumping in the air and high fiving and I'd slow mow it. But we didn't do it. We ended up taking a picture of us three. I would have done that. Those people loved it.
SPEAKER_05Was that edited?
SPEAKER_06What?
SPEAKER_05That picture at all?
SPEAKER_06It was AI who did it.
SPEAKER_05No, no, no. But like our bodies weren't edited.
SPEAKER_06No.
SPEAKER_05I looked jacked.
SPEAKER_06No? I'm just kidding, yeah.
SPEAKER_05No, my leg to my leg to arm ratio is rough. But yeah, no, I looked jacked. That was cool. I thought you fucked with it. I was like, did he make me look more jacked than I am? But I think it was just the angle of the light. Obviously, it's more favorable. But like, yeah, I was like, oh, I look good. I haven't been working out at the whole.
SPEAKER_06All I did was go to Google Gemini and ask to add the patriotic border. Sick. And it did. And asked add a patriotic border with the text in quotes. Happy 4th of July.
SPEAKER_05I had a buddy text me and be like, You look jacked. I was like, oh, thanks. And then I looked at it and I was like, god damn. It's uh who's your buddy? Andy. Shout out Andy. That's the one I was talking about. He was the uh the one that moved away, the one that took me to the driving range, my golf buddy. Oh, okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_06Shout out Andy. Yeah, we get we get some love. Yeah? We get some love on the posts. Fuck yeah, dude. Um, yeah, I got some supportive friends.
SPEAKER_02That's good. Uh I'm trying to find his.
SPEAKER_05I was watching the uh the USA Belgium game, but I don't have Fubo, so I had to watch the Nope. Yeah, but shout out Taylor, he's the man too.
SPEAKER_00You had to watch the Telemundo.
SPEAKER_05I had to watch the Telemundo broadcast, and dude, huh? Amber was going crazy every time they scored. Wait, hit the go and he would hold it for fucking three minutes, and Amber was like, shut up, dude. And I was like, no, this is soccer.
SPEAKER_06Have you seen the Telemundo commercial when they're like in a bar and they're like, Telemundo? No. Oh. Well, anyways, I think Owen Wilson has a big part to do with Telemundo. Owen Wilson? Owen Wilson is in that commercial randomly.
SPEAKER_04What does he say? What's the thing he says that people make fun of?
SPEAKER_06Uh wow.
SPEAKER_04Wow. Wow.
SPEAKER_06I do it to Bree all the time.
SPEAKER_05He's a weird looking, he's got a butt chin. He's got a he's got a weird chin.
SPEAKER_06Wow.
SPEAKER_05Wow.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_07Wow.
SPEAKER_05Owen Wilson speaks football. So he starts in a bunch of stuff. You saw Trump came out and was like, we need to stop calling football football. Soccer is football. Hell yeah, dude. Boy, he's gonna get him back. Wait. Oh yeah. He came out and was like, it's it's football everywhere else. I don't know why we call football football. We should call soccer football. Was it a beer commercial, maybe?
SPEAKER_06For Owen Wilson? Oh no, it's a Telemundo commercial.
SPEAKER_00It's a Telemundo commercial.
SPEAKER_06He's got a low-key good body. Wow. Wow.
SPEAKER_05Wow.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_05Wow. What is he in? Oh, Wedding Crashers. And Night's Drobet Taylor. Drobet Taylor has one of the funniest scenes. Dude, I remember being a kid watching DroBit Taylor. There's a scene where they're interviewing all the people for the bodyguard, and there's this one dude that goes, I'm gonna stick my hand in this piping hot coffee, and he's being all stoic. And he goes and he goes, Oh, god damn! He tries to like stay stay stoic, but he's like, That's so funny. Uh what was I? Sofia Vergara.
SPEAKER_00I can't find the company.
SPEAKER_05Shout out Gloria from uh Modern Family, dude. We're about to finish it and I'm so sad. I love Mod Fam.
SPEAKER_06Oh my god, dude. We started the new season of Rick and Morty. That shit's so hilarious. Good. They're still making new seasons. Yeah. Yes. Nice. I need to watch it. We're surprised.
SPEAKER_05It's funny.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I think the reason that you don't watch it is because it's animated.
SPEAKER_05No, because I'm into like adult animation. I'm not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_06Every time we watch something that's like animated, I wonder if Joshua have seen it. We're like, no, he hasn't. It's animated.
SPEAKER_05I'm trying to be better about it. But like I watch like Family Guy and Simpsons and shit.
SPEAKER_06So then you would love Rick and Morton.
SPEAKER_05I would. I just yeah, I just I just haven't watched it. I need to.
SPEAKER_06It's funny because you know how Rick and the first episode, well, anyways, at the on the first episode of every season, at the very end, he's like, season nine, or get ready for whatever, whatever, next season. Yeah. And on this one, it is season nine. But he's like, uh get ready for an indefinite number of seasons. Oh, really?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they're just gonna keep it moving. Yeah, nice. And how many episodes are there per season? Uh oh shit.
SPEAKER_06I don't remember.
SPEAKER_05Rick and Morty's like a newer show, isn't it?
SPEAKER_06Oh no. It's been a long time now.
SPEAKER_05Really?
SPEAKER_06It's like SpongeBob's like been around since 1999. Rick and Morty and Morty.
SPEAKER_05No, I know, but like Rick and Morty was it can't have been 2020?
SPEAKER_06No. No, way before that. Way before? Yes. Yeah, way before that.
SPEAKER_05I don't think I caught wind of it until recently.
SPEAKER_06I got to go to the Rickmobile, which it's just not a thing anymore. You know what that is? No. It's literally like a truck.
SPEAKER_00Rick and Morty more uh aired in 2013. What?
SPEAKER_05Rick and Morty, I was still in high school when it came out.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03Holy shit.
SPEAKER_06And I think I gra I that's two years after I graduated, so I think that's why I really had the time to watch it.
SPEAKER_05I definitely didn't hear about it then.
SPEAKER_00Every season's about ten episodes. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, they're on four. We just watched episode four. They're they're dropping a new every Tuesday. It's one of the Hulu on Hulu. Yes. Huh. Nice. Uh get ready for an indefinite number of seasons. Interesting.
SPEAKER_03Interesting. Interesting. And I wanted to ask you that, Rick Glassman.
SPEAKER_05Dude, that guy, I fucking love Dylan.
SPEAKER_06Anyway. Oh, that's his name, right?
SPEAKER_05That's no, no, no, wait. Yeah, yeah. Dylan's the interesting. And then Logan's the black kid that was on the interview.
SPEAKER_03Dylan was like, I saw that you said minty when you sprayed the minty in your mouth. Was that a reference to Beverly Hills Chihuahua from 2008?
SPEAKER_05I doubt it. Did you hear speaking of autism? Did you hear the uh the about the big boy train?
SPEAKER_07No.
SPEAKER_05There's a train rolling through. It's called the Big Boy, and all the train enthusiasts are pumped on it. But it came through Philadelphia and apparently the heat was so sweltering that like 75 people got hospitalized. Hospital.
SPEAKER_02Hospitalized? Thank you. Hospitalized?
SPEAKER_05Hospitalized. Yeah, why did I throw an extra syllable in there? Hospitalized. Yeah, a bunch of autistic train enthusiasts apparently had heat strokes trying to wait for this train. You think it was that one girl, too? She was for sure there. The lesbian one? Yes. Yeah, definitely.
SPEAKER_06Oh no.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's hilarious. It's a sick train, though.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, every time we think of trains, we talk about trains. We think about her. Think about who?
SPEAKER_05Oh, from I don't remember her name.
SPEAKER_02What is her name? Oh, I don't know. Oh no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_06You've been watching any soccer? Not recently. I just know that Canada's out. I know Mexico's out. I know USA's out.
SPEAKER_00I know yesterday Spain won against Belgium.
SPEAKER_05Spain's gonna win the whole thing, it sounds like they got Mbappe. Is France still in? Did I say Spain? I meant France. France is gonna win the whole thing. France has Mbappe.
SPEAKER_06I switched to France. That's the only I was like, eh, you know, I think I'll go to France.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, no, I think uh I think Spain is still in. My cousin Mario made me switch. I know Belgium is still in, even after us. They won again, I think.
SPEAKER_06Wait, the big boy train is coming? Or sorry, it went through Philadelphia.
SPEAKER_05That's the one, yeah. Well, it was in Philly that it happened, but I think it's going across the whole thing.
SPEAKER_06Hasn't it come through? I feel like that one's come through the Willis before.
SPEAKER_05Dude, it I catch it on my uh my Instagram reels where it's just like an autistic dude filming himself being like, oh my god, here it comes, and then it blares that horn, and these dudes get so pumped. Oh, there they go. I don't think we're getting it. Oh, damn, I'd go see it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's been through yeah, PA. Closest city would probably be Kansas City. To us. Damn, really?
SPEAKER_05Oh, so it's just hitting north. Looks like it.
SPEAKER_06Let's go to Kansas City. Yeah. Let's go next July 23rd. Concludes in Washboro, Wyoming. Damn. Two days before uh or three days after Bree's birthday. And three and three days before Amber's. It is. And my mom's. Same day? Yep. Nice. And you're February 26th? Mm-hmm. And Amber's mom. Is that huh? Yep. Soul Soulmate shit.
SPEAKER_02Soulmate. Train girl from Old City. I was about to say, is that when you guys got married?
SPEAKER_06Like, yeah, are we sure the same birthday together? Parry.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, Parry, parry. There it is. Parry?
SPEAKER_06Oh, she's in Boston. I bet she saw it. I would have not remembered that. She definitely saw it. It went through Austin. Boston.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, she definitely saw it, dude. Good for her. I bet she was pumped.
SPEAKER_06Pumped.
SPEAKER_02Get it.
SPEAKER_06Like the caboose.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
unknownTrue.
SPEAKER_05Yep. Uh. To uh talk to you about Yao Ming. Yao Ming, okay. Do you want to hear about Yao Ming?
SPEAKER_06No, I don't.
SPEAKER_05Alright, well, we'll move on to bigger and better things. Have you heard about the LeBron free agency saga? Talk about Yao Ming. Oh, okay. Were you fucking trolling me when you said that? No duh. I actually didn't get to finish the uh the mini documentary because y'all showed up. Nothing against y'all. Just saying. Timing didn't work out. No, no, no, no, no. Sounded like it was our. No, no, no, no. I already got the interesting stuff, anyways. Brass knuckles in my pussy. There we go. Yao Ming. You know about Yao Ming, right? He's tall. He's very tall. Do you know how tall he is?
SPEAKER_00Seven foot two, I think.
SPEAKER_05That's a guess. Yours?
SPEAKER_06I'm gonna say seven four.
SPEAKER_05He's seven foot six. God dang him. Which is crazy. Awesome.
SPEAKER_06So we were at least in the evens.
SPEAKER_05Both of his parents were basketball players in communist China.
SPEAKER_00Interesting.
SPEAKER_05His mom uh his mom was six two. His dad was six eight. Six two makes her like six inches taller than the average dude in China, which is hilarious. But she had a lot of injury problems as taller people do. That's the same reason Yao Ming didn't make it to like stardom, like super stardom. It's because he just kept getting hurt. He was a monster, bro. He was so skilled. If you watch like Yao Ming highlights, he has like handles he can dribble behind the back. He was so good. So nice. Soft touch around the rim. He was great. Never stop though. Kept getting fucked up. We'll watch highlights afterwards. He's so fun to watch. But his mom was like, I need to retire, I keep getting hurt. And basically, communist China like owns these athletes in the time. This is in like 78. So they were like, okay, you can retire, but you have to fuck this guy, the his dad, and make us a prodigy. They were like, you have to, if you we'll let you retire as long as you procreate with this other basketball player. So she like she was like, okay, well, I have to. And then they made Yam Ming. And then he got put into like a full-time athlete school by like nine, dropped out for a little bit, Ursum pulled him out, and then he came back into that school at like 14, and he's training 10 hours a day. It's crazy. They literally like it's an athlete school. Created him. They made him. They like bred two monsters of Chinese basketball players, and we're like, hopefully, this will give us a monster Chinese basketball player. And it gave him the ultimate monster Chinese basketball player. So yeah, then he gets drafted number one overall to the Rockets and it's just like starting to kill it. But then he just keeps getting hurt. It's a bummer. But he was so fun, dude. Anyways, that was my yumming talk.
SPEAKER_06I mean, I I learned something new. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_05He was like a fucking experiment. Yeah, literally. It worked. Yeah, that's trippy. 7'6. Dude, by the time he was 14 years old, he was like 5'9 or something. No, no, no. He was like 6'3 by the time he was 14 or some crazy shit. Jesus. He was huge, right? He was fucking 12 pounds when he was born. 12 pounds. God. That's like a double baby. They said he came out with hands and feet the size of a three-year-old. That's terrible.
SPEAKER_06You know how you see their hand, like their paws. Yeah, exactly. You know how big they're going to be.
SPEAKER_05You see a puppy's paws and you go, that's going to be a big boy. They said that about Yao Ming. They're like, oh, he's going to be a big motherfucker. The craziest stat about Yao Ming is like for his size, he shot like 80% from the free throw line. That's incredible. Like Shaq shot like 40. I was about to say, like big guys, big guys don't shoot well, typically.
SPEAKER_06I don't know. You uh have you have you been in the court with me? Just kidding. I'm just fucking with you.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Isn't it crazy? Like the size difference is nuts, bro. Like, I'm a bigger dude. I'm six foot and I'm I they dwarf me. But Yao Ming, oh yeah. Yao Ming dwarfs Shaq.
SPEAKER_06Oh yeah. I've seen that definitely. Shaq is a new. I've seen a picture of it already, but to make a seven foot one guy look short is crazy, bro. He looks so little next to him.
SPEAKER_05It's insane. And then him standing next to me, that's like a different, it's like a different world.
SPEAKER_06Like Shaq's already smiling. That's crazy, too.
SPEAKER_05Shaq's size 22 and shoes, right? Look at them by Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart could suck Yao Ming's dick standing there. He wouldn't have to adjust his neck. Yao Ming's dick would fit in his mouth standing there. That's crazy. I wonder what did it say you did it tell you what size foot he was? Oh, I bet it was ginormous.
SPEAKER_0626, maybe? It had to have been so fucking big. I think Shaq is 22 or 18, one of those, but yeah, those dudes are huge, man. He dwarfed you, you dwarfed them, yeah. 23. Yao Ming was only an 18.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I was right with Shaq.
SPEAKER_00Um, it's probably because Yao Ming is a little bit um slimmer. I was gonna say because he was an Asian. So there's less and the Asian thing too, right?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, the Asian. I think they're just smaller people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I was right with the 22, though. I remember reading that somewhere.
SPEAKER_05You did know Shaq's shoe size.
SPEAKER_06And I had him backwards, apparently. I apparently I knew Yao Ming was 18. Well, I didn't, but yeah, yeah, I got you. Said Shaq was either or.
SPEAKER_05But yeah, man, fucking Yao Ming was so sweet. He was so sweet.
SPEAKER_06So he was five-inch difference, but five inches taller than Shaq.
SPEAKER_05Seven's six. I think he's like the fourth tallest player to ever play in the NBA. Something crazy.
SPEAKER_06Damn. Yeah. I love basketball.
SPEAKER_05I don't watch as much as I don't watch as much as I love it, but they make there's some really fun channels on uh YouTube that will make short compilations just to be like ten times that this happened. They're like short videos for you to get back into it. I'll start sending them to you.
SPEAKER_06I tried getting into the I tried getting into the one in the neighborhood, but can't get in.
SPEAKER_00Oh, there's not a code on the gate.
SPEAKER_05Did you try just one?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_05Yes, it didn't work.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_04What the fuck?
SPEAKER_00I'll say.
SPEAKER_05How do we know?
SPEAKER_06How do you know how to get in? Did they send that email? I saw a thing in the neighborhood Facebook. What didn't they tell people? That there's a code in the neighborhood. Yeah, I mean, in the in the email. But you guys are actually like homeowners that get the emails. Oh, we're just renters. Yes, we are.
SPEAKER_05Oh, why do you fucking ask?
SPEAKER_06We can give you the code.
SPEAKER_05I'll put it out here right now. What do how do you find that royal?
SPEAKER_06Well, you don't gotta put it on here right now, but like I'm gonna tell the world.
SPEAKER_05Everyone can know. Everyone, free basketball for everyone. Let them play.
SPEAKER_06They don't know where we live, so HOA increase fee. Thank you.
SPEAKER_03Thank you, HOA. I appreciate it.
SPEAKER_06We've been walking by some houses too that are for sale. There's there's a couple that are I think there's one really nice one. It's got like a marble like uh exterior tile driveway. Damn, nice. It looks nice, but it costs really, it really costs I cannot talk. It costs a lot because uh it has a custom outdoor kitchen and fruit trees, and a bunch of fruit trees. Man, where's this at?
SPEAKER_00Off also off Oil Lake past the other house we were talking about.
SPEAKER_06I'm never gonna find that code. I'm sorry, guys. Dude, I just got a random text. Hello, this is Lisa. May I ask if this is the phone number that my assistant Tina contacted me for the horse riding instructor Daniel? It is. This is Daniel. I am totally Daniel, and I am a horse instructor now. Horse riding instructor now. Have you ever ridden a horse?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_06Uh, California when I was little.
SPEAKER_05Let's go. You're the vaquero.
SPEAKER_06I think I was nine.
SPEAKER_05It counts?
SPEAKER_06I'm I'm guessing. That counts. This is way before I moved to, that's why I say that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Tell her yes, this is. Say this is Daniel. Let's start just pranking people on here.
SPEAKER_06That's so upsetting.
SPEAKER_05Just lie to people.
SPEAKER_06I'm just gonna be like, no.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, say wrong number, dumbass. Fucking idiot, you must have heard wrong. Like, I think it's a it's a sting. You should just like the message and then not reply. Don't lead her on fully, but just be like, yeah, maybe. What's it do you? How bad do you want to know?
SPEAKER_00I maybe. Yeah, maybe.
SPEAKER_05But like, only if you listen to Royal Street Sessions. True. So you tune into Royal Street Sessions, you tell me. Tell me what we should think about that.
SPEAKER_06Uh God. Um so we uh we tried, tried. Oh, I can't talk again. Getting into the court. Got these new mic stands, right?
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah, yeah. Sorry, I thought we were still going back.
SPEAKER_06We tried with you. Yeah, it didn't work. It didn't work unfortunately. That's not good, though. I like this one. This one works. This one would work on your side, but these mics are heavy. I might move my stand.
SPEAKER_05No, because that kind of takes away the purpose of okay. Is that you don't like that? I just hate that uh it's all here, it's not long enough, and then to talk to you, I kind of have to do this.
SPEAKER_06That makes sense. Oh maybe now if you do that, use uh the the weight over here, and then you slide it all the way out.
SPEAKER_05I might just fucking hold the whole mic stand right here. Just fucking hold it. Just the full rig on the couch. Just hug it like a body pillow.
SPEAKER_06We have uh anyways, I don't know why I went to that. Anyways. I did want to talk about this mic stand. It was a little it looked really cool with I mean it looks cool, but it looks good. Putting it on, it's like, oh man, the mic's too heavy for it. The coaster works. Oh yeah. No, I'll probably find something better.
SPEAKER_05I think the coaster you should put the coaster under the ghetto rigged. You should put the coaster under the top part. Oh you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_06I I only reason I did that right there is to keep it down here to keep it some actual level. Oh, I gotcha, I got you. Because if I put it straight on the on the cardboard, it would push into the cardboard. Yes, this keeps it leveled, stilled, but it'd be not fully f functioning.
SPEAKER_05I got you. Have you been following the LeBron stuff? I have no idea. LeBron left the Lakers. No. And he's basically being like, I don't know where I'm gonna go for my last season. But he's not really saying last season, but everyone's like it's gonna be the Cavs again because he's going back to the Cavaliers. But he should announce it like probably this weekend.
SPEAKER_06So he's retiring?
SPEAKER_05No, no, no. He's gonna play at least one more year. Exactly. But he may yeah, he hasn't come out and said that's like a retirement tour, but it's I mean, he's fucking like 42, bro. Like, how long can I think Kareem played until he was like 44, which is insane. But to play at the level he still plays at his age is bonkers. So he's just getting old then. Yeah, I mean, he's way older than most. I think he's probably just tired of playing. Bro's been playing playing since he was 18. But I he's at least got one more season. At least one more season. He doesn't know where he's gonna go. It's it's between like three teams that everyone's thinking, but it's probably gonna end up being the Cavaliers, which is like his hometown team. Oh. But he's already gone back there once. Oh. He's been playing for so long, dude. That's fucking crazy.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I have no idea. Again, I wish I watched it as much as I love it. It's fun. I don't even know if I can say I love it. I love playing it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that counts.
SPEAKER_02You love basketball. I love playing it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that counts.
SPEAKER_06I think uh why uh why can't a uh fuck it Avon sales lady run?
SPEAKER_05Why can't they run? Yeah. An Avon sales lady? Why can't an Avon sales lady run? I don't know. I don't like that you assumed it's gender though. Um let me think. I want to get one of these fucking jokes y'all have. I like to think that I'm at least like semi-smart. Why can't an Avon sales lady run? I don't know. Fuck me. Why?
SPEAKER_06Because of her lipstick.
SPEAKER_07Because her lipstick.
SPEAKER_05Don't even get it.
SPEAKER_07Because her lipstick.
SPEAKER_05She could still run of her lipstick, ain't it? Or you gotta ruin it. Wait, right? Wait, are you talking about her pussy lips? Oh my goodness. Are you talking about her pussy lips? Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00That's why immediately I I put my hand in my face and just start shaking my head.
SPEAKER_05That's so funny. I thought you meant like she couldn't talk. You're talking about her vagina lips stick together and she can't run because of the friction. Ew.
SPEAKER_06Thank you for explaining to listeners.
SPEAKER_05That's so funny. That's the best one yet. That's better than what was the one, Mr. Wiener? That's better than Mr. Wiener. That's better than what was last week's. It was fucking Freedom Rings. Freedom Rings. Well, that's a good one too. But lipstick is. I'm just a sick fuck, though. I think I'd have started that kind of stuff.
SPEAKER_06My co-worker said it to me, and I just could not. The old dude? No. Oh, shout out to him. He turned 88. Damn on the 19th. Paul. Paul? Paul Walker. Shout out Paul Walker.
SPEAKER_00I made him a carrot cake from scratch. Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_06Turned 88 in the 9th. That's so old. Still working. We think it's his last year, though. Yeah. Working. I mean too many problems. Fuck. Health problems.
SPEAKER_05Damn. 88 is super impressive. My grandma's still working too, and she's like 80. Fuck, yeah. She's like 83, I think. 82. Fucking hey, man.
SPEAKER_06That's that's so old. We went to uh Burger Fresh for lunch. I love that place. And then uh so he apparently he's known the lady who runs it, or like who the family owner. Nice. So they already knew his order, which was hilarious. That's cool. And then she walked away. He walked away and like she like looked at us like, um, hello, is he gonna pay? No. And then like, no, he's with us today. He has friends, yeah. He started busting out laughing. That's funny.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and that uh burger fresh is great. Yeah, dude. I love that. It's got a huge menu. Have you were you there? Did you go there before they remodeled the whole place? No. Oh, okay. I don't like I don't like how they remodeled everything, but it's growing on me. I heard they remodeled, yeah. It's way bigger now.
SPEAKER_06Okay, I like the way it was like the way you can just it's nice all the space. It's a nice place. They have really good food. I told her the their sauce bar or whatever they're that that's pretty cool.
SPEAKER_05They got a good patty melt.
SPEAKER_06I had the patty melt. Yeah, it's good, isn't it?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's fucking good.
SPEAKER_06I I had that's that's the first thing I've ever had from them. And then yes, uh the other day I had uh their Texas Monthly Award burger, which is so much on it. Yeah, it's like a jalapeno sourdough button. Oh fuck. But on the burger is like, I think it was Swiss cheese. I think it was a white one. I think it was Swiss. The Swiss with provolone, anyways, okay, grilled bell peppers, grilled onions, bacon, uh, avocado, and then lettuce pickles. Lettuce pickles, tomato, avocado, onion.
SPEAKER_05Man, that sounds so good. I'm hungry as fuck. Oh, we got donuts if y'all want some. I forgot to offer before. We bought donuts this morning for everyone. Nice. If you want some. We bought HEB bakery donuts, they're very good. Ooh. Yeah, I ate way too many of them. I got a belly ache right before you got here. I sat down on the couch and watched a Yao Ming documentary and said, I need to settle down and let my farts come through.
SPEAKER_06My family is really in love with those uh butter tortillas.
SPEAKER_05Oh my goodness, from HEB.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, so good. God, they're good. Uh I'm actually so I don't really care for them as much, but I'm willing to buy that candy. I'm not candle. I'm willing I'm willing to buy the candle. The candle.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there's a a butter tortilla scented candle from HEB.
SPEAKER_06I hate that. I hate that. In a in a in a like, I hate that I have to buy that now.
SPEAKER_05No, I hate, I don't know. The candle craze is weird. Gwyneth Paltrow fucked everything up. She started doing her pussy candles, and now everyone makes a candle out of everything. Goop? Goop. She sells a candle that smells like her goop, and that's disgusting. Oh, is that why is that? I assume. I don't know what it is. What the fuck else would it mean? It's goop.
SPEAKER_06That's what comes out of a vagina. It's goop. I doubt that's why it's I mean, I know that's I know it's like to help her company's to help your vaginal health, but I doubt it's that. You don't think she calls it her goop? I doubt the candles are her juice.
SPEAKER_05No, it's not her actual juice, it's the essence of her goop. What the fuck does that mean? The smell. They tried to recreate the goop. So what does goop type what does goop mean? Why is it called goop? It might be an acronym. I could be way off. I assume she just called her discharger goop.
SPEAKER_06Just type in our why, yeah. And then why is it called goop? Gwyneth Peltro. Gwyneth Peltro goop.
SPEAKER_07That's funny.
SPEAKER_06Goop. That's so gross. What are you doing? Okay. I don't understand why I got that.
SPEAKER_00Because I didn't see it.
SPEAKER_05Oh, she's standing in a vagina. That's so funny. She is a strange lady, huh? Oh, that's funny.
SPEAKER_06I just saw that.
SPEAKER_05How much do you think one of those candles go? We should get one for the studio. A little pussy candle. I need to stop saying the P word, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_06That's why we will never be monetized. I need to be better, but I'm getting better, I promise.
SPEAKER_05I'm sorry. What's goop? There you go. Hit that. What's goop?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. 2008? She's been around that long? She's been gooping since I was a young.
SPEAKER_06Oh, that was a titty. I saw a titty. Well, she is old, but like. Whoa, dude. The company? It's been around that long? Wait, what did that say? Go hub?
SPEAKER_05Oh, I got you. I thought she said she went by G. That's funny. Goop. Clean ingredients. It's about as clean as it gets. Sorry, we're just stuck on the show. Yeah, we're just reading the goop website. What's goop? Do they have like a bio or something?
SPEAKER_04Goop. Shop, goop beauty. About goop.
SPEAKER_06What a weird name.
SPEAKER_05There we go. 10% off.
SPEAKER_06He's giving us that coupon.
SPEAKER_05We're gonna have to find a candle, also. Damn, about goop didn't do nothing, huh? Oh, I think we're just on it. This is about goop. That's a lot of goop. Alright, scroll down just a little bit. What's that? Goop exists to help women in their pursuit of always becoming dash curious, expansive, unapologetically themselves. Hi, I'm Gwyneth Paltrow. Do you wish you could smell my pussy in your living room? That's so weird. I can't. Oh, they sell Tupperware and frying pans. I can't. Is that a dog leash? I sell everything. Do you think all of this stuff smells like your vagina? If I got a suitcase and it didn't smell like Gwen this goop, I'd be pissed.
SPEAKER_02Where's the candle? Oh god.
SPEAKER_06Can we get off? Can we stop, Josh? Yeah, my bad. Can you stop gooping? I might get us one of these goops.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I can't, dude. I can't. That's so gross. How would you do that?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I think you need to change your pants. You can gooping too much.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Gwyneth's gonna make me goop, dude. That's so gross. I wonder what it smells like.
SPEAKER_06Alright, we're gonna completely switch it. Good call. Alright, this is gonna be, I think, the last segment of the good call. Yeah, well, if we can goop in over here. There's too much goop talk. That's so weird. Uh and straightways. Yeah, go. Fucking.
SPEAKER_05I tried, really tried. I might I might do a deep dive on goop this week and come back next week with a lot of goop empathy.
SPEAKER_06I want to hear what you and Amber do this weekend. Oh.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna start calling sex a deep dive on goop. That's so funny. Sorry, go. This is disgusting. I've I've fucking made a fool out of myself.
SPEAKER_06If you are over 25, these friendship truths will hurt.
SPEAKER_03Oh.
SPEAKER_06Okay. What don't look at me like that. What did I do? I don't know. I'm just trying to show you. To get ready. Go. Yeah, no, it's an Instagram little thing from my uh mindset.therapy. Okay, sick. They're just little stupid little things, but I was like, okay, this is actually kind of really true. Let's hear them. Um uh the first the first thing says your circle will get smaller.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06The older you get, the less energy you have for one-sided friendships. Did you ever have like a big group of friends? Like a really big group? I did. Yeah?
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_06How big? I mean, I wouldn't say like everybody like you mean friends, everybody was friends with friends with everybody. See, I think that's what changes, right? Or do you mean like I just had a bunch of different group of friends?
SPEAKER_05I don't know. I don't know what I mean.
SPEAKER_06This was all in high school for me.
SPEAKER_05I think that's what changes is like when you're hanging out when you're younger, you invite friends and they invite friends, and you kind of just all hang out as a group. Right. But then you kind of just you kind of phase those people out. You just go, I want to hang out with so and so, and you go, Well, they're gonna bring so and so, and eventually you just go, How about you don't bring so-and-so? And you just hang out with your friend.
SPEAKER_06I just I do know that uh after high school and like still when I first started working at the brewery, I hung out with those people like after high school for good five, six years.
SPEAKER_05I feel like I never had more than eight friends.
SPEAKER_06Like real ones?
SPEAKER_02I don't even know. I just never yeah, I don't know. I guess in high school I had a lot more than that.
SPEAKER_06I mean, I guess, yeah. I mean, in high school for me I mean I was friends with the whole soccer team.
SPEAKER_05That's what I was about to say. I was like on the football team, so it's like I guess those people count, but not really.
SPEAKER_06Like I would go to parties and stuff with them, but like so like I count the people that I have uh that I still see in my Snapchat memories. Okay, that are no longer here. Or they're here. Sorry, I meant like here in my life. Okay. Sorry, that made a sense. Your face made it look like so. I was like, damn. Did they die? Not a lot of things. Like they're literally like it's you know, things happen, people grow apart. Yeah, yeah. Um, and then uh the brewery friends some we still talk through text. Some some we still like our my friends Matt and Tara smoke crow snacks. Like, I'm gonna keep saying that. Smoke row snacks.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I got like friends. I also have friends that I don't see every I I see them like every three years. And it's just like, hey, still good friends. Like you text, that's good, you call them every now and then. Are you a phone guy?
SPEAKER_06Like call?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I talk on the phone a lot.
SPEAKER_06Uh it depends on the situation. Yeah. Like if it's like something that like I'd rather just talk to you about instead of text, I'll call you. Like, what about call just to like chat? Like when she's when she's at a store or when I should know when I know she's about to go somewhere. Yeah. Like I'll call her. Yeah. Or like with you, if I have an idea, I'll call you right away. Like I want to get it out of here, like out of my system. And yeah, you can't do that. Last time I called you thinking about it. Last time I called you, that's what happened, I think.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, same. When I was moving the thing around at FaceTime, yeah. Yeah, I'm a call guy. I love calling.
SPEAKER_06But I mean, I guess you would say I'm still like friends from high school.
SPEAKER_04Two really uh I think so, yeah. All my friends are from high school. I made a few as an adult.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, they're all from high school.
SPEAKER_06There's one that lives down the street that I graduated with that would take me home all the time. Really? But I haven't yet I've yet to connect with him. I mean, I saw him at HUB and he called me the wrong name.
SPEAKER_00Even with his shirt saying his name on it.
SPEAKER_06What'd he call you?
SPEAKER_05Uh Jose. You call me Jose. Oh, that's that's borderline racist. So me's his name, say the wrong name.
SPEAKER_06Uh JK. Rolando. Is it really? No. Um he called me the name of the other Mexican that he wrote took home. But he's Mexican too, so it's fun. He can say that. He can say that. But uh he called me Jose. I'm like, you know, like Bree said, my fucking name was right there on my shirt.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's rough. All my friends are from high school, I'm thinking about it now. Or outside of that, it's jujitsu and work. That's it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Yeah, mine, uh two from high school that I saw. I mean, I and when I talk to them, it's not all the time. Yeah. But like when we do talk, it's like, oh, it's like two, we just talked yesterday. That's Garrett and Jonathan Moseley. Jonathan Mosley and Garrett Young. Garrett's actually getting married soon.
SPEAKER_05Shout out to him.
SPEAKER_06Jonathan Mosley got married and he's got two kids. Yeah. Um and then the rest are from the brewery. For Matt and Tara. And then the friends from IPC, there's you, Amber, Seth, and KK.
SPEAKER_00Manny.
SPEAKER_06And Manny. And again, Seth, and those three, it's not all the time. Yeah. But like whenever I invited them to my birthday, it was just like, hey, we just saw each other two days ago or some shit like that. Um, and then Paul. Paul. Sir Dolphin. Sir Dolphin. Sorry. You meet him through Jonathan Mosley. My friend from high school. Oh, okay. He was friends with his older brother. His best friend is his older brother is best friends with Jonathan Mosley. Like they grew up from, I guess, I think they met at church or I don't know, because his brother, sorry, yeah, Dolphin's brother's name is Zach. He's three years older than or two years older than me and Mosley. Um my bad.
SPEAKER_02What does the name Dolphin come from?
SPEAKER_06I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I don't think I've asked. We'll have him on. I'm gonna ask that. I know he doesn't leave me that question. He's joking.
SPEAKER_06I know he actually has like dolphins in his logo in the background. Oh, okay. Maybe he just loves dolphins. I don't know. I really don't know. Um anyways, just so the older you get, the less energy you have for one-sided friendships. You stop chasing people who never make the same effort. Fewer friends do not always mean more loneliness. Sometimes it means more peace.
SPEAKER_05Is this still on the first thing? Or are these all individuals? Oh, yeah. That's a lot.
SPEAKER_06Uh some friendships only existed because of convenience. School, college, work, living nearby. And that's very true with the school one. I have zero friends from college. Uh yeah, me either. That's so weird.
SPEAKER_05I graduated associates' degree. But you did a whole, yeah, you did a whole thing. I went to college for an accumulative like two and a half years, I guess. I mean I made friends in college, but as soon as I was out, we never talked again. That's so weird. Shout out Omer and Oliver. Nice. Those are my boys in college. We had like one class together.
SPEAKER_06I I did a semester and a half, but I didn't make friends. I'm friends with them on Facebook, but I don't talk to them.
SPEAKER_05I had them on Snapchat forever, but I think I deleted them. Omer was from like Turkey or some shit, and then Oliver was from London, and he had a crazy accent, and I was just like, that's cool. As a 19-year-old or 18-year-old, I was like, damn, you got an accent. That's funny.
SPEAKER_06Uh let's go to the next one. You will outgrow people you once could not live without. That's sad.
SPEAKER_02Which I don't know. I mean, I think I I don't think I have. I don't think I have either. Skip. Next.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it says not every and not every friendship ends with a fight. Sometimes you simply become different people with different priorities. Girls can quietly create distance that nobody intended.
SPEAKER_05I've had that with friends, but it was never friends that I couldn't live without. Yeah, I guess so. Yeah, me too. All of my like closest friends, I've never we we're all still friends. Yeah, I don't think even we're all very different people. We've definitely grown apart and grown in different lanes in life, but like we're all still very good friends.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I don't I mean, besides her, there's really nobody else. I mean. Who's her? I guess her. Yeah, yeah. I can live I can't live without her type. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. That was deep.
SPEAKER_06Type shit. Type shit. That was deep type shit. Oh no. Well, I mean, if you're being if we're I mean, don't make it weird. It was you who made it weird, motherfucker. Me? Nah, I think it's sweet. I like it. Making new friends becomes much harder, but also that's different. It depends on the person. It's whether you want to become friends.
SPEAKER_00That definitely depends on the person. I'm one that I'm not gonna force friendship. I we either get along or we don't.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I haven't made a new friend in probably a new friend. Three years. And I'm hoping there's not a friend that I've made in that time span that's listening to this, being like, what the fuck? I don't think I don't think I have newer friends. All of my like like Andy, we were talking about Andy, he's one of my newer friends, but that was like three years ago.
SPEAKER_06I think mine would be uh Sergio. He's my coworker, but he also picks me up, it takes me to work. But like me and him talk on a different level, like on all levels.
SPEAKER_05Like, yeah, yeah, not just coworker shit.
SPEAKER_06Not just coworker shit, yeah.
SPEAKER_05I'm like that with all my coworkers too, but we just have a very small squad. Same with you. Like it's a very small we're around each other all day, every day. So yeah, we all talk about everything.
SPEAKER_06Uh the next one says, Some people only liked you, some people only like the old version of you. They supported the version of you that stayed the same. The moment you set boundaries or start growing, they treat you like someone they no longer recognize.
SPEAKER_02These are good and gay. Yeah, I don't get that one.
SPEAKER_06The friends who stay are worth everything. Oh. Type shit. Real friends do not disappear because life gets busy. They can go weeks or months without talking, and they'll still feel like at home the moment you reconnect. Yeah, I feel like that's just adulthood friendship. That's how I feel with my high school friends.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's just yeah, you don't always talk.
SPEAKER_06We're 30. Says adult friendship is not about quality. I mean, sorry, all the way right or backwards, dyslexia, which I don't have. Adult friendships. Adult friendship is about quality, not quantity. Yeah. You stop counting how many friends you have, you start appreciating the few people who choose to stay, support your growth, and make it life feel lighter. Oh. Those are the friendships that last.
SPEAKER_05I was thinking it was like quality of the hang, not how often you hang out. Same thing. Same shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, same thing.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, quality quality, not quantity. Bam.
SPEAKER_00This might sound a little sad, but I only I really only have like one friend that isn't friends that I met through Angel.
SPEAKER_05I don't think that's crazy. Like as an adult, you don't hang out with high school people at all? That's sad. I never so I'm saying it's not sad.
SPEAKER_00I didn't keep up with anyone in high school. Um, pretty much once I graduated, I slowly started just not talking to anybody, which I already didn't really talk to a lot of people. Yeah, the necessary. Um I was in the nerd group and I just yeah, even in the nerd group. What high school did you go to?
SPEAKER_04Willis big big school.
SPEAKER_00Kind of.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But also I like literally I I did loner I had loner tendencies in like when I think about it. Um so I have one friend um, she's actually older than me. She's closer to my mom's age, actually. And I met her through her working with my mom. So yeah, she's the like one really good friend that I have. Yeah. And then there's the friends of Angel, and we get along well.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Especially in your position. Like you're an adult in a very committed relationship where you have a significant other. It's not a lot of free time. Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Like friends and stuff? I'm lucky I have a lot of friends. Like my my core group from high school, we're still all friends.
SPEAKER_06That's cool.
SPEAKER_05It is, it's fun.
SPEAKER_06Like the boys.
SPEAKER_05But I feel like it's not a bad thing to only have like a couple or one as an adult. It's just like, yeah, it's she has you. Like Amber's my best friend in like a corny way, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00I get the corny way.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but like if you lose all your friends, it's like if you're still if you have that person, you're like, I don't really need a lot else. It's good to have friends though.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_05But like, I don't know, I don't think it's that big of a deal.
SPEAKER_06Is she cool with them? Amber?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06She tolerate them, or she liked them. Or she actually liked them.
SPEAKER_05No, she's no, they're fine. They're all they all get along. But like she doesn't hang around them a ton. I usually go to Houston because Casey lives in the middle of us. All my boys still live down where we graduated. Some of them live even further. I got my buddy Jacob lives in El Campo. So that's he's coming up here today. That's like a long fucking drive. Oh, okay. Um, but usually we meet in Houston, and Amber doesn't always go with us.
SPEAKER_06So he's coming here to your house.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. And he's sleeping here. What the fuck was that? Did you hear that? What? My voice cracked crazy. Sorry. That was embarrassing as hell. Thought the backwards hat would work too. It's hitting the couch constantly. Let me fix that real quick. Fucking everything up, dude. Yeah, he's coming here. Sorry.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, let him sleep here, right? Oh. You're gonna let him sleep here?
SPEAKER_05Fuck no, dude. I was like, get out of here.
SPEAKER_06Drive home, drink and drive, leave.
SPEAKER_05Oh no, I meant like an Airbnb. No, no, no, no. If he needs to stay here, he can stay here. But I don't I don't know. Where is Ocampo? Far. Uh 59 South, like going towards Victoria. Oh yeah. That's what I gotta say. 59. Probably probably two and a half hours from here. Two hours? No, two and a half. No, no, no. Very small group. Some people couldn't make it today. Oh fucking Casey, a little loser. All the boys. No, if everyone was free, we would have gone to Casey's again. Because he's in Houston. But Casey was like, I can't hang out. Ocampo's two hours from here. That's not, I mean, that's that's pretty fucking far. Yeah, that's pretty far. But yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um what was I saying? Oh Amberton, yeah, she's cool with them. Tell my friends. Yeah, yeah, she's cool with them.
SPEAKER_06They're good. Yeah, I mean, uh I don't really I'm trying to think of my friend. I mean, you're it's you.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like I hang out up here, it's Tristan. Uh you and I. Yeah. And Tristan. And as far as friends, Andy moved away. I'm trying to think, I'm making sure I'm not leaving anyone. I don't hang out with anyone up here.
SPEAKER_06So I know we don't do anything. When hang out with Amber. Our friends, Matt and Tara, we would hang out with them a lot when we drank. Yeah, that's another thing. Unfortunately, we're not drinking right now.
SPEAKER_00So we don't go to their pop-ups at breweries.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, because they're always at a brewery. Yeah. And yes, we can handle ourselves. Obviously, we we don't need the alcohol, but that was why we go to breweries.
SPEAKER_05Well, it also like, yeah, that it makes a hangout a lot easier. Drinking is more fun than just hanging out. If you're not drinking out with someone, you're just especially well, me especially. I'm a homebody. So if I'm not out having fun, I'm like, why the fuck am I not home? Right. If I'm not like actively doing something out there. That's what I can go to Houston and drink with my boys every now and then because I'm like, ah, I have fun and I can stay occupied for a couple hours. But if we're just hanging out, I'm like, what the fuck am I doing here?
SPEAKER_03I felt the home.
SPEAKER_05I got Love Island to watch. I got shit to do. Hammer and I are watching Love on the Spectrum. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Like, we got we got our fucking situation here. Like, hey, me, me and her have Caleb Hammer to watch.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you got your you got your like your things that you do and you love it. It's like I don't want to go do nonsense. I'm gonna go hang out with you sober and what just talk? Just talk to you for an hour and then be like, okay, let's part way. It's weird. Like, no, I hate that.
SPEAKER_06But that's how it's gotten. I think that's that's unfortunate that it's gotten that way. I don't think so. Like, even me and my so me and my friend Matt, every time we talk, it's at least 10 minutes. And we the past two times we talked, we're like, all right, we'll set up something because we've got to figure something out that's not a brewery. No, it's because every time every weekend they're at a pop-up at a brewery. Yeah, like this weekend right now, they're at Mad Llama.
SPEAKER_00They're also running a small business, and they're super busy and success successful.
SPEAKER_06That's another thing. He kept telling me on the phone he was so stressed and how annoying, and like how like oh my god, it's like 90-85% of my time is the business. I'm like, uh, that's kind of what happens when you get a s when you have a successful business. Yeah, it's what you want in a way. It like it sounds like he hates it in the background, but he loves doing it. I know he knows he does.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, definitely.
SPEAKER_06Oh, so he wouldn't keep doing it. Obviously, and the money's great. Obviously, the money's coming in well, and like he's getting new still new clients. And when I see new clients, they're breweries.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and that's part of like the adult thing. What was I what the fuck was I about to say?
SPEAKER_06The adult thing about friends and uh having friends.
SPEAKER_05Oh, the conversations, conversations when you it's either after you hang out every time we're on the phone where you go, Yeah, we'll do this again soon, or yeah, we'll do something. It just never happens.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Ever. We have to force hangouts. Like with my group, since we all live so far, too. Like it's in that we have a group chat, and it's literally like we have to hammer out a date a month ahead of time and be like, yo, we gotta do something. Like, make sure you're free. And one of us usually isn't still. It's just hard. People living lives, man. Friends are like, my two friends are married.
SPEAKER_06My two friends are uh they're uh working um offshore and shit like that. So they're not always here. Exactly. The timing with them is whatever. But like I'm sure if we text, hey, you wanna plan to hang out when you're in town? They'd be like, Yeah, like let's go do something. But Mosley is like we like to eat. So probably grill or some shit. Um Garrett, we've been meaning to meet his new fiance. Who's Garrett? I don't think she's mad at him yet either.
SPEAKER_00I still haven't.
SPEAKER_06Garrett's my friend from high school that uh that I keep keep in touch with. Shout out, Garrett. He used to be uh his dad used to be uh a pilot for Southwest Airlines.
SPEAKER_02Nice.
SPEAKER_06Uh he actually used the one that got me the hookup to almost work for the freaking the the airport here in Conroe. Oh, really? Next to Black Walnut.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06But I fucking had a seizure there.
SPEAKER_05Oh, that's right. I forgot about that. What were you doing there?
SPEAKER_06You were doing I was gonna be uh You were at the interview. Yeah. I no, I was my first day. It was your first day when I was doing uh training. What were you gonna be? Air traffic control? It was called Surface Technician. That was way off. That was not even close to right. So basically, I mean that was part of the air, not I wouldn't be the traffic control completely, but I'd be listening in and they'd be doing codes and we'd be listening to see like, okay, from what I understood, some codes were telling them like they're about to show up or hey, we're leaving, or but for the most part, like if it was somebody coming in, we'd be the ones to like to greet them, to drive the golf cart, to take them to their wherever.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. We did a job at a private airport the other day. That was pretty cool.
SPEAKER_06Oh no, really?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we insulated it. Well, there's like an apartment above the hangar, and we insulated the apartment, or I guess adjacent to the hangar, and we insulated the apartment attic. Which show was in spring. I don't know, it's actually a public airport, but they a lot of private planes fly out of it, or something like that. The guy was trying to explain to me, but I don't I don't listen to it. It's almost like the one he had converted then.
SPEAKER_06It was about that size. Well, I mean like the way it works, yeah.
SPEAKER_05But yeah, like he said people can use it.
SPEAKER_06Storage. Yeah. Shit like that. Exactly. Yeah. It was cool. That's really cool.
SPEAKER_05It was cool. Yeah, we saw some businessmen get on a PJ. They're little little private, there's like four dudes getting on it to probably to go fucking snort blow and fuck hookers in Nevada or something. I'm sorry, I'm all over the place.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna stream it. I don't know why I fucking said that. I don't know why I said that. That was embarrassing. I'm trying to be fucking cool and edgy, stupid. Jesus, why are you gonna be so negative? I just I don't know. I'm getting my head.
SPEAKER_00Don't, don't, don't bring yourself down.
SPEAKER_02Alright, guys, I'm back. Alright, this is the end of the episode. Fuck it. Fuck it all, man.
SPEAKER_06Damn, hour and a half. Not even because you said that. I think we're just gonna end it anyways. That's a long one. This is a great one. You think so? I was feeling it.
unknownGood.
SPEAKER_06Feeling it, feeling it, feeling. I'm really, I'm really.
SPEAKER_05Shout out, Lil Wayne. Shout out, Lil Wayne. Sorry, sorry you have a serious like codeine addict or addiction. That's a bummer. I hope you don't die.
SPEAKER_06I'm trying to figure out how to impress him. Or sorry, not impress him, impersonate.
SPEAKER_03Ha. Wheezy. I can't figure out. Excuse my charisma. Michael's fritzes. Swag it down, Pat. Call that shit Patricia.
SPEAKER_04Young Money Militia. And I am their commissioner. You don't want to star wheezy, because the F is finished up.
SPEAKER_06Hey, fucking dumb. Shout out, Josh. Over all of it. Episode 17. We're here at Royal Street Sessions. Let's go. Anything else you want to say?
SPEAKER_05Um, yeah. Let me add a little bit more to this. Anything you need to add to the merit? To the what? To the merit? To the merit of the episode. Um episode 18 is next. That's fun. Call that our barely legal up. That's cool. Um that was preverbic. Oh, would this one be barely legal up? In Texas, but that's that doesn't sound right, so I don't like it.
SPEAKER_06Um so we won't do that. This episode will be released July 15th. So when you're listening, thank you. Let us know. Let us know what you think about the October. Man, I'm a little upset actually. Oh, let's get it. Nobody has liked Bree's photo. Oh, yeah, the fucking $2 bill challenge. Little two jugolettes.
SPEAKER_00Hugging each other. Woo-hoo.
SPEAKER_06Shout out your mom, dude. Anyways. Love you guys. Thank you for listening. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
