What up, what up, what up? It's the one and only map fix that's back coming at you in full effect. And get to back again. MSFP certificates collectives. MSFP Specificates Airwaves is back. Tell a friend. Getsu's back. Yeah. We're fully relaunching with brand new shows for my birthday on April 4th. This is sort of like a pre-cursor podcast. It's a test in the waters. We're gonna do some uh throwbacks uh every Sunday to our our past blog talk radio podcast. Uh just to get y'all refamiliarized with us. And April 4th, we will have new content for you. So step back and left. One of our Money Girls make Monday episodes of the radio. It's lovely days right now. So here it is coming up next. It's it's our CFO Money Girl with her Love Manic Monday days uh her Money Girl Manic Mondays featured in a song by the Bengals in the beginning.
SPEAKER_07Intro Manic Monday just another manic Monday in No Spend November.
SPEAKER_05Just to remind you, we are brought to you by the Splendidicus Foundation and MSFP World Music.com, baby.
SPEAKER_04LLC. Want to thank them for the sponsorship they've provided. Um so you know we're only gonna have a few more Mondays together because Money Girl will be changing formats in uh in February. We'll be coming to you in a slightly different format on YouTube. MSFB already has a station there, and that is because Blog Talk Radio is shutting down. All good things must come to an end. Now, for those of you who have read the title, we are talking about no spend November and we're doing a check-in. Money Girl did not do good this week. Just so you know. There were things that magically leapt into the cart at Costco. Including including the Christmas-shaped chicken nuggets. There are ornaments and moose and stars and candy canes. Still the same dyno okay, they're not dino shaped, they're holiday-shaped nugs, okay? Was not planned for, was not on the list. The list consisted of French fried onions. Okay. The dino nugs were not on the list. Trying to walk into Costco with three things. Where did money go wrong? Where did Money Girl go wrong? Money girl grabbed a cart. Grabbing a cart in Costco means now you have all this extra room to put things you don't have to carry in your hands and lug through the store and go, oh come on, really. No. So if you walk into Costco with a list and it only has two or three things, do not pick up a cart.
SPEAKER_05Do not.
SPEAKER_04Now just as a reminder, this coming up Thursday is not Thanksgiving. It is the following Thursday. But apparently there were some deals that were too good for my bro to pass up. So Broham went and bought a 15-pound turkey with nowhere to put it. So that sucker is going in with some dry eyes in a cooler. We are taping that thing shut until next week. Next Sunday when we're gonna like put it out and start let it start to thaw in the fridge. Okay. So it's no spend November. The other thing that was not on Money Girl's list per se was the three-pound bag of cranberries. Yes, it was four dollars. Okay. And there are some things that Money Girl does make with cranberries, one of which Don't judge me, one of which is to my ex-husband who is having a tough time of it. And so hopefully this will bring him some happy associations. Um as things are not going particularly well for himself or wife for. So I truly hope that it will bring him some joy. Because we are coming up, we are finishing No Spend November, and by the way, just as a check-in, bla blah. It is no spend November, but did you remember to eat today? Did you remember to drink water? MG's already ahead of the game. Yes, MG has taken her there there are certain things that have been prescribed to her by her doctor. Yes, I have taken those. No, they're not antidepressants. As a matter of fact, a lot of them are OTC. And by that I mean over the counter. Because the Santa Anwins have been horrendous. So they are antihistamines, two of them. Blood pressure medication, all those things that Money Girl needs to keep her healthy, happy, and coming to you every manic Monday. Well the world is spinning. Uh it has been two weeks since the United States elections. Australia is talking about their elections now being pushed from March. Gutless Albow.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, elbow you gutless. Yeah. Anthony Albanese is a gutless quit.
SPEAKER_04And while this is unfiltered adult radio, I need to kind of uh dial that a little bit because yeah, Skippy. Skippy says you're a quit Albow. So maybe that'll get some of our our Aussie listeners' ears perked up. Okay, so no sponge November. Remember we're talking about needs and not wants. So what are some of the needs? What are the things we need? Bread, milk. Uh did not do well with uh hitting the discount section if we bought a cake. Now granted it was six dollars and it was still frozen in the middle. That was still a cake that was not on the list. Not part of a meal plan. Uh not actually particularly good for MG. Uh or anyone that has dietary issues. So just wanted to take a second and remind you that blog talk that this particular radio blog, Money Girl, comes to every Monday night worth its own kind of manic. Thanks to the Splendidificus Foundation and MSFP WorldMusic.com. Because our goal is to help promote our local artists, to help build our community health by giving these artists grants. So I'm going to say go look at MSFP World Music. It will come up with our page. You can have a we're working on developing our UX, which is user experience. And there are ways that you can help support us. We're looking to do a residency New Year's Eve. Remember Money Girl says you should have open hands in November? Why? To give. Oh yeah. No Pew only hit us up for giving in December. No, actually This is where you start the November, right? And there's only twelve days left. Only twelve more days of no spend November. Alright, that's week and a little over a week and a half.
SPEAKER_05We can do this. Okay? We can do this. We're going to have to start learning to categorize our wants and needs.
SPEAKER_04Okay? So we can be grateful and we can be thankful that we actually have enough that we can start to prioritize. And as we are working on paying off and paying down our bills, because we're not doing crazy things. And I it's oh my heck. I keep telling boss, you know, that five dollar Starbucks that you get two or three times a day, and you're too broke to do other things. Maybe you need to rethink that. Sometimes Money Girl feels like she's just screaming into the void. Okay, that's what we're doing. Alright, so no spend November. Wants and needs. Or the chicken nuggets, or the holiday-shaped chicken nuggets, a want. Well considering that there's usually room in Money Girl's butt for chicken nugs. The answer is there is already space programmed in. The only thing that was different is the shapes instead of dino nugs. These are holiday nugs. So the answer is was it a want? Technically, no. Is it a need? Do I need to eat dino nugs? No, but there is something therapeutic about biting the head off the Stegosaurus.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04So how we doing on how's Money Girl doing on keeping to her budget? Actually, as far as spending on things that I will be needing for holiday dinners for both December uh for both November and December, Money Girl is actually on track. So what does our budget look like for November? Well, you know, we do have that big holiday meal coming up. For those of you who are in gardening zone 10B. Now if you have not gotten in your broccoli and your lettuce and things, now's the time to get it in the ground. Oh well, you only have a balcony? Guess what? You can put those things in little tiny pots and still grow them. And guess what? You just cut the outside leaves to get your salad and you still have it growing. So you can cut. It's called cut and come again. What about getting like the live ones in the little first off, organic lettuce. Organic lettuce in plastic. What about that is an oxymoron? And by that something that doesn't make sense. Things that should be diametrically opposed. Okay. Diametrically opposed. Organic. When we say organic, we mean first off the USDA has some pretty loose levels of organic. And by the way, if you want something that is truly organic, according to the USDA, it's a simple little circle. White on the top with green letters. The other half is green with white letters. That is the official USDA certified organic seal. Anything else like GMO verified? Guess what? It's all marketing. To get you to buy their product. Yeah. So I know Glenn Beck is talking about all these ultra-processed foods because certain cabinet people, certain cabinet, certain people with certain agendas want to control the food that is going into your mouth. How do you sub because you've heard Money Girl say this before. How do you keep a population subjugated? You control their food.
SPEAKER_05England is doing it.
SPEAKER_04He's for the environment because he wants you to eat meat that comes out of a food processing plant and not from a cow. He wants you to eat have this butter that comes from some chemist and Not from a cow. Oh cow farts are bad for the environment. Bubba. One, methane has a ten year persistence rate in the atmosphere, far shorter than carbon dioxide. Two, cows have been part of transhumans, which is human migration, human farming for ten thousand years. This is a very long-term relationship. Okay, it has lasted eons and is part of that base load carbon dioxide that people have been freaking out about. Oh, if you look down starts to go up since 1850, guess what? We have the same amount of cows that we had in 1850, maybe even less. That is already figured into that base load, that methane.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, don't be fooled. Okay. Yes, we want to have a lovely roast.
SPEAKER_04We want to have a lovely turkey. But people will tell you, oh, they spent so they it's it's 1,800 gallons of water to raise one pound of beef, to which Money Girl will say, Bowlone! I'll tell you why. It's yet another way to control you. Because those numbers have come from some people just making stuff stuff up out of whole cloth. There is no scientific basis. There are no, there is no going out and monitoring farms to actually go through and calculate. And as a matter of fact, most farms actually have become closed-through loop systems, meaning that there is little or no waste. That means that the manure that comes in on a dairy farm, the manure that comes from the back end of the cow is scraped into holding tanks, held, mixed, sprayed onto the field to provide nitrogen input for the growth of their feed, of their silage that they will use during the winter, when it is too cold to go out and graze, when they don't have access to total mixed rations. Okay, and yes, cows will eat Skittles. Okay, but that is a closed loop system. Those nitrogen inputs will not cause excess nitrogen runoff, unlike industrial commercial fertilizers. This is a way to prevent extra inputs and extra costs. And this is what the likes of Keir Starmer and Anthony Albanese and the World Economic Forum want to take away from you. They want to take away the same thing that has been feeding us for 10,000 years. Why? Because they are afraid.
SPEAKER_05Normally, money girl is not this um vocal.
SPEAKER_04But you need to understand because they are bit they are late, they are loading you up with heavy taxes to support bulloney programs, subsidized energy that they had taken out of the mix and replaced with other things. Energy. Okay, that's what Money Girl is gonna say. Do your own research. Check in with each other. Remember, we are working on learning to identify what we want. Now, granted, there have been some things besides cake that Money Girl has wanted to spend money on and 24-hour rule, right? Including some grow bags and some seeds. Money Girl has waited the 24 hours and likely will not be getting these particular grow bags. Why? Because there are existing, there is existing capacity that will make that particular purchase unnecessary. So then we will avoid that particular purchase. Or Money Girl can wait for 12 days, and if it's meant to be, it will be.
SPEAKER_05So we're checking in.
SPEAKER_04Now tried to talk people out of going to a favorite uh Italian place. Little hole in the wall. But this is how you know this hole in the wall is good because at five o'clock. And yeah, okay, granted, there's ten tables, so there's maybe 60, 70 people in the place. They're all every table is filled, people eating, people are enjoying. Now they do have two tables reserved for their to-go, and there were four or five to-go orders during that time as well. So I'm gonna say remember, another one of the rules, sorry, for no spend November, is if you can use OPM, like other people gonna take you out for a meal, other people's money, other people's meal plan, go for it. Now, this does not mean that because someone buys you a meal, they own you. That is not what that means.
SPEAKER_05Now, if it means Money Girl did break down and go back to the local fast casual place on the corner, had an amazing, amazing pastrami melt.
SPEAKER_04It's two slices of rye bread. It needed mustard though, to kind of brighten it up. Mustard and cheese on two pieces of pastra um two pieces of rye put together. It was delicious. Okay, so those are some things to think about. Next week, it is the building up too.
SPEAKER_05Next Thursday being Thanksgiving, right? 28th, 29th. Do not, do not.
SPEAKER_04We are doing Small Business Saturday. Money Girl will absolve you to do small business Saturday on the 20 on the 30th. Okay, find your favorite small business, find your favorite local family entrepreneur, give them your money. Do not do not give your give a big box store any more dollars. We are not we are opting out of Black Friday. That is part of no spend November. Okay, it means to opt out of being sucked into that whole. Oh, I need to go buy this. Oh, I need to go buy this. Remember, that's all part of no spend November is to start thinking about our needs. What we need to do. We need to pay our bills, which we're doing. We need to pay our credit cards, we need to pay our car payment, we need to pay our utilities, and we're working out ways to do that. And if we have a deficit, we're putting in a little bit extra here and there to keep to start paying that down. Our student loans, those are actually a need if we want to keep continuing our education, not a want. We are investing in ourselves. Now, I know there are people like Dave Ramsey and Charlie Kirk and a couple other people, Mike Rowe. Yes, I'm calling y'all out. But Money Girl will tell you the time you spend investing in yourself. Anyway, we'll talk more about this next week. Until then, no spend November and Money Girl catch on the flip side. Money girl, out of the business.
