Hello. The moon has gone into Aries this morning and had I think it has a very deep lesson to teach us, not about courage or independence, but something even more fundamental that Aries is uh connected to, and that's about self-governing, self-governance. I think we spend so much of our time um believing that personal power comes from changing the world around us, the world outside of us. But the moon in Aries reminds us that our greatest strength and power doesn't belong out there, it belongs in here, inside. Self-governance is our ability to lead ourselves, to notice our emotions without letting them take over, to be able to feel anger without becoming anger, to be able to be afraid, without surrendering to fear. I think recognizing that our feelings are real, but that they don't always deserve the last say, that's very Aries. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and it represents emergence. That's why it's spring, it's like, you know, bulb flowers coming up from the ground. It's the moment that our consciousness says, I am. That's why Aries is connected with identity and separation, because it represents a birth moment for all of us. But that declaration of like I am is not the full extent of the journey of Aries. It's only the beginning of the responsibility that we have towards who we are as individuals. Because once we become aware of who we are, then we become responsible for ourselves, and that's personal power. I think there's an expression about giving our power away, and that can become quite a cliche, but it's not a cliche, it's a real thing. We think about how often we hand over our emotional reality to other people. Someone criticizes us and suddenly our whole day is ruined, someone ignores us and we question our own worth. I think if someone disagrees with us, we're we become so defensive. You have to ask yourself in those moments who is actually in charge? Because it's certainly not us. Moon in Aries is basically saying, take back the wheel. You're the one that's in charge of this boat. You don't have to react to everything, you don't have to answer to everything, you don't have to attend to every emotional argument that your mind is inviting you into. Sometimes the strongest action that we can take is not reacting at all. Choosing to respond deliberately, that's self-governance. So real power, real personal power. When you stop trying to govern everyone else, that's the beautiful irony. You become extraordinarily powerful because your energy no longer gets leaked into battles that you were never really meant to fight, or potentially certainly to win, or who cares, whether we do or not? Instead, fuel our own direction, make our own decisions, orchestrate our own life. Every day, I think, offers us dozens of opportunities to practice this. Do I complain or do I create? Do I blame or do I build? Do I take responsibility? Do I wait for permission or do I take the next meaningful step on my own? These are Moon and Aries qualities, they're moon and Aries questions. Not because it's perfect, but because it values movement and choices and power and authority in the tarot, Aries rules the emperor, the authority figure of the deck. One conscious choice after another. That's where our real power lies. So we ask ourselves today one simple question: Am I surrendering my personal authority to other people, to other situations over the expense of my own experience? And what small choice could I make today to put me back in charge? Not of someone else's life, but of my own, because that's where real freedom lies. I'm Craig Martin. This is Sage of Stars. Thanks for listening, and I'll see you next time.
