Hello everybody and welcome back to the Sedona Psychics podcast here in Sedona, Arizona. I am continuing our segment on Meet the Reader. And today I have Linda May here with us. Uh say hi, Linda May. Linda May has been a reader here with us since the beginning, I want to say. Yeah. Like just a few months after you will finish. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you've been here for a while. You you're in the ropes, in the loop. So we're gonna start off today by asking Linda May some questions about her modalities, how she's feeling, also getting into some personal fun questions as well, just like we have on all of the other episodes with all of the other readers at the Crystal Magic Sunkic Center. So, Linda, before we dive in today, how are you feeling today? I'm feeling great, actually. I'm actually I'm very excited about this, to be honest. Awesome. We're excited to have you here today. Uh, so what's the energy like for you coming into this conversation today? It's I'm actually very excited for many reasons. I've always actually had no problem with doing kind of speaking things and stuff like that. And so for me, it's just an opportunity for people to meet who I am, the real me. You know, yeah. Just description on a flyer. Right, right, or on the website too. Yeah. All right. Well, the first few set of questions we're gonna get into is gonna be pretty much about your spiritual path and your journey of where you how you got to where you are today. So, can you share a little bit about your spiritual journey? How did this path first begin for you? Well, interestingly, I was brought up in a household. My mom, my grandmother actually was a member of the Universalist Church at the time, the Unitarian Universalist Church these days, but back in the day it was Universalist. And that's where we went to Sunday school and everything. And so my very beginning was going, you know, basically my Sunday school teacher, she was geared towards children. So she would teach us about like God being in trees and in flowers and in animals. Oh, that's awesome. So I loved that, you know, I I had a love of nature anyway. We had like a lot of woods around my house and they used to play in them all the time. So to me, that was just so perfect. Oh, that's awesome. So that's luckily what I grew up with. And then as I got older, I found other things. Um, many years later, I met my person who became my husband, and he was a practicing Buddhist at the time, and he opened me up to like the East West Foundation. So I learned about a lot of different other spiritualities at that time. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, that's cool. Yeah. So my path has been very, you know, it's been really amazing. And he basically we found out about this woman who was a psychic in Rockport, Massachusetts. Lisa Poole was her name, and she introduced us to an organization called Servants of the Light, which was based on Kabbalistic training. And it was like a five, it took me five years to get through the course. And I was meditating every single day. I still use a lot of those meditation techniques. I still use a lot of the energy clearing techniques. Even when I bless my room every single time I go into a room here, I bless it every single time with something I learned from that. That's awesome. So it seems like you have a lot of knowledge under your belt with a lot of different things, a lot of different spiritualities. And then on top of it all, probably my main path these days, for over like 35 years, I think now, is the Druid path. And I found that in 1991. And in many ways, it was in alignment with everything. Right. It just seemed to be right in alignment with the things I learned in Sunday school way back then. It was in alignment with even the things I learned from Servants of the Light and the Tree of Life. Okay. And, you know, all of all the different teachings and everything, it all just kind of fit to me. And the druids, and I don't know, most people don't know much about druids. One of the questions that people ask me a lot. Right. I tend to use druid cards. And um, they're they're very nature-based, but the the druids themselves had a lot of wisdom. They were trained probably by the Essenes, which was one of the ancient sects that used to really teach wisdom paths and stuff like that to people. And they became one of the lost, they were one of they were the leaders of one of the lost tribes of Israel, and they settled pretty much in the Celtic area, which went from Eastern European all the way over to the British Isles. And they became known as the ones that had all the wisdom and they knew how to read the stars, they knew astrology, they knew how to read the branches on a tree. I mean, it was just cool. So all of those things that are a part of who I am, and it just a part I just knew in my soul that I had been a drew in the past lives, all that kind of thing, just because uh when I found the path, I knew it was my path. Right. You know, but it blends in with everything else. I also have been um here in Sedoma since I moved to Sedona, I was very active for a number of years, and I'm still associated with the Global Center for Christ Consciousness, which at the time was Unity of Sedona. And I started the Epsectic Sunday program, and I actually learned a lot from that too. But in many ways, it was right in alignment with a lot of the scene stuff and the servants of the light stuff, and it's just amazing. Who would think? All right. You know, that I find something like that. And the reason I found out about it is they were actually doing a druid ceremony, and I went to check them out to see what that what they were doing. Actually, the spiritual leader had me talk about druids. Oh wow. Talk about Beltane at that thing. He didn't even know who I was, he had just met me like two minutes before. That's crazy. So you've been around, you've been around. You've been around. So was there a moment when you realized that there was more than just an interest in spirituality and the druid path that you were on? Um that it was kind of getting this information of like, this is my calling. The druid path definitely was my calling. You know, when I found that, that was definitely something that I felt. But it had been my spirituality, it has always just been a part of my life. I remember saying, Now I lay me down to sleep when I was like three years old. You know, I used to say a prayer every night before I still do, before I go to bed, and when I wake up in the morning, I always say prayers. And I've been doing that all my life, but the Druid Path gave me a whole new insight because it was things I loved. Right. And that I would say is one of the biggest messages. I mean, if it's something you love, pursue it. Right. That's your calling, then, right? Your purpose is your purpose for being here. And that's what I teach people when I do readings. That's one of the things I talk about. I love that. Who or what were some of your biggest teachers or influences along your path? Well, I would say, you know, aside from my grandmother, who's my man, and especially the one that introduced us, the family to Unitarian Universalist, um, my husband Bob was definitely a big influence in my life spiritually. Teachers that we found together, like Louisa Pooh, who taught us about servants of the light, all that, those were part of my spiritual teachings. Um, and so all of these influenced me in all of the different things that I had done in my life. Okay. You know, and uh and it's it's led me, I know even I've also studied psychology and spirituality as long as I can remember. So to me, doing readings is sort of a combination of the two of them. That's awesome. I love that. I love that. Uh, what has surprised you the most about doing this work professionally? Well, it's interesting because I've done I've done a lot of this work over the years. I mean, way back when I was 19 years old, I had an astrology class. So I basically have taught classes on astrology. Okay. You know, I've I've done um all different I've done numerology. I used to do a lot of like fairs and uh meetings that we used to have in the Phoenix area when I lived there. And um, I would always be like a reader for people. And when I moved to Sedona, but I did mostly like life coaching, spiritual counseling, uh, relationship counseling, all kinds of things like that over the years. When I moved to Sedona, I said, what should I do here? And the answer came to me immediately, you should do psychic readings. So I got involved with psychic readings almost right away. And I've been doing them here in Sedona ever since. And I've been here since 2014. Okay. All right. Uh so now we are going to go through what your specialties are and the styles of readings and the type of modalities that you use in your readings as well. So, as of right now, where you're at in your spiritual career, what modalities do you specialize in right now? Well, honestly, I've done so many things in my life. I am a Rikme master, so many things to so many people in there do that kind of work here. But I'm finding that I feel a calling to literally just use my, I call them soul level readings, and I use the Druid Animal Oracle as my number one tool. And the reason I use that is because I feel like the messages that come across are exactly what a person needs to hear on a deeper level. So my readings are deep. They're not like, you know, make sounding some handsome person tomorrow, or it's much deeper than that. It's like, what's going on underneath the surface in your life? And that's what I feel like people need to know. And most people don't even ever go there. The world doesn't teach us to go there. So I feel like that's part of what my calling is, is to help people be aware of who they are on the inside and how they are all connected in love and light. And I also feel, especially through these times that we're going through on the planet, everything is changing, everything is shifting. A lot of people are starting to second guess their religions and their beliefs and everything like that. So I I really feel over these next few years, we're gonna we're gonna be pretty busy. I know, I think so too. And I think that, you know, we actually as readers, you know, bringing people to higher levels of understanding things is exactly what this world needs. The world has been basically, and I say this a lot in my readings, it comes up in the readings a lot, but basically we're under a spell in that we we believe that this world is real. Right. And this world isn't really real. This world is an illusion that we have been we've basically been programmed to believe of, you know, the the tenets of society and the way that we're supposed to run our lives and what we're supposed to believe and everything. Yeah. It's not true. Yeah. That's another thing I did in 1992. I took a course called the Avatar course, which is about controlling your beliefs. And it teaches you that your beliefs are actually the beginning of your whole reality. Right. What you believe is what you see, what you believe is what you reflect and attract into your life. Right, right. People know that. Not a lot. I mean, I think it's becoming more and more of knowledge that people are coming across. So, like, again, guys, thoughts are things. Your thoughts are will become your reality. So if you're sitting there being a negative Nancy, guess what? Your whole reality is gonna be negative. So watch your thoughts, guys, because for real, you control it, not anybody else, you. So moving on to some more of our questions here. What makes your sessions unique compared to other readers? Well, I I would say, you know, one of the things, because it has a deeper side to it, like they're very, very spiritual in their own way. You know, they're really taking people to a deeper level of themselves and recognizing the spirituality that we all ultimately share and how important that is. And another thing that comes up in the days all the time is I get to ask them, what are the things that you really love to do in your life? Because the more people can incorporate that in their lives, the better their lives will be. It turns your life around. Right. Yes. Follow your bliss, like Joseph Campbell said. Yep. Mm-hmm. Agree 100%. Is there a type of client or question you feel especially called to help with? Not particularly. You know, it depends on what people have. Even if they have something very specific that they want to ask about, usually what I do is I tell them what's underlying that. Yeah. You know, because a lot of times people want a quick answer, like who's gonna be my, you know, romantic partner for the rest of my life? Yeah. That's very common. Relationships and work. Those are the two most common questions to ask. Uh-huh. And a lot of times it really has to do with what's going on inside of you, you know? Because again, that's a reflection of your beliefs and what type of people you're going to be attracting into your life and all of that. That's awesome. What kind of energy do you hope people feel when they leave a session with you? I hope that they feel enlightened. I hope that they feel that I've made a difference for them. That's what I really hope. And I hope that I lead them to a path that really works for them. That's awesome. That's really what my goal is. I love that. I love that. So now we are going to start going into what clients can expect in a session with you. So, for someone who's never had a reading before, what can they expect when they sit down with you? I usually explain exactly how I work. I explain, you know, the order of the cards, past, present, future, and how the rows are set up so they can see them. I explain about the cards and why I use them, you know, but ultimately, no matter where they're at, I try to gear it towards where they're at. Right. Right. You know, so somebody who is a little bit more deeper and more spiritual will understand more of the spiritual things. Some people who come in don't even know what a past life is. Right. So I won't talk to them about past lives. Right. You know, that kind of thing. Yeah. So, guys, it seems like really like one, a lot of the readers here are very much in integrity. Um, a lot of the readers here also have a lot of compassion for the person sitting next to them. But also another awesome thing is that a lot of the readers here will meet you where you're at on your path. They're not gonna tell you, hey, you need to do this now or nothing's gonna happen. No, we're gonna meet you where you're at and let you know where you can go from there. So just trust that whenever you come in and get a reading from anybody here. So let's see. My next question for you what role do you believe the clients play in their own healing or insight? Well, I really think that because the readings are the type of readings I do, that people will sometimes mull them over. Yeah. So they might not get something right away. Some people do. Some people are like, oh yeah, that's exactly what I needed to hear. You know, but some people, it's something that they have to mull over. It's something that will keep coming up for them because a lot of the things I am offering are from a deeper level. And so some people aren't quite ready for that yet, and that's okay. Right. You know, but the thing is I planted the seeds, and that's what I love. And then it's their job to also water those seeds and and move forward and watch it grow as well. Putting the action into it. And it will, it will, whether they realize it or not. Right. Unconsciously, it will start the process. Right. Love it. What would you say to someone who feels nervous or unsure about booking their first reading? I really like what we do here at the center and we say, you know, go to the person that you're drawn to, the one that you read the description, and it feels like the right person to you. To me, that's really important. And I say that even if it means I don't get as many readings. Right. Because to me, that's the message they need to hear. Yeah. So that to me is so if you're a little bit nervous, just look at who calls to you? Who is it that that you feel drawn to? Because that's the one that has the right message for you. Yeah, there's a reason. There's a reason. And I really believe that. And that's part of psychic energy. Yeah, yeah. And and discernment and trust too. Like trust yourself to to lead you to where you need to go. Last question for this part. How do you keep your work grounded, ethical, and supportive for clients? Ethical and what is the other thing? Supportive. Well, I do believe that all of my readings are supportive. That's exactly right I'm doing ethical because I feel like I'm I'm revealing the truth. You know, what was the other thing? Oh yeah. Um I'm a driverly man. She's always grounded, guys. It's about you know being in touch with the earth. But I do actually do meditations every day where I am grounding myself to the earth and I'm opening myself to the heavens. Right. Yes. You know, every single day. And I do it when I bless my room and everything. Yep. So along the same lines of as above, so below, as within, so without, guys. So exactly, exactly. So our next little set of questions here for you, Linda May, uh, is gonna be some wisdom and advice for our listeners, clients, and everything like that. Um, what advice would you give someone who was going through a confusing or uncertain time in their life? The very first thing I would say is if it's very confusing and you don't really know what to do, one of the things the tool I recommend always, and it's something I use myself, is journaling. Yes, writing it out because if you do that, you're putting it on black and white. You're basically, you know, bringing some kind of clarity because you're writing it down. And writing it down actually helps you to see a little bit clearer about what's going on. So I would say any confusion or any kind of like hurt times in your life, you know, to do that. I wouldn't necessarily say, you know, go run to somebody to get their advice or, you know, use a pendulum, although some people do that and find the answer that way. You know, I think that the a lot of it is just about learning how to go within within yourself, seeing what's going on, and then saying, How can I, how can I change this? How can I make this better for me? Yes, I love that. I love that. What is something you wish more people understood about psychic or intuitive work? Well, that's interesting because you know, because I do what I call soul readings, I'm actually working with a deeper energy. Right. Um, a lot of psychics will just give you, you know, advice in the moment for what's ever going on, and that's great. And that might be exactly what you want and need, and that's why I say choose the person that you want to go to. What do you wish more people understood about psychic or intuitive work? That's not all of us are getting it from the inside. It's coming down from spirit, it's coming down from, you know, a higher source. It's not just we're not just babbling out some baloney, yeah, you know, to make it pay. I think that some some of the psychics that are out there that's enough whole story. There are people that aren't really psychic, they're just telling you what they want to tell you. Right. Yeah, there are people out there who are not really integrity in integrity or really being of service. Uh so again, that's where discernment comes in, guys. Really. And everybody here at the center has higher qualities. Every single person I know here. And I've been here since uh January of 2020. That's how long I've been associated. Yeah, so you've been here for six years. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, and and it started um in I think it guys opened up in August of 2019. So it was literally just four months after it opened. And I've seen people come and go, and I've seen why they come and go. Oh yeah. A lot of the times it's their own fault. Oh my god. Uh, this is one of my favorite questions I I love to ask the readers. What message do you feel the collective really needs to hear right now? This one is a very interesting. I mean, the very first answer that comes to mind is love and light. Recognize that there is a oneness between us and that anything going on in the world, if we're we're in any way involved with, you know, some kind of uh give and take or, you know, uh butting heads with people, that's not going to help everything. If we really want this to be a better world, we need to remember who we are at our core, that we are love and life, that that who we we're all connected and that if we remember the togetherness, that's gonna help make the world a better place. It's gonna raise the whole vibration of humanity. I do believe that that's in store for us. Oh, yeah, definitely. It's sometimes we have to go through a lot of crap before we get there. Yeah. I feel like uh the the whole planet right now is kind of in its tower moment. I almost drew that part this morning. That's so funny that you said that. Oh, but yeah, I was thinking it is kind of like a tower time right now. But you know what? The ultimate the wisdom of the tower in the long run is to make the better changes. Yes. You know, sometimes we just gotta go through the crap to get to the good stuff. Oh, yeah. It's like any kind of shadow work, any kind of introspection that we need to do, any healing of old wounds, all of that, yep, contributes to us making this a better world. It's part of the process, guys. Like, I know it it might sound woo-woo a lot, especially to people who aren't really uh in tune with spirituality yet, but there's a reason why all of that healing and stuff needs to come up. It's to make you better, not to make you worse, not to make you feel like you're a crappy human and you had to do bad things to get to where you are. No, it's a learning curve. This is why we're here on this planet. We are here to learn, to evolve, to have the experience. So remember that, guys. Now we're gonna be moving on to some fun and personal stuff. This should be interesting. So, my first question for you is what's one thing most people don't know about you? I don't think people not know much about me yet.

I've had a very varied past, you know. I I've done a lot of things that you know right now, one of the things one of the situations that's up in the world has to do with um GLBT people. And back when I was in high school, I knew I was bi. People don't know that about me. Okay. All right. You know, and I haven't even had a partner in like ten years. But I don't I'm wow, wow, two years. And I don't miss it. But um I have, you know, over the time that I mostly mostly I've been, you know, I've gone out with guys, but I've also had my share of women partners too over the years. Okay. My husband was, you know, he was, you know, he and I were now in Male and female, more than that. But we also shifted roles because I was the breadwinner and he was the one that took care of the kids. Yeah. You know, I would say that was the biggest thing that most people don't know about me. And it's it's but I did actually do a lot of work for the five community when I was in Phoenix and I used to run support groups for people and things like that. It was just part of you know what I did because I felt like it was something needed, very much needed. And that's one of the things that I really love to do is do what's needed in the moment and help help where I can. Yeah, I love that. I love that. And also in mind, too, we are a safe space for the whole LGBTQ and so on community as well. So just know that if that's your cup of tea, you're also in a safe space when you come see us as well. Do you have a favorite crystal tool or ritual that you do right now? All of them. All of the above. My favorite crystal is rose quartz. I have to say it is my absolute favorite. Um, I have loved rose quartz since the first time I held one, and I don't even remember when that was, but I always have rose quartz near my bed. I have them on my I have them like I have a little altar on my table when I do readings here, and the rose quartz is right in the center. And I just love it because it has to do with the heart. It's totally about coming from the heart, and that's where I believe is that's our chooser. The heart is our chooser. We're gonna are we gonna sink down into the depths or are we gonna rise to a higher level? And that rose quartz gives us the everything, energy to move to higher levels. So I would say that that's my favorite crystal. Okay, so share the love, share the love. Yes. So this is my ultimate favorite question to ask everybody. If your spiritual work had a theme song, what would it be? You know, I kind of think it would be the um love, love, love song by the Beatles. No, that's a bad one. No, that's a good one. That that really matches up, I feel like your energy with your readings and who you are, and that I like that. Yeah, that that suits you. Yeah. What lights you up outside of your spiritual work? I have a cat. Um, I've had animals all my life. We had dogs growing up and in my household. And then when I was on my own, the first thing I did was get a couple of cats, and I've had cats pretty much regularly ever since. Okay. And Misty is just me and Misty. So the two of us live together in my house, and we are very I mean, we have our moments. We're both Tauruses. This is really funny. So sometimes we do butt heads, but we're we actually have a really special relationship between us. So yeah, and we can we can see that though too. Yeah when when you talk about her and post her post her on Facebook. Well, we are getting to the end of our segment here. I do have just a couple more questions for you. Is there anything else you'd like the listeners to know about you or your sessions, or anything else you'd like them to know about? Well, I I I don't know. I I just, you know, I'm my sessions, like I said, I call them soul readings because they're really working with the deeper energies that work in your life. So that to me is really important. And I've already mentioned that, so I don't really have to go into that more. But it is, it's just a very interesting thing to me and how spirituality is just such an important part of my life, always in every level, every level, even you know, every level is just always there, even the decorations in my house, everything. Yeah, all the things, all the things, all the things exactly. And my last question for you, Linda, is what intention would you like to leave our listeners with today? The biggest thing I would say is if you don't know what you love to do, you don't know the things that make you the happiest, because you know, in this world we are conditioned to believe that it should be something. I would say make a list of things that you really love to do. And I would say even list 25 things and choose three. Start incorporating them in your life. And as you do that, you're gonna find your whole life starts to change. It really does. And you can change them at any time. You know, it's interesting, it's an exercise I've done myself. And the first time I did this like way back when I lived in Massachusetts for the first time. And um, one of the things I loved to do at that time was wet-on-wet oil paintings of the Bob Ross oil. Oh, and I did that for like three or four years, and I used to go like once a month to this class uh in in Rhode Island, which was right near where I live. And I just loved, loved so much, loved it. And I still have all the paintings except the ones I gave away, but I still have most of my favorite paintings. But I just didn't want to do it anymore after four years, and that's okay, you know? And so I'm constantly reminding myself, what are the things I love to do? And I'll tell you one thing I absolutely love is journaling. And to me, that's like one of the most you should see, I have bins full of journals. I've had journals since 10th break I'm 10 years old. Wow. And I I keep all of them. I think I've I had my 10th year old, it was a smaller one, and had mostly poems in it. But then in junior high I started keeping regular journals and I have them all. Wow. I know. I don't know what my kids will do with them when I die. I really don't. But I keep thinking one of these days I'll use them to write my memoirs. Right. Journaling to me is such an incredible answer to everything. Yeah. You know, it helps me to stay sane, it helps me to see what's going on, it helps me to see what am I getting upset about. You know, and I write it out and that helps me to see how I should go forward. Right. You know, journaling is gonna give you that different perspective. Always. Always. And it it brings me to deeper places in myself and it helps me even with how I deal with others, you know. So it's to me that's one of the most important things in my life. Awesome. Yay!
