Let's talk about starting over. If you are listening to this right now and you feel stuck, like you know you are meant for more, but you have no idea where to start, this episode is for you. Because starting over, it's one of the hardest things you'll ever do. No one really talks about how lonely it feels, how confusing it is, how you can wake up one day and feel like this just is not the life I'm supposed to be living. And maybe that's where you are now. Maybe you feel behind. Maybe you're scrolling social media and it seems like everyone else has it figured out. Maybe you want more for your life, but you don't even really fully know what more means yet. And if that's you, I just want you to know something first. You are not broken, you are not behind, you are simply at the beginning. Because guess what? I have been there too. I didn't have a plan, I didn't have some big strategy, I was just simply like figuring things out in real time. I was rebuilding my life. I was absolutely scared. I didn't know if anything I was doing was actually going to work, but I made one decision. I decided I wasn't staying where I was anymore. And that decision, it changed everything. So I want to walk you through what that actually looks like because people will tell you to start over, but they won't tell you how. So this is what I'm going to call the boosh method, if you will. And it's the exact mindset that really helped me rebuild my life. And I want to break it down for you in four steps. It is to decide. Everything changes the moment you decide your life is going to be different. Not necessarily when things are getting easier, not when you feel ready, not when you have the perfect plan, but when you simply decide. There was no moment where everything just magically made sense. I was actually in one of the most overwhelming, overstimulating, busy times of my entire life when I just hit a point where I was like, I am done living like this. And that was enough. I made the decision and I went for it. Step two, you have to detach from the old version of you. And this one is so hard. This is the one where new habits are formed. But that's not easy. We get so used to being who we've always been. Even if that version of us is stuck, even if that version of us is scared or playing small, but you can't build a new life while holding on to the identity that kept you where you were. That means letting go of old habits, old thought patterns, old stories you've been telling yourself. It's time to start telling yourself that you can do this. You are meant for more, and keep picking yourself up every day to continue. Consistency over time is what's going to shift this mindset. You don't need to become a completely different person, but you do need to give yourself permission to evolve. So work on this habits every day will simply help you change this. And it's going to take time. Give yourself patience. You got this. Step three, take messy, visible action. This is where most people get stuck. Because they're waiting to feel confident. They're waiting to know exactly what they are doing. They're waiting for it to look perfect. And I'm just going to be completely honest with you, it is not going to be perfect. It's going to be awkward. I was awkward. I'm still awkward, you guys. I didn't know what I was doing. And I showed up every day, anyways. I pressed live when I was so nervous. I did not have some magical, beautiful setup for myself. I was surrounded by clothes. Okay, you guys. I was literally surrounded by clothes. Um, I was set myself up in front of a window, and I even used a green screen because I was nervous to be like up close and personal on a live. So I ended up using a green screen, and it was far, far from perfect. I talked when I did not feel ready, when nobody was coming into my live room, and it was quiet, and I just kept talking and talking. Again, that's where the awkwardness comes in, but you have to keep going. I figured things out as I went. And that messy action, that's what built the momentum, and that's what can build momentum for you. You don't need to have it all figured out. You simply just need to start. You can again, like you got this, okay? You have got this. Moving on to step four: building confidence through repetition. Confidence is not something you wake up with. As you can tell, I didn't have a ton of it when I started. Literally, me telling you that I was in a green screen, meaning I didn't want my face up close and personal. So I put myself in like, I don't even know. You have to like look back, but I was in this like little bubble, and I just didn't have the confidence. It wasn't there yet. But we built it with repetition. That's why I bring this up. When you show up again and again and again, even when it's quiet, even when no one is watching, even when you feel like it's not working yet, that's how you build it. That's how you become the version of her or him that you want to be. And here's the part that no one talks about enough. When you start building a life that actually feels aligned, it can also start paying you. And I don't mean that in like a flashy way. I mean that in a very real way. You can start to create an income online, you can build something from literally nothing. You can turn your story, your voice, your growth into something that supports you. And you do not need a huge following. When I started, I literally had 5K followers on an account that I had not touched in over a year. You do not need to be perfect. You just need to start. And again, every step is about repetition, consistency, making a decision, showing up, no matter how quiet it is, being the one and only person that believes in yourself when you start, and having faith that it's going to work out with your hard work, determination, and consistency. So I know starting feels so scary, but staying the same, like think about this for a moment. Staying the same where you are right now, does that feel scarier? When you know you're meant for more, does that feel scarier? Staying complacent. I think that's a big yes. So if you take anything from this episode, please let it be this. No matter your age, no matter where you are in your life, no matter the trials you have had, the ups and downs, you are not stuck. You are at the beginning of a version of you that you just haven't met yet. And your life can change the moment you decide it will. If this episode resonated with you, please share it out to someone who needs it, who would benefit from hearing it. And if you want to go deeper into this, please come hang out with me on my lives. We're over there on the good old ticker talker, going live every single night, 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., night and morning. If you want to come hang out and ask all the questions live, because that is where this all started for me. And it's where I love to help people like you start building their next chapter too. Whether that's as a live host, whether that's as a podcast host, what where wherever you are, I lived a life for a very, very long time where I was told I can't. I let outside noise fill my brain. And if I can be that one space for you, whether it's here on this podcast, whether it's on my lives, that reminds you every single day that you can do this, you do have to dig deep in yourself to remind yourself and shift your mindset. Whatever your goals are, you can do this. And every time you potentially fail at something, which trust me, I've had my fair share of failures, you got to keep coming back. Maybe you shift your goals, maybe you shift something, but but you have to keep coming back. So the boosh method mindset here is to keep picking yourself back up, keep believing in yourself, and keep going. You absolutely got this. Now share this with somebody who needed to hear it, and I will talk to you again.
