SPEAKER_04

And Dunno Dino Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun.

SPEAKER_00

It was the Lick McCracken.

SPEAKER_03

Alright, guys, this is um the episode five of What's Your Favorite Dime Show Podcast with me, Nicole Felic, and our guest today is Michelle. Oh, that was awesome.

SPEAKER_00

I'm Michelle.

SPEAKER_03

Michelle, tell the tell the audience, tell Nadine, that's my friend who watches this pod. Um tell Nadine what you do for or my the thing is I used to say comics, and then people would be like, I'm more than a comic. I'm like, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I am sadly more than a comic.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no.

SPEAKER_00

Uh that is tra it is tragic, I know, but I am sadly more than a comic.

SPEAKER_03

I am uh um Oh yeah, you have a bunch of your show skills. I forgot about that.

SPEAKER_00

I am a uh writer and director of uh uh plays and shows. Multiple. Um I also do uh uh some I've done stand-up previously, and I do other sort of improv comedy skits bits and stylings.

SPEAKER_01

And plays guitar.

SPEAKER_00

And I do play guitar, but that's not I don't I am doing that in a show, actually. I actually do have a s I actually did write a song for a show, so I am playing guitar for a show. Uh so I do I do that too. I am a multi-hyphenite. You can call me a multi-hyphenite if you want me to kill myself.

SPEAKER_03

Here with multi-hyphenate.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I wish that shotgun mic that's pointed at me right now was a shotgun.

SPEAKER_03

Whoa, that would be so crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Kurt Copain myself.

SPEAKER_03

Oh no. We might cut that out for the kids. Just kidding.

SPEAKER_00

Is this a series? Is this like a non can I make scale offensive jokes?

SPEAKER_03

I like to make jokes, because whenever you upload something on YouTube, it goes, is it for the kids? And I have to be like, no, and they're like, how bad is it? I'm like, I just want to swear. I just want to swear and make, you know, references to Epstein and stuff like that.

SPEAKER_00

I don't wanna And references to COVID-19. And now this is demonetized.

SPEAKER_03

And now, yeah, and restricted. Well, the suicide reference I think also will get you demonized.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, suicide, COVID, Epstein.

SPEAKER_03

You have to say sewicide, so it's a good band name. Whoa, that actually I'm sick band name. I saw it in like cool font when I was saying it. The sewer slide.

SPEAKER_00

Sewer slide girls. That would be a fun band name.

SPEAKER_03

That's so good! Holy shit. Today's episode.

SPEAKER_00

Um Welcome back to the Sewer Slide Girls.

SPEAKER_03

Um, we yeah, so that's cool that you're more than a comic. I always um I wish I could do that. I wish I had other talents.

SPEAKER_00

You have other talents. Uh you're sassy. You're cute.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You're sly.

SPEAKER_03

Ooh.

SPEAKER_00

These are talents. These are skills.

SPEAKER_03

They're yeah, that's true. They're just not suited really well anywhere else.

SPEAKER_00

Could you do a competitive eating? Do you think? No.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, I wish.

SPEAKER_00

Competitive drinking.

SPEAKER_03

Ooh. That is a thing. Um maybe competitive drinking like water.

SPEAKER_00

That is a thing. Yeah. Yeah, that's a real thing.

SPEAKER_03

The um the s the sewer slide girls are number one champions in the water chugging contest.

SPEAKER_00

Just just that's what we do. We turn it into pea and it goes down the sewer slide.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Whoa, that's what makes the sewer slide girls. See, people at the water park are worried about there being pee in their pool water. We are worried that there's pool water in our pee.

SPEAKER_00

That's that's a good one.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, and so this is um, yeah. Wow. Is there anything you can't do?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, now I'm fully on the spot. Um, I cannot, I could juggle as a kid, I can't anymore. Whoa! Um, I can't I stopped, I stopped doing it, so I can't do it anymore. I wish I could juggle. I cannot play cello. I cannot I could probably learn it, but I can't play it. Uh there's a it sucks. When you when you have to list things, there's a lot of things I can't do. There's many, many things I can't do. Um so we'll just leave it at that. Most of the things I listed are the only things I can do.

SPEAKER_03

Ooh, that's a good that's a good out.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, and I can I can do multi-step synthesis. I can do that. So that's cool.

SPEAKER_03

Whoa, is that where they loop it and then add another chemistry.

SPEAKER_00

The other kind of stuff.

SPEAKER_03

Hey, we're gonna cut that out where I look like a fucking idiot.

SPEAKER_00

No, it was a that was actually, I thought it was a good joke.

SPEAKER_03

I mean then I was joking, and I'm such a clever writer. Um Wow. Okay, so but you like dinosaurs? That's what I do like dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_00

Are you gonna ask me a qu per perchance a question about them?

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna ask you, I'm gonna ask you a couple different questions about dinosaurs. That's so crazy, that's why we're here. All that other stuff, um, all that other stuff, fluff. Now we're here for the mean potatoes. This is, yeah, the first thing that we like to do on what's your favorite dinosaur podcast is is figure out where you came to me with dinosaur wants to pod. Yes. And so uh the first question is is always on a scale of one dinosaur to five dinosaurs, how much do you like dinosaurs?

SPEAKER_00

I have a hot I don't know, I like all animals almost equally. Well so I don't know whether or not to give dinosaurs or pret like a five because all animals are a five, or if I should like meter it and give dinos a three because I don't want to give them the spotlight. But then again, dinos kinda they kinda earn the spotlight in a lot of ways. So I think I'm gonna give I'm gonna give how about I I give the um Mesozoic era a five.

SPEAKER_03

Ooh.

SPEAKER_00

So like the dinosaur era. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Okay. Five. Counts. That counts. I'll give it a five. Heard it here first, folks. That's I'm really hung up on this. You love all animals?

SPEAKER_00

I do love all animals. I love worms.

SPEAKER_03

Whoa.

SPEAKER_00

I love blood worms. Show an image of a blood worm's hooks on the screen. It'll be right here.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man, that's gonna be hard for me to figure out how to edit, but I'm excited.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, um, so uh yeah, I like all sorts of animals. There's no animals I truly hate. I don't like being around some animals, but I also wouldn't like being around dinosaurs, I think. I think they'd freak out if I was around a T Rex.

SPEAKER_03

Dinosaurs would they scare me so much.

SPEAKER_00

They're so big.

SPEAKER_03

They're so big.

SPEAKER_00

The small ones I could I could, you know.

SPEAKER_03

I think even the small ones I'm a little bit scared of. I'm scared of chickens, dude.

SPEAKER_00

Dinos are like I could beat the shit out of a chicken. I could kick a chicken's teeth in. I could beat a chicken. You know, my my great-grandmother would r raise chickens and uh she would just grab them by the head and kill him in one go. So you can kill a chicken pretty easy.

SPEAKER_03

I have I have heard stories of that. Like you just need to crank your neck a little.

SPEAKER_00

And they're done. Oh. Really weak. They got hollow bones, just like dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

They got hollow bones. Yeah, no, I agree. I just um I'm a skittish. A chicken, I'll be like, I'm gonna catch this pigeon, and it'll turn, and I'll be like, bah, no matter what.

SPEAKER_00

I think you're like that a little bit with people too.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. That's cute.

SPEAKER_00

I think you're you're definitely like that with women. Uh I don't think so. Uh you you actually, that's like the one group you're not like that with. You're very comfortable around women and not anything else.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's yeah, everything else, if it's not a girl, it's not for me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That's how I feel. Um, also that way about dinosaurs. My second favorite females, dinosaurs. Yeah. Only the girl dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_00

Are are dinosaurs a species where the females are larger than the males?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's such a good question that I bet you a real dinosaur expert would know.

SPEAKER_00

It's a good question.

SPEAKER_03

We're gonna look that up.

SPEAKER_00

I we could look that. Should I pull it up?

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no, because we only have 17%.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Okay. We also have a good light indicator to know when the when the thing dies.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, sick. That's so smart.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so we can we can watch this fucking camera die in real time.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, yeah. Uh no, that's um. Are the girl species? I feel like I would have read that somewhere.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think they are. I think they are. But I don't know if birds are. But I think no, birds aren't. Ostriches I know aren't. Uh male ostriches are much larger than female ostriches.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

So I don't think dinosaurs, at certain at least not theropod dinosaurs, are uh species where sexual dimorphism leads to larger females than males.

SPEAKER_03

But in Jurassic Park also, they were they were um they were all supposed to be girls, I thought. When they called them, they were all supposed to be girls. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, let's not talk about Jurassic Park, I have to.

SPEAKER_03

You hate Jurassic Park?

SPEAKER_00

I think that it's an interesting story concept for the first movie, but I only like the first movie, and I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I agree with that. I agree. I that's a hot take. I I'm okay with.

SPEAKER_00

I kind of like World because I like that they go along the lines of like, well, we're just not even making dinosaurs anymore. We're just making monsters for people to enjoy. Which is what they were doing in the first movie. Yeah. Um and in fact, there's a line I think in World that is like more aligned with the book where they're like, these are just not dinosaurs. Like, yeah. They're so dinosaur DNA has not survived. There is none left on this planet, um, other than in the in the bodies of birds. So we we cannot recreate dinosaurs. Too late.

SPEAKER_03

Too late, we missed out.

SPEAKER_00

Rip bozo.

SPEAKER_03

But um, yeah, I only like the first one, and then um I don't really like World because I don't like um Chris Pratt. I'm really fair. I like being on that.

SPEAKER_00

So you're not gonna see Mario 2?

SPEAKER_03

I'm not gonna see Mario. You heard it here first, guys. What's your favorite dinosaur is an anti-Mario 2 podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Rip Rip Mario.

SPEAKER_03

But yeah, I don't uh I also do think just a little bit that Hollywood is the cash grab, and they talk about it a little bit in the book of like it really w it's like um it's just a bunch of scientists that wanted to see what would happen, and then the government got involved, and then they then it had to be a secret, and then you could pay people off, and then and then guys died, like and no one cared. Like there's it reminds me so much of like capitalism and uh and then now it's a a cash grab of a movie where they're just like now we're just making monsters, and you're like, make a fucking dinosaur then, for Christ's sake.

SPEAKER_00

Make one for real.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Make a for real dinosaur.

SPEAKER_03

I think they're trying. I think Elon Musk said he's trying to.

SPEAKER_00

I hate Elon. I hate Elon Musk.

SPEAKER_03

We obviously We're an anti-Elon podcaster.

SPEAKER_00

This episode at least is definitely anti-Elon. You might get someone who's pro-Elon in the future.

SPEAKER_03

If you're watching this and you're pro-Elon, turn it the fuck off now. Because henceforth you won't enjoy it either. Um, yeah, I hope that he builds Jurassic Park as poorly as he builds everything else and then he don't have to eat. He eats it right up. Eats it right up.

SPEAKER_00

I hope he gets eaten by his own dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

That yeah. Oh, that would be so cool.

SPEAKER_00

Honestly, it would be so funny if he if he did Jurassic Park because he would be so upset about the dinosaurs being transgender.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, he would be so mad! That's so funny.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, that's I have one more They call it a dead name because um the dinosaurs are dead to me now.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I had a bunch of gay dino questions.

SPEAKER_00

Solidarity to Vivian, but but that was a that was a funny joke, I think.

SPEAKER_03

Vivian, if you're watching, please watch.

SPEAKER_00

Vivian, whatever you changed your last name to. Please watch this podcast.

SPEAKER_03

Vivian, please. Vivian, you're our only hope.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good one. Yeah. They got dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

Whoa! Right?

SPEAKER_00

They got kind of dinosaur-like creatures.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know that that universe is classifying them using the same.

SPEAKER_00

Probably not.

SPEAKER_03

You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_00

They call they call it English basic, which seems uh imperialist, but Whoa, they call it English basic? Yeah, the basic language is is called uh uh the common language, which is English, is called basic. This has nothing to do with dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

This has nothing to do with dinosaurs, that's okay. When me and Emily were on our we just we would be like Tyrannosaurus Rex! And then we're like, brought it back to dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You just have to bring up dinosaurs. It doesn't even have to um wait, yeah. So you said that the Mesozoic Eric rates five out of five. That's so fun. And then, um you know a lot about dinosaurs?

SPEAKER_00

I know a good amount about dinosaurs. I probably know more than average.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's so fun.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think I know enough to consider myself any sort of expert. I think I've I think I've nailed the other end of the Dunning-Kruger effect where I I assume I know basically nothing about dinosaurs. Um but there like I I I I know a lot of facts about dinosaurs, and I can name many dinosaur species, but I I don't know almost I we we as a species know basically nothing about dinosaurs because we're only working off of fossil information. So we kind of just don't know shit already, and then there are people who who don't know shit who are experts, and I'm not even fucking close to that.

SPEAKER_03

Like Yeah, but also the the more dinosaurs you get, the more specific you can get, and then you get to be an expert in like frickin' a certain range of potosaurs. Yeah, it's like shit. You don't know anything about dinosaurs then you know about a couple of dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well they probably know most about they probably know general things about every dinosaur, and then they know everything that we know about like four dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Because there are some dinosaurs, you we know we only know like eight things. So there's an expert who knows all the eight things about that dinosaur. And that's their job.

SPEAKER_03

Oh he knows all eight things so good, or she knows so good. Yeah. Um, that's a good point. But they say that there's like it's like a Dunning Krueger adjacent where um when you're an expert at one thing, you assume that you're an expert at other things, and that actually you're not. It's like happens, they say in science, and like the they go, Of course I know how to do this thing.

SPEAKER_00

I'm an That should be called the Neil deGrasse Tyson affair.

SPEAKER_03

We hate Neil deGrasse Tyson! We actually don't.

SPEAKER_00

I actually like Neil deGrasse Tyson. What? I actually like him because he's cutting this out. He's so such like a weirdly staunch trans ally.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, alright, I'm back in.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he pulled you back in with that. Like it's so out there that he's like debating Ben Shapiro and he's like, well, maybe you're completely wrong about trans people. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Neil you're on thin fucking ice.

SPEAKER_00

He's on thin ice, but he's he's he's he's he's got uh he's spread out on the ice, so he's not gonna fall through.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, because he knows. Oh, I think it just died. That's so funny. Wow, what a good that was.

SPEAKER_00

We could just do non-video for the rest.

SPEAKER_03

Ooh! Oh my god, okay, yeah. Wait, should this be Did you guys you guys did no video? Everyone keeps yelling at me for doing video.

SPEAKER_00

I think you can you can get you you shouldn't only do video. Um you should have video and audio. So this would be this would be a uh uh probably going where no Nepal has gone before in this in this specific realm where you've never done just an audio.

SPEAKER_03

I've never done just an audio.

SPEAKER_00

Uh we can use the video for the first part, but now this would be also a good time to test your editing skills to tank the the uh figure out a nice video background that you can throw up and say, like, the video died here, so I'm just gonna throw stuff up and then just use this to test your editing skills to improve the video. Okay, but then So cut everything up until this and let's go right back into it.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, because yeah, I'm gonna go, well, but wait, oh, because we're not even we're just not even gonna be a part two. This is just we're gonna keep going.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, do you want to do a part two?

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no, no, no. I love this idea. We're just gonna Nobody yeah, so this is forced learning. This is also a test to see who actually watches the show. If they don't hit me up and go, hey, the audio fell off at the halfway through Michelle's episode, I'm gonna go, you know what I mean? Like they're um, but also, yeah, now I'm thinking about cool backgrounds.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you you could have something. So something uh uh some podcasts will do is they'll just basically have a the video posted over a background so there's like a border around it. Um and that's also something that you use if you're reposting clips to other areas. You'll create like a template that's like a a 9x16 vertical, and you'll you'll put on top of that template you'll have like the four by three video segment so that you can Yeah, there's there's all sorts of styles the podcast I think. I'm sure the listeners don't care.

SPEAKER_01

The listeners don't even care. They're like, talk about dinosaurs for pussy.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, we we're just gonna cut back in. Why don't we cut back in and say Neil deGrasse Tyson? Uh the video went out, and then but back to but back to NDT.

SPEAKER_03

Neil deGrasse Tyson had he has allegations. He he touched a couple ladies he wasn't supposed to. What? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He had allegations.

SPEAKER_03

That's why I don't like him.

SPEAKER_00

I did not know he had allegations.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, me and Julia and Jason discovered it, like, uh because I had heard about them and that's why I started hating him. I didn't really do any further research because I'm an idiot. Yeah. But then we Wikipedia did, and he's got like a couple of couple of girlies from his past. It was when he was uh not famous though. He's not the worst guy ever. There's certainly worse people.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, but he's apparently a bad guy. He's apparently a bad guy.

SPEAKER_03

Um, but I don't think he's in the Epstein files. That's the barometer I got now.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

He never hit up old Jeff for some girls.

SPEAKER_00

That would be pretty bad. Bill Gates. Bill Gates, Bill Clinton. Lot of bills.

SPEAKER_03

Lot of bills! What but then this is um Jeff Jeffrey Epstein, they said that he would like go he would just fund mad scientist experiments because he was like cloning babies and stuff like that. Have you heard have you ever done a deep dive?

SPEAKER_00

Not that deep of a dive, I just assume he did awful stuff.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, oh he did awful stuff and then weird stuff. Like, you know what I mean? You're like, oh, that's awful. That's I can't believe a person would do that. And then there's other stuff where you're like, what?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um that's really good is that apparently a large part of the like transphobic rhetoric and racist rhetoric that's come out has has been associated with like Epstein and them organizing how to get people to not focus on the one true war in the class war. Uh and uh so now people, whenever someone says something like bigoted online, uh people will say nice nice opinion. Did Epstein give it to you?

SPEAKER_02

Whoa, that's so funny.

SPEAKER_00

Because it's like that that like obviously is a distraction from the Oh, that's awesome! And uh and then in the files they reaffirm that. Assuming that that's true, and actually within the files, and we don't I'm I don't know. It's I don't I don't want to trust the stuff that that the federal government puts out about Epstein, um, because I don't trust the federal government, but I also want to believe it. But I do wonder how much of it is a distraction.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, it's absolutely g Ghillane was on 4chan and would make a it would it would fuel fake conspiracies so that they would look insane, even though you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_00

Because then you're like They created poll, basically. Yeah. They worked together to create that political environment. That's and it makes sense that they would do that because it has worked very well. It's a basic. It's working so well. So clever of them. It's like the one time rich people had serious foresight to control society. Dude! No, I don't think it's gonna work in the end.

SPEAKER_02

You don't think it's gonna work?

SPEAKER_00

I think I I don't think I don't think so, no. No, I'm I'm uh I'm very optimistic. I don't think they're I just don't think they're there's a certain kind of non-forward thinking that comes with being at the top of society where you have to be super reactionary. So their plans never go that far into the future. Yeah um that's like the whole thing with with Trump um trying to get rid of the quarterly sales report, is that the reason they're doing that is because they're saying that China does that, because China plans 50 to 100 years ahead, but China got that from communist theory, which is about planning an economy. China is not a communist country, they're they're state capitalists, but they do have a largely planned economy in many regards, and that allows them to do forward thinking. Like that's the thing that they're using as a tool to do forward thinking, which the American government and the American economy won't do. It's not centrally planned, or logically really planned at all, other than to make profit.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, to make profit. That's what I always think, that's what it always comes down to, to make profit.

SPEAKER_00

So they won't, they they cannot make profit and think ahead ahead. You can't do both of those things. It's a contradiction. So they'll try to do both of those things, but what it's always going to pull one way or another, and it in the case of profiteering, it almost always pulls.

SPEAKER_03

It's always profit. It always is profit. They want to profit so bad.

SPEAKER_00

Even if it makes society better, more functional, and ultimately would lead to significantly more profit in like a thousand years. They don't care about it.

SPEAKER_03

I yeah, I do, that's why I like identifying as an anarchist, and then people go with Denwa, I go, I don't have to believe in Denwah. I anarchist. Get rid of it.

SPEAKER_00

Though you could you could just be a communist and believe in a classic money with society. I didn't even know that was an option. That is communism kind of covers your bases there.

SPEAKER_03

I got this cool idea for you. Communism.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

No, uh yeah, I just I I I think that in knowing and understanding That America is they have dinosaur bones there, you know. Um this is how I brought back to the dinosaur bone.

SPEAKER_00

They do have dinosaur bones in the back.

SPEAKER_03

In America, I think that because we're so profit-driven, I think that the only thing that is going to sort of grind the system to a halt is like uh the overthrow. But then I think once the vacuum's created, I think it ends. This is what they'll tell you. Um it's gonna create a vacuum that makes everything worse. And then so you're like, okay, fine, then we shouldn't overthrow America.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But that's what I want.

SPEAKER_00

That's the yeah, it's it's the thing is that it's not like I don't want to go too much into this. I'm not I'm not that educated, I'm not as theoretically studied as other comrades, as it were.

SPEAKER_03

Umrades, if you want to be on the show, hit me up.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, but one one of the uh things is like, yeah, the counter-revolution is sort of the worry. Is that you you you have a revolution, you overthrow the capitalist system, and then uh, or you overthrow the system, or like you get the workers basically all working together to create a society that functions without the bourgeois apparatus. But then the bourgeois apparatus would still sort of exist and would try to fight back. Yeah. Or you would have opportunists within the uh revolution that would try to try take control. That's what happened in the USSR. Um then you you also have some collaborationism where you might have like some paramilitary force, like, for instance, the police in America could do this, where the the police would uh join the workers, but being a paramilitary organization could then usurp power from the uh working class like party equivalent and uh lead it in back basically right into bourgeois capitalism.

SPEAKER_03

I think that happens way more often than we think.

SPEAKER_00

That happens in basically every failed revolution. Okay, cool. That's what I meant. That happened in Sudan.

SPEAKER_03

Uh I don't know every revolution, but uh the ones I've read about, I'm like, so fucking yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And it's it's usually some theoretical failure on the part of the um working class revolution. Uh or it's it's yeah, just like revolutionary moments happen uh in societies no matter what, and if you don't plan for them, they'll just repeat the cycle again. Yeah. Basically. So you have to plan for it. That's why you need a revolutionary communist party. Uh that's the basic that's the basic idea there. Uh join the RCA today.

SPEAKER_01

This is such a fun episode!

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Um this might be horrible use of language. I might be being way more careless than I should be. I'm trying not to be, but hopefully this is educational to someone. No, that was awesome.

SPEAKER_03

Hit us up if you want more details about being communism. Um, question number two?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think I don't think I don't think we got five out of five dinosaurs. That's so funny! Yeah, we've been going for 45 minutes. No, I'm kidding. We've only been going for 30, so it's okay, cool.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, not that bad. Um, yeah, wait, okay, so question number two. That is such a fun intro. That's just the intro.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, no, question number two is do what's from your um childhood, what's a dinosaur that stuck out to you or that you remember finally as a dinosaur fan? What was what was the one that was?

SPEAKER_00

I watched you. I watched the Disney movie Dinosaur.

SPEAKER_03

Whoa! Oh, I love that.

SPEAKER_00

And I I saw this this amazing creature by the name of the connoitle. And I loved the three connois.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's adorable. I've never seen dinosaur, but everyone's everyone keeps saying. It's really not good. You shouldn't speak.

SPEAKER_00

It's so ugly. It's one of the most butt-fucking ugly CGI cartoons I've ever seen. It's so ugly. They're just they're just they're But they don't even got dinos, they just call them shit. Shark tooth.

SPEAKER_03

I love it, I love it. I love it.

SPEAKER_00

Bullshit. You can't be faking them.

SPEAKER_03

No, because this is why. This is why I, as a dinosaur expert, that's what I call myself. I'm not really but I like that they go, it's it's shark tooth and long because that's what people who don't know dinosaurs think of dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Like the T-Rex, every big dinosaur I go, that's a T-Rex.

SPEAKER_00

Way back when Jesus was riding a dinosaur, uh, he just called him shark tooth.

SPEAKER_03

He called him shark tooth and long neck.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It's very, I'm very okay. I don't even like what people's favorite dinosaurs like a stegosaurus. I'm like, that's a basic ass dinosaur. You need to do more research.

SPEAKER_00

That I do like stegosaurus. It's got a thagamizer. That's what they call this tail spikes, a thagamizer. That's sick. Like, that's a good dinosaur to like. But if it's the only dinosaur you know, then it's That's what I'm saying!

SPEAKER_03

And people get away with being like, oh, I like stegosaurus and brontosaurus, and you're like, I get it. You read one dinosaur book.

SPEAKER_00

Whenever someone tells me they like one of those dinosaurs, I say you like stegosaurus, you should check out Kentrasaur.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_00

And I just tell them another dinosaur that's related, and then they'll go, oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

In dinosaur video game, there's like four like triceratops cousins that are all way cooler looking triceratops. You're like, this is how it happens.

SPEAKER_00

I like protoceratops, yeah. Pacchirhinoceros, is that is that it's like the flat one. Um there's a couple other silly guys in there. I can't think of them right now.

SPEAKER_03

There's something.

SPEAKER_00

I I was never a big um sauropod or uh sauropsid or uh it's a weirdly it's a fan favorite.

SPEAKER_03

A lot of people love that. I don't like it.

SPEAKER_00

I don't like the herbivore dinosaurs so much, other than Therizinosaurus, which is a theropod dinosaur, uh, which is a so it's related to like T-Rex and Volatrophora. It's on that side, but it eats plants and it has the longest, I believe it's the longest claws to body ratio of any energy. Oh it's either that or just the longest claws in nature because it's you know 20 feet tall and it's got three foot-long claws.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, wow.

SPEAKER_00

But it's got these huge slashing claws, and so they thought it used them to bridate on stuff, but no, it would whack trees in the room.

SPEAKER_03

I like when it's deceptively defended or whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's got its own use. It's very unique.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I love it. I yeah, I don't like herbivores. Um, I don't like flying, and I don't like water.

SPEAKER_00

I like big Well, the flying and water ones, they're not dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

I know, but that's I'm glad you said that because literally I understand what you mean, but a lot of times I'll be like, what's your favorite dinosaur? And people go, oh, the megalodon, and you're like, so that's a shark.

SPEAKER_00

You said a fish. What the fuck? You can't say a fish!

SPEAKER_03

That's not what the fuck I asked, but I but that's what I mean.

SPEAKER_00

I I Also, also Megalodon, not from the Mesozoic era. From like the last like 40 million years. Like literally so far removed.

SPEAKER_03

People don't have like that's what I mean. They don't or like you know what I mean? In my dinosaur video game, you can make an Adonymous Rex, which is like from the movie. I'm like, that's not even a real fucking dinosaur. But there's so many missions that make you, they go, oh, build a uh Adonymous Rex. And I'm like, I don't want to fucking play with this fake ass dinosaur.

SPEAKER_00

Did you see the Distortus Rex from Jurassic World Rebirth? I saw Jurassic World Rebirth in theaters because I am a cuck chill for big movie with the action, and I corrupt it and I eat the popcorn. I eat the popcorn and popcorn to get it back to candy for free with the popcorn in the drink combo. And you see it at the Go AMC. Oh wow! Are you a Stubbs member today? Fucking don't you love product? And I do love product, it turns out, as long as product is dinos. Big dinos on screen, roar real loud.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, I agree. I agree. I just I've been on the outs of movies for a sec, dude. Yeah, that makes sense.

SPEAKER_00

That makes sense.

SPEAKER_03

Unless I'll do it for there weren't enough gay dinosaurs in Jurassic Park for me. I'll I'll go if there's something gay out, I'll make sure to drive to the movie theater. Dinosaurs. Question number three. What's who do you think is the gayest dinosaur?

SPEAKER_00

Who do I think the gayest dinosaur is? I think anything with feathers.

SPEAKER_03

Wow!

SPEAKER_00

Anything with feathers is pretty gay.

SPEAKER_03

That I do think that also.

SPEAKER_00

U Tyrannus is a gay dinosaur.

SPEAKER_03

That's I think that's what Jason might have said, or something like that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's the fluffy T-Rex.

SPEAKER_03

The fluffy T-Rex!

SPEAKER_00

Uh, that's pretty gay. Uh the other one that's I think super uh um super kinda gay is I think um uh what's the one? It's it's a big guy. Is it it's it's diplodacus.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I love Diplodocus!

SPEAKER_00

It's very gay. It's a gay name.

SPEAKER_03

It's a gay name. It's the gayest name.

SPEAKER_00

It's a gay name. Anything with diplo, it's like you're gay. Diplocalis, I know you're a salamander, you're a gay salamander.

SPEAKER_03

Gay salamander! That's fun. Um, and then uh last week, I I usually have like a little bit of a little thing, but it doesn't matter today.

SPEAKER_00

Um we lost that functionality.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we know, but that's okay, because I literally only did it for one episode. I just like saying we always or we usually, and it's not ever true. Um but I always ask, um, one time I asked, who what dinosaur do you think is like the biggest pussy? Like which one? Like who do you think?

SPEAKER_00

Biggest pussy?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think like that I could take in a fight. Like a dinosaur, I think I could take a gigantoraptor in a fight.

SPEAKER_02

Shut up! You're not gonna take a raptor in a fight.

SPEAKER_00

It's not, no, it's an omnivore. It's not like a hunting raptor.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Like eats fruits and berries.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's so cute. I could beat up that raptor. A lot of I think that's the right move is to go after an herbivore, because they don't even know how to fight.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they like, well, some of them do, but like I think it's like the omnivores. Like, the ones that aren't good enough to be uh like an herbivore eaten up in the trees, and also aren't good enough to be killing the herbivores.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like you're just a weak little baby.

SPEAKER_03

You're just a little bitch.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Like, uh uh Overraptor. I could I hate Ovaraptor. It's the biggest pussy. It's so tiny. And then in there's a game called Ark Survival Evolved.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, tell us.

SPEAKER_00

And this is not a dinosaur, but there is a guy in it named Carbonymus. It is a turtle. It's like an ancient turtle, and every time I see it, I throw spears at its face until it dies. I gang stalk those turtles, I kill everyone I see. I hate those turtles, they suck. They'll never beat me in a fight. They're never good enough.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, I gotta get this game. You were the it's that's a character in the game is a game.

SPEAKER_00

And it's a turtle. It's a gi it's an ancient turtle. What? And you can hit it with rocks until it dies.

SPEAKER_03

There was this game that I used to play, it was very hard, so I wasn't very good at it, but you played as like a like uh like a oh fucking monkey, like a early species of a monkey, and you had to like develop like sound and like and like fucking fear in the game. Like you would be like walking around and you would see a tiger and it would be like, do you wanna hide or do you wanna fight? And then you were like, I don't know. Like it was, oh man, I wish I could explain. But then like the it would tell you when the ground was shifting so you could like hear that animals were coming, but you didn't start off the game with that skill real good. Like you had to like develop it. It was so crazy, it was so hard, but you were like being you were like becoming sentient in the game. It was like fucking crazy.

SPEAKER_00

It's just the evolution of mind. I think you're gonna as a video game. Yeah, that's really interesting. Do you get cooking? Is that a thing? That's kind of the turning point.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, can I tell you? I you have to like find your son. There's like a little monkey that you have to save, and then after you save him, you have to fight off a giant cat, and I never could beat the cat. I think one time I did and then died immediately, but like you're always hungry, you always need water, you're always tired, and there and there's so much going on where you're like, is that a berry? And if you eat it and it's poisonous, you die. Like it is such a hard game. Game, if you're listening, fuck you.

SPEAKER_00

Um this is the this is the pathologic style of gameplay. Yeah, it was a game called pathologic, uh, which is about how hard it is to be alive. Pretty much. It's just about suffering. It's a game about suffering. It's like so that sounds like that. It's like a game about how life is hard and you will you will die.

SPEAKER_03

You will die. Life is hard and you will die, folks.

SPEAKER_00

It's true. It doesn't mean it's not worth it's not worth getting hard.

SPEAKER_03

Ha ha, stay hard. Get hard, stay hard.

SPEAKER_00

Get rock hard.

SPEAKER_03

Get rock hard. Um, that was so cool that you had to answer a little bit whenever people say that they can fight a dinosaur, I don't believe them, but you seem very knowledgeable. I think I could take out Steve said a steel cage match uh with a grounded tri um or uh what do they call it? Pterodactyl. That's fucking crazy. They're like six feet tall. Yeah, but so is Steve!

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no, they're just nobody gets them in a headline. Pteran a pterodactyl is so big. It's so much bigger than you think.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe a baby one then, dude. That's then okay.

SPEAKER_00

I'm thinking a baby T-Rex. That's fucking you can say, oh, I can find a T-Rex, because I can find a baby T-Rex. Like, no. Wait, that's fair. I assume that like I can use my environment. Yeah. I can make get a stick and stab it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

If you throw me in the wild and then there's a gigantoraptor, I think I could I could fashion a weapon.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's awesome. No, I like that.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like if you're doing a human versus animals in in like some sort of fight scenario, like modern human, you have to give them an environment in which they can make something to kill that animal. Yeah. Because that's what humans do. Yeah. That's why we're the number one predator on the planet. It's because we build things that allow us to defeat anything else.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Number one, baby. Number one, you do a lot of anti-human sentiment where you're like, humans shouldn't be top of the food chain. I actually, I'm a total human supremacist. It's kinda, it seems suspicious.

SPEAKER_03

I hate us at the top. I hate it here.

SPEAKER_00

I think I think we're making a lot of mistakes, but like, I think we have it. I think we got the right head about us to fix what mistakes we make.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but you're an optimist. I'm a pessimist. I think we stole this spot from the megafauna, we murdered, and this.

SPEAKER_00

They sucked. Every single one of them was dumb, and they were gonna die in the fucking warming of the ICT.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but they weren't, they weren't, they're not gonna make AI, man. They're supposed to be this smart. We're not. They might have. They might, they might have. And there's gonna be that's the second episode of Our Twilight Zone. The dinosaurs be are become the humans, and then they're in their little office jobs type of ideas.

SPEAKER_00

Could you imagine a sexy lady lizard?

SPEAKER_03

The street walkers all very sexy lizard ladies. There's gotta be lady.

SPEAKER_00

There's gotta be a dinosaur velociraptor sitting on the corner smoking a cigarette, talking about how much it hates capitalism. It's fucking awesome. It's so funny. Uh uh dinosaur marble lights rocks. Oh my god. I love that thought.

SPEAKER_03

Joe, is there an ancient camel that Joe Camel would be? Or like uh like a transport that Joe Camel is?

SPEAKER_00

Parasaur. That's what I'm saying. Like Parasaur Lights. That would rock.

SPEAKER_03

That's so funny.

SPEAKER_00

Joe Parasaur. I feel like Parasaur is pretty close to a camel. If you play the game, Ark Survival of Alves is pretty close to camel.

SPEAKER_03

I'll play it. I'll literally play it.

SPEAKER_00

You could ride a parasaur, just you just ride it around. It goes kind of slow. You get to ride the dinosaurs? Yeah. You get to ride the dinosaurs and fight with the dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

That's what so I might.

SPEAKER_00

You get to fight dinosaurs with dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

I'm not in my dinosaur game. I'm only on the first one. The third one they say gets more dinosaur interactive, because I guess that's what people want. Not me, but I've heard tell. That's what and so in the in the next one you can like go in their enclosures and like fuck with them like in a real way.

SPEAKER_00

But I that's not throw popcorn at the dinosaur.

SPEAKER_03

No, yeah, that's what I'm saying, dude.

SPEAKER_00

That's the cool thing about genetically modifying and creating dinosaurs, is that you don't have to treat them the way you treat regular ants. Just abuse them. Because they're not supposed to be here anyway.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I make the really strong ones like weak and meek, and then I'll like overpower a like a small, like aggressive um carnivore, and then I'll and then I like watching him win the fights. I'm like, ha ha yeah. But it's like I had to genetically modify to make this one weak and harmless. Just so he could win.

SPEAKER_00

So horrifically.

SPEAKER_03

It's fun. Yeah, it's a fun game.

SPEAKER_00

Just absolutely you literally did not stop to think whether or not you could you do it and didn't think if you're not.

SPEAKER_03

They reward it, the game very early rewards you for like having carnivores eat each other, and then you're like, okay, fine, two T-Rexes, two Adonymous Rexes, make them both real mean, and then they'll just fight for hours, and people are just throwing money at you.

SPEAKER_00

Fighting pits but dinosaurs is literally You're dogfighting, like you're you're the Michael Vick of Jurassic World War I.

SPEAKER_03

I get real sick with it. I used to make the poke when I played Pokemon, I would make them work 24 hours a day. I rarely played with them. It it was in um I think it's in Shield, Sword and Shield, you can like put them to work to get like XP bonuses. I they were never not in the mines for me, dude. I was like, I was there's two, there's two nests, so I had two dittos and I was just breeding them and I was working them, dude. I never played the game.

SPEAKER_00

No wonder you're a pessimist.

SPEAKER_03

You're fucking I have like two gym badges, but I got a whole factory of Pokemon just working, dude.

SPEAKER_00

I I'm I I feel like I would if if I was in the Pokemon world, I'd be a trainer because I would love to raise the Pokemon.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I would I would catch a Pokemon, I'd buy a Pokeball for like $2, because they're like $2. Yeah. I would just buy a Pokeball and just throw it at random Pokemon and then just start battling immediately. I would I would level entire fields of Pidgeys.

SPEAKER_03

And then what?

SPEAKER_00

Then I would go take on the gym leader.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, hell yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I think if I was in Pokemon I could do it.

SPEAKER_03

You'd be like a professional.

SPEAKER_00

I think I'd have the sauce to do it.

SPEAKER_03

And then in some of them you can make them big, like like almost like uh Digimon is what they remind me of. I can't remember what it's like.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, the uh Dynamax?

SPEAKER_03

Dynamax, yeah!

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that only exists in the Galar region. We wouldn't we wouldn't be there. We'd be in whatever Michigan. We would be in the Pokemon world. Which is curious. What would Michigan be like in the Pokemon world? I want them to do a great likes Pokemon region. They never will. This is my plan. I'm gonna tell you my plan. I'm gonna get famous.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna get super famous and make a million dollars.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna get, I'm gonna be as a writer, as a director, I'm gonna weasel my way into making a live-action Pokemon movie somehow. And then, during the premiere, during the thing, I'm gonna invite someone from Pokemon to Michigan and invite them to like the UP and like say, like, hey, would you like to visit America and show them off Michigan? Because this is a fun fact. The way that the Unova region, which is based on Unor, New York was created, was that some CEO from uh higher up from um Pokemon, the Pokemon company from Game Freak came to New York and was like, I want to make this into Pokemon. Whoa! They visited New York City and they like they went upstate and they were like, this is an amazing region. The next one's gonna not be based on Japan, it's gonna be based on New York.

SPEAKER_03

They're all based on Japan before that?

SPEAKER_00

They were, yeah, yeah. Uh up to that they were all based on some part of Japan.

SPEAKER_03

No sh I never knew that. I'm like not a Pokemon.

SPEAKER_00

Kanto is just a a region in Japan.

SPEAKER_03

Wow! That's funny.

SPEAKER_00

That that's like that would be one.

SPEAKER_03

They should mod that. You what? Yeah, you can't.

SPEAKER_00

I don't want to mod it, I wanna but I wanna I want to have the influence to make the Pokemon company do this. I want to get I'm gonna get a million I'm gonna be rich and famous and get a million dollars.

SPEAKER_03

That's it.

SPEAKER_00

And then what I'm gonna do is weasel my way into. That's my plan.

SPEAKER_03

That's my million dollar plan is I want to make an app that uses real-time GPS and it tells you what the cops look like in your area.

SPEAKER_00

So Waze doesn't that would be like good to integrate with Waze, sadly, they're owned by Google.

SPEAKER_03

I know, that's why that's why I need to be a millionaire to do it, because I think I would have to create my own GPS, and then it would have to be like trusted, and then it would have to be like uh, like people couldn't know going into it that it was gonna be the cop app because then people would like to report it.

SPEAKER_00

Report it. Yeah, you would go to jail.

SPEAKER_03

But it would be it's just gonna be a sick ass GPS system that people are gonna be like, I don't know, I like that it's not owned by Google or Apple. And then one day they turn it on and they go, Do you want to turn on cop watch?

SPEAKER_00

And it just and it'll show you their face because every cop has a phone.

SPEAKER_03

If it shows you their face, or I really just want to know what the hidden vehicles look like, but then also like the vehicles in that area, like Birmingham is different than Royal Oak, like they all have different color vehicles, yeah, and I hate that.

SPEAKER_00

And I just want to know some of them they have a black car with dark gray like Bartington. It's like deceptive, like it shouldn't be allowed to show.

SPEAKER_03

There's no way because you're supposed to be able to see the cops in case there's an emergency. They're not supposed to be hiding and waiting for you to do crime.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, which further exemplifies the point that the police are not there for the community or for safety. They are only there to protect the interests of capital and to subjugate the lower classes.

SPEAKER_03

Kids, if you're watching.

SPEAKER_00

And further, it's evidence that that's what they're like. At least certainly in America. I don't know about other countries. Maybe they're nice and delightful.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I bet they're s I bet your cops are so nice, Newfoundland.

SPEAKER_00

Canada cops?

SPEAKER_03

I forgot that. Maritimer cops? Absolutely not. They're the meanests.

SPEAKER_00

They gotta be so mean. They're like so racist. Like they're they're they are like, they get pretty white supremacists up there in Newfoundland.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I've I have heard that when I was in when I was in Canada recently, they were like, we got our own little thing going on. You're like, oh no.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's like Manitoba and like Saskatchewan, and then also like Newfoundland in that area. And then Ontario and Quebec are like, okay, but Quebec is like like French supremacists, but they're like, You can be black as long as you're French.

SPEAKER_03

Like I sort of like that attitude. I don't know. Um, wait, and then so question number three or four, whatever question we're on, who cares? Um, this is like this is supposed to be funny because usually we talk about dinosaurs the whole time, and then this is like a twist in the middle.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, but we have been all over the place, and that's really cool, also. But so the third question of the what's your favorite dinosaur podcast in the spirit of all things dinosaur, the question is why do you think that we're all here?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I think that we're all here because uh three point four billion years.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um there were a there was deep in the ocean near some hydrothermal vents uh a collection of uh soupy chemicals that connected themselves and created the first uh strands of amino acids uh uh protein strands and eventually uh uh RNA strands that then collected and congealed and coalesced together, forming patterns that created cellular life, which for about two billion years funked around, uh diverged into things that could absorb light, into things that that could breathe the uh uh oxygen that those light absorbing bacteria produced as a result of creating sugars, and then slowly you get down, and then there's uh these these little cells start grouping together and expanding and and connecting and forming larger life. And then all the way down uh they form um life that is capable of just barely squeaking onto land, which which ekes out onto land, and then boom, a bunch of stuff dies. Then that all happens again, and it changes more and gets more advanced. They go from um laying eggs in the form of uh a gel in the water to being able to lay eggs on it on land, and then boom, there's another extinction event. And then they they these beautiful creatures called the uh dinosaurs roam the earth for 200 million years around, and and then boom, a meteor made primarily of iridium strikes the planet, leaves a thick layer of ash, kills everything except for around uh uh 13 to 20% of life, I believe. And um and then what you have are these little fuzzy creatures, these little fuzzy guys who are being oppressed by these dinosaurs, by these, by these tyrant lizards, uh uh are now allowed to fill the niches that dinosaurs previously occupied, uh, and eventually you get a fully undiscovered niche, that being uh civilization and intelligence, which grows into who we are today.

SPEAKER_03

That's a clip, dude. That's what it all did. Awesome. That's exactly it.

SPEAKER_00

That's why we're here.

SPEAKER_03

That's cool. That's that was such a good, and then I'm thinking because we're doing audio only, I'm gonna have like the captions be like colored.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you could just do little doodles. Yeah, little doodle. You can do a little doodle.

SPEAKER_03

Ah, love it. Um that was a good answer. Um, so you don't think life has meaning?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I think that life has every meaning you could possibly want to. Yeah, I think that I think that um I don't even know if meaning is a meaningful concept.

SPEAKER_03

Oh good answer.

SPEAKER_00

Other than, I guess, yeah, meaning is is an uh assigned state of um uh I don't know, I I believe that life has potential and that uh potentialities are fulfilled uh when opportunity is presented, and that is kind of kind of what meaning is. Like that's couple that's close to what meaning is, but that's something that does actually happen. Like that like like uh uh there are states that can happen but don't happen, and slowly they will end up happening if the opportunity and the conditions are right for that to happen. Uh and you can call that, if you want, meaning. I feel like that that growing and and and continuing and expanding and ever-changing this is the meaning of life, as it were. Maybe that's maybe that's as it were.

SPEAKER_03

No, I'm with you. I'm with you. I also don't think life has meaning.

SPEAKER_00

That's not what I said. That's not what I said. I don't think that the I I don't think that the question does life have meaning is a very useful uh application of time.

SPEAKER_03

I think it's people to people whose life has meaning, when you ask does your life has meaning, they they have you know what I mean? Yeah. Like that to me is the essence of meaning is that value that one puts on it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And if and when they go, well, I have a goal or I have an idea or I have an impression of what I'm supposed to think I'm gonna do at this time, then that I think that is like meaning. But I'm with you in that it's a funny thing.

SPEAKER_00

But then you have this horrible thing where you where you you accomplish the thing and now what's your meaning? That happens a lot.

SPEAKER_03

No, that's why.

SPEAKER_00

When you're done, you can't do that thing anymore. You you fail because age uh makes you decrepit, or you you lose that ability, or you simply don't have the time to do that thing anymore. Now what's your meaning? Well that's an ever changing thing, and it's just whatever you have the ability to do is your meaning.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's like, yeah, it's it's it's m like the the meaning of life is just to do.

SPEAKER_03

But that's why that's like why real that's why religious folk choose like making God happy as their goal. It's like, well, because yeah, you can always don't never die to meet God.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna say it's fucking crazy to to believe that your goal is to make God happy and then to say masturbation makes God unhappy. I made a religion. I would say masturbation makes God happy. Drink off drink jerk off, drink booze, but kiss whoever you want. Kiss three people a day.

SPEAKER_03

At the same time, at least one.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you can't, I don't know if you You can do two at once. I don't know if you can do it.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay. A fucking kiss.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. It's like a nitrogen out of trying to form four bottles. It can happen, but it's like kind of an awkward configuration.

SPEAKER_03

Um, that's awesome. That's cool.

SPEAKER_00

It's probably the most pretentious thing I've ever said, but whenever someone asks me, does life have meaning or what is the meaning of life, or why are we all here? I just kind of go, What? I don't know, I'm gonna make stuff up for five minutes.

SPEAKER_03

That makes sense that makes sense. I think an artist's life, I think if you if you have like a meaning. But that's I do the opposite. I I just have a wildly unrealistic goal.

SPEAKER_00

And then To be a successful state-up comedian, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, because then I can just work at it forever, and when I plateau, I can be like, oh well, I book and made it, like all these things.

SPEAKER_00

I want to be a successful filmmaker and a successful chemical engineer. So I I don't want to like do one of those things at the side. I want to do both of those things very well, and that's an even more really Yeah. So don't worry. That's good company here. I that's yeah. Being a stand-up comedian is particularly brutal, especially being a successful stand-up comedian.

SPEAKER_03

I'm trying to be a successful stand-up comedian and not lose myself along the way. I guess that's yeah, that's my chemical science of it. It's not a good idea.

SPEAKER_00

How do you get that? Um How do you not lose yourself along the way? Because first of all, if you do anything, if you if you exist for long enough, you are going to not be yourself anymore in some regards. Yeah. So how do you not lose yourself?

SPEAKER_03

Well the essence in the music the moment.

SPEAKER_00

The essence, you better not let it go.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Ha ha ha! The essence of Nicole is though, um, and so that is the to self-form being true, is being open to the idea of growing. So if it's a new me, I'm okay with that, and it's still it's still me, as long as she doesn't take the easy way or work with people who are bad, or you know, do stuff for the sake of doing it rather than for the love of it.

SPEAKER_00

And I'll add to that, maybe it's good to potentially work with people who are bad if you can make them good.

SPEAKER_03

Um, I'm not really in that fight.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Ha ha. Yeah, yeah. I'm not, you know what I mean? I'm more in the I'm I I hate to say that it's cancel culture, but I do if a movie comes out and the guy's bad, I think we should all just not see it. I don't, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_00

Well there's that's that's the potentially a way to put something.

SPEAKER_03

Rather than seeing it and going, oh, well, it's still art. It's still, oh, it's you know what I mean? Sometimes when people are bad, they go, oh, but the movie was so good.

SPEAKER_00

Well, let's do that with Chris Pratt. And they're never good. Um they're just product. They're they're a paste in a tube that you can lick if you want a little bit of a chemical happy sensation.

SPEAKER_03

That's so funny.

SPEAKER_00

He makes he makes sour like warheads.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's what he makes. That's his sorry. He's not a you're not a chef, right?

SPEAKER_03

You're warheads.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're your uh your sour punch straws, dog. That's what your culinary affection is. Like you can, you can watch Mario 2, which I'm probably gonna do. And sometimes I'll just I'll just eat a little bit of a spoonful of sugar. And that's the same thing.

SPEAKER_03

The exact same experience.

SPEAKER_00

Same thing. There's no there's no nothing else happening there. It's the it's it's a it's a theme park ride. To connect to the last episode where you were talking about how the raptor is. YOO!

SPEAKER_01

Roller coaster!

SPEAKER_00

I had a fun tidbit about raptor. Yeah. The origin of the word raptor.

SPEAKER_03

Yo, tell me!

SPEAKER_00

It's so raptor, like uh originally comes from the Latin rapier. Sword? Uh no. Uh it's R-A-P-E-R-E, and it means to take or to uh steal or to remove. Oh. So like the other R word. Yeah, so uh that went to both of them. Whoa! So it's the same origin.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so you could call them like a Velocirapist if you're not a Velocirapist! Yeah, so you can that's that's the same, that's the same thing.

SPEAKER_03

That's hilarious.

SPEAKER_00

It's very unfortunate. But that's how language works, right?

SPEAKER_03

That is, yeah. I follow this guy on the um, this is the last tangent, and then we're gonna do the final question.

SPEAKER_00

Um We are at 57 minutes. Nice! Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I follow this guy on the Facebook videos because I'm trying I'm really trying to be less on Instagram.

SPEAKER_00

Actually, I think Facebook videos is so much worse. You should just be on Instagram.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but they have they have unsightly ads that will make me stop using the the platform. Like they're at um no, Facebook. Facebook has these like very they don't even end the video yet, they just start the ad.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I go, I'm never using this again today. And it's enough, but he takes the word and then throughout history he pronounces it until we get it. I know that guy now. Oh, I love that.

SPEAKER_00

That guy's also uh leftist. Fun fact. That guy's awesome. That guy actually rocks. I know the guy. That guy rocks! He's uh he's he's uh anti-Zionist, he's anti-colonialism, he's a great guy. Uh that's awesome. You linguistics is like a very you kinda go either way with it, where you're like the worst white supremacist you've ever met, and also bad at linguistics. Or you're like super far left, very descriptivist and incredibly insightful into how language and and culture evolves and changes and how we can connect as a species uh across all these subtle differences that might seem vast if you don't know better.

SPEAKER_01

If you don't know better. That's awesome. Alright, then our final question for the episode What's your favorite dinosaur with Michelle Hart? Michelle Hart, what is your favorite dinosaur?

SPEAKER_00

My favorite dinosaur is probably a megalodon.

SPEAKER_02

Shut the fuck up! That's so funny.

SPEAKER_00

No, my favorite dinosaur. Oh, I'm gonna give a shitty asshole answer. My favorite dinosaur. He's up. African gray parrot.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, that's that's fine.

SPEAKER_00

Birds are dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So my favorite dinosaur is African gray parrot. I really like birds. I'm good with that answer.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good answer.

SPEAKER_03

You thought you were gonna fucking trigger me?

SPEAKER_00

No, I I I'm gonna trigger someone.

SPEAKER_02

Nadine, calm down.

SPEAKER_00

Um eat shit.

SPEAKER_02

And my mom watches.

SPEAKER_00

Um, you you single? I'm not single. I'm only single for moms.

SPEAKER_03

Is it single for moms?

SPEAKER_00

Hashtag single for moms.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, so you like birds? I love you love all animals.

SPEAKER_00

I love all animals.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, but the African gay parents.

SPEAKER_02

The African parrot? African gay parents.

SPEAKER_03

That's so good! You're so good at improv, dude. What the fuck? Thank you. You had a couple of jabs in there, dude. And you don't comics will do this thing where they celebrate right before a good riff because they know it's coming. Improvers don't do that. They're working. Yeah, it's so, it's so interesting.

SPEAKER_00

Um I'm I'm honestly more a stand-up than an improv, I thought, but apparently not. Apparently I got this, I got the improv in my bones.

SPEAKER_03

It's in your bones, dude. It's um. Yeah, okay, so the African gray parrot, cool. Cool. No, um, he would get eaten by my fucking T-Rex any day, dude.

SPEAKER_00

Probably. Is T-Rex your favorite?

SPEAKER_03

No, it's the Carteronodontosaurus, but it's that's not how you pronounce that.

SPEAKER_00

It's Carcarodontosaurus.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I mean, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Which by the way, Carcarodon Carcarius is a great white shark. Because he basically just said Megalodon Dinosaurus.

SPEAKER_03

No, I'm tell- I've got, uh listen, do you want me to Google it?

SPEAKER_00

He's a Carcarodonosaurus, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that he's not a shark.

SPEAKER_00

No, it's its name is Shark Tooth Dinosaur.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, I'm okay with that. Um he's got spikes, he's bigger than T-Rex. That's like why I like him.

SPEAKER_00

He's like, Is he he's taller than T-Rex, he's not bigger.

SPEAKER_03

He's whatever. I don't know. You know what I mean? In the game, I can't see how.

SPEAKER_00

I like a thick, thick gal, and T-Rex is a thick of the most massive land predator, I think.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's why he's the best. That's like that's like an iconic dinosaur image. You can't really, I think deviating from that.

SPEAKER_00

To me, T-Rex will always be a woman.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, always.

SPEAKER_00

Because of because of Jurassic Park, honestly.

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

That's a lady. The the T-Rex that comes in and saves them from the Lelociraptors, that's that is a woman doing her job.

SPEAKER_03

It's a lady! Oh, that's so cute. Whenever I think of lady dinosaurs, I always think of dragon from Shrek, though. That's kind of where I go. Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

It's a good one. I think parasaurs are lady dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

I think they're all right.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like you could put eyelashes on a parasolifus and it would be like Kanti, and it would follow Monkey.

SPEAKER_03

I think any of the dinosaurs could be Kanti and the other. What's the transist dinosaur there is? That's what I feel like Jason has one. It's like uh it was a dinosaur that we had classified as something and then we reclassified it. But then there's like there's something about the it. But also, I yeah, I think they're all well, all the dinosaurs are trans in Jurassic Park.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um they go, they swap swap seeds.

SPEAKER_03

But I wonder if you can change gender in my video game. Not that. Me when I'm eight years old playing a game. Can I make this dinosaur trans?

SPEAKER_00

Me discovering the gender change potion in Fable 2.

SPEAKER_03

Yo, that's changing my brain chemistry forever. That's so good. That's almost a sketch. All the times that video games let you be like, be trans. Yeah, they let you spot genders.

SPEAKER_00

I believe in Fable 2 you could, if you took it, it would change the first spouse's sex as well.

SPEAKER_02

Whoa!

SPEAKER_00

And then they could discover it.

SPEAKER_02

Whoa.

SPEAKER_00

That you did that to them, and then they would leave you.

SPEAKER_03

They would leave you?

SPEAKER_00

Well, you forcibly trans them. You trans them too.

SPEAKER_03

I th that you guys love each other, it's not a trap.

SPEAKER_00

Unfortunate choice of words. Uh but yeah, I don't know. That is funny to be like, like, you, you, you're, you're a man and you show up to your wife one day and you say, I'm a woman now. And you gotta be a guy.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I think that's yeah. I think that's fine.

SPEAKER_00

That's awesome.

SPEAKER_03

That's legal.

SPEAKER_00

That's not it's not actually legal to force someone to trans their gender. Oh, we're not in Joe Biden's anyway. We're in anywhere. You can't force trans people anymore.

SPEAKER_03

Nobody's trans and anybody to be forced.

SPEAKER_00

Not allowed to ban. Unless you're Jeffrey Epstein.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He did that. Okay. Uh is that the end of the is that the end of the game.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's the last question. I really want to have a more uh climatic question, but that is what what it is a pretty good question.

SPEAKER_00

We did go off the rails for a second there.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Again.

SPEAKER_03

That's why I saved until the end. I feel like I have the first half is goofing off, then we get to the meaning of life, and then the second half we just have to wrap up that we talked about dinosaurs at some point.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it has to acknowledge that dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It must it we must know that dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_03

Nobody's really watching this for the dinosaurs. Maybe this episode, because you busted out a lot of the dinosaurs, and I'm gonna have fun editing pictures of the dinosaurs that you bring up. I only know the ones in the video game, and I don't even have the pack that unlocks all the dinosaurs, so there's a whole world of dinosaurs that I haven't even discovered yet.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That's one of the things. Ark has a lot of dinosaurs, but it it is also a game where it's just prehistoric species. Yeah. So it has like uh a four million-year-old extinct kangaroo. It has like, you know, like a um Cambrian era um and um uh uh Devonian era stuff.

SPEAKER_03

Nice And I like the Devonian era.

SPEAKER_00

I like the Devontae.

SPEAKER_03

What the fuck is the name of the video game and it's like first person Far Cry? Did you ever play Far Cry Primal? That one you're like a pr you're like a little like early Homo sapien and there's like other foxes are bigger than regular fox because they're because of old fox?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I know I never got into that. I never got into that one. Because it was probably on Xbox One or something, and I was like, I'm not gonna buy a Far Cry game for my Xbox One. That's silly. But yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, what the fuck do you have against Far Cry?

SPEAKER_00

I just know I didn't want to.

SPEAKER_03

Guys, thanks for watching the episode.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, we're done. Okay, done.

unknown

We're done!

SPEAKER_00

What do you got against Far Cry? An actual fight broke out.

SPEAKER_03

We beat each other up.

SPEAKER_00

What we should do is we cut it there, and then we we just come back and and you say, uh, sorry I had to I had to do a cut there, I killed Michelle.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yo, that's for not liking Far Cry.

SPEAKER_00

And then and then it just ends.

SPEAKER_03

I'm in. So I'm in. Oh, sorry, I was killing Michelle for not liking Far Cry.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, cut it. And we did it.

SPEAKER_03

We did it!
