Sage of Stars
Welcome to Sage of Stars, an astrology podcast about self-understanding, personal growth, and learning how to work consciously with life's experiences.
Astrology is more than prediction. It is a language of meaning, a tool for self-discovery, and a framework for understanding the patterns that shape our lives. Each episode explores astrology not as something that happens to us, but as something that can help us better understand ourselves and make more intentional choices.
Whether you're new to astrology or have studied it for years, you'll find practical insights designed to help you recognize recurring themes, navigate challenges, and make the most of your opportunities for growth. Through discussions of natal charts, planetary cycles, houses, signs, and current astrological influences, we'll explore how astrology can become a powerful tool for self-awareness and transformation.
If you're looking to learn astrology, deepen your understanding of your birth chart, or discover how astrology can support real personal development, this podcast is for you. It is also a companion for students seeking astrology education and astrology classes that emphasize understanding, application, and meaningful change.
Because astrology isn't just about knowing what's coming next.
It's about understanding who you are, why you do what you do, and what you choose to do with that knowledge.

Today, let's talk about how the chart becomes a tool for awareness. How awareness creates possibilities and how that knowledge builds the path for our lives. There are a lot of choices we can make in life, the ones we make matter. #astrology #astrologyclass #sageofstars
Most people really misunderstand what astrology is. They think that it's some kind of fortune-telling tool, or that it's some mumbo jumbo that's really not as powerful and eye-opening as it really is. But I know what astrology is. It's an incredible tool for self-understanding, number one, and then it's a powerful tool for guidance, personal guidance, and direction, and understanding of what is happening in our lives, why we're attracting specific circumstances and how we can navigate them. So the chart is not some sentence that's handed down from above. In fact, the Europeans they talk about the chart as a map. So when we use the word chart, we're really using it more like nautical chart, not like a chart that you would have in a hospital or something like that where you would just write data, but like nautical charting, um, which is really a map. And so just so like a person could be walking through um, you know, a forest and not notice birds or the weather or the changing trail that's you know winding off in front of them. We can move through our lives without noticing ourselves. And I think that the chart helps us pay attention. When we are paying attention to the world around us, we're gathering information. Um clouds don't necessarily tell us that rain might be coming, right? A shift in the wind could tell us that the weather is changing. Um, the environment is always communicating with us, and our chart works in a similar way. I think I wanted to talk about the intuitive nature of being in tune with the environment because of the way that it sends signals to us. But the chart is something extremely tangible that we can really look at and say, oh, these are the signals. This is the foundation of who I am, and this is the way that the path before me and the journey is going to unfold because this is the map. The chart communicates, I think, patterns and strengths, and talents, and challenges that operate within us. Um, things that we might not really fully understand, things that we may experience repeatedly without recognizing. We call those patterns. Pattern recognition becomes a really important part of our personal understanding if we want to grow. And I think the chart is so helpful at revealing what those patterns are, but it also puts a language to those experiences. It's a fantastic translator of life, and understanding uh the information uh that changes everything because understanding is what creates possibility. Um, I think we spend years assuming that the way that we're doing things is the only way that we can do them because we become very narrow in our approach to the way that life is unfolding in front of us. But the chart gently challenges that. It says, here's places where you could be underestimating yourself, or where you might be stuck in an old habit, or where growth is waiting, um, where growth is possible. The more we understand ourselves, the more that possibility becomes visible. And possibility is powerful because you can't choose a path that you don't see. Awareness is a fantastic uh way to live our lives. One of the most valuable things is not prediction from our chart, it's orientation, finding our true north, understanding where we are, what we're working on, why we're working on it, what life's asking us to experience and do. What qualities in our personality are we trying to bring out, or what's emerging within us? I think what's uh interesting about being married to somebody is finding years into the marriage personality qualities or something that's in them that we didn't notice originally. And so I don't think we're static, and the chart's not static either. Um it doesn't, it certainly doesn't force a direction, but it illuminates it, it shows us that path, and it says this is where we can align with who we truly are, rather than perhaps what we think we're supposed to be. So working with our chart is actually something that brings us to paying attention, paying attention to ourselves, our patterns, our choices, paying attention to the opportunities that life keeps placing in front of us, whether we want to see them or not. Because when we pay attention, we gain understanding, and understanding creates the possibilities, and then those possibilities reveal the path. Not the path, actually, that the heavens have chosen for us, but a path that we discover through awareness, and that's where astrology becomes truly meaningful. You're listening to the Sage of Stars podcast, and I'll talk to you soon.
