In this episode, I talk about surviving back-to-back 12-hour shifts (plus an 8-hour one the next night), finally deciding on a new NP program, and shaking and feeling numb when I get home?! Listen for more...
Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of I forgot my own podcast of Soft Chaos with Noah. I am your host, Noah, and we're gonna have fun today. Um, just like we do on every podcast episode, but today's podcast episode is you know, just catch it up. Um with my episodes, I really don't like well actually with like my whole podcast, I guess, it's really chaotic, hence soft chaos from Noah, but it's not like too too chaotic, if you know what I mean. Um, so I just kind of like it's like a personal diary, but at the same time, it's like just talking about stuff that I really enjoy talking about. Um, so in this episode today, I will talk about how I'm really, really tired, and I think that's a common thing for a lot of us, um, tired mentally and physically, how I survived my three back-to-back shifts today or this week, and I have an eight-hour shift tonight, so I should be leaving in about an hour and fifteen or so, and then um committing to a new NP school or program and my new apartment updates. So let's get started. I don't want to be this too long, but yeah, I also have to leave and get ready and do some stuff because I slept from 10 a.m. to about 7 p.m. Pretty pretty good. I woke up at 1 p.m. though, which is like common. I wake up in the middle of my naps or sleeps after work, and I'm just like, should I eat lunch? Should I not? Should I use the bathroom? Probably, and then I fall back to sleep. Um, usually I like I told my coworker this. She was like, you wake up, like you come home from work and then you wake up, like you sleep and then you wake up at like lunch, like purposely, like that's interrupting your sleep. And I'm like, yeah, I know, but like, you know, I also like to have lunch and just kind of relax, watch YouTube, watch Netflix, whatever it is, while having lunch, and then I go back to sleep. Um, so yeah, quite a long drive if you guys don't know. I travel about an hour and thirty to work and back to my new place. I'm gonna stop saying my old site because this is now my my official work site because the old site, I only have two shifts left, and I I'm like, you know, let's get this over with. Um that site has traumatized me and just an overall uh good and bad experience. Like I met some really cool people and we laughed a ton, and I've like gotten to know myself, I was able to be myself around these co-workers, and you know, just also like build a lot of confidence. Um, but it wasn't for me because people were mean, my nurse manager was a bully. Um, the like clinical director of the whole facility was targeting me um for some reason. I really don't know. Um, and I felt my nursing lessons was at risk. So we're gonna say bye-bye to that site after these two shifts, and I'm never going back there. Um, so now my official work site, yes, the official worksite where I travel an hour and thirty. Not for long though, not for long. We're gonna push it, we're gonna push through and do another month of this back and forth because I'm so tired. But I did figure out a sleeping situation. So I'm gonna jump right into it, as I said before. Um, so today when I got home from my shift, I left at like 7:40, almost eight o'clock. My relief didn't come till like 7.30, 7.40, and I don't blame her because she was behind a bunch of construction trucks, and they were moving like so slow, like very slow, like one mile per hour slow. And I don't blame her. Um, it's weird though, because it's like on a Saturday, and I guess yeah, that's like the time to do it because it's a Saturday. Um, and like not a lot of people are going to work like the nine of fives, um, and like a lot of businesses really aren't open. So uh yeah, it was just yeah. So I got home late. Um, I of course stopped by Duncan. That's my usual routine after work. Since my commute is so long, I do have to grab some sort of espresso, some sort of coffee, and some food. Um, just like on the way. Or usually, I mean, I don't want to grab food like on my drive back because I don't know, I just like I don't know. I like to eat in the car and drive and stuff. By the way, I have a couple things going on in the back. I had to take out my fan, my desk fan, because it was too noisy. But I have my vinyl record um player going on with some jazz music. I have my ice machine going on, and yeah, that's about it. But uh hope it's not too noisy and hope you guys can't really hear that. So um, but yeah, so I have to grab a coffee. I don't like eating on the car necessarily unless it's like I don't know, just like quick bites like chips, crackers, little fruit here and there. Um, but like sometimes I do have to eat a full on sandwich. So this morning I had an everything bagel with cream cheese. No, everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. And that was difficult to eat because also when I drive I don't like like I don't I literally don't take bites when cars are passing directly next to me. Um even though you know all they have to do is like change a lane and stuff. Like I don't like people watching me eat in the car. Um of course eating in public like I've grown to be comfortable with, like at the mall and stuff, at the food court, restaurants, like I'm comfortable with that now. But yeah, car rides, I just I don't like to eat when people are passing by me. If I'm on a single lane though, like a one road, one lane road, or if I'm on the highway and there's like no cars around me, I will definitely munch on that sandwich. But um, I did finish my sandwich throughout the drive, so I didn't have to worry about eating breakfast when I got home. Um, because you know, the hour 30, it's just so exhausting. Which brings me to my next point that I wanted to talk about. Um, I had a little computer stuff to do for my family um when I got home, and then I also had like kind of like to touch up some stuff around the house, but I really didn't the bare minimum. I just threw my clothes on the floor. My room is a hot mess, by the way, because um, well, thank god like some of my laundry is at my family's apartment, and um that like kind of clears things up and like I'm able to really like pack and stuff, but um, there's still a bunch of clothes on the floor. I hope to never bring that habit into my new apartment, by the way. Um, but yeah, my apartment is a huge mess. Um I'm packing and stuff. By the way, if you notice a difference in my voice, I am like it's allergy season, I am allergic to pollen. Um, like most people, honestly, and also the kids at my work, they have really bad allergies right now. So they're on Zertec, they're on Flonaise, I'm on Zertec, I'm on Flonase. Um, but honestly, I think this is my first time taking Zertec. Um and I took it last night and it worked. So I probably should have taken one now. You can hear the snivels. I'm so sorry, that's so TMI, but um, excuse me. Oh we good? We good, anyways. So back to my little drive. So it's exhausting, right? Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry, fam. We good?
SPEAKER_00We're good.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, I came home around like 10 a.m. My relief didn't come till like later. Oh, and then by the way, um, yes, my apartment is a mess, as I said. Um, yeah, I got home around 10 because I had to stop for a coffee at Duncan and I have to stop for food. Um, usually I would order food before my shift ends and like eat it before my shift. Like I go home before I get on the road, but I guess I was just feeling Duncan, so um, I always feel Duncan because um I always need a coffee on the way. So I got a cold brew with French vanilla swirl and almond milk. Honestly, they could have put in a little bit more vanilla. Usually that Dunkin' really hits, but today was just not their day. Um and it's okay. Um, I whatchamacallit. Sorry, my mom is texting me and distracting me. I probably should have put my do not disturb on. Yeah. Well, here we go. Soft chaos vanilla. Um where was I? Oh my gosh. Oh yeah, so that's my usual Duncan order, but I really grab a lot of variety of drinks. Like I would get like the brown sugar shaken espresso, I would get a refresher, I would get a mocha latte, French vanilla latte. Like, literally Duncan has it all at Starbucks. Starbucks could never Starbucks could never. I literally only get the brown sugar shaken espresso or yeah, or the refresher. I don't like Fabuccinos, they're too sweet. Um, or sometimes I get the mocha latte. I think those are the only three drinks I really get at Starbucks. So they don't really have a lot of variety. Even when I get my grandma coffee, I literally, I said literally all the time. Um even when I get my grandma coffee, I only get from Duncan because Starbucks does not know how to make the coffee that my grandma likes. Um, it's just like her usual medium hot coffee, decaf with cream and sugar, and that's it. That is it. Um, so yeah. So I had that drive, got home, washed my face, the face, and brushed my teeth, cleaned up a little bit, body shower, all that good stuff. Um, I didn't put any dishes away, even though they were clean. I didn't do anything much. I took my meds, I took, I drank water, I changed into my PJs, and got right to bed. Um, I did not do any packing whatsoever. Yeah, I was just really, really tired. And then when I got on the computer, because I had to do my family's like stuff on the computer, I could feel my hands just like so numb and like tingly. And when I was typing, I was like shaking. I was like, oh my gosh, am I about to have like a seizure right now or something, or like pass out. Um but yeah, I think I was just I've really overexhausted myself and I was super tired, and also just the um like in my head just knowing that I have to go back to work tonight also like put a toll on me. Um, so yeah. And I'm still tired, but I think I got enough sleep. I hope. Um, I yeah, I kind of have like a lot of energy right now, in a way. Will I still stop by Duncan to get a drink or Starbucks? Actually, no, Starbucks is closed. Will I still stop by Dunkin' to get a drink after this? Probably. There's a 24-hour one near me, which I am gonna miss a lot. Excuse me. But um, yeah, that is a great Duncan. They make my orders really well. Unless I go somewhere else, I wouldn't I don't know where to go. That's really the only Duncan, like they see me too often though, and I'm like embarrassed, but what are you gonna do? What are you gonna do? Um, or I could go to Wendy's. No, yeah. I mean it's Saturday night, surprisingly, too. It's like 50 degrees, so that's a big jump from like 80, 87. I think it was 91 at some point this week, and then it just went down, and it's raining tomorrow. So, but that's gonna be a cozy, productive day and night. So, yeah, I think I'll just, you know, just get through it and go to that Dunkin' and get my drink and not be embarrassed. So, um, but yeah, overall, I was scared a little bit that I felt my hands being very numb and tingly and then just like shaking and just like kind of dizzy, honestly, and lightheaded. I'm like, what is going on? What is going on? Um, so I finally went into bed, I got some sleep, and now we're here. We are here. It is 8 45 p.m. and I have to get ready for work, but I don't leave until like 9 30-ish. Um, because my shift starts at 11. You see guys, like how far I have to drive. It's just like insane. So I guess we're gonna talk about the new apartment situation. So I'm done with the talking about the shaking and the tiredness, but overall I'm gonna start taking care of myself a little bit more. Like I'm not gonna go all in and you know, like sign up for personal training classes or like lit get a sleep study or whatever. Um, just little by little. Like kind of like actually this brings me to a lot of a lot of points. Um, which I'll talk about later. But overall, I need to do I need to do something for the next month because a month is a long time and I'm doing this every week and I'm so tired. Um like all my texts are built up. I never usually have that many texts like unread. Um, so that's that's yeah, that's uh that's where we're gonna be. Honestly, though, it is perfect timing that I'm moving um closer to work in a way, um, so that I can like be a little bit more energetic and stuff and like not have to be so tired all the time. And yeah. So, new apartment-wise, I did find an apartment. I did not sign the lease yet though. Um, I found an apartment that is about 45 minutes away from work and then 33 minutes away from my family's apartment, which is like it's a good distance. Um, like it's a good um middle ground. And I did not want to pick that apartment that was way too close to my work, like 11 minutes away, versus being like an hour and 30 minutes from my family's apartment. I don't want to be too far from my family because also they have um our family dog, and I I love my dog. I am in love with that boy. Um, so I don't want to be too far from them. And then also my grandparents. I don't want to be too far from them either. Um, so and I think also on their end they would be more comfortable if I was closer to them. So I think we're good. We're good with that. So I have yet to sign the lease. I just have a couple more questions that I have to ask the leasing office, which I will do on Monday. So hopefully, you know, when 9 a.m. rolls around. I did schedule a tour for like 10.45 though, which is kind of late for me. Like I have to drive all the way back. Actually, no, I don't have to drive all the way back there. But I have to drive to the apartment and do the thing. I'll probably be tired, but it is what it is. I'll just grab coffee and we're gonna go. We're gonna go. We're gonna be good. As long as I have a coffee in my hands, an iced coffee in my hands. Unless it's winter, I would have a pumpkin spice latte in my hands. Hot. Actually, grab on no ice pumpkin spice lattes, guys, are amazing. Um, so yeah, I did find a new apartment. I have yet to sign the lease because I have questions, and then I will officially sign it. I do have questions about the payment though, because your girl is not ready yet. I know that's so bad. That is so bad. Because my apartment got approved conditionally, so um, yeah, that's all I'm gonna say for that. But um, I'm really happy that it got approved. I just I just gotta figure some things out, guys. Um, and then I also have the last rent payment for this current apartment. It is so freaking expensive. I have I have literally, guys, like scrambled and tried to figure out finances and everything, literally just to pay for rent here. It is insane. Um, I talked about this in my last episode. Like my coworker, she was like, that is half my paycheck that you pay for rent. And I was like, Yeah, I know. That's half your paycheck. Girl, that is my whole paycheck. So that says something. That is a red flag. So this apartment is a lot cheaper than my current rent, which I that gives me some peace of mind to know that oh, I won't be living paycheck to paycheck as much. Um, and then also there's like around that area, there's a hospital or like a big healthcare company that I could um potentially get like a per diem job at. Um, but yeah, so I'm excited to move. I'm excited to be closer to work and not dread these drives anymore. Um, because which brings me actually to my next topic. How I survived three back-to-back shifts this week, and then I have one eight-hour shift tonight, which I am so tired. But I do love my drive though. I I gotta say, I like I like my drive when it's empty on the road, kind of empty, like not traffic, and then I have my coffee, uh, and I just like listen to music, I listen to a podcast, like it's fun. Um, but like if I'm super tired, I I dread it so much. Honestly though, I am dreading tonight's drive. Um, it's always a journey for me. But how I survived three back-to-back shifts, I worked Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and then I work Saturday, which is today, and I work tonight. So, um, do I always do back-to-back shifts? Yes, I do. Um, sometimes I have a break in between, but you will never really catch me not doing back-to-back three back-to-back shifts because I just like getting it all over with. Um, especially with this job being so far out, I think it makes more sense to do back-to-back shifts. So I'm like very grateful for my manager allowing me to like have that schedule. Um, and like, you know, pick up random days, but like it's this is my set schedule. Like, it's really Wednesday to Friday, it's back to back. Um, so I can stay in that area for a while. And yeah, um, I did have a little bit of trouble figuring out, like, honestly, where to sleep and like if I should go home or not. So Wednesday, so I came here into my work on into my shift on Wednesday night. I drove from my family's apartment actually because I slept over there for a little bit, and then I went to work, and then I went back home. Um, yeah, did not get enough sleep. So that's Wednesday day. Then I worked Thursday night. Um, so I drove from my apartment to Thursday night shift, and then Thursday or Friday morning, which was yesterday, I actually stayed in uh excuse me. I stayed in a hotel where it has like and I did not know this existed, but there are these um excuse me, oh my gosh, come on we good? We good. Um yeah, I did not know that they had like bookings where you can do just like a nine to five booking. It's called dayuse.com and it's really for like I it's really for anybody, but like it's not like an overnight stay. So you're paying cheaper prices and you have that like easy smooth check-in, I hope. I found a really good place near the apartment actually that I'm going to be living at. So it was kind of like a good test drive for my ooh, from my work to um my new apartment area. So I was like, okay, okay, we're that's a good, like, what a coinkedink. And um, so yeah, I use dayuse.com and I booked my check in uh Um at like 9 to 10 a.m. and then I my checkout was like 5 p.m. And I was like, oh my gosh, this is a really good like thing that they have, like thing to exist. So I'm definitely like that's that's what I used yesterday morning. Um I did sleep okay. I was still tired and stuff, but like um, because guys, I did not prepare for that stay. Um, I just kind of like thought, oh yeah, I'm gonna sleep in my work clothes, but no, I just knew nah, we are not doing that. You know, you need to be cozy, you need to be comfortable sleeping and get some good rest. So I stopped by Target and I spent like a hundred bucks, 115 bucks at Target to buy work clothes for the next day because I did not want anyone seeing me in my old work clothes that I just wore and be like, ew, she's disgusting. Um, so I bought literally I just bought the cheapest and most simple thing that I could find because it's it's literally just a day. Like if I packed if I had an emergency bag in my car for at least like one night stay, I would be good. I I didn't have to go to Target, but girl, I went to Target. I needed pads though because I'm on my period. Um but yeah, I went to Target. I bought some yoga pants, I bought a shirt, and I was gonna wear my jean jacket over it anyway, so I I'm grateful I had that. Um the pants were like too big on me, they kept sliding down and they were too loose. And also the shirt was a crop top, so I'm like, whatever, but it was eight dollars, so I'll take it. Um, I just had to keep pulling my shirt down. But then also I bought a PJ set which was on sale. I don't even think it was a PJ set though, it was like a little cami deal, and like I think it was like under briefs, so that really wasn't a PJ set, but I will take it over anything else because it was seven dollars each each uh clothing. So that's that. And then I bought underwear, yes, and then I bought pads, I bought I had to buy toothbrush, toothpaste, all that stuff, face wash, um, shampoo conditioner. What else did I buy? Oh my gosh, I bought snacks, I bought um cheese it like Chex Mix kind of deal, and then famous Amos cookies, and I bought poppy, I bought an Ollypop, and did I buy anything else? Not really. Yeah, that was it, guys. And that came up to $100. Oh, I also bought two frozen meals, which I ended up using one at work, and that was spectacular. Great money saver, and then I have one still in the freezer at work, so that I can use. Um But yeah, guys, I it was just uh I mean that was a great great use of the hotel. The hotel was so nice, like it was big, there was an ice machine on the floor, and then when I came down um around like 5 p.m., they were setting up like I smelled some like chicken fingers and fries um in the hallway, and I was like, what are you guys preparing for? Like, it was on the same floor, yeah. I didn't have to go through any elevator or anything, it was oh so great. Um, but I was smelling all this food, and then I was like walking out and I saw all these trays set up, and it turned out there was a junior prom happening. I was like, throwback, throwback. I guess I will do an episode talking about my high school days, but like I I'm kind of scared because it's gonna bring back all these feelings, and I'm like, am I do I really want to like divulge into that and relive through all of that? I don't know, guys. I don't know. Um, but high school was such a wild experience, crazy experience, really like a lot of growth went into that experience. Um, a lot of history and stories that I could talk about forever. But high school really changed my life, I guess. Like it really not changed it, but it made a it made a decent dent into my life. Dece it took up a decent chunk. So um maybe I will talk about that one day, maybe I won't. But yeah, so I anyways, I stayed at the hotel from 9 to 5, slept, um, we were cozy. I actually didn't really eat. I think I grabbed just a sandwich from Duncan and a drink from Duncan on the way, or was it Starbucks? I think Starbucks. And I just ate that on the way to the um hotel, and then I left, checked out, went back to my work site for the next shift. And now here we are, fam. Here we are. Um, so I mean I'm used to it um with the hour like 45 to hour drive. Um when working in my old site, I used to commute like 45 minutes to an hour, um, sometimes 35 minutes if I'm really lucky. Um, and I'm like used to that, but the travel to my new work site, um, it's just it's so brutal. The drive is like mentally it's like too long. Um, and you're on the road for like almost 50 miles, like all just straight, which sometimes can be nice, sometimes can be boring. Like that's why I have my podcast going. I have a lot of podcasts um downloaded and new songs downloaded, so I just kind of try to enjoy my ride as much as I can. Um, the coffee really helps, like the drink in my car with my iced drink, whatever it is, really, really helps. Um, so I have like something to grab onto while I'm driving and just kind of take a sip here and there, so that really helps. Um, am I used to this one hour, 30 minute drive? No. So I think next week we're gonna start using this dayuse.com website for all these check-ins, checkouts, stays, and um honestly I'll take that. Um, besides, like I'll take that over traveling an hour and a half to my house or to my apartment and then back and then back and back. Um so yeah, because I thought I could do it before, like I thought I could go to work, travel back to my apartment an hour 30, and then go back to work again an hour 30, and I was like, you know, I'm wasting gas, first of all, and gas is crazy expensive still. Um, and then I'm also using up a lot of my energy after working a 12-hour shift. Like, who wants to drive an hour 30 after a 12-hour shift? That is so mentally taxing, physically taxing, um, and just like dangerous also. Um, because I do I have had an experience where I was too sleepy, and this was going to work. This wasn't even coming out of work, this was going to work. Um, and I hit a mailbox, so it broke my um right side mirror. Not the mirror, but like the pieces of the right side mirror. Um, so that had to be fixed. And yeah, I was just like, you know, get your sleep girl, like pull over if you need to, but really, like, would you spend like a little bit more money in a hot for a hotel use um over like driving all the way back and like using up gas, your energy, time? So I think we're gonna we're gonna plan for that the next few weeks and then the rest of the month, um, and a little bit of next month because yeah, it's just not working out. Um, I'm so tired. Yeah. But um that's that with work. Finally, um, I want to announce that I did commit to a new nurse practitioner program or school. It is a great school, great program, from what I've heard, from what I've researched. Um, and it's it's pretty prestigious, I want to say. It's a pretty like repri like good reputation school. Um, and it's near my worksite, like a little bit over 30 minutes from my worksite. Um, I don't know how far it is from my new apartment to yeah, from my new apartment. But the best thing is guys, um, I mean that matters in a way, but not really, but kind of because I want to go to campus and like study and like do stuff there and explore the campus and like just be back in college, you know. Um but I it's online, it's a hybrid program. All the courses are online. Clinical is the only thing that's in person, and the best thing about this program, which is what really secured me, like was the final decision-making dealer breaker, deal breaker, yeah, deal breaker, was that they secure clinical sites for you. Most nurse practitioner programs, you have to find your own preceptor and you have to pay like a thousand bucks just for them to teach you the ropes and show you the ropes and like all that stuff, which I get it. Like you're using your time from work to teach a student. Of course you want to be paid, just a little bit. Um, but not that to that extreme, and then also just like the effort of emailing, cold calling, um, cold turkey calling- is that what it's called? Cold calling, like different sites and stuff like that, it's just like why put in that effort? That is also very stressful. So the fact that this school was able to stress that they do secure clinical sites, and this is on their website. I really hope like that is not false. Because I mean, if you're putting it on your website and I'm reading it right, like I am comprehending this statement right, then it's gotta be true. So, um, I was like, yes, yes, please, I will take that deposit. I did do the enrollment deposit last night, kind of this morning, because it was like 1 a.m., 2 a.m. It was $500. Um, if that doesn't tell you how expensive the school is, then boys, you are in for a ride. You are in for a ride about my venting my crash outs for the next few episodes whenever I start school. I think it's in late May, yeah. Um, I have not enrolled in N classes yet, but yep, I I'm gonna pay a pretty hefty price tag. Um, am I ready for it? Kind of. Um, I saw this comment on one of this, I think it was a Reddit post, and they were like, oh, like they were kind of deciding this school or that school. And a lot of the comments were like, um, for the name, for the reputation, that school. Um, and one of the other comments was like, I I do want that school. I like the reputation is great, this program is great, from what I've heard, it is very pricey, but I will figure out a way. And that was the comment right there that made me like, okay, we're gonna figure out a way. Just like how I figured out a way to not be evicted this week. Um, if you guys did I talk about that in my last episode, I don't know. But long story short, I was almost evicted. Like they were gonna start the eviction process here at my apartment. Even though I had two more months to finish up this lease, like they still don't care. Um, which I get it, that's the law. But yeah, I was so close to eviction, and I finally got the funds and I figured it out. We figured it out, guys. Um, so yeah, I'm really excited to start this program finally. I like there's not much information to be honest on the website about the psychiatric nurse practitioner program or really any of the other specialties because I want to know how long it is. Um I can kind of like they've told me it's about like two years or an hour or hour, uh one year and a half, um, but it's not like in writing on their website, and I would really like that. So, we're just gonna ask some questions on Monday. Hopefully they'll get back to me. Um, but yes, I am officially have secured my spot, that $500 spot, and it better be worth it. Um, which like I have I have a good feeling about this program. I think, you know, I've from what I've heard excuse me. From what I've heard, um, like everything's organized and the fact that they have like I think it's very rare to have a hybrid program, nurse practitioner program, where like everything is online, they they clinical has to be in person and they do secure clinical spots. Like I don't think a lot of programs have that. They have the online aspect for sure. Um, and then they have like you have to do clinical, but you have to find your own preceptors. Um, there aren't a lot of programs out there where you have to find like where you have um the school secure your clinical site and be online. So I'm like, this is a win-win, guys. Like I can go to work, I can do my schoolwork online during my night shift when it's downtime, and and yeah, like I don't have to worry really about going in person for classes and like putting that in my schedule. So unless it's Zoom classes, I don't know. No one is I mean, I went to one info session and I didn't really take notes, but yeah, we'll see. But I think like any nurse practitioner program, you're just kind of self-learning at that point and like self-teaching. Um, but yeah. I really hope they don't use Blackboard. That's a that's a like online school, like where you submit your assignments and everything and discussion posts. I don't like that. I really hope they use Canvas. I'm used to Canvas my whole life. Um, it was great. I think I started using that in high school, and I was like, this is a really good, like it keeps me organized. I know where to find my grade and stuff. It's like very simple. Um, so yeah. Sorry. I'm gonna drink some water first. I'm so sorry, guys. Oh, these allergies. Yep, time to take a Zertec. But yeah, I think I'm gonna end with that note. I am now less stressed about finding a school. This also, by the way, I think la last episode I also talked about how I was waiting for my top choice um to be like like my decision.
SPEAKER_00I got okay. Oh god. Are we good? Oh my gosh. Pause, guys, pause.
SPEAKER_01I am so sorry. To the Academy and to the Oscars. Um Oh my gosh. Yeah, allergies. It's the cough, guys, it's the cough that really gets me. It's the sniffles that really gets me. Yeah, and me being tired on top of this, it's not well. Um but yeah, my top choice, I did not get in. Oh my gosh. Okay, we good. My top choice, I did not get in, and I was pretty disappointed, but like at the same time, I'm okay because the classes are in person, and I would have tried to fit that into my schedule. And also the program is three years, so yeah, I think I dodged a bullet over there. Um, wouldn't it have been nice to go to that school? Yes, like I think that would have been like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but I mean I'm really happy with the school that I picked. So we're gonna end on that note. I need to take a Zertec bad. I apologize for all the coughing and the sniffling and the long pauses and the water breaks and matcha breaks. Yes, I do have a matcha near me. Um, I apologize for that, y'all, because maybe I should have taken a Zertec before recording this episode. But um, but yeah, I just wanted to end on that note. Yes, I am finally starting over again with nurse practitioner school. Um Yeah, I have a lot of debt still. I have a lot of finances, but things are moving, like they're I think they're getting progressively better, and we're moving in like different directions, but it's like it's like certain now in a way. Um, I know what to do about the work situation, like I know now what um like stay to use. I'm no longer using an Airbnb, which is what I did in the past, but um, or like recently, um, but I like the hotel aspect. So we're gonna do that for work. We are going to figure out the sleeping situation. I think tomorrow night. Um I don't work tomorrow night, so I'm gonna try to push through after my shift. Like I'll take probably like a three-hour nap and then wake up early and do like a lot of productive stuff. Or should I just push through it and then sleep that night? I don't know. We'll see. Because I have a lot of packing to do. I have a lot of like things to figure out. Um so yeah, we're gonna do that. And then my new apartment, I'm gonna figure that out. I'm gonna wait till Monday to have my questions answered and do all of that stuff, and then my new nurse practitioner program, I'm gonna figure that out, the enrollment, the classes, and all that stuff, and like how to how it works, and you know, just start getting connected with some people. So really exciting stuff, guys. I think compared to my last episode, I was like, I was a mess, and um, you know, and that's okay. We can be a mess sometimes. We can then make progress and like bounce back and then honestly, and then we can, you know, get knocked down again and we can get back up. So um, but yeah, thank you guys so much for watching. Thank you so much for being patient throughout this whole episode. If you made it this far, I apologize again. I will take a Zertec, I promise, for the next episode, if I do have allergies again, like if they really act up, but hopefully not. So, yeah. Um, thank you guys so much again for listening to this episode. I will talk to you guys in my next one. Bye bye.
