Two moms. Zero children. Serious case of California withdrawal. See, we told you guys last time. This we struggle. We really struggle. It's so hard to say those words. And I don't know why, but it is. I know. And it's so catchy, so you think it would be like just flow. Enough it's fun, but that's not how it happens at all. But this is us. This is like we're kind of hot messes. We're always always a hot mess. And it's you can tell because it's ponytail day. This is called I need to wash my hair day. Like I didn't do any realest thing ever. I feel like a lot of women go through that like okay, hair wash day, right? Yes. So you wash it, you have it all cute, flat ironed, perfect. Then that's like two days. Then you have like You have to do it again. Split, you know, half up, half down, then slick back, and then messy ponytail and messy bun, and then you're like, okay, my head's on fire. I need to watch it. It's so true. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. So um yeah. How's your morning? It's been okay. It's been alright. I feel like You slept in late. The world's on fire. Yeah. That's probably why you slept in late. You're like, okay. Well, okay, I'm a bum though. I'll like get my kids to school and then come back home and just go back to sleep, which I shouldn't. My house is perfection all the time. It's a psycho. But I just I don't know. I you know, you feel like afterwards. I know. But I'm like so tired. I don't sleep well. I doom scroll and see all the crazy shit that this orange motherfucker is talking about. I I just can't. It's too much. It's I mean, we're gonna we try not we're trying not to make it all about politics, right? But it's not a political podcast, but it's a what's being the word podcast. But this is where we're at. And stay in our time, and it's so hard not to talk about it. And we just I mean I think we do a pretty good job, but if we're like if we're honest and we have to be because we're podcasters, yeah. We have to talk about current events and what's happening in the world. The shit is what's happening in the world, yeah. Yeah. And so you can't And we're not gonna ignore it. We're not because that one, that's not who we are. We we talk about it often, right? Privately, like personally. Yes, yes. And this it's important to talk about it. Like it it does get draining though. So that's we have to be like, okay, we're done with that for now, you know. But it's just I don't understand why why this is happening. I just broke my pen. Everything at the price of everything is just insane. It is actually groceries and being like Oh my gosh. Everything that everything is going up up up up. I got gas yesterday. Me too. Four dollars at the pump. Just under four. Yeah. How much was it to fill your tank? Because you have a smaller car than me. I have a smaller car. I I drive a an SUV. Yeah. Um, and it's on the larger side of the mid-size SUV because I guess you could say about 58. On the dot. You never get 58 minus on the dot. I thought 8475. Ooh. That hurts. Yeah. That hurts. Yeah. Well, and when we got here, it was 199 a gallon. So I know. Um, but you know, thanks for voting for him. Because he was gonna lower gas prices. Yeah, lower gas prices. Your eggs are gonna be cheaper. Yeah, so we appreciate that. Thank you. Thank you. It should make summer travel really you well. Speaking of summer travel, okay. So doom scrolling and summer travel. Here we go. Yeah. I everybody keeps saying Vegas is dead. Vegas is dead. Is Vegas dead? Is Vegas dead? I don't know. I haven't been to Vegas in years. I haven't either moving here. So we living in California. Four hours. Yes. It was yeah, four hours straight shoot. Yeah. We cannot drive to Vegas anymore. You know, we could if we wanted to die slowly in our car. Miserable. Because that drive through Texas. I don't know if any of you guys have driven from like anywhere on the West Coast into Texas, but you are in Texas for 442 hours. Yes, you are. Arizona, boom. New Mexico, boom. Texas. Oh my God. Yeah. You're like, we're still oh, we're still not out? Yeah. We're still we're still not out. Oh, okay. Wait, we're still not out? Yeah. Where are we? Yeah. Texas. The kids wake up. It's been 12 hours. Yes. And and like coming in from the West Coast, like when you get to El Paso and stuff, like it's still really pretty. Because like not there's there's stuff to look at. Yeah. But then once you're like past that area, it's so flat and so boring. There's nothing. There's that. Well, I mean, look, New Mexico, in all fairness, New Mexico and Arizona are pretty flat. But there's something not boring about those two. Yeah, I don't. I maybe because you're in it for so long when you're here. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. Because you're not past Arizona. Oh, New Mexico doesn't add forever. But we we've talked about that for travel this summer. Yeah. Okay. There's six of us, right? So do we fly? And that's that's pretty. Or do we drive? But that's not going to save us money because gas prices and our car has to seat a lot of people. A lot of people, yeah. And you have a big car, so like our oldest son is really, really tall. So, you know, having the space. So yeah, we could get a smaller car and like squeeze in or whatever, but then it's uncomfortable for everyone. Well it's uncomfortable, and then where do you put your stuff? Yeah. You're going on vacation for each uh look, everybody needs you might not have like a large suitcase, whatever, and everybody's got duffel bags, and then you gotta have stuff for the kids in the cars. And you always eat, you always let you know, have a little something. So it's spread well, you could go to Vegas. Do we want to go to Vegas? I don't know. But they I guess apparently like they all have these like travel deals because they're saying Vegas is dead. I haven't been, I don't know if you've been. Will you let me know? Yeah. Because I kind of I mean it wouldn't be bad to go back. Like, I like Vegas. Yeah. We lived in Vegas. I did you know that about me? I did know that about you. We lived in Las Vegas for two years and it was so close before kids, and we had the best time. It was awesome. But they have these like travel packets, like MGM, it says $300 full trip. I don't know what that means. New York is like offering like 30 to 40% off like packages. So are we taking the trip to Vegas? Is that what you're doing? I think we should do a girls' trip to Vegas. No. If it's hot girl summer, maybe we should take an end of the summer trip to Vegas, me and you. Just me and you. Maybe next summer. I mean a hot girl summer, and then we have to get to hot girl summer. So I don't know. Like, I don't know. I'm not even I'm not even at like cute girl summer. So I'm not even at like she's alright summer. Yeah. Um I'm not even at beer goggles. Girl summer, okay? Oh my god. If I'm gonna go, or if I if we go, we should actually, that would be kind of fun though, to plan like a girl's trip to Vegas. Yes, yeah, for sure. It would be fine. Like maybe we can go. But like if we go, like I want to go old school because like I want to leave the kids at home. Yeah. Probably the husbands at home too. I don't think I can hang though. Like, okay, let me ask you this. Okay. We both are like night owls. Right. We both we both stay up pretty damn late and then regret it every morning. Every. But like I've noticed this, and I've talked to my husband about this. Like, when we're out, I am exhausted. Like, okay, perfect example. When we Halloween, right? Yes. Our friends have amazing. Yeah. They go all out with their decorating event. It's so fun. It's just phenomenal. And they're the sweetest people, and it's just, it's great. Yeah. But like we were so tired. But like we worked the next day too. 10 o'clock. Oh, yeah. We were like, but any given night, we stay up until one, two, yes. And we're fine. I mean, not fine. You're like, well, you're social. So I like stimulus. And it's so funny, like, this is totally like squirrel, right? Yeah. My brain. But like my parents, they travel a whole lot for work, but they're like never home. Like once they get home, they'll be like, oh, let's go meet so and so for a cocktail or whatever. And I'm always like, like, my mom came into town yesterday and she was up at 3 30 her time. So Stan, you know, then she didn't go to sleep till 11 last night here. And I'm like, how? Like, and she had to work and dinner and stuff. And I'm like, how do you do that? Like, and she's like, I don't know. I just I just do, you know? But But it's different. It it's different back home. It's different. I'm sorry, it just isn't. No, it is, it is. But I'm just saying, like, how do you do like my parents don't stop? Right. Like they don't have little ones running around. But also, and this was we were having this discussion when we went home for Christmas. Yeah. Cause I'm like, you guys just like are like on the go all the time. Yeah. And my mom's like, well, we spent because there's six of us, right? Like I f my sibling. Right. And we're my mom was like, well, we were broke, you know, yeah. Back then. And we didn't have a choice to be but to be home because we were raising you guys, and you know, it everything was like your guys' sports, just like we are right now. Yeah. And and I'm like, yeah, I get that, but I also feel like, aren't you guys exhausted? Like she's like, Yeah, but we just push through. Yeah. Well, you guys are better than me. She's just living your best life. Yeah. I'm like, no, I'm good. Yeah. Like last night she's like, come to dinner. I was like, meh. And I love going out. Yeah. But I just some like I don't know. It's just this funky time. It's just this funky time. It's tired. It's weird. Well, and also too, like I've no, like it's the vibe is so different, especially like that beach. I think that beach vibe. Yeah. Because everything is like it's cute, it's a beat, it's close. Uh-huh. And I think and the weather's great. And like, I think the weather, like for here, it's really draining. Yeah. Everything is far. If it's five minutes away, it's 30 minutes away. Or five miles a day. That's a whole episode that we have to talk about driving and traffic here. It's it's crazy. It's crazy. And we drove in LA all the time. And it was like more peaceful than it is here. Yeah, it's it's a box. But that's a whole episode. Oh, yeah, we'll talk about that. That's a whole episode. Because we have we have to address that. Yeah. Because that's yeah. But I also think like I don't know, because I used to do that when I was back home. Like I used to do that. Like my friends would be like, let's meet at this bar for a drink. Me too. And we would go and it was fine, and we wouldn't be out even like super, super late. But it was just was so close and easy and convenient. Everybody did it. Here I don't get like the Maybe if we were downtown. Because we're not, right? So not, but I still even think that it's different. Yeah. I don't know. Somebody needs to explain that to us. Because even downtown is like rough. Like it's not easy to get around. Right, right. Yeah. I don't know. It's I don't know. But yeah, so I mean we can try and maybe we can have oh my god, let's have an old lady summer. That's a great can we wear moo? Yes, please. They're called caftans now. Are they? I don't know. And then I decided, because I have I went through my hat collection the other day. I have so much. Yeah, you do have a lot of hats. And I love hats. But they look so sweet on you. Thank you. We can wear tennis shoes or burger socks. Because everybody does. Yeah. These young people, they got a lot wrong, but they got that right. I don't know, because I love a good heel. I do too, but all nice? Up sh listen, I'm not beneath a flat. You know what though? I used to rock some heels and go out dancing. That'd be fine. Oh yeah, for sure. You know what we should do? Oh, this is what I want to know. Okay, have you heard of the uh the early nightclubs that they're doing for people? Yes. Okay. Oh my god, we need to start one of those. Listen, they have one. Because I'm good with it. Yeah. Right? Yeah. And so I think that's where like everyone should be. Everyone should think not trying to worry about other people and you know, like their opinions. And I think that's important. But like, I don't know. I just everything's already a clusterfuck. Yeah. Right? So let's just do what we enjoy. And and I think that's so important. I do too. Yeah. Like the top half of me is tan and the bottom like my legs are just go sleepy pale white. It's crazy. I always joke with all my kids that I'm transparent and transparent. No, I'm transparent.
