Maybe. Or maybe they ignore human nature.
They're getting another truck podcast today And I just wanted to talk a little bit about this thing called a gun free zone And I got a simple talk about a gun free zone and um saying no guns allowed here is a little bit like putting a sign on a sheet pen that says no canines allowed inside. So you might say it's aimed at wolves and foxes and all that, but it also means it's gonna keep out the guard dogs. And guess which one of them is gonna listen to you? Wolves or the guard dogs? That's right. You have effectively kept the guard dogs out and told the wolves that there are no guard dogs inside. Where you see wolves do not follow orders. And if you were to say to the farmer who put that up there, hey, why don't you just say no wolves inside? And they say, well, I don't want to be specious about this. You know that farmer is benefiting more from the death of the sheep than he would be from being responsible with the sheep. Instead, we actually wanted to cut back on some of this wolf crime. What you do is don't even put up a sign, just put dogs, good guard dogs, in the middle of every flock. And that way the wolves gotta think twice before coming after sheep. So um and that's a little bit how I look at it. Once again, it's not from the perspective of the law-abiding citizen who has to be scared of a canine near them, but it is from the perspective of a wolf who then has to try and wonder if this nice easy meal is gonna be worth the death it might cost. So yeah, maybe you can say guns in general, gun free zones should be able to keep people safe, or maybe, just maybe, they're a lot safer if criminals feel terrified to go there. Cheers.
