Today in the CREATE Community column, I am interested in how a new charter of the Leadon Family Foundation will help build and create community. I have taken on the responsibility to move forward with being chairman of such an entity by the foundadation's president, Charlie Leadon. On April 1rst, we are also beginning an integrated media daily CREATECast with a podcast and this column. Monday is community-driven.
In cooperation with Sound Century Academy, the University of Colorado and The Harry Tuft Collection.
Hi everyone, it's Richard Arnold Vitti from Create Daily, a media cast that focuses on communication, creativity, recreation, education, art and media, travel and transportation, and entrepreneurship. I am in my studio in the Sagrada Cristos of Colorado, and I have Charlie Leden, president of the Leden Family Foundation in San Diego, and Diane Davis in Atlanta, Georgia, the Chancellor of Lein Family Foundation University. Every Wednesday we talk education and continuing education with Charlie and Diane as part of my own fellowship and MBA program in entrepreneurship, mentorship, and coaching. It's happening because of Charlie, Diane, and others at Leadin who have a vision to bring up the next generation of entrepreneurs around the world. Welcome, Charlie and Diane to Create Daily Education Wednesday. Hi, everyone. I have with me Charlie Leden, president of the Leden Family Foundation. Charlie, when and how did the Leden Family Foundation start? And since you have reset the foundation, what are the things you have changed and what is your your vision for what's going to happen immediately and uh what's going to happen gradually? Of course.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, Richard, for having me. So the Lennon Family Foundation was originally started in summer of 2025 as the Lennon Family Corporation structured as a mutual benefit nonprofit corporation. During that time, between around June 2025 and through November 2025, this was a lot of time we spent in recruitment for key officer positions. Much time was spent in fundraising, going to integrate all the members of the organization into our common mission. And even more, how are we going to continue to develop a common vision in reality?
SPEAKER_01So, what was the response like, Charlie?
SPEAKER_02So in November, we launched our biggest recruitment campaign yet with 600 applications. During that time, I had found that as one individual, I could not possibly communicate with 600 people at any given time. Realized that it became necessary to hire a few people from that application list as recruiters, whose job would then be tasked with hiring everyone else. That saved me a lot of time and enabled us to bring as many of us on board as possible. And as we grew, we had always seen four key employees on average. Now we have 35 members. In December 2025, for federal tax exemptness, I had many word-worded interviews came to me through our recruiters, which followed a process of diligence for nonprofit mission event. Once I had completed many of those interviews, we had many meetings, many group interviews, which both saves me the time of not having to meet with everyone individually first, but meeting with everyone in a group conference.

We're back, I'm Richard Arnold Beattie, and you're listening to the Create Daily. Wherever you get your podcasts, we continue our conversation with Charlie Leden, president of the Leden Family Foundation, and we're going to talk about expanding the borders beyond California and internationally. We'll pick up there. Ledden Family Foundation is a California company, but you reach far beyond California. Tell me how you work with other geographic areas domestically and internationally. Of course, thank you, Richard.
SPEAKER_02So I'm very pleased to have expanded nationally and internationally, because our mission cannot be contained in one state or one geographical area. We have to expand past borders and expand to as many people as we can possibly reach to share alignment. So although we are based in California, we have many team members in Northern California, many team members in Central California, many team members in, I suppose you can call it Eastern California. We also have many team members from Florida. Many team members in Tennessee, many team members in Georgia, and likely in about 10 different states. We have team members in. In addition to that, the music department of our organization, originally at Charlie's Piano Studio, founded in 2020, six years ago, has team members who continue towards the affordable education objectives of our organization and have partnered in some capacity with us for many of these. This includes Government, India, Leo. So as we continue to expand operations, we like working with individual team members who can operate like franchises, like how many brands in their local provinces and expand to bringing more people in the same geographic location, mean up for commentary. So as we continue to expand, I look for a stronger California presence and a more jurisdictionally diversified presence all over the university.
SPEAKER_01Well, you have one of the most definitive books on music theory that you wrote. How old were you when you worked on that book with Berkeley?
SPEAKER_02Of course. I was 10 years old 2017 when I began work on Music Theory Handbook, a concise handbook for mastering music. This started out with a 50-page written draft and handpaper. I then expanded it to transcript a written draft into my computer, and after much effort in revising and editing that rough draft, many frustrating formatting issues along the way. In September of 2022, when I was 15 years old, we published the music theory handbook on Simon and Houston's origin public. Many other online sales people in online stores in the area of dropshipping and e commerce have an resale of our book on their board.com to encourage the copy from our organization before Amazon will fulfill the order to their customers. This is helping our business very much. This is helping our organization provide just that kind of affordable music education to entrepreneurs. My story is that at the age of 13, I started Charlie's Piano Studio LLC, which is an organization trying to teach music lessons affordably to homeschool children, to homeschool families, to college students, and to adults and seniors looking to study music using our textbook at an affordable price to provide that comprehensive education. The textbook includes a dictionary, and that dictionary covers the languages in Italian, German, and English that you will see when you're looking at classical sheet music. This is part of our larger objective to provide affordable education to everyone and to people who will take that and move forward as entrepreneurs to utilize this education for starting businesses, organizations, and initiatives that will make the world a better place.
SPEAKER_01Wow, what a story! We're coming back to my conversation on Create Daily with Charlie Ledin and talk about ways that you can join the Ledden Family Foundation in real estate, law, financial, and entrepreneurship and accounting as well, media, arts, and communications, and planting incubators, and how you can give to this cause and this organization. That's coming up on Create Daily. I'm Richard Arnold B. Stay with us. What does radon look like? It's clear. You can't see it. What does it sound like? It's silent. You won't hear it. What does radon smell like? You can't smell it or taste it. What does radon feel like? Like you smoke two packs a day as if you can't breathe. Got radon? We've got you. A message from Realtors of Central Colorado and SurfPro Solida. Hi, it's Richard Arnold Beattie with Create Community and Led in Properties. Interested in hanging your salesperson license or becoming a realtor with a brokerage which doesn't take most of your commissions? Join Leadin Investment Corporation and keep 99% of your commissions initially with full transaction support and dedicated brokers available to you. Interested agents can reach out directly via Facebook or search for Leiden Investment Corporation. That's L-E-A-D-O-N Investment Corporation. There's so much more to it, and so many more rewarding things to do with music when you realize that music like entrepreneurship can be used to solve problems and could be used for healing, not the cure, so to speak, but for healing people uh who are in pain and and uh it illustrates how you are speaking to a younger uh generation that's going to be coming up uh and that kind of giving spirit through entrepreneurship and through music. It's uh it's a beautiful story, uh, and I I'm gonna be telling it a lot I can tell. We are excited about the Empower Dreams Fund Futures uh campaign, and uh that's at givesendo.com. What what are the kind of contributions that you're hoping for? And what is the minimum if there's a minimum, and what is the maximum that people can give? Of course.
SPEAKER_02So there is no minimum to this campaign, so please donate anything you can, whether that's one cent or two cents. When sent with a prayer, it means a lot to our overall mission. Our goal is to raise$10,000 for this particular campaign. Those funds will be put in our endowment funds. Our endowment fund is a brokerage account that is invested in mutual funds and stocks prudently, tailored around a 10% annual return objective towards our goal of using the dividends and some capital to fund perpetual grants to every future generation of qualifying entrepreneurs when invested properly. That we can afford to issue in grants indefinitely for every single future generation of qualifying entrepreneurs beyond the lifetimes of any of us. So every donation counts. As we hope to raise ten thousand dollars every month, over the years, we look to grow the endowment fund more and more so that the amount of funds that we can afford to donate recurringly can grow perpetually without reliance on any future donations. There is no maximum you can give. Through Gives and Go platform, they can process up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. I've seen many of their leading campaigns have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, and this is often for one individual, a family, a small business that funds are being raised for. In this case, it's for future qualifying entrepreneurs indefinite. So it's a big mission to fill, and any contribution helps, much appreciated, and of course, you can ask me or Richard if you have any questions about how to donate.
SPEAKER_01Very good. Charlie Leden, president of the Leden Family Foundation. Thanks for being with me today. And uh I just imagine we'll be doing something in on a regga regular basis here. So thank you, my friend. Thank you. That's on Create Daily every Thursday, April 2nd.
