A note from Bo and Shannon: This episode goes to some deeply personal places for us including our faith. We're men who follow Christ, and we don't separate that from how we approach performance, pressure, or the game of golf. If you share that faith, we think this episode is going to hit differently. If you don't — we believe these principles stand on their own, backed by the same science we've been sharing across every episode. The research on mental training, visualization, and the power of what you rehearse in your mind works regardless of worldview. You are welcome here exactly as you are.

When life or golf squeezes you...what comes out?

Is it frustration? Doubt? Fear? Or calm confidence and focused determination?

This week Bo and Shannon recorded something different. With Masters Week this week and Easter Sunday fresh in everyone's hearts, they felt led to bring you an episode that goes beyond the mechanics of peak performance and into the deeper question underneath it all, what are you actually made of when it matters most?

Opening with Rory McIlroy's extraordinary Masters win after eleven years of waiting, the double bogey on the first hole, Bryson breathing down his neck, and the unwavering focus that never cracked... Bo and Shannon use one of the most dramatic moments in recent golf history to illustrate a principle that applies to every round you'll ever play.

Pressure doesn't define you. But it does reveal you.

And the good news is — what comes out when you're squeezed is something you can train.

In this episode you'll hear:

— Why you don't rise to the occasion, you fall to the level of your training and what that means for every pressure shot you face

— The E + R = O framework and how the same event can lead to completely different outcomes depending entirely on your response

— Shannon's bike ride story — how he turned a broken brake at mile ten into a faster average speed over the final thirty miles, and exactly how to apply that same mindset to a rough start on the front nine

— The full Sandra Gal story — the LPGA pro on medical exemption who went from "I'm not returning to competition this year" to shooting 3-under and tying for third in her first competitive round back in over a year

— What adversity, setbacks, and the moments that feel like they're burying you actually have in common with a planted seed

Bo and Shannon bring their full selves to this one — faith, performance science, real stories, and the honest truth about what separates the golfers who fold under pressure from the ones who find another gear.

Your separation is in your preparation. And every moment is a training moment.

When life or golf squeezes you, what comes out? Is it frustration? Is it doubt? Is it fear? Or calm confidence and focus? Whether on the golf course or in life, pressure reveals what's inside us. It doesn't necessarily define who we are, but it can reveal what's inside of us. And the good news is you can train your inner response. Let me show you how to do that.

What if your best golf wasn't yours away? What if you were just one round away? Welcome to the One Round Away Podcast, the show for golfers who are tired of inconsistency, tired of overthinking, and tired of knowing that they have more in them, but not knowing how to bring it out when it matters most. Hey there, I'm Bo Watson. Hey, I'm Shannon Shusky. And together we're here to help you play better golf, think better on the course, live with more freedom, and unlock the best version of yourself that you know is in there. Hey guys, and just before we go where we're about to go, I want to say this with full sincerity. You know, Shannon and I were men of faith, and that's inseparable from who we are and how we see the world. You know, the principles that we're about to share come from that place. But here's what we also know from years of working with golfers from every background, the truth about what we're about to say lands regardless of where you stand spiritually. You don't have to share our faith to benefit from these principles. The brain science confirms what the ancient texts have been saying for thousands of years. Just take what resonates, apply what works. You know, we're just grateful that you're here. With that said, let's jump in. Hey, you know what's so great, uh Shannon, is the fact that when you look at Augusta National, we saw someone like Roy McElroy, right? He's got pretty much all the amount of pressure that is building for this moment in his career that he's been trying for 11 years to win another major. And not only that, this is a major that completes his grand slam. So it's like the test. I think it's so amazing because on that first hole, he double bogeys, and immediately him and Bryson are tied 10 under leaving that first hole. Bryson actually makes another birdie, I believe it was on the next hole. And at one point, Bryson's 11 under, Rory's 10 under, and you're like, oh no, we've seen this story before. I think it's so amazing that in that moment, in that pressure that he had, we were able to see throughout the round there were ups and downs, but still, even at the very end, like even when he missed that putt, he still was able to take and stay calm under the pressure. I thought it was so funny. Bryson was in an interview after the round, and he said that Roy never talked to him once during that round. And it just showed the level of focus that he had and the mission that he was set there to do. Boy, did he ever complete it in traumatic fashion.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and what's what's interesting is, you know, I followed Roy and watching him and a lot a lot of interviews, and he is one of the most transparent golfers with what's going on in his brain. And it's it's kind of good to see that he's actually coming back around to getting into what he's actually practicing, what he's preaching, you know, when when it comes to the mental game. And so that's exciting. So we just want to dive into this. You don't know really what's inside a person until they're squeezed. This is in golf and also in life. Golf is the the perfect squeeze test and to see what comes out. I like to explain it kind of like this. If you're taking a real hot shower, somebody comes in and throws ice water on you, what is the first thing that comes out? Is it a cuss word? Is it hustle? Or what was that? Or, you know, what is the first thing that comes out? The same thing when on the golf course, when pressure comes in, what comes out? What's going to be the first thing that comes out? Then it's basically what you've sown in the past and what you prepared for because your separation is in your preparation.

SPEAKER_01

And I love that verse, Galatians 5, 22 through 23. It says, fruit of the spirit isn't theory, it's what shows up when you're under fire. And it's like our little twist to it, which I love. Because what we want to see is are those fruits like coming to the surface, like the fruits level, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Because if your withdrawals and pressure are anger and doubt, then maybe it's time to change what we're depositing inside.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you know, we said this before, you don't rise to the occasion, you thought of the level of your training and what you're putting in is what's going to be coming out, those deposits that you're making. It's just like your brain is like a bank account. If you're depositing anger, if you're depositing doubt, if you're depositing fear, don't be surprised that when your comes out on the golf course or in life, when it comes crunch time, what you're withdrawing, because you can't withdraw something that hasn't already been deposited. It makes sense. So Joshua 1.8, I love this verse as well. Joshua 1.8, it says, This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read it, not just that, but meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything in accordance with it, that all it is written. For when when you do this, you will make your way prosperous. I find that interesting is you hear all this stuff about a prosperity gospel, but if you look here in in Joshua 1.8, it says that if you meditate on God's word day and night with all that it is written in it, then you will make your way prosperous. Why? Because you're meditat you're meditating and you're depositing that. What's interesting is this the word meditate in the Hebrew, because the Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek. It actually the difference between Hebrew, here's a Bible thing. Yes, go there. Do what? Yeah, go there. Yeah, so here's the thing about understanding the Bible. When it's written in Hebrew or Greek, our English language does not do the Hebrew or Greek language justice. What do I mean by that? Is this when we say love, we only have one word for love, right? There's only one word that's there that we say love. Now you can but there's different types of love. Well, in the Bible, in the Hebrew and the Greek, there's actually different words for love, like charity, like a love of action, you know, for example. Now, let's go back to Joshua 1.8. The word meditate. The word will meditate actually means to speak, to roar, to murmur, to talk, to growl. When it says growl, it's actually referring to like something like under your breath, and to utter, to devise, to ponder and think. Now let's look at all those words that it means, and how many of that is actually verbalized, spoken, roar, murmur, talk, growl, utter, devise, and then the last two ponder about it, think about it, meditate on it. That's what the word meditate means. So when we're talking about the word of God, you know, there's a verse that says, Let the word of God dwell in you richly. So that's how you do it. You have to speak it out, mutter it, ponder on it, go back to it.

SPEAKER_01

So powerful because one of the things we talk about in our book, Henderson's own secrets, which by the way, if you have not yet gotten a copy, you can get one. We'll place that link below and we'll show you how to get that book for free. Yeah, if you're especially if you're in the US, and then if not, there's also a link where you can get it through Amazon, and we'll make sure that we'll get that to you. But in the our book, we talk about power talk. The reason why it's called power talk is because the words you speak are powerful. You know, when you look at the verse, I believe it's in Proverbs, but it says death and life are in the power of the tongue. Okay. And my goodness, before we even go on a tangent, James talks about, I believe it's in James 2, and I could be correct if wrong, but it talks about like how your tongue is literally like one of the most devastating things in existence because it can literally set the whole world on fire, so to speak. And why would he give such a strong warning like that? It's because the words we speak are either speaking life or they're speaking death. What's even crazier is that when you look at how everything came into being, it was through commands, it was through words given by our creator, Abba Father, where he spoke the universe into creation. And so therefore, if we've been bought with a price, those of us that are believers and those that have basically accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, then Paul talks about it's no longer us who lives, we've been bought with a price. Christ is living through us. Okay, so wait a second. If Christ is living through us and it's no longer us who lives, those of us that are picking up our crosses daily, which we're gonna talk about in a second, what's fascinating about that is that, okay, if it's no longer me that's living, then who is doing the talking? And if I firmly believe that the words I speak are not my own, then it's Christ speaking through me, then therefore the words take on a whole nother level as far as power. Because then if we go back and look in Isaiah, it says, I will send forth my word, and it will go out and accomplish its purpose and not return to me void. Here's the fascinating thing about that. God Himself said, I will send forth my word. Later we read in John, the word became flesh and dwelt among us. Who was that? That was Jesus Christ Himself. He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. And what's so fascinating, we also look at that verse, and I know I'm going on a totally different tangent here, but come on, Holy Spirit. We love when the disciples said, Lord, teach us to pray, and he said, Okay, and Jesus said, Give us this day our daily bread. Now, wait a second. People look at that and we think that it's actually like food. Now there's a piece that we can believe, but when you really look at that and that true meaning, Jesus also referred to him, I am the bread of heaven. Wait a second. So therefore, not only is the word a breathing, living thing, because it's Jesus Himself, but here's what's so fascinating. Jesus was sent forth to this earth in very humble form, came in as a baby, lived a perfect life, lived a sinless life at that, died a death, and then rose from the grave three days later. And wait, what does it say? He said, I returned and I sit at the right hand of the Father. So you mean you tell me in the book of Isaiah, God said, I'm going to send forth my word and it will not return to me void, which literally it did actually happen because Jesus said, I am the bread of heaven, but not only that, it also John talked about the word became flesh, and then he goes and sits at the right hand of the Father. So the fascinating thing about all this is that this right here, if we truly believe that we have been bought with a price and it's no longer us who lives, then the words we speak are not our own, and therefore the words that we speak hold power, and they will go forth and accomplish its purpose and not return to the Father void. We have to really take to heart what words are we speaking? Are we speaking words of life? Are we speaking words of healing? Are we commanding whatever things that need to come into alignment with God's word? Or are we speaking curses and are we speaking things that are going to lead to death? And so therefore the words we speak we have to be very mindful of because they can carry two totally different consequences.

SPEAKER_00

I love what Bog brought up because it reminds me. You know, where was Jesus born? He was born in Bethlehem. What does Bethlehem mean? House of bread. Right? And that isn't that why? Well, then what was Jesus, who was the word made flesh? What was he born in? He was born in a manger, which is what? A feeding trough. Somebody's gonna get this. Somebody this is gonna ring a bell for somebody. But Jesus said, My food is to do the will of the Father. Remember the woman at the well that came there, and they were all hungry, and the disciples came to him. He said, My food is to do the will of the Father. So give us this day our daily bread. We need to feed off of Jesus, but doing the will of the Father is the food, and walking in obedience. So there's a there's a doing part. Here's the thing: sometimes we feel like when we're playing in a round of golf, and then let's say we start off and we get a bogey and another bogey, and then we feel like we're getting buried, right? Well, what if it feels like we're getting buried, but what if it's an actual planting? You're being planted, not buried. That's that elite mindset that we're talking about as far as letting your identity come out, and it feels like we're buried. And it reminds me of when with one of our clients we were working with was Sonder Gal, she entered her wrist, and she felt like she was being buried because she was on exemption for a whole year of medical exemption with the LPGA because of with her with her wrist. She didn't feel ready to return to competitive golf. And even she had five exemptions in the LPGA and could only practice about 15 to 20 percent of what she normally does. I want to remind everyone that you know, 1 Peter 5, 6 through 10 says this after you have suffered for a little while, he will restore and confirm and strengthen you and establish you. You're not done. You're you're actually growing roots, and that's what was going on. We would not have been able to make a huge impact on her life because of where she was, she felt buried. But really, what was going on was because of that, she ran across Bo and I. We reached out to her and then we started working with her. And then what happened was she actually realized how to grow and bear fruit. And Bo, what was that? What was the fruit that happened?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so what's amazing is after we teach screening to her and showed her that process of how to develop a custom trigger and more importantly, get into flow state more often. What's so cool is literally within two to three weeks after sharing this with her and her telling us that she was not even close to returning back to competitive golf for that year and wasn't even gonna take advantage of the five exemptions given to her by the LPGA tour. To two to three weeks later, I get an email from her and she said, I've made a hole in one, I'm hitting the ball really well, and I'm making more putts than I ever have, and I'm so excited. I just signed up for the Scottish and the British Open, which is gonna take place in about two weeks. And we're like, Whoa. So, like, how do you go from I'm not even a return to competitive golf this year to a complete 180 switch literally a couple weeks later, because why why did she feel that way? It's because we showed her how to do mental reps with our system that will supplement the physical reps that she was lacking. And as a result, she goes in the first round of the Scottish Open and shoots, I believe it was three under, and was tied for third place at the top of the leaderboard back from two shots, and this is her first competitive round and over a year off from like competition. And for her to do that and go on to make the cut and then make the cut in the open championship, like that's unheard of. Because typically you look at a tour player, their practice weekly schedule or even a daily, you're talking about them going out there and spending seven, eight hours, and here she is maybe able to do 30 minutes an hour. Like, she is like severely handicapped when it comes to what she's up against and what everybody else is doing at her level. Most people would hardly ever feel ready to come back, and yet she defied all odds and was able to make the cut both events. That's what's so cool is that anytime we have a setback, anytime we have things where it feels like we are being buried, like it can be a process where just like in 1 Peter 5, 6 through 10, like Shannon said, after you suffer a little while, he'll restore and confirm, strengthen, establish you. And so therefore, we see the fruit that comes after. And I love that about just like when it comes to sowing seed and stuff. I love that about farming. You're planting seed and you really don't know what's going to happen because like life is going to come at you in so many different ways. But it's true outside the game of golf. There are going to be times where we go through adversity, when we have setbacks, and when it looks like everything's ending, but yet at the same time, we find out later that God was using all that to build us, to strengthen us, to refine us, to become the person that we're designed and purposed to be so that we can make an impact to serve those that we love around us, make an impact in this world, not only just in life, but also it can be in the game of golf. And so for her, it was such a cool story and a rebound, so to speak, and a comeback that I think is just one of the coolest stories we've ever seen, just in what we've done.

SPEAKER_00

You know, Isaiah 55, 8 and 9, we've heard so many people quote this verse. Sometimes it's out of context, sometimes it's in context, but there's a lot of truth in it, and it emphasizes that God's thoughts are not our ways and are vastly different and higher than the human thoughts. What's interesting is in 1 Corinthians chapter 2, verse 16, it says, For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct them. But then here's the key, that very last part of that verse, it says, But we have the mind of Christ. This verse contrasts the idea and the meaning that I have the understanding, the guidance of Christ through the Holy Spirit. So that biblical connection of, you know, let's say 1 Peter 5, 6, it says, After you suffered for a little while, God will restore, confirm, and strengthen you. One of the words that Bo and I like to use, like what we were talking about with Power Talk, is adversity is our advantage. Adversity is our advantage. Write that down, say it over and over. So then when adversity strikes, your mental alarm clock's going off and say, nope, that's my advantage. That is when I perform at my best. And so when you're being planted, okay, seeds are dead. But they have to be planted in order for them to create life. So sometimes it's that adversity that actually is going to create that life that's inside of you. And not just that, the perform your best when it matters the most. You're not stuck, you're being prepared for fruit.

SPEAKER_01

It leads naturally into this process where we feel like we're being crushed, like we're going through pressure. And the amazing thing about that is no wine comes without crushing, no diming without pressure, and no glory without grit. So, like when you look at all the amazing comeback stories, and just recently with Rory McElroy wonning the masters, he had an amazing press conference or just really speech at the end. And I love what he said to his daughter. He called her out and said, Papi, no matter what, like never give up. And I believe that is the case is like when we're going through that wilderness season, when it seems like there's no end or there's no light at the end of the tunnel, never give up. I love what one of my pastors would say. He's like, just keep breathing. That's it. Like we're given this like amazing gift of life. Really, the next step, the only thing that we got to keep doing is just keep breathing. Just keep breathing. Because ultimately, God will restore, he will renew, he will do a lot of those things that we're ultimately looking and seeking when it seems like there's no hope. I think the beautiful thing about that is that there's always hope. There's always hope. Sometimes we have to go through those tough times in order for the caterpillar to be morphed into that butterfly that we are ultimately seeking. And that's why, like Matthew 9.17, new wine, it requires new wineskins. The reality is it's just that through the season, through that tough time, God is simply just upgrading you. And the pressure is part of the process. Whenever we go through that season of tough trial, whatever it is, we have to have the right mindset. That's why it's so important that everything that Shannon talked about earlier with Joshua 1.8, where we're meditating and we're thinking on God's word and we're speaking it. That's the key. We have to go through that season of actively fighting. So when we look at it from the spiritual standpoint, you look at the Israelites, they go through this 40-year wilderness season, which by the way was never intended to last that long. Really, it was supposed to be short term. But just to fast forward through this process, once they crossed over the Jordan and they crossed into the promised land, everybody's like thinking and reading, like, oh, this is just gonna be all happy. The people are gonna just completely lay everything at our feet. And that was not even close to the truth. They had to actively go into the promised land, they had to fight, and they had to actively fight in order for them to claim their promised land. And so when we look at that and we look at that in today's standpoint, that simply means that we're always fighting giants, but the way we fight our giants is through the words we speak, and therefore, when that pressure comes, when that adversity hits, what's our first response? Are we going to react in the ways where the fruits of the spirit are going to come to the surface? Are we going to react in our flesh and speak curses, go that route? Because we have a choice. We can choose what the twelve spies that went into the land, look at all the giants, look at everything in our own human intellect, so to speak. Then 10 of the 12 come back and say, like, it's hopeless, there's no way we're gonna win this. And therefore, that's what led to the Israelites returning back into the wilderness until that generation. Therefore, we have a choice to make are we going to fold under pressure, or are we going to, when we get squeezed, we're gonna have the mind of Christ and we're gonna be able to respond to any situation that comes our way?

SPEAKER_00

So you'll never outperform your habits. You'll always fall to your system. What is your system? Let me I'm I'm gonna give you an example. It has nothing to do with golf, but it's gonna it'll really actually help to bring all this together, not with golf, but in life and everything like that. For example, I was going on a bike ride. I was doing 40 miles with a friend of mine. I got 10 miles in, I noticed that I was working extremely hard for those 10 miles compared to the speed that I was going. On a bike, I have a computer that actually has a power monitor on it that I and I can see I was putting out a lot more power versus the speed that was going. It wasn't adding up, and it wasn't, I was having to work a lot harder. Once I got 10 miles in, we made a store stop real quick, and I've looked at the average miles per hour that I was going, it was about 19.5 miles an hour. For me, that's not that fast. Okay. 19.5 miles an hour on the bike, me by myself, is not that fast. I can actually go a lot faster. So I figured out what was going on. My front brake was rubbing the entire time. I had a decision to make at that point. What was the decision that I had to make? Am I just gonna be like, oh man, this is gonna be terrible? It's gonna make the rest of my ride hard. I'm gonna have a slow ride and I'm dreading going into this. Now, look at that in golf. What happens if you start off with a bogey or two bogies, the first two holes? Is that what you're gonna start thinking? Is your mindset gonna go to, oh man, I'm gonna lip my way through the 18 holes? What is your mindset gonna be? Well, I'm gonna tell you what my mindset was, and you can apply this to golf. My mindset was because of that I mentioned before about adversity being my advantage. That was the first thing that came up. It became a mental alarm clock when this situation presented itself because of how hard it was. My mental alarm clock was going up. No, and adversity is my advantage. The harder it gets, the harder I get. The longer I go, the stronger I get. And then I started laughing. Laughter could be a huge recent, and I was doing that. So what happened for the next 30 miles? My average speed got a lot faster. Matter of fact, remember, I said 19 and a half miles an hour was my average speed going in the first 10. Well, then the last 30 miles at the very end of the bike ride, the whole 40 miles, the end of my bike ride, it said that I averaged 20.9 miles an hour. Okay, wait a minute. Let's let's check out that math. If I averaged 19 and a half for the first, that means I was averaging over 22 miles an hour to get that up right for the rest of the time. Again, adversity is my advantage. That's why it's important that you do those mental deposits going into your brain account so that you can make those withdrawals.

SPEAKER_01

When you look at someone like Tom Watson, who has historically been one of the best golfers to play in the open championships, he's won several of them. One of the funny things that he has been famous for saying is that anytime there was a really bad weather round or it's gonna be nasty conditions, he would literally say, This is good because it eliminates half the field. So that's his mindset. So he's taking something that's negative, and it's definitely built in adversity. Everybody's looking at it as something that's super negative, they're dreading the round, but yet he's going in with a different approach. Everybody has to play in the same conditions, and it's all about the way you view it and your perspective on it. The way that you build that perspective and the way that you can shape it is you have to make continual deposits into your brain account and doing it with power talk phrases like Shannon just said, Hey, adversity is my advantage. Oh no, I had a terrible bounce on that shot right there. Great, adversity is my advantage. Or this is a really tough append location, there's water on both sides. Hey, the tougher the shot, the better I am. It's phrases like that that we can simply have ready to deploy at any moment's notice if we have taken time away from the course to make those deposits regularly. If we're not making those deposits, then we're not going to be able to respond in those situations. Just like in sp in spiritual matters, when life throws us curveballs, we haven't been spending time in the word. More importantly, we haven't been spending time with the Father in that intimacy. That's why I love the story with like John, his beloved disciple. There was a period where John is just literally laying there on Jesus' chest. Like it's just an amazing example that it's more than just a religion, it's a relationship. And that's the most important thing about it. And when you look at John 14, 15, I love this because a lot of times people will see it through these two filters. A lot of times people that are in a religious mindset, they read that verse. If you love me, then you will obey me. And they read it through that tone. But instead, if you really look at it as we have a loving father that truly loves us and they want he wants the best for us, we read it through the tone of, if you love me, then you'll obey me. And it's very simple because it's in the act of understanding his love for us that we're so like enthralled by, we're so like captured by this incredible agonizing death that he went through on our behalf, because literally he took our place to restore us back into the right relationship like it was in the beginning in the garden. When we understand to the level and degree of what he went through on our behalf, we're so amazed by that love that we're out of just love for him that we're happy to go out and be obedient to the things that he's asking us to do. The key thing that we have to understand when we really go through all this is that when you look at it through the golf perspective, when the pressure gets high, when the moment is frustrating, whenever we go through things that it's just feeling like it's squeezing us, the amazing thing that we need to keep at the forefront of our mind is what is our response? Because our response is what's going to ultimately lead to whatever outcome that we're going to see, which is why we talk about this in the book, E plus Articles O concept. It's an event plus your response equals outcome mentality. And so therefore, when an event happens, when you put this through the lens in this perspective, you can literally take anything that you do throughout around and put it through this filter of, okay, if I hit my amazing drive and it hits a sprinkler head and then it bounces into the water, that's an event. Now, what response am I going to choose in this moment? Is it going to be a positive response or is it going to be a negative response? Because whichever I choose in this moment is going to directly ultimately lead to the outcome mentality, which amazingly enough, a lot of times can lead to what the actual true outcome is in a situation. So for example, if I go and I get that shot and it goes in the water, and I choose a negative response and I'm braiding myself and I'm saying all the negative stuff, cussing, maybe even probably throwing my club, then ultimately I haven't released that shot. All that mental brick, so to speak, is now being carried into the next shot. And then isn't it fascinating that then we create the domino effect and then we hit another bad shot? And then we followed with another bad shot. And then we're walking off that hole with a triple bogey. And then we finally come to our senses and we go, Oh my goodness, if I could have just kept my cool, I could have maybe have gotten out of that hole with a boget worse. And that's why your response to these events mean everything, which really, when we take it one step deeper, we need to look at it also through the spiritual aspect. Where are we spending our time? What are we feeding ourselves? What are we feeding? What are we feeding ourselves? Because what are we feeding ourselves? Whatever is inside of us is going to come out when we're squeezed.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. Bo, I love that. Remember this quote, guys. You'll never regret training your mind, but you will only regret what happens when you don't train your mind. That's why it's so important to do it. Now let's talk about being a Christian doing the same thing by training your mind. We talk about meditating on God's word day and night. So, for example, there's a verse that says, No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Well, it's promising that no weapons formed. Well, guess what? There's going to be weapons that are formed. Well, then our power talk statements when it comes to being a Christian is this If God be for me, who can be against me? Right? Greater is he that's in me, that's in this world. God has not given me a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and of love and of a sound and well-balanced mind, quoting his promises like that. So then when life happens, because guess what? It's gonna happen. We can't stop it. And then weapons formed, for example, you might have anxiety. Well, that's a weapon that's being formed. Well, then how do you fight that? Don't let it prosper by staying in the word and by understanding who you are in Christ because you are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. So this is why it's so important that we do that. With that being said, we can do a deeper dive in our book. You can visit our website in the zone secrets as well to get our book. But I just wanted to really establish you never regret training your mind, but you'll always regret when you don't.

And so with that said, guys, we just want to pray for you really quick right now, those of you are watching this right now. So, Father, we just thank you that whatever seeds that we have just planted, Holy Spirit, we just invite you to come into the room right now, fill them with your presence, make it so overwhelming. Whatever that thing that you're pinpointing and highlighting right now, Father, I know this is for a few people that are listening to this. Father, right now, just pinpoint it, whatever that is that's coming to the front of their mind right now in the name of Jesus, I I ask that you will give them the peace and the supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding, that they will be willing to surrender that to you. And God, we just thank you right now for those transformations that are going to happen in the days to come for them, because they said yes to you and that they are willing to go deeper into your word, but more importantly, deeper and leaning into your heart. God, we just thank you for that in Jesus' name.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so God, in in closing, like the final charge, let's just kind of open up, you know, peel back the veil and see what's going on. What are you depositing in your mind and in your life? What is it that you're depositing? Because every moment is a training moment. So what are you training for? Are you training for panic or are you training for peace? You're always preparing for pressure. You don't know when it's gonna hit. That's the issue. You don't know when it's gonna hit, but you're training for pressure. So are you spending time with the Lord? Are you preparing mentally, like going to the mental gym before you actually go to the course? Are you doing that? First Peter 5 9 says, resist the enemy and he will flee from you. Here's the thing you can't stop the squeeze sometimes, because inevitably it's gonna happen. You know, just like we were talking about weapons formed, you know, you can't stop the weapons from being formed, but you can stop them from prospering. It comes from your training, is what's gonna come out. What what thoughts are you rehearsing in your head? What are you playing over and over that habit loop that's in your head of who you are as a person, even as a golfer? Are you constantly saying, well, I'll never do this, I'll never do that? You know, put the word yet in there, white e t yet. What does that mean? Your energy will transform you. What is your what is your identity grounded in? Is it what what's your scorecard? Well, what's your source? What is it that you're you're scoring? Then when you get squeezed next time, what's gonna come out? I just want to remind you of that. Don't let the suffering have final word. Let God establish you and you sit before him daily because the word says that we die daily. We have to die daily with him. And sometimes on the course we gotta die to ourselves, right? We can't do the the helicopter swing of our our golf club because what are we doing? Again, we're sewing that in our brain account. So next time it won't have that much of an impact on our golf game and in life. So make sure you subscribe and share and tell someone who needs this reminder. Share it with them, share it on your Facebook page, share it with someone that may need to hear this, because we're here to serve you as well. Hey, speaking of servant, hey Bo, you want to give them a way that they can get our book?
