Meet the Reader pulls back the curtain on the intuitive minds behind our sessions. Real stories, real gifts and what actually makes each reader stand out! Meet Nimue
Hello, everybody, and welcome back to the Sedona Psychics Podcast here in Sedona, Arizona. And I'm still continuing the Meet the Reader uh segment for our podcast. And today I have with me Miss Nimwe. How are you doing today? Doing good. How are you? Oh good. I'm good. Nimwe's been with us for a while now. Since 2021. Yeah. Since the summer of 2021. Yes, yes. And Nimwe is also a very, very talented reader. She does galactic channeling. She does evidential mediumship and all of that. And we're also going to get into that today as well. So starting off, Nimway, how are you feeling today? I'm feeling so good. Awesome. Awesome. What's the energy like coming for you into this conversation? Saturn and Aries, Neptune and Aries. For real. I kind of have my executive functioning coming back to me, and I'm so here for it. Nice, nice. I love that. I love that. Well, starting out, we are going to ask some questions about your path, your journey, kind of like how you got into what you're doing today. And then as the the episode goes on, we're going to kind of go into your specialties, the style of your reading, kind of what clients can expect. And then we kind of go into the fun stuff of like wisdom and advice for our listeners and some fun personal questions as well. Okay. Sounds good. All right. So getting started on your path, can you share a little bit about your spiritual journey and how the path first began for you? So from the beginning, um, I was raised by a Catholic and a witch. Okay. So spirituality was always an open discussion in our household, was seeing, I was seeing things. I was seeing things from the time I was very young. I was having traveling dreams to other dimensions. I started doing mediumship by accident when I was 16. Had friends who learned how to astral project to me. I got my first deck of cards when I was 18. And it's just continued from there. Um never not been interested in this kind of world, in this uh in like the metaphysical world, spiritual world, all that. Nice, nice. So kind of been in it since the very beginning as well for you for you. Yeah, I love that. Where was the wow? Come on, come on, Emma. You can get your words together today. Was there a moment when you realized this was more than just an interest, that it was more of the calling? I got voted in high school, my senior year, most likely to work for the Psychic Hotline. I love that. It's in our yearbook. It's in our yearbook. So I think when I was 18 and I got my first tarot deck, that was a big shift for me. That was right around the same time I was really getting into astrology. Okay. And then I ended up dating somebody who was into Alistair Crowley's work, and that was a huge level of expansion for me as well. And that was around the time I just started reading Alan Watts. I started looking into parapsychology, I was looking into psychedelic research. So really between like 18 to 20 was when things started really picking up. As far as going professional, that didn't hit until 2020. Okay. Okay. When everything was just turned on its head and like the awakening with a capital A really started to kick off. Right. And then found us a year later. And I've been here ever since, pretty much. It happened fast. It all happened very fast. We love fast though, because we're also impatient. I know what you're talking about. Impatient? What? What's that? Uh, who or what were some of the biggest teachers or influences along the way? Alistair Crowley. Okay. Just because that was sort of like an initiation for me. Alan Watts, big time. Tara Rock, believe it or not. Really? Yeah, she's not as metaphysical. Like she's more of a Vipassana Buddhist tradition. Right. But a lot of what informs my work currently is nervous system regulation and healing from trauma. And a lot of her work around mindfulness and just being present with yourself and radical acceptance. She has a whole book on radical acceptance. That changed everything because I think it allowed me the space to become a better psychic, to be more present, to be more compassionate, also. So I think those would be in the beginning the first three. Lately, um, it's been a lot of Bashar. I can totally, I can totally go with that too. Yes. Which is another, oh, and Jessa Reed. I can I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Jessa, who I found before Bashar. She is, and not a lot of people in the spiritual community seem to know about her, but I found her by air quote accident. Like the way that I found this woman is crazy. I don't, I don't know if we have time to get into it today, but she I found her on a couple of podcasts and just loved how she was able to bring in like very higher dimensional concepts in a very rooted way. She wasn't about the DNA hacking and the like 5D. She wasn't like that. Like she was talking like a normal person. Right. And she was a stand-up comic, is a stand-up comic. So she had this way of delivering information that just really hit with me. And she's the one that kind of catalyzed my journey around the time that COVID hit. I found her right before it hit. Right before. Wow. I found her right when she was giving the prediction and she didn't know what she was looking at. She kept saying, I keep seeing the planet like covered in glitter. I have no idea what this means. I just know it's going to change the world and everybody's going to be infected by it. Uh-huh. Not excuse me, not infected, affected. Right. So that was uh, yeah, that was a big, big step. That's that's awesome. And and kind of going back a little bit on that when you were saying uh regulating your nervous system, this is something that I'm actually it keeps coming to the forefront with a lot of psychic work. So not just telling our clients to regulate themselves, but us as well. Because if we're not regulated or grounded, then we're not in my mind giving the correct information all the time. I mean, the information's still gonna come through, but if anything, it's gonna help you trust yourself more, you know, doing the sessions. So, guys, let's regulate ourselves, okay, because that's very important. The most important thing. Very, very, very important. What challenges did you face early on and how did you move through them? Sit with that for a second. Okay. I think addiction. Okay. I could relate. Yeah, yeah. And that didn't really start to hit until college, which is interesting because that was around when everything really started picking up for me spiritually as well. And it just got really intense over a like over a decade. I would say two decades. Okay. And it just, I think the way that I was imbibing, it was mostly alcohol for me, just for lack of a better term, just like put holes in my aura. Right. And it brought up a lot of trauma that I didn't know was, or I shouldn't say it brought up trauma, it hid the trauma that was asking to be healed. Right. Yeah. So it was only really when I started taking that more seriously and working on moving away from that that I started to learn what regulation really meant. Okay. Because I couldn't, you can't, I mean, I I don't want to speak for anybody else. I could not actively regulate when I was drinking all the time. Oh yeah, no, I get that. Yeah, I get that. So that would be the number one thing, I think. Awesome. What has surprised you the most about doing this work professionally? I don't know why this would surprise me, but how happy it makes me. Like it is the most joyful work I can think of. And I know a lot of other careers are out there that give people joy in fulfillment, but I think it's just I people ask me a lot if I get tired by the work. And it's exactly the opposite. Like, I I feel like my heart just gets charged up every time I do a reading, right? And I don't know. I think I really like that I get to tell people I get to be a Jedi for a living. I like that take. Yeah, I think that's yeah, it was just unexpected to me that at 40 I'd be working in Sedona as a psychic. It's just it's incredible, it's a miracle. Oh yeah, definitely. It's it's really awesome how how paths cross, uh grow. And we almost kind of meet our soul family along the way. Yeah, the time where everything is so intense right now, too. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. That our work is really needed right now. Oh, yeah, and to be able to be in alignment to meet our soul family. Because that's something I get asked a lot about in readings is where are they? How do I come out of the broom closet, so to speak? Right. The woo-woo closet, so I can find my people. And it's it's a blessing. It really is. Yes, definitely. So, this is my favorite question to ask about this this little segment here. If you could go back and talk to your younger self at the beginning of this journey, what would they say? It'll make you cry without you. You're so much more powerful than you think you are. Yes, yes. You're so much more powerful and you are so much more loved than you currently realize. Oh, I love that. I love that. Uh so now we're gonna kind of go into your specialties and the modalities that you use. I feel like this is gonna be very interesting of you because you have a lot of tools on your belt. So, as of right now in your career, what modalities do you specialize in right now? Right now, it's evidential medianship, which is connecting with loved ones and fur babies, feathered friends who have crossed over. I do tarot and oracle. I've been doing tarot and oracle for 25 years. So that one's just an immediate. I could do that that's a brag. I could do that shit with my eyes closed. The cool ones, my favorite ones right now are the Galactic Channeling and the Spirit Guide Meet and Greets, which can be a little overlapping sometimes. If I'm on our spirit guide team, but the spirit guide icebreakers I started doing in 2021, and it has been one of the most delightful and exciting and fascinating readings I do, like even from a selfish perspective, because I never know who I'm gonna talk to. Am I gonna talk to a deity? Am I gonna talk to angels? Am I gonna talk to fairies? Am I gonna talk to a pink poodle? Because that's a true thing around this. And the lessons that they bring, the reason they show up, the names they give me, there's always purpose to it. So it's just a divine way to let spirit play and to give clients a little bit more um, I guess, curiosity about their imagination. And when the galactic channeling showed up, I mean that that that feels like a way to teach us how to access our consciousness in a way that's very empowered. Right. That's the main thing I learned from from those guys. That's that's awesome. That's awesome. And hopefully down the road, we're gonna do a podcast episode as well to where uh Minlai actually does channel uh with the ETs, things like that, and give give us some interesting messages because Lord, we know we need it. We do, we do, whether we want to hear it or not. How would you describe your reading style in your own words? I can I could get that. Uh I have a Leo Rising, I have a fifth house Mars, so I I do bring an element of prey into my readings. I want people to come in feeling like they can relax, that they have fun. Know that spiritual work is, I take it very seriously. I take my work seriously, I take my spiritual hygiene very seriously. But when it comes to readings, I feel like spirit kind of uses me as a channel to remind people to laugh. Right. And have some fun. Have some fun. Yes. And to remember that, like literally, not to sound totally love and light because I am not, it's love, everything is love. It all comes down to love and compassion and self-compassion. Yes, agree 100%. Is there a type of client or question you feel especially called to help with? Who similar that for a second? That's a great question. I do love talking to women who are emancipating themselves from the patriarchy. Okay. And I I love talking to women that are learning how to be not in solitude necessarily, because I still work with women that are in partnerships, but healing from that wound, right? Um, and I also really love working with people who are deconstructing from religious abuse or spiritual trauma. My heart just like I feel very connected to that in a personal way, in a personal way, and I just want them to feel seen, validated, and held. Um and that's not to say that that men can't come and anyone in between can't come and see me with the same issue, but I do attract that very often. Um, and I love talking to people who want to work with the ETs. It's so fun, guys. Oh fun. The energy is really cool too when you're in the in the session. Also, that's something else to look forward to, guys. What kind of energy do you hope people feel when they leave a session with you? Redation. Love that. Uh so now we're kind of going into uh what clients can kind of expect when they're in a session with you. So for someone who's never had a reading before, what can they expect when they sit down with you? I hope. I hope. I try to be very, very mindful. And um, all my readings are extremely trauma-informed. Meaning, if I sense somebody is uncomfortable, if I sense somebody is tense, we work to kind of work on that first. We want to make sure everybody feels comfortable, everybody feels safe. And I think when it comes to people that have never had a reading before, there can be a lot of information that comes out at once. So I try to kind of hold space, I try to um even educate a little bit. Like I explain what if I use cards, I explain what they mean, I give them context. So they're not just looking at something listening to me, not knowing what the what's going on. They're like, what the hell is that? But so I try to be educational. Um, I try to be open and inviting and and trauma informed first and foremost. All right. Love it. And yeah, I'm saying I love all the things, all the things. So, what does a typical session look like from the moment they walk in that door to the end of that session? We introduce ourselves, I let them know they can uh audio record the session. I really want people to be able to walk away with something they can refer back to because sometimes when you're in a session, it's like really cool in the moment, and then you walk out the door and you're like, I have no idea. Right. So we do that to ask, you know, if how I can be of service to them. That's usually my first question. Okay. And I think in Sedona, a lot of the time, at least half the time, maybe more than half the time, you're gonna get an I don't know. I'm just here. So I then just offer, if it's just a general psychic reading, I just say, let's do um a general energy check-in. Let's invite in your spirit guides, let's see what maybe they want to highlight and point out, and we can take it from there. And then I just say, you know, these questions can be very open-ended. If it's a medianship session, um, I typically ask them to take a couple deep breaths with me, breathing into the heart, uh, making sure there's any tension in the body that we kind of like soften. And then I sort of explain my process and ask them questions. Would you understand X, Y, and Z? Why this person is showing me X, Y, and Z. And then I just kind of allow space for them to ask me questions. If they need to interrupt me because I can be a yapper, they're allowed to do so. It's really important to me that the client feels like they are empowered during the session. Also, here's another favorite question of mine. What role do you believe the client plays in their own healing or insight? They are the healing and insight. Yeah. That's it. A hundred percent. And this is something I've I've had to learn. I was I was a massage therapist for over a decade before I became a psychic. So the healing field has been my passion for a very, very long time. And learning how to take your ego out of it as the air quote healer, as the reader is a thing. Oh, yeah. It's a thing, especially for me with my Leo Rising and my moon and Virgo in my first habit. Yeah, fellow Leo Rising here. So get that. And also helping people understand that they are the source of their healing. It can only truly come from them. We can facilitate the space. We are space holders, we are channels, so we help to bring information through, but what they do with that information is completely up to them. Right. And that's something that the ETs have really taught me more than anything, is that you are accountable for your reality. That being said, that's why I find nervous system regulation crucial, because if your nervous system is dysregulated for any number of reasons, it can be very hard to even know how to hold yourself accountable without shame, without guilt, without feeding trauma loops. So, you know, that's why a little sidebar, if anybody ever does get a galactic channeling session with me, I really encourage them to be in a place where they're not in acute stages of distress or acute stages of trauma because they come fast and hard. They're very blunt. They are, they don't coddle. And sometimes we need that when we're in those uh particular mental states. Kind of like that tough load. Very common. Yeah. Depending on who we talk to, but yes, most of them are very to the quint. Yeah. They're like, no BS guys, this is what it is. Yeah, take it. So what would you say to somebody who feels nervous or unsure about booking their first reading? To listen to their body. If there's too much tension, which is a very subjective, you know, idea. If you're feeling afraid and you're feeling like you want to challenge the reader a whole bunch, which you might not know till you get there, pause. You don't have to get a reading if you don't want to. And also, um, we I do I actually really like working with people who are kind of like, I don't know about this. I'm just here because you know, my friend brought me or my partner brought me. I love those types of clients because they're still usually those types of clients have enough curiosity to be open to receive something. Right. Right. And I remember once there was one client who and they came in here, they were just like, like they were grumpy about being dragged into the reading. So I give them a reading and they literally slammed their hand on the table because they could not only what they were hearing. Uh-huh. And they they booked for 20 minutes and they ended up staying for an hour they wanted to stay longer. So I love being at that threshold of like where curiosity meets revelation, essentially. And and I can totally agree with that. I don't think I've had a session to where somebody like walked out because I wasn't giving them the information. If if anything, it was more of like, how did you know that? Yeah, what are did you like look me up or something? I'm like, I have no idea who you are. You just came into my room and I'm giving you the information. So I love that too. It it's kind of a challenge a little bit. So it makes it exciting, but also at the same time, you're also really helping somebody kind of push past that, is this real or not? Yeah type of energy. So yeah, love it, love it. So now we're gonna kind of go into some like wisdom and advice for our listeners and clients and all of that. What advice would you give someone who is going through a confusing or uncertain time in their life? Nervous system regulation. And there are a lot of ways to do that. You know, I I tell a lot of people in my readings like, don't feel targeted when I ask you this question because I do really ask it of everybody. Are you working with a therapist, a counselor, a coach, an instructor, a friend, somebody that you really trust to help you get in touch with your body? I am huge on somatics. Yes. I am huge on hacking the body to stimulate the nervous system in a healthy way. Because a lot of us, especially in the United States, we're all in our heads, we're thinking our way through everything. We intellectualize everything. And that's fine, but the body doesn't care, right? It does not care. Um, so I would say whether it's meditation, whether it's breath work, whether it's movement, I am a I mean, I've been in and out of trauma-informed therapies for over 15 years, and I will continue to be. I look at therapy as a gym for the mind. So even if you're not in acute trauma and you're just at a crossroads, like it can really help bring things in perspective. I see so much crossover between like actual, you know, legitimate therapy and psychic readings. Yeah. It's very similar in the sense that people are coming to you feeling very vulnerable, right? You will hear things and readings that these folks will tell nobody else in the world, right? And some of that stuff as a reader, you have to be prepared for and know how to hold the space. And then you're there in a similar, obviously, not the same because we're not licensed professionals in that realm, but you're here to kind of offer counsel how people can make the best choices for them, what feels in alignment for you, right? And how can you learn to trust yourself? That's another thing I love teaching people is how do I work on building that trust? Those are two big words, alignment and trust. Like those are main words that I use quite a bit in my sessions as well. So awesome. Uh, what's one spiritual practice you personally use to stay balanced? Astrology. Okay. I love I I didn't mention that as part of what I offer at Psychic Crystal Magic Psychic Center. I do offer intuitive astrology as well. Astrology puts so many things in context for me. Human design too. But astrology, like if I wake up and I feel a kind of way, I'm immediately like, what is Mercury? What is Mercury doing? What is Pluto doing? What is Mars? And I'll look at my chart, I'll look at the transits, and it's just like, oh my God, like this makes sense to me. Yeah. So it kind of grounds me a little bit. I love things that add context. So I would say astrology and meditation. I know everybody feels some kind of way about meditating, but it really makes a difference. And it's not like you have to sit there and quiet your mind. That's not the whole point of meditation. A lot of the time processing those thoughts and just kind of letting them go in and out. Um, and I think it's cool that we're also doing this on the new Chinese uh lunar new year. So today is like the first official day of the fire horse. I'm loving the energy. I'm loving the energy. What is something you wish more people understood about psychic or intuitive work? And it's safe. Yes. When it's practiced by an ethical practitioner, it's safe. Occasionally we'll get questions like, do you ever get a grade? Do you ever, you know, get bad entities? I personally don't. I'm speaking solely for myself as a practitioner. I have not encountered that in the decades I've been doing this work. And it's coming again from a place of love with a capital L. Right. And also that it's fun. It's fun. It's fascinating. And it teaches you that this world is so much more than we think it is, and that we are so much more than we think we are. Oh, yeah, definitely. 100% on that one. What message? Uh, this is another favorite question. What message do you feel the collectively needs to hear right now? Seriously. Just take a minute, guys, and just pause. And honestly, I think with again with the astrology moving forward over the next couple of years with Saturn and Aries, discipline around what you consume, the discipline around where you are pointing your attention because there's a lot of very attention grabbing stuff on social media, mainstream media. That's been true always, but it's letting everybody Right now, um, and especially with the use of AI, not being able to discern what is what, who is who, go touch grass, go outside, read a book, be with your friends, be with your body. Like I'm a millennial. I'm from the before times where we didn't have screens and there were other ways to be present and have fun and enjoy life. I'm not anti-technology, I don't want it to sound like that, but it's reality is a giant algorithm. So where you point your attention matters. Yeah. It really matters, especially now. I also feel like this is maybe a year of kind of like how we were saying earlier of beliefs for people. Like beliefs are gonna be changing in everything for everyone. And and I feel like a lot of this is gonna happen whether people are aware or not at this point. Like the shift is gonna happen regardless if you're open spiritually or anything like that. It's just it's gonna happen, guys. So just hold on tight. I also love how we're both wearing our sleep token jackets. And you have your sleep token shirt on. I'm wrapping today. We're we're sleepy heads, okay, guys. Yes, we love them. What does trusting your intuition really mean to you? What a great question. I think I guess to me it's listening to my body as well as my mind at the same time. Okay. Trusting my intuition feels like letting go. Maybe that's the best way of putting it. Surrendering. Surrender, yeah. It's kind of just moving first without any resistance. Okay. I like that explanation. I like that one. Uh, so now we're gonna kind of get fun and personal a little bit. Not too personal, it's honestly. What's one thing people most people don't know about you? Hmm. That's a pretty open book, girl. I'm a huge nerd, but most people that are at least close to me know that. Uh we wouldn't know that coming into a reading necessarily, but my other passion outside of psychic mediumship is art drawing. I am an artist. I love DD. I'm the biggest nerd you will ever meet. I watch anime religiously. So it's just that is like the other half of my life to the point where I was like, do I want to stage this? Where half the time I'm working as a psychic medium. The other time I'm podcasting about my favorite anime and I'm drawing. And it's funny because a lot of people ask if I do more spiritual art, and I can do that. I I do intuitive portraits, but my favorite thing to do is character art. I absolutely love it. Yeah. So that's my other thing. Which do you have a favorite crystal tool or ritual right now? Crystal tool or ritual. Let me sit with that too. Blue oval. I love it's a good one. And I actually found it from the crystal from Crystal Magic. Uh-huh. It's a little palm stone that I use when I'm doing medium ship. And there's just something about its energy that is super soothing. It's super calming and cool. Like there's something about it that's kind of like keeping the temperature right, I guess, so to speak. So I love that. And I also just got my first piece of moldavite gifted to me. So we're gonna see, we're gonna see how that goes. And saffrodite. Saprodite would be my okay, nice. And all the galactic stones. Big surprise. Big surprise. Oh my goodness. Yeah, what was it? I think in 2020, Moldavite became very big with social media. And I don't think people really realized how much that was gonna change their lives. Root awakening for a number of folks. Oh yeah, oh yeah. Uh, if so here's my favorite question. If your spiritual work had a theme song, what would it be? The drums of liberation. Okay. From One Piece. Okay. That's nice. Oh, yeah. You have to think about that. That or infinite baths, probably from by Sleep Token. I like uh what was it? Emergence too. That's a good one. I know this isn't about sleep token guys, but really a lot of their music music hits spiritually and on many different levels, if if you want to look at it that way. Their shirts are called rituals. Yeah, like for real. I think I just want people to feel like they can have fun, they can speak their truth. Uh, a lot of people will come and be like, they're gonna think I'm crazy. Try me. Try me with that. Um, I, you know, like I said, voted most likely to be a psychic in high school. Like there's very few things, minus any, you know, negative energy someone's bringing in that might be derogatory towards someone else, which I've personally never experienced. Can you can tell me whatever you need to tell me? It's safe. I want you to feel safe in the reading, and I think it'll be you'll just you'll just learn something new, maybe, hopefully, that you didn't have before. I want you to walk out feeling like you've got something you didn't have before. Right. And again, guys, this is just confirming how safe you will be with us at Crystal Matic Psychic Center. Our doors are open to everybody. So doesn't matter. Everybody's welcome. And then last question for you, Nimway. Uh, what intention would you like to leave our listeners with today? Not to sound uh even though, yeah, to repeat the message of Bad Bunny during the Super Bowl halftime show. Love is stronger than hate. Period. We'll stop. Total, 100%. I love that. Love it. Yes, guys, again, I love it. Okay, don't judge me. Well, thank you so much, Nimwe, for sharing your journey and your wisdom with us today. It really is a gift to have you here a part of the Crystal Mavic Psychic Center family. Because really, it it it that's what it becomes, you know, especially if you're here for the long run. But for all of you guys listening, you can book a session with Nimway on our Crystal Mavic Psychic Center website. It has all of her information in there, all the different types of modalities that she uses during her sessions and all of that.
