Today we continue our study through the Book of Romans with Romans Chapter 10. In the previous chapter, Paul emphasized God’s sovereignty and mercy. Now in Romans Chapter 10, Paul focuses on humanity’s responsibility to respond to the Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ. This chapter contains one of the clearest invitations to salvation in all of Scripture and emphasizes the importance of proclaiming the message of Christ to the world.

It's amazing to see how God continues to grow this ministry. I'm reminded of this powerful truth in Hebrews chapter 4, verse 12. For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword. Praise God that his word is moving, reaching hearts, and being shared in 46 countries around the world. We want to take a moment to say hello to our listeners in Burnsville, North Carolina, Jackson, Mississippi, Greenbelt, Maryland, Liverpool, New York, and St. John's, Florida, United States. We are truly grateful you're here with us today. Thank you for walking alongside us as we share God's Word. It means more than we can put into words.

Welcome to Giving God Praise. This is a podcast where we walk through the entire Bible book by book and chapter by chapter. Our desire is to discover not only what God's Word says, but what it means to praise God in our daily lives. In each episode, we explore a promise to claim, a response to make, an attitude to change, an instruction to obey, a sin to confess, and an example to follow. So let's go ahead and grab our Bibles and dive into today's teaching. Today we continue our study through the book of Romans with Romans chapter 10. In the previous chapter, Paul emphasized God's sovereignty and mercy. Now in Romans chapter 10, Paul focuses on humanity's responsibility to respond to the gospel through faith in Jesus Christ. This chapter contains one of the clearest invitations to salvation in all of Scripture and emphasizes the importance of proclaiming the message of Christ to the world. Like me, I think many believers know people they deeply love who are far from God. Paul expressed a genuine burden for Israel and longed for them to experience salvation through Christ. I think many Christians understand that same feeling of praying for family members, friends, children, spouses, co-workers, or others who have not yet fully surrendered their lives to Jesus. Romans chapter 10 reminds us that salvation is available to everyone who believes and calls upon the name of the Lord. It also reminds us how important it is for believers to continue sharing the gospel because people cannot believe in the message of Christ if they never hear it. This chapter challenges us not to stay silent about the hope we have found in Jesus Christ, but we must continue to proclaim the gospel to the world, and that is what I intend to do through this podcast. So let's begin reading Romans chapter 10. Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God concerning them is for their salvation. I can testify about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. Because they disregarded the righteousness from God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted themselves to God's righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law. That is, to bring Christ up from the dead. On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim. If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. Now the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame, for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But how can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things! But all did not obey the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message? So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ. But I ask, did they not hear? Yes they did. Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the inhabited world. But I ask, did Israel not understand? First Moses said, I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation. I will make you angry by a nation that lacks understanding. And Isaiah says boldly, I was found by those who were not looking for me. I revealed myself to those who were not asking for me. But to Israel he says, All day long I have spread out my hands to a disobedient and defiant people. Let's take a moment now to pause and bring our hearts before the Lord. Heavenly Father, thank you for the truth of Romans chapter 10 and the incredible reminder that salvation is available to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your mercy, grace, and the hope found through the gospel. Lord, help us never become silent about the message of Christ. Give us boldness, compassion, wisdom, and love as we share the hope of salvation with others. Strengthen every listener today who may be praying for loved ones who are far from you. Remind us that faith comes through hearing your word and that your gospel still has the power to save lives today. Teach us to trust fully in your righteousness instead of our own efforts and help us walk faithfully before you with hearts surrendered to Christ. Open our hearts today to receive your truth deeply and draw us closer to you. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Now that we have read God's Word and opened our hearts to Him in prayer, let's begin our praise study and listen to what God wants to say to our hearts today. One powerful promise we see in Romans chapter 10 is that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. That promise is one of the clearest and most hope-filled invitations in all of Scripture, because it reminds us that salvation through Jesus Christ is available to every person who believes. No background, past failure, nationality, or life story places someone beyond the reach of God's grace. Salvation is not reserved for a select group of people who appear spiritually perfect. It is available to everyone who genuinely places their faith in Christ. Another promise in this chapter is that those who believe in him will not be put to shame. God remains faithful to those who trust him. This chapter also reminds us that faith comes through hearing the message about Christ. God still uses his word to reach hearts, transform lives, and draw people toward salvation today. And honestly, there is something incredibly encouraging about realizing that even simple acts of sharing Scripture, encouraging someone spiritually, or inviting others to hear God's word can become part of how God reaches lives through the gospel. If this study is encouraging you today, consider sharing it with someone who may need the reminder that God's grace and salvation are still available through Jesus Christ. The response we are called to make in Romans chapter 10 is to place our faith fully in Jesus Christ rather than trusting in our own righteousness or religious effort. Paul explains that many pursued righteousness through works instead of submitting to the righteousness that comes through faith. That response challenges believers to stop striving endlessly to earn what God freely gives through grace. Salvation comes through believing in Christ and confessing him as Lord. Another response we see in this chapter is developing a genuine burden for people who are far from God. Paul's heart deeply desired for Israel to be saved, and he prayed earnestly for them. Christians are called to care about the spiritual condition of others rather than becoming indifferent or self-focused spiritually. This chapter also calls believers to share the gospel boldly. Paul asks how people can believe if they have never heard the message about Christ. That reminder places responsibility on believers to continue spreading God's word faithfully. And maybe someone listening today needs the reminder that one conversation, one invitation, or one moment of sharing Scripture could become part of how God changes someone's eternity forever. Romans chapter 10 challenges us to change our attitude from self-reliance to complete dependence on Christ. Human nature naturally wants to prove worthiness through effort, performance, religion, or achievement. But Paul reminds believers that righteousness comes through faith in Jesus Christ rather than human works. This chapter also calls us to move from silence to boldness. Many Christians genuinely love God, yet hesitate to speak openly about their faith because of fear, insecurity, rejection, or uncertainty about what to say. Yet Romans chapter 10 reminds us how important it is for people to hear the message of Christ. Another attitude to change is moving from spiritual indifference to compassion for others. Paul carried deep sorrow and concern for people who were separated from God. That example challenges believers to pray more earnestly and care more deeply about the salvation of others. One reason I love chapters like this is because they remind us that the gospel is not meant to stay hidden quietly within us, it is meant to be shared so others can experience the hope and salvation found through Jesus Christ. The instruction to obey in Romans chapter 10 is to believe in Jesus Christ fully and proclaim the gospel faithfully. Paul clearly explains that salvation comes through believing in the heart and confessing with the mouth that Jesus is Lord. That instruction reminds believers that Christianity is not merely external religion or intellectual agreement. It involves genuine faith and surrender to Christ. Another instruction in this chapter is to continue spreading the message of God's Word. Paul asks how people can hear unless someone proclaims the gospel to them. Christians are called to be faithful witnesses through conversations, encouragement, teaching, prayer, invitations, and sharing Scripture with others. This chapter also instructs believers to trust in God's righteousness instead of trying to establish their own righteousness through works. Obedience means resting in the finished work of Christ rather than constantly striving for acceptance through performance. As we continue walking through Romans together, my prayer is that God would continue strengthening our faith and giving us boldness to share the hope of the gospel with people around us. The sin to confess in Romans chapter 10 is the sin of depending on our own righteousness instead of fully trusting in Jesus Christ. Paul explains that many people attempted to establish righteousness through works rather than submitting themselves to God's righteousness through faith. Human pride naturally wants to earn approval and control, standing before God through personal effort. Yet salvation comes only through Christ. This chapter also confronts the sin of silence. Many believers know the truth of the gospel but hesitate to share it because of fear, insecurity, distraction, or concern about people's opinions. Romans chapter 10 reminds believers that people need to hear the message of Christ in order to believe. Another sin to confess is spiritual indifference toward those who are far from God. Paul carried genuine sorrow and prayerful concern for people who needed salvation. Confession allows believers to bring pride, fear, apathy, self-reliance, and spiritual complacency honestly before the Lord, so he can continue shaping their hearts through his grace. And maybe someone listening today needs the reminder that God can still use ordinary people to share an extraordinary message of hope through Jesus Christ. The example to follow in Romans chapter 10 is Paul's deep burden and compassion for people who needed salvation. Paul genuinely desired for Israel to know Christ and prayed earnestly for them. That example reminds believers that evangelism should never become mechanical, prideful, or disconnected from love. Paul cared deeply about people's eternal condition. Another example we see in this chapter is the obedience of those who proclaim the gospel. Paul describes the feet of those who bring good news as beautiful because they carry the message of life and salvation through Christ. This chapter also demonstrates the example of faith-filled dependence on God's righteousness rather than human effort. Salvation belongs completely to God through Jesus Christ. Every time believers share Scripture, pray for someone's salvation, encourage another person spiritually, or point someone toward Jesus Christ, they participate in spreading the same gospel Paul proclaimed throughout Romans chapter 10. Romans chapter 10 reminds us that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, and that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. This chapter challenges believers to stop depending on their own righteousness and instead trust fully in the finished work of Christ. It also reminds us how important it is for the gospel to continue being proclaimed, because faith comes through hearing the message about Jesus. Take time today to reflect honestly before the Lord. Are you trusting fully in Christ or still relying on your own efforts to feel accepted before God? Have fear or distraction caused you to stay silent about your faith? And are you praying earnestly for the people in your life who still need to hear the gospel? If this message encouraged you today, consider sharing it with someone who may need the reminder that salvation and hope are available through Jesus Christ. We invite you to continue walking with us through God's Word at www.giving GodPraisePodcast.com as we grow together, book by book and chapter by chapter. As we close today's praise study, let's take a moment to go before the Lord together in prayer. Heavenly Father, thank you for the truth of Romans chapter 10 and the incredible reminder that salvation is available to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your mercy, grace, and the hope found through the gospel. Lord, help us never become silent about the message of Christ. Remind us that faith comes through hearing your word and that your gospel still has the power to save lives today. Teach us to trust fully in your righteousness instead of our own efforts and help us walk faithfully before you with hearts surrendered to Christ. Continue using your word to strengthen believers and draw people closer to Jesus Christ. May God bless you and keep you in his grace. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
