Matt Caruso just did something only one other shooter has done in PRS Pro Series history — he cleaned an entire match.

And he did it at Silent Night.

In Episode 25, Matt joins us after winning Silent Night for the second year in a row, this time without dropping a single shot. We break down what it's like shooting a PRS match in the dark, the gear he used, how he handled changing wind conditions, and the stressful final shots that completed the perfect match.

We also get into the current PRS standings, the upcoming World Championship, and bring Matt Steiner on to preview the Petersen Cartridge Challenge at MKM and make our picks for the weekend.

Plus, we're apparently becoming the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives of PRS, so we get into some of the best food stops we've found while traveling to matches across the country.

In this episode:
• Matt Caruso's perfect Silent Night performance
• Back-to-back Silent Night wins
• What it's like shooting PRS at night
• The final shots of a clean PRS match
• Night match gear, optics and illumination
• PRS season standings

SPEAKER_01

All right, welcome back. Episode 25, I think it is. Man, we're uh deep into the Pro Series schedule. And uh this is a great one. We got Crusoe comes on, uh just one silent night. We got Beamer on uh as a co-host and Matt Steiner to talk about MKM, make some picks with us.

SPEAKER_02

And is this the PRS podcast, or are we talking about the food at PRS matches now? So stay tuned and listen to the diners, drive-ins, and dives that you gotta hit when you're traveling across the country and shooting PRS matches.

SPEAKER_00

And let's talk about the Peterson Cartridge Challenge uh in traditional MKM fashion. Make sure you bring your rain gear and your A game because you're gonna need it this weekend.

SPEAKER_04

We're gonna talk about uh the match that I just won and cleaned. And uh, if you stick around at the end of the episode and you're interested in some online training, CruiserPrecision.com has some online training, and I'm offering a 20% discount code that Ken is gonna give you at the end of the episode.

SPEAKER_02

Here we are, guys. Hi, hi Kenny. Hey, sorry, I've been absent for a few weeks. I know that probably the the listeners are very disappointed and uh been bored to tears without me, but we're back now.

SPEAKER_01

Heck yeah, man. It's good to have you back on the show. Uh it's fun, it's fun to always chatting with you. Um I I know you're a couple episodes behind, and this is a tough one to get caught up on, too, because it's like every week and there's an hour or two or whatever. Um, one of the things I wanted to give a report on, and this is for everybody that uh listened in last week. Um uh Keith Baker on his way out to Pancake Lake in Manitoba. Actually, uh he's from Ohio, but he said he stopped in Wisconsin for breakfast at a place called AJ Pancake House in Lodi, Wisconsin. So he mentioned that last week, and he's like, seriously, it's the best breakfast I've ever had. Like he's raving about this on the show. I'm like, okay. So we had uh we'd already had this trip planned that was like past Lodi, so about two hours away from here. It's Wisconsin Dells, it's a big water park, yeah. So we took a camper over there, camp for the weekend, and then um yesterday, Misty's like, well, what time do you want to get up and get out of here in the morning? I'm like, I want to stop on the way home at this pancake place that uh that Keith Baker talked about. If you know Keith, he probably is a foodie, you know? It was seriously the best breakfast I've ever had. And I ordered the the exact same thing that Keith, I texted with Keith last night, and I said, Hey, I'm stopping there in the morning. What did you get? And it was uh let me let me bring it up. I'm gonna make a post on my Facebook page about it. Um, it was a phenomenal meal. That big of a deal, huh? Dude, and uh here's the thing it was an almond with mushrooms, pepper, onion, ham, bacon, uh, with a side of uh side of bacon. Seems pretty generic, right? Like sure, but the way he described it was on par. He's like, dude, the vegetables were like cooked perfect, like any of the cheese in the almond was like unbelievably perfect. Like, I can't, it's tough to describe. We met the owners. Um, he even talked about how his evolution of omelets and stuff like that. And he's like, I'm just I keep perfecting it, you know, when to add the cheese, when to add the veggies, you know, but it seems like it's getting pretty good. It was phenomenal. The pancakes were phenomenal. It came with the side of pancakes. They have like uh, I don't know. I'm gonna make a post about it. Um, but I want to bring this topic into the show.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay, like match trip trip food when you're going to a match.

SPEAKER_01

And I don't necessarily want to. I think it does, right?

SPEAKER_02

Like I mean, it's part of the part of the experience. I mean, we kind of treat these matches as like a getaway for the weekend type of a deal. 100% it is.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And and the last thing I want to hear about is Texas Roadhouse. But I feel like 90% of this community is like, you know, they go to you know, Friday, Friday check-in, you know, take care of business, go check in at the hotel, you know, take care of stuff at the range, then go to the hotel, and then they go to Texas Roadhouse if there's one nearby.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Isn't that this community?

SPEAKER_02

I mean, yeah. Yeah. I mean, I I've I've definitely been to a lot of Texas Roadhouses on the only time I go to Texas Roadhouse. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Do you ever go to Texas Roadhouse? Just, you know, there in Wichita, like, oh, it's Friday night.

SPEAKER_02

I do. Yeah. Yeah. Occasionally. Like we the Texas Roadhouse, it's you know, 10 minutes from my house. It's like really good. It's super, super good one. So are they all super good? I don't, I mean, I don't know. I I feel like the one that's uh by my house, like it's always packed. Like always. It's been open, and it's it's been open for 20 years, and every single night it's it's like packed. So I I think it in particular is is a is a good one. And uh like because we have two we have two in town. Okay. And the one that's on my side of town on the west side is is always super busy, but the one on the east side, not not so much. Not so much. So I think it let me let me I think the road crew you know it matters, it affects things.

SPEAKER_01

So let me ask this. If you're going somewhere for a uh because like Texas Roadhouse steak, you know what you're gonna get. And it's sure it's decent, right? Sure. But if you if you wanted to treat yourself to a really good steak, are you gonna go on too? No, no, like Wichita's. I mean, you you gotta have good steakhouses. Oh yeah, we do.

SPEAKER_02

We do. Yeah, uh Greg Bell uh came through town uh a few weeks back, stayed the night, stayed the night with me, and uh we went to uh this local place called KVH. It's like a KVH. Yeah, kind of like a kind of uh upper upper scale steakhouse, and it is so it's so good. What'd you get? Uh what did I get? Uh I think I got a Wagyu strip steak or something like that. Oh my gosh. And it was it was ridiculous.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think you can get Wagyu at at uh Roadhouse, can you? I don't think so.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, yeah. Yeah, center lines. Yeah. Strip. It wasn't Wagyu, actually. It was just it was a it was a prime strip, is what I got. I was just wasn't in the mood for a ribeye for once, and it was uh but it was it was phenomenal. And their sides are outrageous at this place.

SPEAKER_01

They have uh these thought you can eat bread.

SPEAKER_02

Uh no, I don't think so. But uh we they have these uh deviled eggs for an appetizer there. They're sure they're ridiculous, come with like a little thinly sliced jalapeno in them. Oh, that doesn't they're like Chipotle uh deviled eggs.

SPEAKER_01

You want to be at home with your own porcelain the next day for sure.

SPEAKER_02

Not a problem. I think they they did it right. I didn't had no no after effects to report.

SPEAKER_01

Well, let me ask you this. Uh you've traveled for some matches. Um actually I have I I have a poison mind. Best best like food you've had surrounding a match.

SPEAKER_02

Well, it's the same place that you have in mind.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I bet it is. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but in uh in in the Palisade, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Fidel's coaching.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Fidel's, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I think that's my favorite for sure. Um, but the I agree. I've had some good, some really like uh like for Cole Canyon every year. I always go to uh Bruno's, it's a pizza place. Yeah, really good pizza and really good wings there, right? Raton. Um yeah, and Raton. Yeah, that one's that one's always good. Uh where else have been some good ones? I've had some good ones. It's hard to br hard to call them up from memory, but Fidel's is probably the number one. We had a lot of we had some really good meals and and really fun times there too.

SPEAKER_01

We did. Yeah, spicy margaritas and oh yeah, their cocktails were awesome. Um and then and street tacos and everything there. Oh yeah. But uh for those listening, and if and if you don't mind, um drop a couple comments. If you can do that on YouTube, that's gonna be easier for me to respond. Um maybe if you're listening on Spotify or you know the other stuff, but if you can drop a comment on YouTube, I'm I'm interested, and and please structure it this way. Uh, this match, uh, this city, this restaurant. That I think that's the best way to do it. And uh we'll see where this goes. But like Caruso is gonna come on here in a few minutes.

SPEAKER_02

I I I want to ask him, you know, like yeah, there's the there's a couple of decent restaurants around uh Chicashay. Yeah, Chickashay. Yeah, around a couple more.

SPEAKER_01

You have to go up the up to the Oklahoma City area.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean there's lots of good places to eat in Oklahoma City, but there's there's some okay, there's like some decent places around Chickache that I've found before.

SPEAKER_01

Uh trying to remember what uh shady to me. I don't know. I think that's it's nothing against Chick, yeah, Chickashay. I think it's Justin Watts that gives me that feeling all the time.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, I mean, it is a night match, so it is kind of shady.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's true. Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. Caruso, I'm sure we'll talk all about it, but he went on. So I guess this is the the second ever uh clean pro series match.

SPEAKER_01

Second one. First one was 2023 um Lope old Steel Classic in uh Texas PM.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_01

This January match there. I actually was at that match. Uh Austin Bushman. Austin Bushman cleaned it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Crusoe. I know I know last year when he won it, he didn't he was single digits on what he dropped last year. I'm sure it'll tell us, but two or three.

SPEAKER_01

Actually, um couple things I want to point out. Um, and every week we're in development with impact scoring and and uh and what's going on here. So um let's take a look. Um uh where is he here? Career so yeah. Is he not in the top? He's not in the top. Uh well here, let's just expand 100. He'll be in the top 100. There you go. He's 24. 24. Yeah, so we can click on him way down there. Yep. Um, we now have this squad two territory. Well, yeah, for sure. He'll he'll gain some, he'll probably go to MPA too and do well there. But um, so if you click on somebody's profile, you can look at current season, or we have data for Caruso going back all the way to 2019. Nice. So you can let's see how bad he was back then.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I think uh still top everything he shot.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, those are one day. If I remember right. If I remember right, I think his first Pro Series match, I believe I've heard him say, was uh uh the grind.

SPEAKER_01

Let's see here. Yeah, pro series open 16. Yeah, well, there was a couple matches, so no, he started February 8th. Okay, and the finale, yeah, that year was December 12th at Caldboar.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Crazy. But yeah, so MPA finale finished.

SPEAKER_02

That was that was the blizzard year. That was single-handedly the least enjoyable match I've ever had in my life. Not because of the match, but because of the weather.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was nice one day and then Blizzard day two. Yeah, yeah, on Sunday. It's horrible. Yeah. So, yeah, anyways, uh, we now have that drop down, so we can go back in time. Uh, I've been begging for that, and you know, the data was there.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, mighty spiffy, mighty spiffy update our yep, and then standings uh as well.

SPEAKER_01

If you going back to so uh going back to 2019, we have clean data. Before that, we got a bunch of data we got to get through yet. Um, so that's why it only goes back to 2019 so far. Um 18 down to 12 is there, will be up uploaded soon, but needs to be reformatted. No, no surprise there. 2019 was the first year of that black and yellow website that we just sunsetted. Um, that was the first year that Shannon and Julie took over and and then put put their structure on. So we have good data going all the way back to them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So pretty ifty.

SPEAKER_02

And we can all everybody can nerd out on the past like we like to do.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. And we do have actually let me a couple more things. So I'm gonna mention this every time. If you go to PRS Precision Rifle Series.com, win the ultimate match uh rifle build here, enter now. Please enter there. Um, this thing is uh just click on it, it's sick. Uh ACC Razor Gen 3. This is a black scope, too. It's not the not the bronze one. Wow. Fix it six long range comp toolkit. You got 1109s, uh, eight-pounder of Arget, uh, a uh trigger tech diamond, action from impact coming, uh modular sizing die for Dasher. A CRB blank, Manson Dasher Reamer, tossing in uh Hornaday Lock and Load Press, and then uh 500 pieces of Peterson brass.

SPEAKER_02

That is outstanding. So all you need is uh it's a so it's a it's a blank barrel. All you need is a gunsmith?

SPEAKER_01

All you need is a gunsmith, yeah. Outstanding. Um, which honestly we could yeah. Yeah, I'm not gonna speak for anybody, but uh we could probably have that squared away. But I gotta e even so that's that's fantastic. I got some Milwaukee tools here. I can I can probably chuck that up as happen.

SPEAKER_02

I don't see why that wouldn't be a problem.

SPEAKER_01

Right. But all right, anyway.

SPEAKER_02

Just uh just leave the leave the reamer a little bit loose in the chuck so that it kind of self-centers.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Yeah, you don't want to just drive it in. Um all right, so yeah, I was gonna point that out. And then also if you click on series, pursuit series is now up here. Fantastic. Yep, with schedule, so you can load all these. By the way, one of the things we are working on, um, so these kind of show up in this card format, left to right, top to bottom. Um, we are working on just a list, like it was shown before, too. Uh, you remember what the old the list of matches looked like, yeah. Yeah, so yeah. Um, yeah, there's all the pursuit matches for uh starting September of this year and going to uh the finale is May 15th and 17th, Palisade, Colorado. Uh uh right down the road from Fidel's uh at Cameo.

SPEAKER_02

Uh it sounds like a good time right there. May 15th. Yep. Is that the one we're gonna go to? We should. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

That teams, man. Yeah, yeah. And if you scroll down a little bit further, download full rule book. I know people have been uh asking for that. So uh there's a great picture coming up here.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I just look like I I think I saw some post one up on social media today. Kind of infographics about the rules and whatnot.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

For everybody. There you go.

SPEAKER_01

Chase Glenn for you, everybody. Presented by Science. What a handsome boy. Well, yeah, and a handsome silencer on there, too. Absolutely. Yep. So there's the rules, schedule, all that's up. Go check it out. Um I man, have you shot a hunter style match yet? I have not.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I I I have sort of, but not like a formal one. It was an impromptu one that Ryan Moltz put on at Twin Peaks a few years back.

SPEAKER_01

Very cool, yeah. But it was a ton of fun. Dude, now shooting teams, you know, with your buddy, like I I think is outstanding. Like, I I did a uh actually I would call it a rimfire impromptu match a couple weeks ago. It was on a Wednesday, it's when you know the crew could get together or whatever and do this. I was like, Yeah, I'll drive out there a couple hours away. Um, it was rim fire. Yeah, rim fire sounds freaking sweet. It dude, it was cool, it was super low-key. Um, and quiet, you know, like it just was it was all around really cool.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that that sounds fun.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

What was like the the max distance they set up targets for that?

SPEAKER_01

Uh we shot one that was almost 300 yards, and it was like a 12-inch plate at 300. I mean, yeah, it was a troop line, you know, near to far, whatever, one one shot each. And um, yeah, that I mean you could see them all, you know, so it was easy to easy to laze, easy to find. Um but yeah, at that distance, like, you know, I held like a mill, like, and I and I knew I was running out of time. So when I got to it, I'm like, put a mill on, put a mill and a half, send both shots, you know, like just pew, pew, and then hope for one to hit, and then like, yep, saw the indicator light come on. I'm like, I think that was my second shot. That's funny. Yeah, yeah, that's a good time. That's cool. Maybe we had to do that. Maybe uh maybe we plan to maybe shoot the one in cameo. That'd be cool. Then we are on it. Yeah, sure. Sure. You weren't here, you just committed to it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean, if you're if you're giving me all the gear to use, since I have none of it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. No, that's easy. That's easy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I got I got nothing appropriate for uh other than a tripod, I guess.

SPEAKER_01

We'll shoot for us. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, all good. Um, let's talk about um let's talk about silent night here, and then we'll bring Caruso on. Um, so it was Justin, it was Jeff Geary and myself that made picks, and Jeff and I both had no shows. So Mike Burtis was a no-show, Mark Peace is a no-show, and Danny Matthews, which is too bad. I like Danny Matthews used to shoot all the time, way back in the day, shot the barrel maker a couple times, all that. Um came up from down south. So I was really excited to pick him.

SPEAKER_02

But uh cable with the uh the win this year or this this match.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, Justin, uh Justin gets it because he didn't have any no-shows.

SPEAKER_02

Uh oh, is that is that the the ruling on the field for that? I'm bad.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and he had Tate Schreeder, which is known for being there and not being there. Um but what's funny is the his fifth pick was Seth Stevens, and that was his best pick.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um and then Austin O'Games was you know, it was the first pick, and then the second best. But um yeah, Matt Caruso was picked by Jeff. He finished first. Jeff also had Gage Caples, who was fourth, and Josh Showwalder that was ninth. Uh Nick Barnard 17th, but yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And unpicked. Yeah, sorry. No, no, no, go ahead. Uh unpicked was Austin Bushman, second. So he probably he wasn't signed up, was he? Was not signed up, yeah. And then Dustin Gellner deserves a shout out. Uh semi-pro Dustin Gellner. Let's he finished third. Let's take a look here. Um He's a good shooter. Uh okay. I don't I don't I'm not familiar with the name.

SPEAKER_02

Uh he's he's come to come to several of my matches.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Good shooter.

SPEAKER_01

So let's check out let's results. Let's click on Dustin Grown right here. Let's see. Uh results going back to 2019. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Uh so if if if he wasn't active, the the seasons wouldn't be there.

SPEAKER_01

I don't I know. That's a great question. Let's take a no, it looks like it's everybody.

SPEAKER_02

Looks like it just drops down.

SPEAKER_01

Oh man, it's gonna be a pain in the butt. Yeah, so 2023 had nothing. So assuming he's it started in 2024, Rawston training facility. 25. 25 he hit it pretty hard, it looks like. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, so there he is at 16th at box canyon last year. I think box canyon this year, too. 15th at Two Rivers.

SPEAKER_01

Um, yeah, 19th last year at Silent Knight. Shot pretty well. Um let's take a look at current season. Pro series open. Yeah, third. 17th at Clays. So I mean that top 20 at Clays is pretty strong.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. He's yeah, he's a solid shooter. So good for him. That's awful.

SPEAKER_01

Good for him. Yeah. Was he no, he did not. He didn't shoot the finale last year. But uh I bet he's gonna shoot the finale this year. Let's take uh let's take a peek at standings. Grellner, G-R-E-L-L, yeah. He's 92nd with 269.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

That's uh invite territory.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Awesome. All right. Well, shall we? Let's uh let me send him a text.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, let's get Mr. Caruro on.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there he is.

SPEAKER_02

Matthew.

SPEAKER_01

What's up, fellas? Hey buddy. Congrats. Welcome back.

SPEAKER_04

Thank you. How are you guys doing?

SPEAKER_02

Super duper now that you're here.

SPEAKER_04

Thanks, Beamer. Did you get any sleep this weekend, man? Uh Actually a little bit, a little bit, but I was surprised I felt pretty good for being up all night.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I mean, all right, so it's not really all night though, because Justin actually Justin called me Saturday afternoon. And I I still haven't really figured out what he was calling to talk about, but I could tell he hadn't slept much. Yeah. He seemed a little out of it.

SPEAKER_04

I I imagine he probably gets less sleep than the shooters.

SPEAKER_01

For sure. For sure. Yeah. So all right. So uh Friday, you go there, check in, right? Um kind of runs through the weekend, right? So um gun shooting well. What's going on?

SPEAKER_04

Um yeah, well, a gunshot great, but um definitely not my normal, my normal approach to it. I had I put a switch of scope around. Um, I don't know, just I usually have my stuff all together, but I had just like parts on my bench all the week. And I was like, oh, I'll put that together and I'll go check it a couple times before the match, and then Thursday night hit, and I'm like, oh gosh, okay. So I I put the scope on and uh put the can on, hadn't shot a can in in however long. I don't know. I don't think it's probably yeah. I might have shot like a single club match just to try it because everyone's trying to get me to switch to a suppressor, right? Um as they should. I like it. I like it. I'm I'm siffing the Kool-Aid, but I'm not fully committing it.

SPEAKER_02

Just shoot it, shoot, shoot the Kool-Aid. Right down, right down the gullet.

SPEAKER_04

But uh yeah, so I I kind of put all that together and I think I got a couple rounds off uh local before I headed out of town. But I I don't like ever doing that and just kind of you know relying on one little piece of data, but but it worked great.

SPEAKER_02

Um what um suppressor, what were you shooting this weekend? Kind of run uh the give us a real rundown.

SPEAKER_04

Uh yeah, it's the Magnus, uh the Thunder Beast Magnus. All right. Yeah, the the K the K, the short one. That one right there. What whatever that is with the the Recoil X um angled break on it, the newer one. So and it's a great combo. I mean, I've shot a couple, couple cans just with that kind of same setup, and they're all they're all really good. They're all getting really close to that true parallel with uh with a regular break. They're not quite there. I don't know if they ever will, but it's it's close enough that it it's it's really good. I liked it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Were you running uh a dasher this weekend?

SPEAKER_04

BRA.

SPEAKER_02

BRA. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Nice shooting, bruh.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, thanks, brah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So I checked zero when we got there, and um, I think we started pretty early in the, you know, I got a 10:30, 11 o'clock in the morning, and yeah, just hit a couple of things up, check data, and um, you know, really just walked around. I mean, everything there's kind of the same, you know, nothing, nothing too different, but um, you know, you it really does help to kind of like look around, and I'm not that's not my home range, so it helps to look around a little bit and just kind of get your bearings because you know once the lights go out, you don't have all the detail, but you at least kind of know the span, you know. Um so we did a little playing around before we left in the afternoon, tried to try to eat lunch and take a little nap. And uh I usually don't nap, but I got a couple hours and I think that makes a difference.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, last time I shot that match, I was freaking wiped the the end the end of uh day one. Yeah, what year was that? Uh like 2010 or something. That's been a while. No, no, I think it was uh I think it was 24, I think was the last time I shot it. Yeah, yeah, I think I shot decent, but but um man, I was so tired at the end of the because back in the day when I used to shoot the Silent Night match, I was always on third shift. So I was like, I'd show up and shoot the match, and it was like I had superpowers over everybody.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_02

That's the schedule that I was just all on. Yeah. But uh the last time I shot it as a first shifter, I was like, uh I'm completely exhausted on Ron Burgundy, San Diego, whatever.

SPEAKER_04

It's gotten better. I think the last uh the last I think I've shot it maybe three years now, and each year we've finished slightly earlier from the first time I shot it, maybe in 20, maybe it was 24. And then 25, I think was a pretty long couple of nights, but then this year it definitely definitely was easier on the schedule.

SPEAKER_02

That's good. But good deal. Yeah, so you've won this thing two years in a row now. Twice now, back to back. Yeah, yeah, it's kind of cool because I waited. And and you sorry to interrupt. Go ahead. You managed to clean it this year. Yes, you didn't drop a single shot. How many shots did you drop last year? Uh two last year. Two. Are you okay? Kenneth, pull up the stats. Are you on a are you on a three-year run of being in and still in three single digits for this match? I'm curious. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I can't remember what I did the first the first match. I did okay.

SPEAKER_01

Uh let's see. Does it uh I gotta put in silent night. Let's see.

SPEAKER_04

Let's test the archives of the new system.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. So you've been you've been looking around. Thank you. Uh yeah, that one. And then 20. This is it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

24.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. We'll see if that we'll see if that was the year that uh you shot it, Beamer.

SPEAKER_02

I think it was.

SPEAKER_01

Morgan King, yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think that this was that was that I believe that match. I think I tied for fifth that year. No.

SPEAKER_01

No, neither one of you guys are in there. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I was there. No, I I'm pretty sure I was there because I remember watching uh oh let's look at 23.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe it was the year before. You took a year off. Maybe 23.

SPEAKER_04

The year I was there, Tony Gore won it.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. You were eighth. You were eighth. Uh yeah, and Tony Gore.

SPEAKER_04

16 that first year. I really sucked it up.

SPEAKER_02

I guess maybe it's been longer than I thought since I shot it too, because I'm not in that one either. Unless I whatever.

SPEAKER_01

23 doesn't matter. 23 is the first year because I actually shot there in 22 when it was the day of match. Um all right.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's it was cool. It's it's a lot of fun. I definitely uh back to back is I've never cleaned a match, and that's super cool by itself, but then um I haven't ever won back-to-back locations. Um I've won I've won a couple places twice, but not not sequentially. I mean, I don't know, I didn't even think about that, but that's that's kind of fun, I guess.

SPEAKER_01

What do you kind of a big deal now? Do you remember last year what stages you started on? Because you dropped two on back-to-back stages last year. Was it right off the bat or right at the end?

SPEAKER_04

I think it was that's a hard thing to remember. I don't know. I think I don't think it was at the very beginning.

SPEAKER_02

I think it was the year. So shooting it this year. Squad nine. So assuming you started on he I think he usually random starts the squad, so damn it. Yeah. So shooting it this year, cleaning it, obviously, outstanding. Like, how many shots do you think actually sketched you out? Like, how many were you actually worried about missing?

SPEAKER_04

Surprisingly, I no, no. I I want to sound that cool, but uh truthfully, I think I can think of several targets that uh you know you kind of broke the shot and held your breath. And I because I think the the thing about it, and I I just actually watched, I guess you guys did this podcast last week with uh Justin and um a couple things he touched on, you guys talked about, but like the thing is is if you miss, I think I don't know, three quarters of Justin's targets have no burn. So if you miss at night, it's you have nothing. And I think I think uh most top shooters, like the top 20 or 30 guys, will probably be able to handle a miss with no info and and probably get on the second shot. Um but still it's like there's been times during the day when I miss, can't tell what I did, and I make the wrong correction. You know, it's something you just you know, you you roll the dice the wrong way. But um the stage I ended on actually was probably one of my scariest stages. It's uh it was just a a near far, but the the target in the back was around 700 and I think it was 705 yards, and it was probably one of the smaller targets. Um, I think he said something about five or six tenths. That one was about four tenths. And um, and uh I think I got it on the buzzer on night one with two minutes, and then second night, it's the same course of fire, 15 seconds shorter. And I remember thinking, like, all right, got to keep moving. And I got into that last position pretty comfortably, but then struggled to find the first target. It was the first time this this actually happened. Now I'm thinking about it. I just got chills. This happened last year, too, on my last stage with the win nearly guaranteed at the PRS barricades where I ended last year, and there's a thermal video of it. Um, everyone's like, Oh, are you gonna go for it? I'm like, Yeah, why not? You know, I can miss three and still win. And then, like the second position I got in, it took me 10 seconds to find the target, and I hadn't struggled at all until that very point. And uh, and the same thing happened that night, uh, just this last weekend, where I got on that last position for the first target and started swimming around looking for the target. And I'm like, no, like not now. Like, I have like 11 or 12 seconds to get this done. And uh I finally found it and I hit it, panned up to the far target in the background. And then um this one really like got me nervous because I went to go, I felt really good, centered up on the hold that I wanted, started squeezing the trigger. And I don't know if it's in my head. I still can't tell you for sure. My rifle was not super dirty in the dust and everything. I kept squeezing and kept squeezing, and I was like, why aren't you going? Like it felt like the shot, yeah, it felt like the shot should have gone. And I kept squeezing, and I know my timer's running out. I've got like three seconds left, and I keep squeezing harder and harder. This is all obviously like milliseconds, right? But I can tell it's not the normal shot. And now immediately I start seeing my reticles start to jump around as I'm starting to get a little a little panic, and I broke the last shot finally, and then just you know, slow motion. You finally see the plate move, and you're like, oh my gosh. It was uh it was a stressful moment for sure.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's that's there's some tough stages there though.

SPEAKER_04

There's a couple of really good panning stages. I don't know. I I guess you guys both probably shot like off the truck. There's like a panoramic stage where you're shooting all the all the targets around the whole the whole um area. And I mean, the targets were healthy, but at the same time, it's like when you're moving that much around, it it doesn't take much to just get one wrong and and just slip off and then fix it. Like it doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you're thinking you might clean the match, it's very easy. I could have dropped, you know, one here, one there. There, there's all different little targets I could have done that with.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, it's so weird shooting a match at night, too. It's like you're you're all your senses are are jacked up trying to just deal with being in the dark and manage everything too.

SPEAKER_04

So I think the hardest part um that I heard everybody complain about, and and after doing this for three years, I don't know. Sounds like I've got it figured out, but I coming into it cold every time, I feel like, because we don't do this all the time. Every time I look at targets through my my binos, and I have good glass, I'm like, is that fuzzy to everybody else? Like I spent I probably spent half half of both nights just sitting there spinning the focus on my binos all night.

SPEAKER_02

Uh 100%. Yes. That that that year when I got really tired, like I could literally like I could not focus on any of the targets anymore. Like my eyes were just so fatigued from trying to trying to collect the small amount of light, I guess.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it looks like Mirage, and there is Mirage, but the targets almost look like they're through water. And I think it's your eyes just constantly trying to find the right the right setting, you know. Yeah. And um, and the same thing happens in the scope too. Um, you know, but I'm a little less concerned actually when I'm in the scope because I don't have time to think about it. But on the binos, I'm constantly like, this is bad. I don't feel like I can see anything.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, just bl you're just blinking all the time.

SPEAKER_04

Like, why can't I see this?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So weird.

SPEAKER_01

Well, we're can well I actually I want to go back. What time? All right, so you zeroed your rifle and got all ready, went ahead, had a good lunch, slept for the afternoon, took a nap. What time did you actually get back to the range and get started again?

SPEAKER_04

Uh, we probably got there around eight. Uh okay.

SPEAKER_01

So with some daylight left. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, the sun hadn't set yet. And I don't know if you know that range, but the place uh where you check your zero away from the firing line is actually like right into the sunset.

SPEAKER_01

So right before you go into the yeah, yeah, by the parking lot.

SPEAKER_04

And you're either gonna either need to check zero around eight or you check it at nine, but anywhere in between, and it's like right by the trees, it's right in your face. Um so we got there around eight and just kind of hung out. We were just chit-chatting with everybody. Um, and then around nine, check zero. Think we're gonna go to the stage. I don't know. Justin was working on some stuff on the range or whatever. We finally got briefed up and got out there somewhere around 9 30.

SPEAKER_02

Was he working on getting cattle off of the range by any chance?

SPEAKER_04

I think that was part of it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's very that's really weird.

SPEAKER_01

He yeah, he he told me, and this is part of what he told me on Saturday was that uh these cows have never had like alfalfa, like really good, rich green alfalfa or something like that. So he's like, we got a couple bales down from Minnesota or somewhere up north, and like we had to like kind of force these cows to realize what we'd given them, but as soon as they knew it was there, like they just they were to like crack like to this to this bale hay until it was gone. So he didn't have to worry about the cows coming out of the it worked, it worked.

SPEAKER_04

I will say it worked. This is the first foul board match I shot where there weren't cows in the way. Uh we never even saw them.

SPEAKER_02

I think in Oklahoma you could actually feed the cows crack instead.

SPEAKER_04

Probably that would also work. Yeah, it's similar, it's meth, but yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. So you start 9 30 or so, uh, it's just after dark. What uh what time do you end up shooting to Saturday night?

SPEAKER_04

Uh Friday night. I'm sorry. Friday night, yeah. Friday night. We got done around four, which was pretty late based on the forecast. Um, you know, I but I think we we we briefed a little late. Yeah. Um we really didn't we didn't have any target failures or anything. I think it's just at night things move slow, people move kind of slow. Um we had Corey Vogues in our squad, and he was being really good about actually he was really good on day two, where it was like people would finish their last shot and they're like, What would you hold these like get your rifle, get out of the way every time? He's like, let's keep this, let's keep it rolling. Yeah, um he was a really good squad dad. Um but yeah, um yeah, four o'clock was was a little late, but in comparison to previous years, it actually wasn't that bad.

SPEAKER_01

And um so that might I mean you're right to the hotel, close the close the curtains, try to sleep till noon.

SPEAKER_04

Kinda no, by the time we got back, we probably you know unloaded some gear and you know, just talking around a little bit. I think we probably went to bed just before the sun came up, so it was probably like six. I mean, we were about a half hour away by the time we got there, it was probably five. But um, did you? I will say it it flowed better than previous years, though, where even though it was four o'clock, I remember thinking like I remember taking a nap last year. I actually took a nap on the tower and didn't tell anybody. I just disappeared. I was like, you know, I've done enough spotting tonight. I was kind of doing a lot. I was like, I'm just gonna go lay down and see what happens and set an alarm. And I passed out for 20 minutes. Yeah, I love it. Um but I did not feel like that uh Friday or Saturday this year. So yeah, we went back to the house, got some sleep. I think we woke up around 10 or 11.

SPEAKER_01

Uh not much. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Not much. Yeah. I mean, you feel better, but it feels weird. And then you get back to your we we just did lunch and came back, hung out a little bit. I think I smoked a cigar in the afternoon, and then laid down and just tried to sleep. But that that afternoon nap was more like a trance, you know, you're just kind of half, half conscious. You know you're trying to sleep.

SPEAKER_01

Trying too hard. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. So then and then back to the match. Saturday evening, start again, probably 9 30 or so, 9-9.30. And then uh how late did that go?

SPEAKER_04

Uh, I think three. Three minutes.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, shooting. And then and then you're off to Banquet Hall, right? Or somewhere. Yep.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, down whatever, 20 minutes away, 15 minutes away in the town. It's funny. Uh someone's like, what's open down there? And I'm like, Justin has the keys to that city, probably. So the cops even came by and they're sitting there listening to the ceremony, standing there in the doorway, and you know. Were they really? Uh a cop was there, but they they come every year. Yeah, they're always there. Probably because last year I think some people that's probably the cops.

SPEAKER_02

That's probably all of them.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, the the single cop. But I think last year some people parked in the police parking lot. They were like, you guys can't lock in police cars.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah. Did you guys have uh do you guys have any wind uh really much to speak of to deal with?

SPEAKER_04

Friday, Friday night was surprising because um I don't know. I just if I were to just blindly assume the weather without looking at it, I would have thought at night it's pretty much just gonna be still or you know, just really, really light. And Friday night it kind of started like that, but after a couple hours, it was just like slowly rising through the night. By the time the last stage or two was starting to get a little bit interesting, where it was, I don't know, five, six, seven, eight, gusting up over 10, 12. I think I might have seen like 12, like 13 or 14 a couple times. I don't know. I'm I hope I'm not making that up. I'm trying to remember the numbers, but there was a couple of pretty gusty hours there towards the end of the night. I know I talked to a couple other guys that um dropped a couple and we were just comparing notes to what we were shooting when and how they got hosed. Um it got interesting there for sure on Friday night. Saturday night was was pretty much nothing, you know, just a couple, a couple miles an hour.

SPEAKER_02

Do you uh do you did you do any like uh preparation for shooting a night ahead of time before this one?

SPEAKER_04

Uh dusted out the the the old headlamp and bought a couple of new glow sticks. I think I think three days before, two days before I I pulled out the old nights uh glow sticks that I saved. Don't try to save them for five bucks. Just replace them. I cracked them all and I was looking at them. I'm like, oh, that's not gonna work, and got another bag, but um no, that's it. I'm I'm gonna do a little uh I'm gonna show some sort of post or something on what I have, but it's like $30 Amazon special. I've got a headlamp and a couple of glow sticks, and that's it. Nice. Honestly, I I think I think people work work it up too much, like they psych themselves out. Like there's definitely an element to it that's different shooting at night. Um, but I think it's a lot of the same skills you need during the day, and you just need to get the light out of your face. Like it's amazing how many guys have like 17 glow bracelets around their turret, and they've got like the high brightness chem lights strapped all over the place. Like I had I had like four little one-inch sticks on my rifle, and that's it.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

I think less is more.

SPEAKER_01

What uh what scope are you using and were you illuminated?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's illuminated uh collis eight to forty. Okay. Um you barely use it. I mean, I think if you're doing it right, you're you're barely using the illumination. You want to use it enough that you can discern the subtensions.

SPEAKER_01

Almost on bottom, you know.

SPEAKER_04

It doesn't look red, it looks purple or brown. You know, it starts to just show that little bit of a brownish-orange color. Okay. Um I definitely cranked it up more than that a few times just because uh I knew I needed to see a little bit more on the reticle, but yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um so uh we we talked about this in show opening, uh match meals. Not necessarily what you're eating at the range, but what you ate off the range. Where did you have lunch? Or dinner?

SPEAKER_04

Oh no. All I need to do is talk more about food.

SPEAKER_01

Um we're gonna make it a part of the show.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, all right. See what kind of men and ladies are out there. Um trying to think when we uh finished with the range. Right there's a country club. We were staying at a like off golf course kind of area at an Airbnb, and there was like a country club restaurant. It was actually pretty good. We got got a burger and some sandwiches there. Um and then uh for dinner the first night. So we always get subway on the way in and we'll just eat. The sandwich and save half a sandwich, throw it in your bag, like just in case. Yeah. Um, you know, if you get hungry in the middle of the night. Um and Justin feeds people there. I just, it's it's like a burrito or something. Yeah. Um, but I like getting something extra just to have it, right? And maybe it's just even morale boost, you know, if you're in the middle of the night and you're getting tired, just have a bite of something. But like with all the lettuce scare going on, I've ever throwing out I was watching them make my sandwich and I almost I almost had them like pull out a few pieces of lettuce that looked really questionable. And I was like, oh, whatever, it's fine. I'm I'm not even gonna eat that second half of the sandwich. And literally after eight stages, I got to the last stage, and I'm like, oh, I got a sandwich, you know, you're bored and it's you're tired, and I'm like, oh, I'm just gonna eat it, whatever. And it's like warm, it's a warm sandwich. And um I think I think Clayton Porter or somebody was next to me, and they were like, they're like, You think it's good? And I was like, one too. And I'm like, yeah, it's probably like, yeah, it's it's a few hours old, whatever. And then after I I like inhaled this thing, and then I look over and I'm like, he's eating his too. And I'm like, hey, just uh just realize it's actually a nine-hour old sandwich that's been in our backpack uh with the lettuce and all that stuff. Questionable, and I was like, well, we're gonna know by the morning what's going on.

SPEAKER_02

So if anybody that's listening is familiar with like FDA food handling standards. Four hours. Four hours. They're just going, oh God, you're rolling the dice. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Well, I got a I've got a rock, uh, a rock for his stomach, so I think I made it out okay, but I don't know if I'll do it again next time.

SPEAKER_02

That rock, that rock might be like an ulcer in your stomach. I might know what it is. You're just not digesting food.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Uh so what about like what what other matches have you been to that yeah, you have like a memorable meal that you ate out like over the week? Oh my god, that was so good.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Actually, the one of the most like interesting ones was Altus. Um, and I only shot through the one time. It was it was actually the first win I had, national win. Sure. And they had some sort of like Asian sesame beef and rice, and it was like like good, sticky white rice, and sauce was really good at the match.

SPEAKER_01

At the match, yep.

SPEAKER_04

I've oh yeah, you're not talking about yeah, you're talking about just local area.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Yep. No, I've I've heard of that. People have I I've not shot that match. I've been to Altus a couple times. I've not been there for a match, but I've heard people talking about that, like stir fry or whatever it is, is fantastic.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I don't know that it was like the best in the world, but to have that at a match was pretty different. I remember thinking, like, dang, that's that's really good. Um, other local food, yeah. I always have to stop. I used to live in Memphis outside of the Memphis area, and uh anytime we go to KM, I have to stop at Gibson's Donuts as we go past Memphis. They've got they've got these vanilla cream stuffed donuts, and they're disgustingly rich. Um, and I always get way too many, eat half the box on the way home. My friends all make fun of me. It's it's funny. But they're open, they used to be open 24 hours and now they close at midnight. But you'd show up at like two in the morning and it'd be a line out the door. This place.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. That's it. That's it. Gives that donuts. Yeah, that's awesome. See, that's that's that's the that's that's that's the kind of thing we're wanting to like share so people when they go to matches and they're making their weekend of it, that they can find out.

SPEAKER_04

Maybe they should sponsor me. I'll put a donut on my sleeve somewhere.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I think so. There you go. Right there. Uh East-ish Memphis. Yeah, East Memphis.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's a it's a 20-minute, it's a 20-minute diversion if you're headed west out between Memphis. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Off of 40 or 60 minutes.

SPEAKER_04

If you're a donut person, it's probably worth it. But at nine o'clock or eight o'clock at night after the match is over on Sunday, the the options might be limited. I called ahead. That's how much of a junkie I am for that stuff. I call ahead and I'm like, hey, they're like, oh, hey, Matt. Is that you?

SPEAKER_01

You guys gonna be open?

SPEAKER_04

You want your regular, you want your regular three three dozen? Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_01

That's awesome. Well, we're gonna we're gonna keep we're gonna keep talking about this too. I'm actually gonna mute Steiner here. Um, yeah, we're gonna keep bringing this up in in future episodes with uh what food. Uh and just to preface that for you, Matt. Like we um we had Keith Baker on last week, and he he said like on his way through Wisconsin to the Pancake Lake deal that uh he had the best breakfast he ever had. So we now have the best donuts ever in existence. Okay. We should we should it's almost like the show needs its own uh webpage here so that we could point this stuff out. That's a good idea. Yeah, exactly. Best donuts, best breakfast. Um all right, Matt. You are sitting currently 24th. Uh uh, 292.639. Um, take a look here at broker.

SPEAKER_04

Might as well just hand me the golden bullet now.

SPEAKER_01

You think so? 292.

SPEAKER_04

Well, if I proved anything, I know a 300 doesn't mean Jack after last year.

SPEAKER_01

That's that is true. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_04

Well, Morgan had a 300, so he probably did fine.

SPEAKER_01

Um so your three best scores comprise of obviously Silent Knight. You just finished with 100. Loop pulled best in Texas, 96 and 560, and then your qualifier was eighth place at Collis. Um, what what do you have? You know what? I don't view profile page. You're signed up for Impact Foundation and a world championship. How many points do you think you're gonna get the world championship this year? If only that counted.

SPEAKER_04

If only that counted. Yeah. Um, yeah. Impact, I hope I make it. Uh, I think I'm I'm looking pretty good. Like I should be able to be there, but looking forward to that one.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you make it impact a qualifier? It is not, I don't believe.

SPEAKER_04

What? Um that's usually pretty stacked matched. It is stacked matched.

SPEAKER_01

We rotate the qualifiers. Um lame. I know. I now you just tell me which ones you want them to be qualifiers, and I'll just pave the road ahead of you.

SPEAKER_04

How is that just all the ones except Steiners because I never make it up there?

SPEAKER_01

Um all right, let's found it. No, uh where Impact Foundation. No, that's not a qualifier. Yeah, it's looking here, but uh Federal Gold Medal Match and Alabama is, and West Coast Redemption is up there in Oregon, War Rifles, and then KRG, and the last one's gonna be MPA. Are you gonna be at MPA?

SPEAKER_04

Uh I I don't really have a plan with my time off to make that, but uh, on some hail narry, if I can, I will.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. Man, uh, I mean, that's the one you just gotta improve that qualifier score, right? That's the thing. 96.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, well, uh it is what it is. This isn't this isn't the year I think last year I'd you know, obviously I had that I got the the 300, it was a really good tee up, uh bifted at the finale. This year it's probably I'm hoping for the opposite, you know. I I really can't um really can't crush the season match schedule this year at all. I just I've been being a little more uh choosy with my time. I just too many things going on, but uh yeah, if I can't change my qualifier score, but I go into it, you know, say best case scenario, I win win the impact match. What do I do?

SPEAKER_01

That gives me like a 296. 296 and some change. That's striking that. That's a pretty good spot.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That's a pretty good spot.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and I think then I just have to clean the finale and then we're good.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, I mean, well, let's let's see here. Uh, have you shot have you shot much at uh Twisted Barrel? Yeah. Uh your 21st there last year in July. Um did you shoot it the year before?

SPEAKER_04

Two years, two years ago I won or last year I won it, and the year before that I did it.

SPEAKER_01

24 you won it.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Ooh, yeah. What was that? Uh what's oh that's the finale's for.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah, I have not had some good finales the last few years. Uh, I remember I got that I got third third place black bullet the year I won the KM finale, and I remember thinking I was gonna do it again next year, like like no-brainer. I'm just gonna keep keep this going. The guys who have gotten a bullet every year, that's super impressive because I've done pretty well. And uh that finale just you gotta nail it then too. And I have not gotten another one since.

SPEAKER_01

Man. Yeah, it's another Hall of Fame page stat that we need to we need to get up there is uh, you know, how many, how many bullets in a row, right? I think probably Orgain had six, maybe. Last year he was 11th, he was one spot out, I think.

SPEAKER_04

There's a few people that I you know, you hear them say it, and I kind of it surprises me when they say like they they just don't want to go a year without getting one. I'm like, oh, you've got one every year. It's that's that's huge.

SPEAKER_01

I mean that's crazy.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, there's a lot of lot of good shooters you gotta beat.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and there's you know new ones now, too. I mean, like Gage Caples last year, you know, finding a spot in there. Derek Warren's probably gonna be taking home a bullet this year, I would assume. Like, yeah, he's having a lot of new new names.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there's so many good shooters in sport now, it's just ridiculous. It's like, you know, you the matches just in order to come out on top, you have to be either perfect like you just were or or damn close to it. Right.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Man. Well, let's talk, uh, let's talk worlds real quick. Um, yeah. While we have you here, we'll see you down there. We're gonna be um we're gonna be doing broadcasting here. Uh you uh Crusoe, what did I say here? You are shooting Factory, right? Um assuming that's uh MPA, PMR, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, the Matrix Pro 2. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, right on. What caliber are you shooting it? BRS?

SPEAKER_04

It's the only one I got. Yeah, I think that's pretty much it. I I don't change it. I I have I have some some plans. I have 25, 47 barrels, and it's been taken, it's like three years in the making, and I just I'm in no rush.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, yeah, yeah. Uh factory, there are 33 signed up. Um and some and some good shooters in here.

SPEAKER_04

I love seeing all those flags. That's so cool.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, it is cool. It is cool. Um man, I I I think you'd stand a pretty damn good chance there. How do you like shooting at at Gravestone?

SPEAKER_04

Uh it's great. I mean, I love the facility. I've heard some people say, like, you know, that they've got it figured out, like it's not that complicated. And I think it's not complicated, but I've shot there enough to know that it's it hasn't been perfectly consistent, you know, in the same spots. I know that there are some some challenging spots of the range, but it's not that I know how they're gonna be challenging. I just know that they're gonna be challenging. So I don't know. I don't feel like uh I don't feel like I have a huge advantage, honestly, um, kind of being more of a local around here because it's I still haven't won a club match there.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

No, I actually I think the one the one trophy I remember getting was Morgan's and he had left. I texted him, I said, Hey, I'm pretty sure this is yours. He's like, Yeah, you can have it.

SPEAKER_02

I actually got to uh take a peek at the the course of fire that that Jake has uh drafted up for the for the match the other day. And uh it looks like you guys are gonna have a good time. Perfect.

SPEAKER_04

All right, cool.

SPEAKER_02

Love that. I love that.

SPEAKER_04

Such a good cliffhanger. That is that is awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yep. Looks good.

SPEAKER_01

Nice. Well, we'll see you down there. Um, I'm gonna come in, I think, day before the opening ceremonies, and um we'll be there to hang out and do all the things and stay through the closing ceremonies and then make our way home and then gap grind. And man, we just got a we got a crazy busy, busy fall here, and we're trying to squeeze in a little bit of uh family stuff. But I'm excited to get down there and see you guys. Um, how far away is that for you in this gravestone? It's a little over an hour. Oh my gosh. Yeah, so you'll sleep in your own bed for sure.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's I mean, that's one of those things where it's like it's it's convenient in one way, but inconvenient because when would you ever stay an hour away if you went to another match? Like it's a lot of driving. 45.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, I've stayed 45 minutes for matches, you know.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I mean, it's gonna be and it's week weekday rush hour in backcountry towns where it gets backed up. It could be slow, it's just and we'll be what four days come on the off days to support the rest of the team. So it'll be like be like 15 hours of driving.

SPEAKER_01

It's gonna be a grind. Yeah, totally worth it. Yeah, that's awesome, man. Yeah. Right on. Well, man, it's good having you on here. Uh, congrats again on the on the back-to-back wins and the clean uh second clean match in Pierre S history or Pro Series history. Love that. Um yeah, good luck to the rest of the season, and we'll see you here soon, bud.

SPEAKER_04

All right, very cool. Thanks, Beamer.

SPEAKER_01

Matt Steiner, welcome to the show, buddy. Good to be back. Yeah, double Matt. You're looking good. Double Matt episode. You're looking good. It looks like you got a great studio now. This is uh new digs for you, right?

SPEAKER_00

Uh kind of. Uh, I'm over at Christina's house, girlfriend. Uh we're just celebrating one of her kids' birthdays today, so it made sense to work out of her office versus my place, which I mean sometimes you gotta upgrade, right?

SPEAKER_01

Uh I I think, man, if you want to help help do some more shows, that's a great background. Looks like a great space for doing this, dude.

SPEAKER_00

I've got a I think I've got a new gun room coming. I think I'll do that. It'll be um I'm I got a whole map out plan for it, so I'm kind of excited about that too.

SPEAKER_01

So Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Is it so isn't that a little bit wild? Now I went I went through the same thing with this area, and this is this has always been my reloading room. And it honestly, like it's all plywood walls and plywood ceiling and stuff, but like I finally, like two years ago, I'm like, nope, I think we're gonna be doing some recording and stuff in here, and it's like I I need a space with you know guns and deer in the background and fancy lights on the ceiling, and you know, the right colors and all of that, and like what does this world come to?

SPEAKER_00

Well, well, think about it for as much time, think take the podcast out of the whole equation. How much time were you spending in there, anyways, as a competitor? Uh as an avid shooter. I mean, you gotta be like when you sit in your living room, your living room, I've been in it, man. It is it's comfy. You got the the love sack seats, they're they're great. It's you want to be in there, you want to relax. Uh your gun room's the same way. If it's if it's an absolute mess and it looks like a cave from like 1950, some 1950s basement, you know, hardwired, you know, in from the uh the age of nuclear fallout. I mean, nobody wants to be in those things.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I don't appreciate you talking about my gun room that way.

SPEAKER_00

It's fun, it's funny as we're as we we have one of our uh beta testers for the AF-100 at work. Uh his basement's like that. It is a concrete roof in the basement with a sheet of steel over top of it. So it is like the electromagnetic nightmare for any kind of electric hardware.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So every every time we turn around, it's like, what's going on with Ed's Ed's setup here? We got this going on.

SPEAKER_01

I I thought for sure that was gonna be Aaron Hip. No.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you probably hear it by it by now if it was Aaron.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly. I got my yeah, you don't have to wear the tinfoil hat when you're under concrete and a steel roof, you know. Aaron, I'm sorry, I'm playing.

SPEAKER_03

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Oh my goodness. We got another uh another uh MKM uh competition coming up this weekend, yeah?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, so this is our second of the year, it's the Peterson Cartridge Challenge. Uh we've been working with Peterson now for I think this is year four, maybe five. Um they're a great sponsor to work with, they're really hands-on. Uh, they've got some really cool giveaways at the match. They uh teamed up with Short Action Customs. They have this whole package they're gonna give away for to the winner of every every squad that shoots that stage. Oh there's gonna be 18 winners. So there's like a dive kit from Short Action Customs, some brass, I believe, from uh I don't have it in front of me, but it is like it's like a $500 package per squad. Fastest time, fastest uh time with a clean or the fastest, highest score wins this package. They did it last year. They worked with uh Tom over at AGE and they gave away Peterson Cartridge, uh Schmediums. Well, this year they teamed up with short action customs, and you get a die package and a whole handful of other cool stuff. I mean, they go above and beyond. They've got a side stage Friday during train up where they're using the uh the slingshot from MDT to win some stuff there too. So they really go all out with that.

SPEAKER_02

That's cool. That's a really cool idea. I think I'm gonna steal that from you and pitch that to some of my sponsors.

SPEAKER_00

You can't, humor, at some point. We've already we've already licensed that. There's a fee. There's a fee that comes with that.

SPEAKER_02

I'll have my people get in touch with your people and see what's going on.

SPEAKER_01

I love that idea. So every and every squad's gonna have a winner of this prize package. Like that's a that's a phenomenal idea because you can yeah, you might not be having the best match, or you're not gonna be, you know, top 20 or something like that, walk away with a decent prize, but you I mean anybody could have a stage, do well.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

You know, yeah, that's cool.

SPEAKER_00

And and I think the stage that we have the way we have it set up this year, it's not gonna be easy. So guys are I would highly doubt that there's gonna be a ton of cleans, maybe 10 on the weekend.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So it's gonna be the guy, it's gonna reward the guy that stays as consistent and sticks with it, you know, works hard for it.

SPEAKER_01

That's cool. That's cool. So what's uh what's weather look like this weekend there in Kennerdale, Pennsylvania?

SPEAKER_00

Oh boy, it looks like thunderstorms.

SPEAKER_01

So we feel like it rains on you guys every match.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, it was bad. Well, we got it last last year on or last or in May on Friday. Yeah, it rained all day, but it was beautiful all weekend. It was actually cool and comfortable, it was nice. Yeah. Um, but I mean, I feel like it's a 60% chance of thunderstorms, which means we're either gonna get dumped on or it's gonna be hot and humid.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So I've been there for enough dumped on matches. It feels like I mean, well, I haven't actually shot there in a couple years, but it felt like forever it was like you get rained on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, at least not the whole weekend, but at some point you're getting rained on.

SPEAKER_00

Well, before before before you uh moved us into May, and we'd host the April ones, we would have all the seasons. So it would snow on Friday, rain on Saturday, and then it'd be sunny and 70 on Sunday.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. Yeah, at least you finish on the high note. Yeah, that way. You could.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm I'm excited. Uh, we got 133 signed up. Um we're down uh from where we were in May and where we were for the last three, two days. Uh what was what was May's um I suppose we finished right around mid-160s, I think 167, 168. Uh the lat the two last year were mid-160s as well, 164, 167, something like that. So definitely down.

SPEAKER_01

And still 130 some people at a match is uh that's pretty good, uh you know. That's still pretty good. I I just noticed Alan Smith's handle is squibbles. Alan Smith's.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, there's a store. There's a story behind that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, well, do tell. I found a right.

SPEAKER_00

We were oh, we were at I want to say we were down at in Kentucky. What was that? Rock Castle. Rock Castle. When Ryan Castle was running those matches down there, yeah. I remember being down there, and I think this was like one of Alan's earlier matches, and he'd just gotten into it, and he gets up on a stage and he sends a round and I it squibs.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And he gets it stuck in there. So from that point on, the guys on the team just it was swibbles.

SPEAKER_01

Squibbles. I like is uh is Mark Gordon shooting this as well?

SPEAKER_00

He is not. Uh he probably got his he got his one in last week at at the Sizzler.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So he'll probably take it easy for a period of time now.

SPEAKER_01

And you got uh from Peterson, Aaron Kochak's out there, I see. Um I'm sure the both nurses, father son will be there. That's correct. Anyone else from Peterson shooting?

SPEAKER_00

Um Michael Bodo, he works there. Um Derek Morgan actually just got hired in there. He uh he swapped careers and he is now working at Peterson Cartridge, so he's now an employee there.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So then we have a handful of their sponsored shooters. I mean, that team's To keep growing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like most teams in the series.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Oh, that's good. Yeah, looking through, man. It's solid, the solid, solid crew guys gonna be out here. Let's take a look. Uh all classes. Let's look at Pro. Hip, who uh we were just having fun with there. Andrew Makos, B. Wilson, Braden Mann. Dave Preston's probably got a lot of those black bullets.

SPEAKER_00

I bet Dave has uh he's got I don't I don't think it's the gold one's the one he covets the most, but I want to say there's probably six or seven black ones in there. We were talking, he is currently tied as the all-time series leader in wins with Morgan K.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. Is he really?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Um he got a phone call to validate. He thinks there's he found one match that gives him the edge up. And I looked at him and I said, Dave, what are you worried about? You're always gonna be higher on the podium than Morgan, just based on that. Oh, that's fun. He got a kick out of that one too. He kind of laughs at the dad jokes a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, that's good. He's father of what, five kids or something, too. Four. He's got four, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I I'm starting to feel like that's a requirement to work at GrayOps. He's got four. We just brought on Reese Thompson. Okay. Reese Thompson just his wife just gave birth last week to their fourth child. I mean, it's it's just Nate, who works with us, he's got three.

SPEAKER_01

So a lot of catching up to do, Steiner.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that that ship has sailed, buddy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, you're just bringing the average down to standard. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're making it normal. I'm the two and a half.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

With a white picket fence, right?

SPEAKER_01

There you go. Yep. Uh Dave O, Derek Warren. I mean, Derek Warren's coming off a win down there at Sack. He will be there. Eric Kutchen, our friend from Maine. Fred, help put on the sack match. Jerry. Jerry's having a year. Both the Galattis. Yeah. Ed, Baker. Yeah. Baker might be back in time. He I think he just sent me a picture today. I think he's in Yellowstone. Um, so he's got to hustle back. Yeah, it's Tuesday.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So Wednesday, Thursday drive. No, you're talking Wednesday, Thursday driving, and then uh yeah, Friday check-in. You know, it's what two hours away from me, hour away from the range. Yeah. Uh Laurel. Yeah, Laurel. Patty Young's. Mike Hold left edge is his handle. Patty. Yeah. Google the Elmo. Uh Beck, man. Uh, Beck's having a year. I'm gonna open his profile. Tyler, Zach, Logan McGuinness. Let's let's look at Beck here. Um, where his score is coming from. First, first, and a ninth qualifier being the ninth.

SPEAKER_00

Um he's got a qualifier win at our May match.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, so he can replace that other qualifier. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well, he's gonna have his work cut out for him, so is everyone else. It's not gonna be one of those where you you know.

SPEAKER_01

Hold left edge, right edge.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you hold left edge, and you know, the guy that I mean, you're gonna work on almost every stage.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. A lot of head games in this, or are we keeping it pretty straightforward?

SPEAKER_00

Everything is straightforward. Um, we did something that we haven't done in a few years. Uh, part times are all two minutes.

SPEAKER_02

No joke. Interesting. Those targets must be tiny.

SPEAKER_00

Generous in one area. There's they're not very that you're not getting to double tap very many pieces of steel throughout the match.

SPEAKER_01

I love that. But so you guys put berms behind almost everything now, too, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. So we added probably another 40 berms to the facility just on the just on the 600 main area, and we utilized almost every one of those.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

With some sort of a new target array or target, you know, something. So we have a very, I guess you could say a target-rich environment. I love it. We have lots of options.

SPEAKER_01

Love it.

SPEAKER_00

So, but we were we were really thoughtful about how we did it. It's not crazy movement. Um, we threw some hugs in there to kind of balance the match out so you're not walking away feeling like totally dejected.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

But um, I think it's gonna be tough. It's gonna make you think, and it's you know, shooting to that headwind that we're notorious for, it's gonna make you slow down and pay attention to all the environmentals. Yep. And if I if I give shooters any one piece of advice, we do have some wind flags out there that you know remained after we did some dirt work. I shot a Steel Challenge bench match there a couple weeks ago. And every time I listened to the wind flags, I would miss in the direction I was holding towards. So if it was blowing right to left, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, I'd hold right edge and I'd blow off the right edge.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Interesting.

SPEAKER_00

And it was crazy because the flag would indicate right to left, the mirage would indicate right to left. I'd okay, I don't want to give up the steal, but it was clearly a left to right wind.

SPEAKER_01

Got it. So okay.

SPEAKER_00

But in normal MKM fashion, I mean that all the props are solid, everything's pretty well thought out, and we're not I mean, you're hung on that that head game stuff that we did at that AG Cup match a couple years, Ken. That's why you're still boycotting us.

SPEAKER_01

No, man, I don't I didn't even shoot that match. Um, but no, I remember doing like Kim's games and stuff like that, or draw a card, you know, and shooting order.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, the draw card was it that was an interesting stage. We did that at one match, but all the targets were practically at the same distance.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

So they were in a horizontal line from left to right across the range, and they were all had a plaque root, and they were just they were just small diamonds.

SPEAKER_01

I I re I I do remember, I do remember.

SPEAKER_00

You you know who my partner is, right? Kenny, I like to shoot small things, Sanasti.

SPEAKER_01

Sure. Yeah, I don't mind it. Um, well, let's do let's do some picks here. And I think we're gonna go, we got enough to go five. Man, how many pros here? Um 30 pros. So man, we're only gonna pick 15 total. Um, and we can pick from non-pro as well, which highly encourage because it seems like every week um, you know, somebody slips in that's that's not a pro into the top 10. Um uh let's do beamer than Steiner than me. Um and uh and yeah, let's let's uh let's do pick'em here. I got a couple more questions for you before we do the manner's pick'em.

SPEAKER_02

So me first, huh? Yeah, Beamer. Uh man, do I go with Warren or do I go with Beck?

SPEAKER_00

Well, and you can you can't forget Baker because he always shoots well there, too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, that's true too. Well, Warren, Beck, and Baker, I think.

SPEAKER_00

And you have hey, um you got Preston, he's got a couple of these Peterson trophies. But you also, where's he at there? Oh, uh Tony Rocco.

SPEAKER_01

Tony Rocco, that's right.

SPEAKER_00

Tony Rocco's got three one-day wins, I think, at our place this year.

SPEAKER_02

All right, well, standing. Um man. I think I'm gonna go Warren. Tyler, I don't always go. I'm gonna start with Warren though for mine.

SPEAKER_01

Hold on. I'll I'll give you I'll give you Derek Warren here in a second. Okay. Let's let's check out Tony Rocco, though. Because he seems to be the guy we're talking about.

SPEAKER_02

So he very sure he looks like his name.

SPEAKER_00

So literally, right before the the right before the Vortex match, and I brought him up, and he was one of my dark horse picks in that one. He was like, they all watched, they all watched that on the way into the into the range, and they had that all cooked up. They had a song that went with it.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

Cody Hullander is like the song guru when it comes to AI songs, and he just it's hilarious. And Tony just ate it up, he loved it.

SPEAKER_01

That's awesome. I mean, he he's been all top 25 this year with pro matches. Yeah, let's take a look at Regional Series. One, one, one. Yep, Sheepdog, MKM, MKM, MKM. Sheepdog second. So yeah, yeah. Man, maybe Tony. I think you're getting picked this week. Or maybe none of us do. We just kind of yeah, give the sleight of hand here. I don't know. Uh there we go. All right. So Derek Warren. He's going first. I think I'll go Derek Warren.

SPEAKER_02

I think that's a solid pick. Um it's not all about the first pick either. It's it's it's the accumulative.

SPEAKER_01

It is. Let's uh let's go back. Type uh I get that right. Yeah. Derek. Probably uh that's not that there he is. Mighty meat truck. Um, he's got a couple of rifles. Kelby number one, I guess. Um all right, so open. Man, he has a good score. 100 qualifier, frostbite. Yeah, I mean, this is it, right? He gets uh he gets a win this weekend that replaces that second place at twisted barrel. He's the third one to 300 points.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, yeah, he is having having a season. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Say it again, beamer.

SPEAKER_02

Nope, no, just no, just just churching up uh Derek churching your first pickup.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you taking Ryan back, Steiner?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, it's hard not to. He he wins almost every time he comes to MKM.

SPEAKER_01

He does. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. This this weekend he's getting second behind Derek. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um I gotta take Keith Baker, my breakfast buddy.

SPEAKER_00

That's a really good one.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. And then I'm gonna take I'm gonna take Josh Edged as my other top pick here. Feel good about that.

SPEAKER_02

He's good for a ninth, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Ninth? Yeah. Edget? No, he top five this weekend. Top five this weekend. I I kid, I kid, Joshua. Yeah, bring him back on the show and let him have it. Let you have it from him. Ziner, you're up again here.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I really want to take my boy Dave Preston. You should, but he but he's so let me down. The last pick I chose him, he so let me down. He's like mid-20s.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Uh so I I gotta go with Davo. He shoots well on Cam. I know he's your He is.

SPEAKER_01

I thought he was gonna slip through the next round. He's my boy. I like picking Dave O. And he, I mean, that's his home range, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. So you got Beck and Davo.

SPEAKER_00

And he's he's on a mission this year. He is he's gonna shoot, he's gonna shoot Peterson. Two weeks later, he's heading down to um Oklahoma.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Oh, impact. Yeah, I'll see him there. Yep. Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Hmm. Well, I already get I already know one pick. And I'm gonna we already we already talked about him, and I I'll keep giving him a hard time. So we're gonna go with uh Tony Rocco. Aaron Hip.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Tony Rocco.

SPEAKER_02

You're taking Tony. I'm taking Tony. I was hoping he was gonna stick around. After I saw those stats, I was like, yeah, let's go ahead and bring it up.

SPEAKER_00

It was after the cheese, it was the pizza t-shirt and the golden candy.

SPEAKER_02

It really won me over. Yeah is the the style pick. Um and then uh scroll down a little bit. I'm trying to decide who I want for my second one here. Um I'll go ahead and pull Preston.

SPEAKER_01

And then right back to the top.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I just I just want to check. Yeah, just want to check. I you know what we did this last week too. We had a sleeper pick. Oh, so as a six sixth pick, so that forces us to choose somebody below pro series or below uh pro classification. So yeah, I like that. Yeah, all right, Snyder, back to you.

SPEAKER_00

Um I'm gonna take Tyler Reynolds.

SPEAKER_01

Tyler Reynolds. Okay. He shoot there at MKM a decent bit.

SPEAKER_00

He does. He's had some good finishes. I think he was he podiumed at Vortex and at um Cheap Dog. He hasn't shot a ton this year.

SPEAKER_01

All right. I'm gonna take Corey Frederick. And I'm thinking if Jerry's won. Two guys that I I don't I think we're gonna know their names a lot better after this week. If Jerry was tied for first in a match earlier this year, too. I think on Saturday night, I think people probably learned who Jerry was, but we'll see. Corey's been up there too. Steiner.

SPEAKER_00

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_01

We got our man.

SPEAKER_00

I'm going to I'm gonna go with my man Patty Young's. I've heard it before. He's due.

SPEAKER_01

He is due. This would it would not surprise me. Okay. Back to Beamer.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. Double, double pick.

SPEAKER_00

I think the double pick seems like it's harder than the single pick.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, I love it. That's I always put myself last. You know what? I'm gonna just I'm gonna I'm gonna I I had a thought, and I'm gonna I'm gonna just go ahead and stick with it. I'm gonna double down on Galattis. You're gonna take both of them. I'm doubling down on Galates, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That's your last two picks. Sure.

SPEAKER_02

Well, besides sleeper, but okay.

SPEAKER_01

I don't mind that.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I they they're both capable of having a having a good match. And uh it popped into my head and I thought it sounded fun, so let's just do it. I like fun stuff. Steiner?

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna go with uh I'd I'd like to say Drew Walter, but we are shooting two roof stages, and every time he shoots the roof at my place, he has a mental breakdown.

SPEAKER_01

Sure.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm gonna go B. Wilson.

SPEAKER_01

You're going B. Wilson. I thought you were taking David Christmas. Okay.

unknown

B.

SPEAKER_01

Wilson. That's a that's a good pick. Oh man. There's some good names left here. Um I'll do I'm gonna do my final pick and I'm gonna do my sleeper pick. Um kind of scared me away from from Drew Walters there.

SPEAKER_02

Um, I mean, you already had Chrisman highlighted, so you were thinking about him. I did.

SPEAKER_01

I was thinking about Chrisman. Um you know what though?

SPEAKER_02

What about Googly Elmo?

SPEAKER_01

I it crossed my mind. I want to I want to pick Fred Mud or Braden Man, like guys.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, well, no, no, but you can't go searching stats for your last pick, they can PRS director.

SPEAKER_01

Googly Elmo. Uh did I get that right? Oh my gosh, I got it right. And and Googly Elmo's part of the Tony Rocco crowd, too, right?

SPEAKER_00

He is.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

They all come out of that South Jersey right across the border the river from Philly.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. He missed 11th.

SPEAKER_02

Sheepdog, 32, 43.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, third the last time here.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe that means he's he's due, he's due to pick it up, then.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

He learned learned a lot. I just think he's got a fun name.

SPEAKER_01

He's got an excellent name. Excellent name. Um let's let's hook up one more here. Mick Guinness. Logan.

SPEAKER_00

He he was the last minute added if he bought someone's spot.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. He's right there, too. Yeah. Look at how many matches out this year.

SPEAKER_02

Salty.

SPEAKER_01

This is his 11th match.

SPEAKER_02

What if that means that he's showing up with a burned out barrel though?

SPEAKER_01

No, look at this. Look at this. Uh well, okay, so it's kind of in order here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'll just say he's part of the Marine Corps shooting team, right?

SPEAKER_01

Is he? I don't know that. Is he shooting Miller?

SPEAKER_00

I thought he I thought Logan did. I could be wrong.

SPEAKER_01

All right, I'm I am cherry picking this last one.

SPEAKER_02

You really are.

SPEAKER_01

I really am. All right, let's know. I feel like we've talked about Laurel every time she shot. I feel like we've picked her every time.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like you can't take her as a dark horse. She's a pro.

SPEAKER_02

Well, no, this is his last pro pick.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I got you. I got you.

SPEAKER_02

He just chose to just use his spot and his uh and abuse his ability to search all the ability. All right. My goodness. This is like this is the extreme, extreme gaming here.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. David's all these guys are right there. Like they're gonna, you know, it could be a topic.

SPEAKER_00

Davis do. Davis do.

SPEAKER_02

What was it? Uh scroll back down. Scroll back down. So the vent vengeance, he got ninth, so that's his most recent way now. And this is this is home range, too, isn't it? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. All right. I mean, 19th at the PRC is pretty good score, too.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, oh yeah. We're we're taking him. Crispin. Blow me down, buddy. And I hope the hell he's not like mid-stage this weekend and he just blows up and he's like fucking we are.

SPEAKER_02

If he does, it'll be your fault.

SPEAKER_01

It will be my fault. I apologize now, Dave. But if you win, you get all the credit, buddy. All right. My let uh my sleeper, I'm taking Cody Hollinger.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Another guy calls that place home range, right?

SPEAKER_00

That is correct.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. All right, Steiner.

SPEAKER_00

So I I don't think I don't think Cody has scored less than a second place at any one day in MKM in the last two years. All right. Let's let's I think he he told me about it the other last time I talked to him. His placements, or no, it was he hasn't dropped more than 10 points there all year in one day's.

SPEAKER_01

Hollinger. Cody, let's man, there's two Hollingers. That's crazy. All right. Uh Cody, thank you for buying every membership available. Um and he's used to every membership available. Um regional series open. Let's see how he's done. One third and a third, all at MKM, 612. Uh Open. Or I'm sorry, uh, Pro Series Open, 15th at Gunline, 33rd at Vortex, 37th at SAC, 27th.

SPEAKER_00

His two days haven't been where he wants to be, but his one days, he just needs to put two one days together.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. Yeah. Well, I believe in you, Cody. You got this kid. Also, Mill, right? Mill L.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, he is. He's active.

SPEAKER_01

Awesome. Love it. Thank you, bud. All right.

SPEAKER_00

All right. So I scrolled through and I looked. My dark horse is a guy that shot for a while, took some time away. He's got a kid on the way. Uh, he used to travel and shoot with them a ton, Justin Miller.

SPEAKER_01

I don't even know Justin Miller.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, he he was team MDT or MPA guy. Uh he used to ride with Baker and I in the van all over the place. Maybe I do know him then. Yeah. You would have he would, I think he's been up to your place. Justin. Back in the day when you're running matches. But Justin can shoot.

SPEAKER_01

Back in the day. He doesn't uh Justin Miller. Um yeah. PRS ID. 4405. Last year he shot one match.

SPEAKER_00

Regional match. We hounded him enough. He gets he gets bored and he comes out. He uh he owns an estimating company. Okay. Yeah. Long hours on it.

SPEAKER_01

Two matches the last like five years. That is a dark horse. Yeah. 2020 though. Holy cow. This is when he was traveling with you and uh Baker, huh?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. My man can shoot. I know he can. I know he can load.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. 2019. Yeah. Super accurate. Southington Hunt Club. Man, I remember when we used to shoot there. All right. Rockland Precision. That's when MKM, look at that. He won a match there in June. Justin beat Keith. He beat Bill Allison. Chris Baker. Steiner was fifth. Cameron Collins, sixth. Brian Beck was eighth. This guy knew nothing back then. He was shooting tack. Ryan Beck was shooting. Allie Zayn was 12.

SPEAKER_02

I wonder if she's ever gonna come back.

SPEAKER_01

Have you heard from her Steiner?

SPEAKER_00

Uh I hear through the grapevine stuff. I guess she's out, I think in Jersey right now, doing an internship. Okay. She's into the I think the grad portion of her degree in uh chemical engineering. Hey. Smart, smart girl.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. She probably still looks like she's 16, but uh 23 now. 20, yeah, 20, 21. All right, Beamer. What's your last sleeper pick here? Man, I see a really good one there, too.

SPEAKER_02

Uh well, the I don't know very many of these names. Other than I think I saw Rob Trezeppa. It's about the Trazeppa that I that I recognize. Northern Illinois. We could give we could give shouts out to Ryan McClain, too. Is he oh yeah, he's semi-pro.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. It's probably the last year for him at semi-pro, I'm guessing. Yeah. I'll stick with Rob. We're gonna look at Rob's profile here, and the other one we're gonna look at is uh Gabriel Dowas. Um Zeppa. So actually, I'm probably shooting with him this weekend. Or no, no, obviously I'm not. Uh I'm shooting one day here. He's gonna be in Pennsylvania. Um yeah, he's done well. 10 was 10 there. Yeah, top 10.

SPEAKER_00

Um there's a lot of guys from Wisconsin.

SPEAKER_02

That's why I recognize his name. He shot Punisher.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. Yeah, this is, I mean, it's kind of a home range for for a lot of Wisconsinites. Um, like you're saying, that was real. I think this this guy could 15 10. Yeah, he's up there. Thanks, a good pick. All right. Um I want to I want to ask one more question about the area of Pennsylvania where you're at and um what uh what people can look forward to. Um what's the best place to eat there? They gotta eat here if they're coming.

SPEAKER_00

Oh god. Well, obviously it's the cluck truck on Saturday for lunch.

SPEAKER_01

The clock the cluck truck is delicious.

SPEAKER_00

Everybody loves it. So pull on the map if you're there, pull up Franklin, Pennsylvania.

SPEAKER_01

Franklin. Franklin's where uh is isn't it nearby? Uh Peterson?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's uh it's north. It's so just north of our range. Oh, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

No, I have eaten up. Yeah, we stayed at uh bread and backfires up here that was like right on a river. Super cool.

SPEAKER_00

So in town there, the the popular one everybody goes to is Trails to Ales. It's just a local it's a little Pennsylvania-based brewery. It's okay. Uh I mean, food's food's okay.

SPEAKER_01

Sure. Um here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, I'm just telling you, this is the common place. This is the popular place people go to.

SPEAKER_01

I mean a couple of if I Googled it, you know, or if I looked for food and I saw trail sales, I'd be like, yeah, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

So go a couple doors down to the right, there's a place called Smoke Cantina. We ate there two weeks ago during our one-day weekend.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_00

Uh should be right there with the green. Yeah, it was amazing.

SPEAKER_01

Amazing. Amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I got a 4.9. I got a filet with a baked potato and some Brussels sprouts, everything. It was just delicious.

SPEAKER_02

Let's take a look. It looks like a little place that's going to be full of PRF shooters to me. Uh, it very likely. Kraft cocktails.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, this looks like uh Fidel's type craft cocktails.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was this is my jam right here.

SPEAKER_01

Oh Chef Daniel. Danielle, sorry. Yeah, how dare you? Uh yeah, uh I assumed. Uh ready for your next culinary adventure.

SPEAKER_00

So it's not it's not very big on the inside. So if they're gonna go, I would say make sure you get a reservation or you get in there early. Luckily for everybody else, we will be done shooting early both days.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So plenty of time to get in. You have lots of time to relax Saturday after the match.

SPEAKER_01

Dapis menu, yeah. Yeah, what did we uh uh Andre is from the grill. Let's let's take a look. I I'm you know please leave comments in the YouTube uh video here if this is a segment of the show that you're actually interested in. Everybody's like, stop talking about food. And we'll stop talking about food. But I guess it's yeah, from the grill. You know what?

SPEAKER_02

They're in the comments, not on the microphones, so suck it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, homegrown elk burger. I'd be curious to know how that's homegrown. But that maybe sounds delicious.

SPEAKER_00

Pennsylvania has an elk population.

SPEAKER_01

Well, there you go. Maybe that's it.

SPEAKER_00

It's the only it's the only state in the eastern eastern Mississippi that has an elk population.

SPEAKER_01

And it's it's Wisconsin's got one too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But if you go probably like Canadian elk. They're probably Minnesotan elk.

SPEAKER_02

Those are called moose if they're Canadian elk.

SPEAKER_01

Well, we do have we have yeah, there are moose up north, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it looks like a phenomenal place to eat. I love it. Okay. You can do family style mix, girl, pick two for 80 or pick three for 100. I would definitely pick three with one of you guys. Just one. I love getting more food than I can eat.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's it's been there for a couple years. We've walked past it, and I'm like, Yeah, uh we never ate there. So I'm like, let's try this place. It looks good. I because initially, uh, when you hear smoke and cantina, I thought it was a kind of like a Mexican place. I didn't give it any you know attention. And I I read the menu and I'm like, wow, this looks really good.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. Franklin PA, folks, smoke cantina. And if you can't get in there, uh the poes down the road was at uh trails and beers or something like that.

SPEAKER_02

Trails and nails. Wow, look at that six-wheel car. Yeah, look at that. What is that? Wow, that's custom.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. All right. Um while we're here, let's let's take a look at uh manner's match. Um we have 86 signed up, which if you know we were to talk to those guys, that's that's where they want to be. Um that range is really it's I'll say compact. Um we kind of yeah, it's narrow. Like you can't host a huge match there, etc. I think I think we'll what we're gonna do. Why don't we pick four? Um seems like a good yeah, plus the sleeper. So actually, why don't I just hit the yeah, there we go. Yep. So we have uh 16 pros. So we're gonna have to we're gonna have to dip into some of the semi-pros here, too. So there's probably some solid similar pros.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I see a couple of might actually recognize some of their names too. Yep, they're in your next one from this region. Yep. Missy Gillad's gonna be out there. That's awesome.

SPEAKER_01

There you go.

SPEAKER_02

There's your first pick.

SPEAKER_01

Uh well. I'm third, so she's still on the table. We'll see. Um, all right. I know who I'm picking. Oh. Let me have my guy. Your guy? Yep. Who's your guy? Well, you know when you pick him. Let's go. I'm picking up.

SPEAKER_02

It is. It is. Yeah. I'm picking Mr. 300 already. Yep. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, I'm gonna go with with Hembry.

SPEAKER_01

Brandon Hembry. Umbre. The Umbre. Uh finished fifth last week. Uh well, last weekend. He is. Love that guy. I'm taking Josh Uicki. I think this is gonna be his first one. Pretty feel pretty good about that.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like he's kind of due to the.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's yeah. He's well, it's there. We have the ability to look some of this stuff up. Um let's type in you lookie. There's should be two of them. Spike and Josh. Spike is his dad.

SPEAKER_02

Does that make Josh the Spike Jr.? Okay. Backwards. Spike is the dad. You know, you know, he should have been the buck and Josh should have been the I get it.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I was uh taking a second there to follow you. But yeah. It took me a second to articulate the thought. Yeah. Without sounding idiot. His worst finish this year is out there with you, Steiner, at uh Vengeance, um, which is probably why he's choosing the head west this time. Uh 16th at Vortex. But man, he's got two seconds and a fourth. By golly. Yep. Southern I have a showdown, THS, and Collis, he was fourth at. So I think this is it for him. Yep, that's solid. Yep. Yep. All right, I got another one here. Um Dan Harris Sportsman.

SPEAKER_00

If he wasn't shooting Sportsman, I'd take him as an open pick. I yeah I think that gun heats up a little bit at the end of the match, and he he dropped points. I remember shooting with him at Texas earlier in the year, and I think that's just the nature of some of those sportsman guns. Barrels get hot and groups open up.

SPEAKER_01

It's something you gotta, yeah, especially if you're shooting carbon, it's something you gotta struggle, you know, struggle with. I'm gonna take Matt Sabaka. Dirty dog. Yeah. Well, who knows if that guy's even getting any sleep now. He's still got a kid, young kid at home. So we'll see.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I mean. I think I'm gonna I think I'm gonna go with my man Robert Brantley. Ah, hold on, I'm gonna check that. It's a fortune gun. I just talked myself out of it. I mean, there's all right, scroll down a little bit. I want to see what else is going on at the semi-pro level.

SPEAKER_03

And yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man.

SPEAKER_02

I know people that you don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm gonna just pick all these Kansas guys. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man.

SPEAKER_01

Chris Parsons, that name's familiar. I think I think he's pretty solid. I'm gonna look him up here. Parsons. Holy God, there's a ton of Parsons. So he shows up as an am. Uh current season been shooting it. Yeah, three, sixty-five, ninety-four, one twelve. Too soon yet, I think. Brandon Bean, Brandon Wixo. There's gotta be some guys in here that a lot of unclassed shooters on this one. Which is kind of crazy because it's I mean, a small match, and you would think that's a good one. I'm trying to scroll up.

SPEAKER_02

I'm trying to scroll up on my screen.

SPEAKER_00

Doing the same thing.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, I'll I'm moving. I'm moving. Matt Recci, our boy from Hornity. Be there. Greg Glass, our boy from Garmin. I mean, we're right in the middle of it here.

SPEAKER_00

I mean.

SPEAKER_02

Jason Waller not signed up for this match?

SPEAKER_00

Oh boy. I saw him in there.

SPEAKER_02

I think he's a semi-bro, in it. Yeah, yeah. He uh he shoots really well at the gap range, so don't count him out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I saw him. I was gonna use him as my dark horse.

SPEAKER_01

Uh yeah, I would.

SPEAKER_00

But now I let the cat out of the bag, you guys are gonna snatch him up. I mean, I just I don't know a ton of the guys because I don't spend a lot of time in that Midwest section of the country.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I'm gonna To your detriment, sir. It's kind of flat and dusty.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, this is a beautiful range here, though. Kansas City.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, is the is as much as I hate that he's not at my place this weekend, I'm gonna go with Michael Look. I'm gonna give my man over T3 Optics a little lump.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Beamer. All right. Uh my first pick for my next two is gonna be a semi-pro. Garrett Stevens. Garrett Stevens is a study. And he definitely will not be a semi-pro next year if I were a betting man. Yep. Um then my next pick. Scroll back up. Let me just double check my pros that are still on the table. Uh Trent Peterson. Trent Peterson. He was uh top five at Punisher? Okay. I believe. Definitely top ten. I think he was fifth. Yep. Well, that's my dude. Back to Mr. Steiner.

SPEAKER_00

I think I'm just gonna I'm gonna go to my dark hurt horse early, is Waller. I think I'm gonna take a chance to him.

SPEAKER_02

There you go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um, I get two here. I I'm gonna go with Eric Ashbach.

SPEAKER_02

Early shooting, shooting pretty solid this year. I I think so. Um his his problem is like he keeps shooting really good on day one at Pro Series matches, and then he uh he starts having come apart on day two.

SPEAKER_01

Ashback. Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah, Eric's uh great guy. He is 14th, 14th. Northern Knights, man. Okay. Good pick.

SPEAKER_02

There's that. He's he's had a couple of matches this year where he was like near the top of the heap on day one.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

And uh he's he's come up a lot this year compared to the last couple of years.

SPEAKER_01

I take this Paul T. Martin as well, who uh Paul's a good 11, a 10, a 26. I feel pretty good for that.

SPEAKER_02

That Paul's a good one for sure. I probably would have yanked him for my last pick.

SPEAKER_01

Last pick.

SPEAKER_02

He deserves more than that, right? Don't you, Paul? I think, yeah, you're right. But I mean, that's all I have left is my last pick. That's it. Yep. I didn't mean I didn't mean my I didn't mean mean as a sleeper. But um my number four. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Uh back to Steiner.

SPEAKER_00

Hmm. I'm gonna go with my man Denny.

SPEAKER_01

Denny O. I love Danny. I don't know why he changed his name, Denny O, but um he Denny Denny. Uh let's let's go back.

SPEAKER_00

Um they changed their name so it makes it harder for us to record their scores.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um, Denny was the uh he was uh candidate last year for Sportsman of the Year. Uh Sportsmanship. Been shooting well this year, 2017. Yeah. Top 30s, you know, in here. Yep. Should do all right. Been shooting a lot. It's got eight matches in. This is number nine. See him at this year's finale, too. Hopefully.

unknown

Hmm. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Who do I want to do?

SPEAKER_02

Who do I want to do?

SPEAKER_01

You get this one in your sleeper, you get two here. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. Uh oh, I well, he's shooting production. Uh scroll down a little. Scroll down a little. Let me see some marksmans. Gosh dang.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Ryan Young is a marksman here. That's yeah, that's kind of crazy. He's been around forever. Forever. And just shoots a couple matches a year. He can talk to us about food. He's a chef. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Uh give me Michael Olson. Ah, Pride of Minnesota.

SPEAKER_01

Uh and a great videographer, too.

SPEAKER_02

He is, certainly.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Takes uh he'll probably have a match video for us, too. I should have put him as my sleeper because I just spied one that I missed.

SPEAKER_01

All right. I mean, we'll let you do this.

SPEAKER_03

Will you?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I will.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So you're gonna take.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um, yeah, give me give me Olsen as my sleeper. Yeah. And then uh Keith and Drury. It's a pretty solid shooter. Keithan? Uh you're right there. Okay. There you go. Oh, dang it. Or Ben Graham. Whatever. I guess somebody else gets Ben Graham now. Oh no, we're all done. No, we're done with that. Yeah. Ben Graham would have been a great choice, too. Ben Graham is the uh co-MD for the Iowa match. Yeah, good shooter. He shoots well at uh gap range, too. Yeah. Yeah, but uh that's okay.

SPEAKER_00

Should be a good uh does the sleeper have to be a guy that's not a pro?

SPEAKER_01

Correct. Yep, I think that's the only yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna say, I was gonna take Dan Harrod with a sportsman gun.

SPEAKER_01

Honestly, I I think that's fair. Okay, because we're talking about open scores, right?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean he's a great shooter, but the sportsman rifle is gonna be that's the hand. Push him around quite a bit at that. Yeah, push him around quite a bit at that range.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, and I I saw him in here. David Benner. I was trying to keep my mouth shut. That is Clay's dark horse pick every time. Yeah, so let's uh let's take a look. Umer. Bring this up. There it is. There you go. Uh Southwest. Yeah. He shot well already this year. Oh wow. Yeah, he's had a top 10. 11th. He was 11th at Hornet EPRC.

SPEAKER_00

So that's pretty good.

SPEAKER_01

That's pretty good. Yeah. Yep. All right. Last thing on the menu for this evening. Uh where are we getting where are we getting barbecue in Kansas City?

SPEAKER_02

Uh, you're not gonna like this, but uh if I were gonna go to get barbecue in Kansas City, I'd drive to Wichita, Kansas.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no, that's how far is that two hours?

SPEAKER_02

Uh Char bar. Char bar's good. Char bar. Always a fan of Joe's. Joe's has uh they're they're kind of like that's like the the the the classic Kansas City barbecue place.

SPEAKER_01

Uh uh help help me here, because last time one of the last times I was in Kansas City, we we actually saw stop and saw Jason Waller and he's like, hey, you gotta go to this place. Like I think it was Joe's. Joe's did it started in an old gas station, I think. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The original location is an old gas station.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Now it's now you can get it anywhere, right? Or they have more locations.

SPEAKER_02

They've got a few different locations. Yeah, that's the original right there. That's the original. Yeah, you go there and uh I like the Z-Man sandwich, which is a brisket sandwich with provolone cheese on it and an onion ring. And barbecue sauce right there.

SPEAKER_01

I think yeah I think that's what Jason told me to get to sandwich for sure.

SPEAKER_02

They have really good fries and baked beans as well. Yeah. Let's see. But there's a bunch I mean there's a bunch of good spots. Q39's good.

SPEAKER_01

Q39 Midtown. All right let's let's maybe focus a little bit on the east side here because uh the guy Lee Summit 70 Lee Summit.

SPEAKER_02

Lee Summit is like the closest uh actual city.

SPEAKER_01

Lee Summit I see it right there.

SPEAKER_02

It's down and right from Taste of Kansas barbecue.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. We uh well there's Summit Grill Lee Summit. I don't think that's what we're talking about here but anything out here?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah I mean there's the I mean the Olive Garden. There you go. You can get you know there all you can all you can eat pasta options. There you go.

SPEAKER_01

Is there choskeys or something right here?

SPEAKER_02

There's a jack stack and Lee Summit. That'd probably be all right.

SPEAKER_01

Jack stack I didn't see that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah okay yeah Lee Summit is on the way to Georgia's range.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah but if you can I think Joe's is still the right Joe's is still the kind of quintessential Kansas City place. Somebody's gonna correct us you can you can say it in the comments here on YouTube but the tricky the tricky part about Joe's is I well I don't know I mean I don't know what their hours are they it's always I've always been there for like lunch.

SPEAKER_02

So same yeah yeah I mean you're read by Kansas City so there's a million really good options. Yeah don't go at anything less than like a 4.7 on Google. There's so many good places to eat in that area that you don't need to shortchange yourself.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. There you go looking for hours here for Joe's um yeah they're open on nine perfect there you go there you go Joe's Kansas City BBQ. Cool all right boys uh anything anything else you want to mention before we cut it loose guys hope everybody shoots well and shoots straight this weekend there you go um hey thanks for everybody for hanging in there uh I guess I'm gonna mention here the Matt Caruso online training uh his 20% discount for his clean match is the discount code is flawless20 flawless20 so there you go thank you Matt for offering that thank you folks for hanging around listening to the end of this uh this show we'll see you next week thanks guys
