If you think of it like high school, voting in the primaries makes the most difference.

Alright here, this one ain't a true maybe just maybe uh episode. This one's a little bit more of an illustrative episode. I want to talk today about the concept of the primary elections. Now, there's talk about how it's important to primary certain politicians, especially those in your own preferred political party, so that you get the best choices further up the path. I would like to give this an illustration. Evan help me, I am using high school. So in high school, it is homecoming week. Now you have to select from your class a couple that you want to compete for the best homecoming king and queen. So you want to choose, if you're in the freshman class, you want to choose the freshman couple that you believe is the best that your class can do. Now, who you think that is very, very differently from the person who sits next to you in mathematics class, but that's the nature of the whole thing. So you vote for your freshman representative, alright, and then later there is another vote made to determine from the four-class couples who is the homecoming king and queen. Alright? Now there is another level after that yet. Because after all that's done, there is a grander competition pitting the homecoming king and queen for your school in a voting contest against the homecoming king and queen of the entire school district set of schools. So more people probably gonna be interested in the second and third layers, school homecoming and regional homecoming. That means if you want to have an influence where more people are gonna throw their votes, you have to put in your influence where fewer people throw their votes. They don't care as much. So if you care about who's gonna represent your class to your school and your school to the other schools, it really does matter that you vote for the one you love all the way down at the primary level. Just been little political truck talk. Cheers.
