Do America's Christian Roots Matter Today?

Maybe. Or maybe they're the most important thing to consider.
So there's been lots and lots of talk these days about whether America was actually founded as a Christian nation. There's even been apparently some research works done as to describe how much the Bible was quoted as opposed to any other philosopher or previous uh politician or political theory in the writings of the founding fathers and their foundational documents, their writings back and forth to each other, their discussions, Federalist papers, the Brudist papers. And there's been a lot of finding that it was the most the Bible, the Bible was the most significant source of Christian influence, was the most polit, was the most used source of influence of all the writings. And so some people will say, so what? That's the founding of the document. Well, to my mind, it kind of puts it in the same category of you know, I to me it just means that somebody without a solid Christian foundation of knowledge, maybe of behavior and habit, someone without that is going to be fundamentally at odds with the very structure of America, the same way that an expert soccer player would be at odds leading a rugby team. Sure there are some similarities, but it's not enough to actually effectively lead this particular type of nation. So yeah, maybe the founding of the Christian of the America as a Christian based on maybe the founding of America as the nation based on the most Christian of principles doesn't mean anything nowadays, or maybe, just maybe. It's the most important thing that we should be looking for in anyone that we ask to lead us. Cheers.
