Venus goes in Virgo, and I think it's a great fit. Loving service, what could be more perfect than that as an expression of love. Caring for the kids, taking care of the needs of others. Working on the simple things, simply because they matter and they represent acts of love. It's an image of the monk sweeping the temple. Not grand, but important. So, Venus has gone into Virgo, and that's quite lovely. I think that Venus and Virgo mix really well. The central question here would be: what if love is not only something that we express, but something that we practice? You'll remember all the way back to episode number six that the sixth house and Virgo is about becoming better at something because we repeat it. It becomes routinized, it becomes something that we practice. And if love became something that we practiced, we might actually see that it's not about just a declaration or a display or something emotionally dramatic, but that it could be about something a bit quieter, like remembering what someone needs, or helping without being asked, or noticing what would make someone else's life easier, or tending to small things simply because small things matter. So I think Venus entering Virgo is less about what we feel and more about what we are doing with those feelings. Venus, the planet itself, is in a lot of sort of common astrological language thought of as like the way we love. And it does describe that the way, the mode, the practice of the way we demonstrate love. It's about relationships and attraction, and it's also about values. So Venus is saying, really, overall, all the time, what actually matters to me? What do I appreciate? Or in that Libra way, how do I create harmony between myself and others? Venus is naturally seeking connections. So it's looking for a language that it can express love through. And when it moves into Virgo, that language becomes attention, effort, and usefulness. So Virgo, the second part of this, is going to be about, you know, service, responsibility, um, discernment, right? Because Virgo is always doing sort of a critical analysis of things. How can things be better? How can they be improved? Virgo is always noticing what other people don't see. What I think what needs to be tended to, what could work better, where something needs help, or how maybe just a small adjustment in something could create a meaningful change. So Virgo is never really asking, you know, when Venus is in Virgo, it's not asking, how can I make a grand expression of love? We could save that for Venus and Leo. Now we're asking, what can I do that would genuinely help someone else? Because loving service is never about a spectacle, it's always about just being present, being attentive, and following through with actions that matter. Virgo likes the bottom line, right? It's not really that interested in any woo-hoo. It wants to know, did this actually make something practically better for others? So love, right, in this sense becomes a verb. And making someone dinner, washing the dishes, helping to organize something, you know, remembering an important detail, taking care of ordinary responsibilities, or offering a solution or helping hand, all of those things point to not necessarily the task itself, but to the idea that love is carried within the task. And that's what's meaningful about this connection between Venus and Virgo is am I bringing forward the love that I have inside myself with simply like ordinary care, ordinary attention? It's not love with you know poetry, flowers, dramatic declarations, and roses. It's love that washes the dishes that's there for you when you're not feeling well, that brings you the chicken soup, that sees that something is, you know, broken or needs to be fixed or cleaned even, and then just does it. Right? The idea I noticed what needed to be done, I noticed what could help, and I wanted to help. That's Venus and Virgo. It reminds us that loving service is not about proving our worth, it's more deeply about a willingness to bring care into ordinary places where love becomes real. I'm Craig Martin.
