Hallelujah. This morning we're starting a journey, and um, this journey is gonna take us um a great while. So for the next 20 weeks, we're gonna be going on the journey on what is known as the growth master class. Growth masterclass. Now, a book of the month for January is this book is called The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John C. Maxwell. The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John C. Maxwell. This is the book of the month for this month of January. Because in this year of kingdom growth, God wants us to grow holistically. That means every aspect of our life should grow. So for the next 20 weeks, I'm going to be taking you on a journey on growth masterclass. It's a masterclass where we're going to begin to look at different dimensions of growth as a result of some of the things that the book has shared with us. And I've asked that for as many of you that would like to be a part of this journey, we are making it special in such a way that you can register. So every Sunday when you come, make sure you register so that you are already a part of the journey. And at the end of the 20 weeks, as many that will be able to make sure that they are in every of the sessions, when you complete the entire session, uh, there's going to be a certificate of participation that will be given to you. And I have some special gifts for those people. And I pray that you will not miss all that God has in store for you. And through this journey, you will grow. Father, in the name of Jesus, we commit SBLS 2022 into your hands. As we commence this journey this morning, we begin with you. And we ask that no one is permitted to remain the same as a result of this journey. Let us journey to growth on all dimensions. In Jesus' mighty name we pray. And the saints of God shout a big amen. So this series is inspired by the book 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, written by John C. Maxwell. And that's why we also recommend the book to you as the book of the month for this month of January. So I welcome everyone of you. It's a brand new year, and I believe that this year you will grow on every side. Because the plan of God is for us to grow on every side, and that will be your testimony in Jesus' name. Now, growth in any aspect of life is not automatic. Growth in any aspect of life is not automatic. People don't automatically grow. People don't automatically grow. So you can't just think that you will just grow just because you are alive. People don't automatically grow. Growth is not automatic. Growth is a function of a lot of things being done the way it's supposed to be done. You don't need a plan to die, but you need a plan to grow. Because even the Bible says we die daily. We do what? We die daily. So you don't need a plan to die, but you need a plan to grow. You don't need a plan to die, but you need a plan to grow. So there are a lot of people that want different aspects of their lives to increase, improve. They want to succeed in their marriage, they want to succeed in their career, they want to succeed in their finances, they want to succeed in their ministry. Yet they are not ready to do what needs to be done to see it happen. They just think that things will automatically grow. It doesn't work like that. Hello? In order for things to grow, you must grow. In order for things to grow, you must grow. Because in everything you do, you do, you are involved. In everything you do, you are involved. You are involved in your relationship. You are involved in your career. You are involved in your life. So in every aspect of your life where you expect results, you are there. You are the constant in everything. So if anything you do must grow, you must grow. For what you do to grow. You, ever say you. You, you, you, you. So you are very, very important. You are very, very important. So for things to get better, you have to get better. For things to get better, you have to get better. You have to be deliberate. You have to be intentional. You have to be strategic, and you have to be consistent about your personal growth and development. Repeat after me. Deliberate, intentional, strategic and consistent. Deliberate, intentional, strategic and consistent. So you want to grow, you want to develop, you have to be deliberate about it. You have to be intentional about it. You have to be strategic about it. And you have to be consistent about it. So you don't just wake up and think, oh, everything will just work, you know, it's just you know, uh things work together for good. We just quote scriptures without understanding that uh there are many factors that are involved. Hello. Many people have been hoping for a better life, and they have never had a better life. You know why? Hope is not a strategy. Hope is not a strategy. I had an Insta-Live session yesterday where people from different parts of the world connected as I was talking to them about how to have a happy new year. How to have a happy new year. And then we had some question and answer sessions, and people were asking all kinds of questions. And someone had asked a question during the session that what do you do when all your family members have lost hope in you and nobody believes in you? I say, don't lose hope in you. If they lose hope in you, that is their business. You must not lose hope in you. That's the most important thing. Hoping that people will change is deception. You change, leave them to their life. You are not in control of their life. You change. Hope is not a strategy. Hoping that things will get better will not make it better. Your hope must translate into instruction, obedience, and action. Your hope must move you to God. What must I do to see the change that I desire? And God will say, Do this, and you do it. Then change will come. Hello, it's not by hoping. I hope, I hope. No, no, no. I wish, I wish, I wish. It's not by wish. Don't hope to have a better year or a better life. Do something about it. Hello. So it is my hope and my desire that as we go on this journey, you will grow. But that hope and desire did not stop in my heart. It translated into study, it translated into a curriculum, it translated into PowerPoint. It translated into 20 weeks of taking you from step to step so that my hope for you will come to pass. So I don't just hope that your life will change. I'm doing something so that my hope will become a reality. And not too long from now, I say, Ah, sir, thank you. You know, doing that series, you said something. I went to my office, I did this. Now they have promoted me. You know, that is what it's not just hope. Hope is not a strategy. There must be something attached to the hope for the result to come, and that's why we're here. So within the next 20 weeks, I welcome you to the most amazing 20 weeks of your life. Because every week, every class, every session, we take you to another level of growth. Now, I've specifically asked that we try to keep a register for this particular session so that we will know how many people really attended. Because I know that some of you that choose to disobey will come to meet me sometime in the course of this year and say, Pastor, this, and I will ask you, Were you in the growth session? And you will say, No, I'll now tell you. Sorry, go back, get the book, read it, do a summary, go and buy the 20 tape, listen to it, summarize it. When you finish, come back and see me. I was I was there when the book was launched in Africa. I was the director for John Maxwell Africa. I was the West African coordinator from 2013 all the way to 2016. I was the West African coordinator for John Maxwell Company Africa. And um in 2013, when the book was launched in Africa, I was there. That's when I entered Private Jet for the first time. I was there myself, John Maxwell. We traveled to many countries in Africa, different cities, fly around because the School of Money book was also launched. When his book we launched the two books together, this book and School of Money was launched together um in 2013 in South Africa. And um I spoke, you know, if you know I was on TBN, we're all over, we were TBN for like six months. So it's it was just an amazing open door for me as a person, increased my profile, took my book to another level, then became a consultant to the South African country, and the money they paid me from South Africa is what we had that money to that. I used to buy my first house in London. Hello. So it's not uh they paid good money. I say, babe, this one we must tie it down. Tie it down, this kind of money, tie it down. Hello. So I I know what this book can do in your life. I was there live. I was there. We went around different countries, different places, just up in to race people. So make sure you get um get this book. It will really be a blessing to you. So look at the different areas we're going to cover because today we're just laying foundation. We're gonna look at the following things. Number one, we need to grow. Number two, the law of intentionality, number three, the eight growth gaps. Number four, the law of awareness. Number five, the three kinds of people in life direction. Number six, the law of the mirror. Number seven, ten steps to building your self-image. Next, we're looking at the law of reflection. Then we'll look at the 10 personal awareness questions. We look at the law of consistency, the four growth questions, the why tests, the law of environment, the six choices for growth, the law of design, the eight regrets, the four life lessons, building systems for growth, the law of pain, how to turn your pain to gain, the law of ladder, five steps to character ladder, the law of the rubber band, the seven benefits of tension, the law of trade-offs, the nine truths about trade-offs, nine facts about change, five trade-offs that are worth making. We look at the law of curiosity, we looked at the seven facts about curiosity and curious people. We look at ten ways to cultivate curiosity. We look at the law of modeling, we looked at the seven pointers to a good mentor. We look at the law of expansion, we look at how to increase your thinking capacity, we'll look into how to increase your capacity for action, we'll look at the law of contribution, we'll look at the seven triggers to an attitude of contribution, and on and on and on and on and on. So it's going to be an amazing journey. Can you see the can you feel it already? It's gonna be heavy, I'm telling you. 20 weeks is gonna be heavy. So let's start. We all need to grow. That's what we're starting from. We all need to grow. Everybody, nobody is uh, you know, need to sell okay, you are finally arrived. No, we all need to grow now. Let's look at a few things, and maybe we'll just do these five or more, and then we'll stop for today. To discover your purpose in life, you need to grow in self-awareness. So let's start from that. We all need to grow. And one of the major things that will help you to grow in life is to be a purpose-driven person, to discover God's purpose in your life and live according to purpose. So we all need to grow. And one of the areas where we need to grow is in the area of our purpose. But you see, you cannot discover your purpose except you grow in self-awareness, and growing in self-awareness means that you are sensitive to yourself, you are a student of self. You are able to look at your life outside of your life. See, Pastor, which one is that one? How can I look at my life outside of my life? It means that you are the life, yet you live your life in one place and you come out of your life and look at your life and look at your life. You know, the way you look at somebody and say, Siam, look into the mirror and see yourself. Hello? That's what the prodigal son did, though. He sat down and he looked at himself. The way you will cancel people, cancel yourself. Look at your life. What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? What are the things that you can easily do? So instead of fishing in profitless river, you sit down and say, Come on, in the last five years of my life, this is the only area that is producing result, and yet I'm pursuing other areas. Let me sit down here. That self-awareness will help you to discover your purpose. Hello. I hope you know that there are some people that are very good at cooking, they cook well, people love their cooking, people even pay them for cooking. Yes, they say they are fashion designers. Um I'm a fashion designer, and they have gone to fashion school, they don't know the fashion blog, and nothing's working fashion, but the food area that they don't think anything of. But if you become self-aware, you're listening at this food though. Hello, one of the um kingdom vessels that was lifted by God is a woman called Ayo Mei Bokbe. She's a member of a Fountain of Life Church, one of the ministers there, and she started this Moimoy stuff, and with Moimoy, she was she became a global phenomenon, just with the same Nigerian Momoy. The same Momoy. Hello. But now the Mama is what she would normally do at home with her family, and then family will say, Ah, and then help me do more. So even married people, the family, please do more for us. So she would do Mama gift to them, and then and then one of the sisters was working in the banking sector, I believe, and say, Ah, this is your mommy said it's my sister that did it too. They started ordering mommy. And then when she had no job, nowhere to go, she was like, What do I do with my life? And the Holy Spirit said, That same moy moy, that you are always that is your destiny. Hello? And then with the little money she had, she started go to a children's school, we'll be selling more at the gates, a banker, or corporate lady, become mama seller. Hello? And from there, there was a meeting that was done, all this United Nations, you know, all this different meeting they do for women. And she was in that meeting, you know, where they talk to women, small business, supporting African women. And the Americans that came was talking about how people can start small, you know, no matter what, just start. And before you know it, you don't need money to start. And then she just lifted up and said, Yeah, it's true. This is what I do. I started with this small money, and now I just ah, they say, No, your story is very inspiring. You should be a lecturer here. It's people like you that will need to let other people know you can start small. Like play, like playo. Then one day she gets an email from Clinton Initiative inviting her to America to come and talk about mommy. She did not reply because it's too good to be true. King Lag B. Then she got a call after about four weeks. Hello, yeah. Is that how you make baby? Yeah, and we sent you an email. We we didn't get from you. We only do you get an email you say what I say email now about coming to America. He said, I'll be a demurphy. He said, No, I got it, but I didn't even say no, it's true. We needed to come clean in this year. To cut a long story short, she landed in America based on my you can Google her, she's on CNN, uh Al Jazeera everywhere. Mommy, she has opened a restaurant now, somewhere in that uh hello, hello, and then when she finally got to the meeting, they invited her to come to the stage, and she landed on the stage all the way from local Nigeria with mummy, and the next thing that happens, here comes President Clinton. Ah, amen. So you're welcome. Ah, you are very you are our special guest. We are glad to have you. How was your trip from Nigeria? So we're expecting our special guest to come in right now. And who is the special guest? Obama. And then she's sitting down there, moi moy, with two American presidents. But what took her to that purpose? Awareness to just become aware. Okay, but no, moi, you knew this year you will not fish in unprofitable water. Because let me tell you something, it's a prayer I've been praying for you because God told me many of you have been saying this for the past. What you have been doing is not what you should be doing. You have just been wasting your life. So, whatever you have been doing that is not working, it's time to readjust. Don't let anybody tell you they know you about that. So if they have known you for makeup, you are no more doing makeup now. They say you are in fashion, they don't tie yourself to what is not producing 2022. Grow out of an expired career, grow out of an expired trade and face your destiny. Number two, to become a better human being, you need to grow in character. To become a better human being, you need to grow in character. We all need to grow, so we are looking at different areas. So if you think that you have already discovered purpose, character, uncle, show niwa. So to become a better human being, you need to grow in character. You can be a billionaire with a bad character. Hello? You can be somebody that has discovered destiny and you are fulfilling the purpose of God, but your character is bad. So you want to be a better human being, grow in character. Many years ago, we had a man of God, very awesome man of God. I've been around now. This year we'll make it, is it 32 or 33 years? We have seen all kinds. People that are anointed with the top receive it. You touch their shoe, everybody will be falling down. We have seen all kinds, lake way. They have come and gone. Even in this demo, when the when we were watching the video in 9 VG, I was like, ah, God. They saw the crossover and said, Lord, thank you. When we came here, up Porta Bambi, 26 years ago, when I came here as a young boy, there were people I went to for canceling when I came here. They are no more in ministry. That I went to to say, bless you, sir. You know, I just God called me. My church is here. I see that you are here before us. Just came to see you. So, what advice can you give a young man in ministry? You know, they are not in ministry today. They are not in ministry. We met them here. Hello? Hello. So this man was so anointed that his ministry was about children. And when you hear testimony, if you don't have a child, you enter that place. Twins, triplets. Some people just have the anointing like that. I don't know. God just gives up the special grace. What you are struggling, I'm telling you, some people is miracles. All this one they once they enter here now, they don't even need to pray. They just even before they start preaching. I have a friend like that. If you just come now, oh, praise God. When you invite him to say, Let's invite one of God as he comes. I want to thank. For my friend. Oh, hallelujah. Um, let's start with some miracles. If you are deaf, stand up. And that's Papa Paneo. No, he doesn't need any fasting or prayer. It's just a gift. Special brilliant call. Area one here. Hello. This man had it like so. My friend invited me. He used to use the airport hotel in those days. Crowd. Say, ah, let's go. This man, let's say, ah, he's a good man. At least get to know him. I said, okay. So I went there. We were all sitting down, and as this man was on the altar, since we're going out, the sound was just not working well. And should he put me? He's a man of God. Your body was, you know, the kind of thing you only hear in African magic. Shabai Shuly Raza. True life story. True life story. No, no. It was causing the technical people. Where I sat down, I cranked as so I told my father say, Ah no, we uh anger Moses. This is Moses' anger on danger. I told him, I said, This is a Moses anger. He said, No, I said, Look, I used to be there. I know we know ourselves. Drunkers, no drunkards. Have you? I say, if you know the kind of anger I had before. Many of you met a better pastor. Lumideo. If you have met Pastor Lumi, they should point many of you came to me to Lumide Manuel. When I start, ah then Pastor Abraham, the one that will be oh dear, Pastor, relax. Pastor Muni. When the madness starts, powerful preacher. You know I'm a powerful preacher now. When I finish teaching like this, people will marry. Okay, ah, this is too much. But when the madness starts, I'm telling you, you need to grow in character on Monday money. People like Pastor Charles, very wonderful man. Bless you, sir. One day we're doing what me. I don't even know the meeting we're doing. One girl was talking about money. Ah, and you see that inside church. I said they should carry her and throw her away. Will you disobey man of God? They were confused. Should we obey? Should we not obey? And many of you didn't miss that one. Sit down there. What am I saying? That ministry is no more. That ministry is no more. This man was so anointed, he built a 8,000 seater church. I was there in the dedication. In one day, he ordained 400 pastors. If I even mention his name, you will know him. He said, by what? He's no more in ministry. Character me. Hello? So you want to be a better human being? You need to grow in character. Nobody is arguing that you are rich. Nobody is arguing that you are anointed. Do you have character? Number three, to advance in your career, you need to grow in your skills. To advance in your career, you need to grow in your skills. So growth masterclass is holistic growth. Grow in your skills. You cannot be working in the same department for six years and producing the same result and you're expecting promotion. They have not increased salary. Have you increased productivity? They have not increased salary. Have you increased efficiency? If the same headache I had is the same headache I'm having, why should I consider improving you? What brings salary increments is not even you. There is there are people, even this money, I see as my wife. They come. Ah, we say we wanted to increase this guy's salary. Have we? He said, Ah, we have done it. See, you want to increase it. I say, I'm feeling it again. The guy is too much. This money. See, we just did it. But there are some people, even if they ask for increment, my spirits will not move. Nothing will move. If you are not reducing my headache, why will I think of increasing your when I'm thinking of looking for your alternative? Somebody they want to sack is now asking for increment. Free flow near my hope. Strategically, diplomatically as well. Well, no problem, you know. You are so valuable that we cannot afford to keep somebody like you without really paying you your true work. So please just resign so that you know you can get a better job, so that we're not tie down your destiny. I'm a package. So to advance in your career, growing your skill, stop asking for increment in salary, become more efficient, become more productive. Increase will come because you will be the one that will do what needs to be done. Hello. One of the companies that Amcon took over was a company where one of my mentees is a consultant. And he was sharing this story with me of one of the people that were there. The guy was trying to train everybody to do things they would not do. The guy started his own business. They were working together as consultant, and it was still a staff in that organization. And when Amcon took over and they brought a new management, they let everybody go. And everybody was complaining. What are we going to do? The guy had tried to resign three times. They didn't accept. So when they let everybody go, including him, oh shockwell. He was so happy. So everybody was coming. So when he came to the office, they thought he was coming to beg like every other person. So he said, he said, no, no, no, I didn't come here to beg. I'm so happy. That I finally have because I've been telling them, you see, the problem is that you will still need me. Because many of the things that make this place to run, I'm the only one that do it. I've tried to train them. I've looked at my memo. I've written, nobody's ready to learn. So I just want to give you my proposal. Because I'm going to be consulting for you. They say, What do you mean? You know this funny now. He said, No, I just want this my proposal, this is my number, so that when you want to reach me, I didn't come here to beg you are the one that will need me. They called him two months later. He became a consultant to a company where it was a salary and he's earning millions on them. Hello. If you are so valuable, be indispensable. Hello? Let me be afraid of you going. If you say you want to go, let me be negotiating like labor. Okay, what do you want me to pay? Not if you say you're going out, praise God. No problem. God bless you. To become a better spouse or a better parent, you need to grow in relationship. To become a better spouse or a better parent, you need to do what? Grow in. Grow in what? We deal more with that. Then to become financially free, you need to grow in financial education. To become financially free, you need to do what? You need to grow in financial education. And then to enrich your soul, you need to grow spiritually. To enrich your soul, you need to grow spiritually. So simply put, as we wrap up today, we all need to grow. Now, as we close for today, listen to this, and it's very, very important. The specifics of our growth journey is unique to us. It's unique to us. And it differs from person to person. But the principles and the laws of growth are the same. The specific is unique. You may need to grow in your career. Me, I'm not in that career. Maybe me, I'm in business or me, I'm in ministry. You may need to grow relationally, but you are a single person, so your relational growth may be to grow, get married, me, I'm already married with children. So our specifics are different. But you see, the principles and the laws of growth are the same and can be applied to every aspect of life. Do you understand that? So, beginning from next week's Sunday, we are now going to begin to explore the laws of growth. Hello? We're not going to pick the laws one after the other and begin to look at different aspects. But today, the message is simple. We all need to grow. So you are going to pray just one simple prayer. Lord, every area of my life that requires growth, empower me to grow this year. Pray. That's a prayer. Every area of my life that requires growth, Lord, empower me to grow this year. Every area of my life that requires growth. Lord, empower me to grow this year. For every area of my life that requires growth, empower me to grow this year. Thank you, Lord. Empower me to grow. Empower me to grow. Empower me to grow. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. People of God, I want to pray for you. This is our first Sunday service this year. I want to bless your finances. So if you are here today, you have your tithe. Can you please rise up with your tithes and everybody package your offering and get ready to give? I want to bless your finances. If you are the title this morning, rise up with your tithes. If you've made any commitment for the crusade or you took an envelope on Sunday for the anniversary, you can also lay it down right now. Lift up your tithes if you're a titan. Father, in the name of Jesus, we bring our tithes and every title before you this morning. And we ask for your supernatural grace to rest upon every giver and let there be supernatural results in the name of Jesus. Let this year be supernatural in every dimension and let faithfulness be rewarded in a new dimension. In Jesus' mighty name we pray. Lift up your offering, everyone, as we pray, lift it up to God. Lord, I ask your blessings upon the finances of your people. Lord, financially, let there be astronomical goals in the name of Jesus Christ. Let there be exponential growth in the name of Jesus. I declare and I decree a quantum leap in the results of your people. Lord, as they go into the marketplace, let the portion that belongs to them be delivered in the name of Jesus. Lord, I place a demand upon the budget of Nigeria. I place a demand upon the budget of Lagos State. Every portion that belongs to your people in the national economy, in the state economy, in the global economy, let there be a release. That your people will enter a new realm of financial rest. Lord, we give you praise because the needs of your kingdom are myth. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. People of God, God has instructed us, and we have told you over and over again get three different documents, things that you want God to do in your life, things that God has promised to do in your life, and the people that you want God to say, package your first fruits and make sure you put the seed in the ground. And as you honor God, God will honor you. If you can't wait for the second service, I'm starting a series planted to flourish.
